00:02Hello, Northern Territory. It is Sunday, the 11th of October, and this is your weather forecast for
00:06the week ahead. As you can see, there's a bit of rain on the way. Between 25 and 75 mils
00:11is possible
00:12to be accumulated over the week down here in the south, but also up in the sort of
00:17northwest coastal region. It should also be said that there are some weather warnings for a heat
00:22wave. It's sort of a low to severe intensity heat wave over the start of the week. Although
00:29when I look at the actual temperatures, it's only a few degrees above usual. So possibly something
00:35that you'll just think is a bit of a silly meteorologist artifact and not really something
00:39that you're concerned about. But definitely have a look into your area to see if that should be
00:42something to guide your decisions if you're out in the heat quite a bit. Okay, let's go through the
00:48weekly breakdown. So this is Sunday, the 11th. I should start off by saying there's a lot of
00:53trophy action. And by trophy, I mean, there's just lots of low pressure troughs through the interior
00:57of the country, which is what's driving a lot of this weather, as well as what to me appears like
01:01an atmospheric river moving through as well. So a lot of the moisture behind it. All right,
01:04that being said, let's get into it. So Sunday, two to five mils, which we can see down in the
01:09south.
01:11Same here for Monday, you can start to see this cooling off in the maximum temperatures.
01:15I'm assuming a lot of that coolness is from a thick cloud band that's delivering this rainfall.
01:20A possibility of five to 15 mils here on Monday. Similar for Tuesday. Wednesday, it intensifies.
01:27So a possibility of 25 to 50 mils locally down in the south. Darwin's starting to get between one
01:32and five mils here. But that's also really cooling off the south as well. Thursday, that intense rain
01:37tracks a little bit further north. And again, around the Darwin region, we're now seeing between five
01:42and 15 mils possible there. Friday, the south dries out relatively, although there's still rain on
01:48the way. And then again, more rain up in the north there as well. And quite cool temperatures compared
01:52to what we've seen, but still 30 to 35. So pretty standard for this time of year. Okay.
01:58Saturday, similar story here. And Sunday, again, relatively similar as well. So what I would say
02:05is that most of the rain is coming this week for the sort of Darwin coastal region and then down
02:11in
02:11the southern regions. Most of the intensity of those rainfall systems is Tuesday and Wednesday.
02:17Otherwise, it's starting to develop a little bit. We're starting to see the start of the wet season
02:21coming. So yeah, that's maybe good news for you. Not sure. But I hope either way that you stay safe
02:27this week. Have a good one. And I'll see you next time. Bye.
