00:03hello it is the 13th of september and this is the weather forecast for the northern territory in
00:07queensland starting out having a look at the current weather map we can see there's a dominating
00:11high pressure system here on the east coast driving some onshore breeze and then some northerly winds
00:16so relatively warm it stays pretty stable across the week i'm seeing a few low pressure troughs
00:22develop in the region but they're not really associated with any rainfall maybe a little bit
00:26of cloud driven so let's have a look this is let's start here actually on sunday this is a marine
00:32wind warning with that onshore flow and then by monday it dissipates and it really calms
00:36tuesday here we're going to start looking at the fire risk you can see a lot of the interior regions
00:42of queensland and even some in northern territory and then for wednesday again this further intensifies
00:46we have a high fire risk and if we also go up here the darwin region is of a extreme
00:54fire danger rating
00:55that day as well now looking at the forecasts really what i'm just seeing um contributing to this
01:00is prolonged days of uh warm weather not a lot of overnight reprieve but nothing too dissimilar for
01:08what we'd see in these regions but with that low pressure trough i'm potentially seeing that maybe
01:12some forecasts might see that there's a chance of thunder or lightning in the region i'm not seeing
01:17that across many forecasts so you know low chance there but i could definitely see here if there was a
01:22spark to be initiated that the conditions are relatively conducive to that spreading so i
01:25think that's really where that um high fire danger rating is coming from let's start having a look now
01:30at the forecasts this is our daily rainfall accumulation and i'll zoom into our regions here
01:35um and really we'll click we'll flick through this quite quickly because there's just not a lot
01:39of rain on the way okay so this is monday um nothing much here tuesday again nothing wednesday thursday
01:48friday saturday sunday okay so really not a lot happening i do see some sprinkles up here in the
01:55north end just some daily light showers um but totaling you know nothing above two mils sort of
02:00thing that i'm seeing on the way this week um looking here at wind gusts there's some strong wind
02:05gusts in the interior of the northern territory this is thursday um but it stays relatively consistent
02:10throughout the week i'm not seeing major swings throughout the days um so kind of yeah what you're
02:14experiencing throughout the week is relatively predictable and i'm seeing that um also translate
02:19to some fairly decent spray conditions across the week as well so a good chance if you need to do
02:24any
02:24spraying or irrigation it's um yeah relatively decent conditions for that looking on wednesday
02:29which is when um darwin gets its extreme fire danger rating i just thought we'd have a look at the
02:34temperature fields this is for 4 pm actually i'll zoom back to 2 pm which is when we should get
02:38some of these strong temperatures so darwin up in the 35 to 40 degrees the forecasts that i'm seeing are
02:43definitely towards that 35 and definitely not the 40 um and then it's relatively consistent like even
02:49looking in the sort of southeast queensland region it's sort of that consistent mid-20s every day this
02:54week and it doesn't drop into any fog or frost um really that i'm seeing in the forecast across the
02:59week either so yeah calm stable what you kind of see is what you get for the whole week okay
03:05so let's
03:05wrap up this is the rainfall accumulations it is a dry week ahead there are warm temperatures for most of
03:11the week and relatively good spraying conditions there as well okay do stay safe have a great week and we'll
03:17see you next time
03:17you
