00:03Hello, it is the 25th of October and this is WA's weather forecast for the week ahead.
00:08There is some mid-week rain on the way and then a front moving through next weekend that's going
00:13to be delivering a few falls but nothing major, nothing severe like the weather that we're seeing
00:18currently in the east coast. That being said, let's look at the current warnings. We have some marine
00:22wind warnings across much of the west central coast and then also the southwest coast regions
00:27as well. These might continue into tomorrow and then they'll pick up again later next week,
00:32sort of in the weekend, as that front moves through. There's also likely to be some more
00:37severe wind as a little cutoff low pops its head up but we'll look at that day by day. So
00:42here we go,
00:42this is Sunday, largely dry across WA. Into Monday we have some rain, five to ten mils possible but
00:47two to five if you're in the very southern regions and then a little bit of a shower in the
00:51central
00:52area. All right, Tuesday, similar blob here. This is the cutoff low that I was talking about. You can see
00:56the rain band associated if you're ahead of that but for most of WA not receiving much falls from
01:01that system. Until Wednesday, Wednesday you can get a possible 15 to 25 mils here but more likely
01:08between the 2 and 15 mil range across this little band. So that's that midweek rain. Here we can see
01:14it popping off down the south in the Nullarbor region. 15 to 25 mils possible there but dry across
01:19most of the rest of the state unless you're in the top end then we have showers between 1 and
01:235 mils.
01:24Friday again showers up in the north here. You can see this front developing ready to approach in the
01:29weekend. The timing on that might be a little bit off on this forecast but we do know that there's
01:32that front approaching and then in our models at least it's showing or the combination of models
01:36the most likely scenario that we're seeing is that it will arrive on Saturday. So we're seeing anywhere
01:41between 2 and 10 mils if you're in the south west or in the northeast of the state and then
01:47Sunday
01:47similar conditions there as well. Let's have a look at the the wind associated with these systems. So
01:53let's go to Wednesday where we have that little cutoff down here in the Bight. You can see some
01:58strong winds associated there 63 to 90 kilometer hour gusts and then if we zoom ahead to it will go
02:04Saturday when that front is moving through gusty again in the coastal regions and then also
02:09you know moderate moderate to strong winds 30 to 40 kilometer hour gusts across most of the state. So
02:16might change spray conditions for you there. However, most of the state is relatively dry
02:21so hopefully some good opportunities for harvesting any cereals or grains if that's part of your
02:27uh yeah part of your farm activities this week. Okay, that's it. Have a great week.
02:33Please do be safe and we'll see you next time. Bye.
