00:02It is Sunday the 25th of October and this is Victoria's weather update for the week ahead.
00:06It is very wet this Sunday. It does dry out as the week goes on for another rain bout towards
00:12the end of next week. Nothing like what we're seeing today so let's have a look. This is Sunday's
00:17rainfall. As you can see large areas of Victoria receiving 25 to 50 millimeters of rain. That is a
00:21lot of rain on the way. Not a lot of wind associated behind it. There is a marine wind
00:26warning down here in the south with gusts of 40 to 63 kilometers an hour but not much is coming
00:30into
00:30the actual land areas of the state. As for other current weather warnings up in the northeastern
00:36ranges here we have a severe weather warning for potential damaging winds and rain so that's what's
00:41being issued today. This should back off tomorrow as that rain system moves through. This pink around
00:45here is a chic graziers warning that could be issued into tomorrow as well as the morning conditions are
00:50quite cold and there might be still a bit of rain around but it should ease as the week goes
00:53on.
00:53All right let's have a look into the daily rainfall now starting here on Monday as we can see most
00:58of
00:58that rain has moved off. There's still a shower left behind it anywhere between one and five mils
01:02down in the state south or along these eastern ranges here. Into Tuesday now similar set of
01:08circumstances. There's a high starting to move over into the bite bringing some of those dry and more
01:12settled conditions. Wednesday still similar again. As for Thursday, Thursday that high pressure is now over.
01:18Friday this is the next rain system on the way here which arrives in most of Victoria there
01:23on Saturday. Anywhere between one and ten mils will be available in that system. Possibly ten to fifteen if
01:29you're down in this Gippsland pocket here. And for Sunday a little bit lighter two to five mils across
01:33most of the state. So as for temperature it's cooler at the start of the week as we have I
01:40suppose pockets
01:41of cooler air left over and we still have a bit of that drizzly rain around as from the Thursday
01:46onwards
01:46it starts to warm back up into the low twenties. With this Saturday and Sunday system there is a
01:51possibility of storms but the chance is much lower than what we saw this week and this Sunday with
01:56the storm action there as well. So definitely more rain on the way for next weekend but not as severe
02:01as this weekend. So the sheep graze warnings aren't going to likely be issued again there.
02:06Alright so that is it for Victoria. Just to show you that across the next week most of the state
02:11will be
02:11receiving anywhere between 25 and 75 mils. So a very very wet week this spring time. Do stay safe,
02:18have a great week and we'll see you next time. Bye!
