00:03Hello, it is the 31st of August and this is Tasmania's weather update for the week ahead,
00:06the first week of spring. All right, we have current marine wind warnings down in the south
00:11of the state that amplify Tuesday as the first of several rolling fronts move through the state.
00:17Let's start having a look at this. This is rain today on Monday. It amplifies on Tuesday as the
00:21first front arrives. It then decreases intensity for Wednesday to then again amplify Thursday,
00:26which is the second front, drops back on Friday and then Saturday looks to be the biggest of the
00:31fronts and the wind speed follows that same pattern. So very strong winds on Tuesday, Thursday and then
00:38we'll move ahead just to Saturday just to show you that this is an incredibly strong windy system
00:44moving through. So some areas seeing 63 to 90 kilometer hour gusts. Okay, this is our temperature
00:50for Tuesday which is the warmest day of the week and we'll see some unseasonably warm temperatures
00:54reaching the state. Especially down in the Hobart area we're seeing 15 to 20 degrees and up along
00:58the east coast as well. Moving now into the forecast we're looking at Orford this week. This is the
01:04Tuesday high of 16 degrees, very little rain and as you can see those fronts might come through with
01:08some pretty strong winds here on Tuesday but very little rain is coming with those fronts at least
01:13that is to the east coast of the island as is quite common. All right, this is Thursday's wind warnings
01:19you can see very strong and then Saturdays as well, very strong and intense and that's the most rain that
01:24we'll be seeing in the east of the state, two millimeters for Orford there. All right, that is the
01:29forecast this week, multiple rolling fronts so we've got Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for Tassie. Most of the
01:35rain concentrated in the state's west seeing between 100 and 150 mils available on that west coast. Please do be
01:43safe, those strong winds are coming and yeah have a great week, we'll see you next time.
