00:03Hello WA, it is Sunday the 13th of September and this is your weather forecast for the week ahead.
00:07This is the current weather conditions. As you can see we have a low pressure trough
00:11up into the central interior but the rest of the state is dominated by a high. Now this
00:16trough is going to contribute to quite significant weather this week. Lots of chances of thunderstorms
00:21and rain into a lot of those central districts. So let's get into it. First off we'll have a look
00:26weather warnings. So there's currently a marine wind warning as a weak front moves through the south
00:31later this Sunday and then it sort of goes away by Monday as it's moved across. Tuesday we can start
00:37to have a look at the fire risk or the fire danger ratings and as you can see there's a
00:42high fire
00:43danger rating in the central area and up here in the north and that intensifies on Wednesday. Now
00:49you're likely to see high fire danger across the week because of that low trough. There's a lot of
00:55heat moving into the region so there's quite warm air available for convection which means that
01:01there's lots of likely thunderstorms and so that's just yeah some key ingredients I suppose for fire
01:06danger. So that's where those high risk danger warnings are coming from. Okay let's have a look
01:11at these systems now. So there is a trough here in the interior. Now you can't see the signature of
01:18it
01:18on Sunday but it starts to really develop here on Monday and it's going to bring sort of one to
01:23maybe
01:2310 mils at most in this region and you're just going to see as we flick through the days it's
01:27going to come in and out of different spaces. Okay so let's move to Tuesday. Here we can see it
01:33moves slightly more westward and intensifies a little bit. This is where that fire danger
01:38intensified across the here these central regions there on Tuesday and as you can see we're under this
01:42sort of easterly flow of the high so there's a lot of warm winds coming into the region and we're
01:50also dominated by this surface high pressure so you know just more moisture building up sorry not
01:55moisture more heat building up there. Wednesday it continues and Thursday now Thursday is where this
02:01trough starts to die off and then we start to get the next front system moving through down in the
02:06south where it will deliver most of its rainfall here on Friday. Now some regions are going to experience
02:11sort of this 15 to 25 but for most areas you're going to see anywhere between 2 and 10 mils
02:15delivered on
02:16that Friday. By Saturday it starts to move across and then Sunday we're under the influence of another
02:23high ridging system. So that's that's the weather for the week here so we've got that intense interior
02:30which is likely to see lightning and thunderstorms increasing fire danger. By Thursday Friday that sort
02:35of clears out and then that front moves through. So this is the wind fields I'm just showing you on
02:40Thursday because on Thursday it's quite warm and we have this front moving through. Now this front
02:46is relatively weak there's not super strong winds that I'm seeing in the forecasts even over the
02:51ocean not a gust of 20 to 30 kilometers an hour so by the time they get on land they'll
02:56drop a little
02:56bit. So yeah not super strong winds but we are getting this flow from the interior which is leading
03:01to these very warm temperatures here on Thursday. So up in Broome it's like 34 degrees I think is
03:08Broome's forecast for Thursday but 35 to 40 across this region and then this 30 to 35 comes all the
03:16way down into the southern region so quite warm there on Thursday as well. Okay so that's it for WA

03:24can see most of the rainfall is attributed to this low pressure trough with thunder and lightning attached
