The CJP (Cockroach Janata Party) held a Tiranga march at Connaught Place in Delhi amid heavy security deployment. The march drew attention as participants took to the streets carrying the Indian national flag, with security personnel deployed across the area.

The CJP flag march comes amid political tensions and the group’s calls for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation over alleged voter-list irregularities. The protest has also brought renewed attention to the group’s campaign and its demands.

00:00The national capital of India, New Delhi, has become a fortress, quite literally.
00:04And this is because of the call given for Tiranga March by the Kaukera Janta Party.
00:10But before that, the police have put up posters like this.
00:13This is the central park inside where Abhijit Dipke and his team wanted to show solidarity with their arrested, detained
00:21colleagues, Swarov Das and Ranka.
00:24But this call has, as of now, been faced with a severe, severe, I would say, high-handed approach from
00:33the Delhi police.
00:33They have not allowed the CJP to embark on their protest, which was supposed to start at 5 o'clock.
00:39Posters like this and many more.
00:42This whole area is out of bounds for the common public for two days.
00:45And legal action will be taken against them if they choose to enter these premises.
00:50Look at this.
00:51There is a public notice also posted here.
00:53It is hereby informed that the central park cannot place, shall remain closed for general public on 16th October 26th
00:59and 17th October due to administrative reasons.
01:02They are not mentioning it in as many words that it is because of the CJP protest call that was
01:09given.
01:09But the visuals are palpable.
01:12Look at the participants here.
01:14Some of them have obviously come here to show the world that despite Abhijit Dipke not being able to come
01:22here,
01:23you will see protesters here also coming and expressing their views.
01:28Because media presence, police presence, everything is palpable here in the centre of Delhi and 16th of October, which is
01:35today, is going to definitely be counted as one of the red-letter days as far as the history of
01:42independent India is concerned.
01:43Because a protest call has been shown a thumbs down by the system, by the government, by Delhi police.
01:53So, right at the boundary of the central park, which is prohibited, we met with one of the protesters, I
02:01would say,
02:01carrying the national flag.
02:03That was the call.
02:04What is your name?
02:05What makes you come here?
02:06Hi, I am Shivam.
02:07So, I have graduated from one of the IITs and I have come here today to express that unfolding the
02:15flag, which is our national flag, is our pride and it cannot be illegal.
02:20You cannot detain someone for holding the flag and I am here standing in solidarity with Saurav and Ashutosh.
02:27When you say you are from IIT, does that mean something additional to what other people are trying to achieve
02:33here?
02:34Yes, so that also says, see, a lot of people who have come from very educated background are here, who
02:40know the law, who know how economics work, who are understanding that something is wrong with our country.
02:46So, they are here to protest and maybe take our country in a better direction.
02:51So, that's the only thing that I am trying to make a point.
02:53I am not trying to maybe, you know, say an additional advantage on top.
02:57But I am saying a lot of educated class of our society is here in Delhi today and are protesting
03:02against the government.
03:03And their illegal detentions.
03:05Many voices are also saying that it is very unfortunate on, you know, part of the Indian government and Delhi
03:11police especially not to allow such peaceful protest.
03:15What was the risk that they were fearing, first of all?
03:18And secondly, how convinced are you that nothing unto what will happen?
03:22So, I think it is the responsibility of Delhi police to make sure that, you know, nothing like any sorts
03:30of dunga does not happen, right?
03:31And I don't think they are here to protect or maybe stop this kind of, you know, thing.
03:38I think they are here to stop the protestors to come out in large numbers.
03:42Because this gives a message out there.
03:44This gives a message to the rest of the country that...
03:53We will move to other side.
03:58Okay, okay.
03:59Where is the road for the rest of the country?
04:00No, the road for the footpath.
04:03The footpath is also a road.
04:04Yes, the road for the police.
04:06The government has given the road for the police.
04:07Yes, the road for the police.
04:08You are trying to say something.
04:12We can go that side.
04:13So, basically this area is supposed to be free of the protestors, which is very close to the protest site.
04:23Now we have to cross this road and go that side.
04:25We continue from where we left.
04:27We were asked to leave that place, which is very close to the Central Park.
04:30And now we have come on to this side of the road.
04:31You were saying something earlier that the role of Delhi police is responsible to Delhi police to prevent any sort
04:39of untoward.
04:39What happened?
04:40Yeah, so I don't think they are here to really, you know, maybe just safeguard and public safety.
04:46They care about that much because we have seen peaceful protestors like you and me.
04:50And media people were detained who were just interviewing one person, just standing on the road.
04:54So I think their goal is to stop the outrage or maybe stop this news from getting out and for
05:00the rest of the country to know.
05:02Okay.
05:02And I want to use this maybe, you know, this platform that we are talking.
05:06I want to make one more remark that not many people are talking about right now in the media.
05:11Okay.
05:12So as we know, we are protesting against Gyanish Kumar who is involved in SIR and a lot of things
05:18going on around that.
05:19Right.
05:19I want to, I want to tell everybody who is listening here that Gyanish Kumar was leading the committee that
05:25formed the Ram Mandir Trust.
05:28Right.
05:29Where all the irregularities happened.
05:31So a lot of chandachori has happened.
05:33So Gyanish Kumar was leading.
05:34He was the leading bureaucrat who formed that trust.
05:37So it just proves that there are too many things going wrong with this guy and this guy should be
05:43sacked and he should resign immediately and he should be prosecuted.
05:46I will not accept whatever just Cockroach Janta Party is saying.
05:49I am not just a supporter of Cockroach Janta Party.
05:51I am saying that he should be prosecuted.
05:54He has committed a treason, not just against a particular, I would say people, not just elections, but across the
06:01country in multiple domains.
06:03And it should be thoroughly maybe examined like what all the roles he has played in the government in the
06:08past.
06:08He has committed a fraud with the Ram Mandir Trust as well potentially and he should be investigated for that.
06:14And he should be prosecuted for that crime against Hindus.
06:18There is a lot of anger, palpable anger in the youth against Gyanish Kumar.
06:23It is not just about one person.
06:25The systemic rot that the youth are talking about is something which is unfortunately very quickly becoming synonymous to the
06:33rot in the system as well.
06:35And so long as that is not plugged, protests like these and youth turning out in the heart of Delhi
06:42in such numbers won't be stopping so soon.
06:46We are at Palika Bazaar, one of the busiest markets here in Connaught Place, the central part of New Delhi.
06:54This place otherwise also is very crowded.
06:56But today on 16th of October, the crowd has gathered here for a mission, on a mission where they are
07:02protesting against the chief election commissioner, Gyanish Kumar.
07:07That's first reason.
07:08And secondly, they are also gathered here to show solidarity to the fact that they are free countrymen and they
07:17have all the right to unfurl the national flag wherever they want.
07:21And they chose the national capital.
07:23You will see a life size national flag unfurling here in the middle of the Central Park.
07:31But unfortunately, right below that are thousands and thousands of protesters dotted with police personnel also and media personnel who
07:40are being stopped to carry on with their Teranga March,
07:46which the call was given by Abhijit Dipke, the founder of Kaukrat Janta Party.
07:53We have seen the CJP protests in the month of July as well, June, July as well.
07:58Then we had a huge uproar on 10th of October also and now 16th of October, barely six days later.
08:05And we have once again these posters out which says, Gyanish Kumar ko barkhast karo.
08:10It says that Gyanish Kumar should be removed from the election commission and vote chor gatti chhod is the mantra
08:19that these protesters are sticking to.
08:21Visuals like these have become quite normal on Delhi streets, especially after the CJP protest that removed former education minister
08:33Dharamendra Pradhan.
08:34And now with such protest calls being given every day, Delhi police are on their toes to stop the protesters
08:44and try to maintain what they call peace and harmony in the city, in the national capital of India, New
08:54Delhi.
08:57Scenes which need no introduction here and drones are also keeping an eye on the movement of the protesters here.
09:08You would see a lot of a lot of activity is being monitored by these aerial drones.
09:15Obviously, they are keeping an eye looking at two of them, multiple sightings here, you'll see game of drones is
09:24what appears to be playing out here.
09:27And now with such acrimony on the streets of national capital, it remains to be seen whether it dies down
09:36here because Abhijit Dipke has signed that he won't be coming to this protest.
09:40But what remains to be seen whether these thousands of protesters go back home tonight only to come back next
09:48day.
