On September 29th, a man threatened to kill me while I was livestreaming along the Blackstone River in Rhode Island. He repeatedly told me to turn off my camera and threatened to kill me and throw me into the water.

I recently learned that just 55 days earlier, 28-year-old Efrain Espinosa’s body had been found dead in the river on the exact same path.

There is no confirmed connection between these incidents. But knowing what this man said to me, I can't help wondering what might have happened if I hadn’t escaped away in time.

I've reported the encounter to police. They responded that they have “forwarded to their Detectives for review”. The entire incident was captured on livestream. My YouTube is linked in bio if you haven’t seen it.

If you live in Rhode Island, recognize this man, or have any information about this incident, please contact the Cumberland Police Department immediately. I pray nobody else has to experience what I did, or something worse. Rest in peace Efrain A. Espinosa. My condolences and prayers to the family.

00:00I may have escaped a serial killer.
00:02On September 9th, I was live streaming on the Blackstone River pathway in Rhode Island
00:06when I ran into a man that threatened to take my life.
00:09He told me my ass was canal water and that he was going to throw me in the canal
00:13to turn my camera off and that I was already dead.
00:15He was going to kill me.
00:17I was already going to leave this in the past and put it behind me
00:19until this was brought to my attention.
00:21People on Reddit have been talking about how someone was found dead
00:24in this exact same canal less than two months prior.
00:2728-year-old man, Efrain Espanoso, was found dead in the Blackstone River
00:31in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
00:33He was reported missing on August 1st and his body was recovered on August 5th.
00:37This is the exact same river, same path, only a few miles from where the man threatened to kill me.
00:42Think about that for a second.
00:43I was standing alongside the same river where another man had been found dead
00:47in the river 55 days earlier listening to someone tell me
00:51they were going to kill me and throw me in the water.
00:54Now, I want to be clear.
00:55I have absolutely no evidence that this man had anything to do with Efrain's death.
00:59Police said they don't even suspect foul play in that case,
01:02so I don't want to make accusations.
01:03I can't prove.
01:04But I also can't ignore what happened to me.
01:07I know what that man said.
01:08I know how many times he asked me to turn my camera off.
01:11I know how many times he said he was going to kill me and throw me in the canal.
01:13And I have been scared every day since.
01:16If I hadn't been live streaming or hadn't fled him at full speed,
01:20I don't know what would have happened to me.
01:22I left Rhode Island that day, and after learning what happened,
01:25I have never been more appreciative to be alive.
01:27I had already filed a police report after the first incident,
01:30but will be giving as much information as I can to the authorities.
01:33If you are in Northeast Rhode Island,
01:35I beg you to be safe and stay away from this river if you can.
01:39And if you have any information about the case,
01:41I ask you to report it to the authorities immediately.
01:44This is the first video I've made not laying down
01:46because of how severe this is and the fact that I am truly scared still.
01:49Lastly, rest in peace to Efrain Espinosa.
01:52Whether the case was related or not,
01:55nobody deserves to die that young.
