00:00You know people miss me when I go to 7-Eleven and they say we've missed you.
00:04I mean it's the $2 coffees, I go there every week.
00:07And order a jumbo weak skinny cappuccino extra.
00:11Hold the coffee thanks, just make it more milk.
00:14Good evening.
00:15Every evening in Australia.
00:17I know that voice.
00:18Uh oh.
00:19Your favourite?
00:19TV reaches over 12 million of us.
00:22Oh.
00:22That's incredible.
00:24Is it?
00:24Big claps for everyone.
00:25But have you ever wondered what other people are watching?
00:28Huh?
00:29What?
00:29Oh my god.
00:31Find out what people thought about what was on in the last 7 days.
00:34That can't be it.
00:36Alright, honest opinion.
00:37That's awful.
00:38That is amazing.
00:39It's one hot mess.
00:41This week we sussed out the star-studded premiere of...
00:44Dude it's traitors, it's traitors.
00:46This is the UK where they have actual celebrities.
00:48Are we gonna know any of them, you reckon?
00:49I mean I don't know who she is.
00:51Oh that guy.
00:51That's what's his name?
00:53Um, oh that's the little kid from Game of Thrones.
00:56Joffrey.
00:56Checked in with a doco series seven decades in the making.
00:59Seven up!
01:01Oh Mac, remember this?
01:02It's the OG reality show.
01:05Oh it's Neil.
01:06Jackie.
01:07You're crying already, it hasn't started.
01:09You're crying already.
01:10Don't cry yet.
01:111964, you were 20.
01:12And flicked over to an animated series that's been on nearly as long.
01:16Do I hear South Park?
01:18Oh South America.
01:19Have they changed the name?
01:20You can't put this on television.
01:22You cannot.
01:23He killed Gettys!
01:29In Sydney, Jad's put too much chilli in his dinner.
01:33The guy's put that much chilli in your soup.
01:35I can't.
01:36He can't even drink it anymore.
01:39Oh.
01:40Oh.
01:40What is it?
01:41Oh my god.
01:42What is it?
01:43Oh my goodness.
01:44Oh my god.
01:46Tuesday on Disney Plus, we tuned into a new animal doco.
01:50Earth's Wild Home.
01:51Oh I love a good animal doco.
01:53Well you're going to love this one.
01:55All about African animals.
01:57I have elephants.
01:58Me too.
01:59And that one.
02:00Alright.
02:01And that one.
02:02And that one.
02:03And that one.
02:03Wow.
02:05Slow down.
02:06Olive down.
02:07Cool.
02:07Well, let's head to Kenya to see a very special animal.
02:10What animals?
02:11What is it?
02:11A barbell fish.
02:12Oh.
02:14Oh.
02:14Boring.
02:15Well hang on.
02:16There isn't much food for these fish, so they rely on...
02:19Hippo!
02:20Yes!
02:20The H-I-P-P-O hippopotamus
02:24took one look and tried to swallow us.
02:27Anyway, the hippos visit the river to get a good cleaning from the barbell fish.
02:31and the fish get a free lunch.
02:33What?
02:34What?
02:34How?
02:35Their mouths ideal for scrubbing dead hippo skin.
02:39Yuck.
02:39Yuck!
02:40What a meal!
02:41Look how many fish are there.
02:42It's like a hippo spa!
02:44But there are other treatments on the menu.
02:46Oh!
02:47The dental hygiene package.
02:50What?
02:50What?
02:51Now he's at the dentist.
02:52A good fish flossing.
02:54Oh!
02:55The fish are cleaning the hippo's teeth.
02:57They're going to the dentist for free!
02:59Jealous?
02:59Well, it's not totally free.
03:01Time to give the fish a tip.
03:03What's the tip?
03:04It's this.
03:05Oh!
03:06Yucky!
03:07Aqua turd!
03:08In this pool, it's not against the rules.
03:11Oh!
03:12No!
03:13Fishes!
03:14Do this in the pool.
03:16That's yucky!
03:17Yeah, it is pretty gross.
03:18So let's check out another animal.
03:20Where are we off to next?
03:21To a damp woodland in South Africa.
03:23Why?
03:24To see this.
03:26What is that?
03:27A black rain frog.
03:29Ooh!
03:30It doesn't look happy.
03:32That's because he's lonely and looking for love.
03:35Wow!
03:35When you look like that, sweetie, you'll be looking for a while.
03:38Holly!
03:38Holly!
03:39That's nasty!
03:39Holly!
03:40That's nasty!
03:41Shaw's got a great heart, just an ugly exterior.
03:44And to find a single lady, he needs to sing his heart out.
03:48Ooh!
03:49Ooh!
03:50Ooh!
03:51Ooh!
03:51Okay, shut up!
03:52Well, his singing has worked on this lady frog.
03:56Ooh, mamacita.
03:57He wasn't expecting her to be so substantial.
04:02Oh, wow!
04:03She's double his size.
04:04He's just a little boy.
04:05Don't blow it.
04:07This is your moment, bro.
04:08Don't screw it up.
04:08You got this, bud.
04:18Did she just pop him?
04:20He blew it.
04:23Is that him crying?
04:24Being touched for the very first time was just a bit too much.
04:30Oh, no, you poor thing.
04:32It's all right, mate.
04:32It happens.
04:33We'll be in there, buddy.
04:34Yeah.
04:36Yeah.
04:37Well, maybe there'll be happier endings for the turtles on this island.
04:41I love turtles.
04:42Yeah.
04:43And this green turtle is happy to see land because...
04:46She's been at sea for 30 years.
04:4830 years?
04:50Oh, my.
04:50Yep.
04:51And now she's got to lay 100 eggs.
04:53Oh!
04:54Oh, my God.
04:54Bush!
04:55Bush!
04:56And get back to the ocean before the sun rises.
04:58Why?
04:59She's going to bake in the sun.
05:00Uh-oh.
05:01And there's one more problem.
05:02Oh, no.
05:03What?
05:03The tide has gone out.
05:04Oh, no.
05:05There is no way she's getting over those rocks.
05:08She's already exhausted.
05:10Oh, no.
05:13Why is it always a female?
05:15You come, you have a great time for 30 seconds and off you go.
05:18And we've got to climb over rocks and cut our stomachs open.
05:21If I could change it, Lee, I would.
05:23Oh, bullshit.
05:26Oh.
05:27Come on, girl.
05:28Keep pushing.
05:31Oh, no.
05:33She's trapped.
05:34Oh.
05:35Oh, no.
05:36It's awful.
05:39Why can't the cameraman just go and pick her up and put her in the water?
05:43Help her.
05:44Step up.
05:47Oh.
05:48Humans.
05:49Are we doing something good?
05:51The beach is patrolled by local conservationists.
05:54Humans are going to help her.
05:55Oh, yes.
05:56That's it, baby.
05:58Oh, no way.
05:58One.
05:59Final.
06:00Push.
06:01Yes.
06:01Oh, my gosh.
06:04Could they not have actually moved her into the water?
06:07Not a participation award.
06:09Just get her in the ocean.
06:12Yes.
06:13Oh, look at her go.
06:15Yes.
06:18That was fantastic.
06:20No one died.
06:21That's a plus.
06:22That was great.
06:23Happy ending.
06:24Except for the ugly frog thing.
06:36In Sydney, Vestie's just returned from her honeymoon.
06:39The first day, when you guys left, after the gate crashing, I actually cried, like, quite a bit.
06:46Is that funny?
06:46Like, you cry on your honeymoon because your family left?
06:51Wednesday night on 9, there was sizzling.
06:54Ooh, Jad, cooking stuff.
06:55And sautéing.
06:56I love a cooking shawl.
06:58And...
06:59a boat.
07:00Oh, wait, what?
07:01We're on a boat?
07:02Why?
07:02What better place to put two of Australia's best chefs...
07:05Peter Hellyer!
07:06To the ultimate cooking test.
07:08What is in this show?
07:09Oh, no, it is.
07:10This is Chefs Ahoy.
07:13Chefs Ahoy!
07:14And this new competition cooking show is set on a cruise ship.
07:17The largest vessel in the Princess Cruises fleet.
07:20Oh, right, we're a sponsored Princess Cruises ad.
07:22Your words, not mine, but I completely agree.
07:24Anyway, in this show...
07:25We're going to ask our chefs to create a recipe based on their experiences in port.
07:29We'd be wasted on us fine dining.
07:31Exactly.
07:31We're happy with the bread rolls.
07:33And here's the first chef.
07:34Mark LeBroy.
07:35I know, Mark.
07:36He was three blue ducks.
07:37Mark's a man who loves hunting wild game, fishing remote rivers.
07:41Well, I don't think he can go fishing off the side of the cruise ship.
07:44And he's competing against...
07:46Karn Ong!
07:47Oh, I love Karn!
07:49The gayest of the gays.
07:50One of the country's biggest food communities online.
07:53Hello, Karn.
07:54He's my friend.
07:54This is like when you said Gordon was your friend.
07:57He didn't respond to you.
07:58Welcome.
07:59Thank you.
08:00The hell you look a bit younger.
08:01Maybe a bit of a nip and tuck.
08:02Oh, yeah.
08:03It's Gary.
08:03We'll get off the amazing city of Barcelona.
08:06Barcelona.
08:06Barcelona.
08:07Barcelona.
08:08Please don't.
08:09That's a word when you hear it, you've got to repeat it.
08:11You'll be inspired and you'll serve that to over 4,500 guests.
08:164,500?
08:17That's a lot.
08:18You know who would be very good at this?
08:19The Lebanese wedding cook.
08:22Mark and Karn have hit the streets and laneways of Barcelona.
08:25They're getting inspiration.
08:26Creative juices flowing.
08:27To find the magic ingredient for their Captain's Dinner recipe.
08:30When I go to Spain, I like their like miniature sandwiches.
08:34You always flex on travel.
08:35What?
08:36Because I said mini sandwiches.
08:37When I went to Spain.
08:38I had this clam and jamon dish.
08:40Oh, I love clams.
08:41The mixture between seafood and the cured pork was heaven.
08:45Yum.
08:46Yum.
08:47Mare Montana.
08:48Surf and turf.
08:49Reef and beef.
08:50Next, Mark's checking out...
08:51A fish that's famous in Spain.
08:53So here's your turbot.
08:54What's a turbot?
08:55Turbot is a fish.
08:57Yeah, it's beautiful.
08:58Yes to that.
08:59I'm actually really hungry.
09:00Alright, let's just get back to the boat.
09:03And get the Captain's Dinner underway.
09:05I'm doing a Spanish crispy pork belly.
09:08I love crispy pork.
09:09I love pork in my fork.
09:10And about a million other ingredients.
09:12But remember, you're cooking for cruise ship people.
09:15Bogans and old people.
09:16They're not going to appreciate how much effort is going into their meal.
09:19You wouldn't need any of this.
09:20Do they have bangers and mash?
09:22This is a perfect dish because it's got that land and sea element.
09:25Yum.
09:26Do they have a hamburger?
09:28Okay, let's see what Mark's cooking.
09:29Grilled turbot.
09:31And a tomato bevel.
09:33Ohhhh.
09:34But are there enough turbots to feed 4,000 cruise ship people?
09:37Trawl is out.
09:38Trawl is out.
09:39Well, the first guests have arrived.
09:41And the orders are up.
09:42We are on here.
09:44But we still don't know.
09:45How do you win?
09:46And who's the judge?
09:47The chef who receives the most orders will be crowned the winner.
09:50Oh, okay.
09:51That's a popularity contest.
09:52That's not a taste contest.
09:54If you ordered it, they win.
09:55It could be an absolute garbage meal.
09:57It could taste...
09:58Well, the horn has spoken.
10:00And now the pressure is on.
10:0227 fish.
10:03My first proper job was working as a waiter.
10:05I used to carry eight dessert plates at once.
10:07But you can't carry one into the dishwasher.
10:09And speaking of working your bum off.
10:11What are you asking?
10:12Wait, ooh.
10:12We should do that one day.
10:14What, bum each other?
10:15That's it everyone!
10:16Tools down!
10:17Okay, time to find out.
10:19Who won tonight's episode of Chefs Ahoy?
10:20Go Mark!
10:21I want Khan to win.
10:22Where is my captain's hat?
10:23Thank you very much.
10:24Very official.
10:25Cover up that hairline.
10:26That's why I wear my caps.
10:27The winner.
10:28Khan off!
10:30Yeah!
10:33Well done.
10:34Congratulations.
10:35What do you get for winning?
10:36Unbelievable.
10:37Oh, the winner gets a silver medal.
10:39I hope the prize comes with a drinks package.
10:41Oh.
10:41Congratulations.
10:42What's the point of this show?
10:43It makes me want to go on another cruise.
10:45That's the point of this show.
10:48I'm going to keep watching this.
10:49I thought this was cute.
10:51My two loves food.
10:52A travel.
10:53I've got something for the next cruise.
10:54What do you reckon?
10:56Oh wow.
10:56Captain.
10:57Captain.
10:57El Capitan.
10:59Wow.
11:00Cheers.
11:11How do you get a coffee stain out of a grey synthetic couch?
11:16Cold water.
11:17Mild dish soap.
11:18Work outside in.
11:19That already sounds like a lot.
11:21I'll just skip.
11:22Shut up.
11:23All right.
11:27He's obsessed with me.
11:30Do I hear South Park?
11:33South Park?
11:33Yep, South Park.
11:34Oh, South Park.
11:36Yep, South Park.
11:37I was never allowed to watch this in high school.
11:39Neither.
11:39It used to be on 8.30pm SBS.
11:42Well, now it's on Paramount Plus, but it looks a little different this year.
11:45Come on down South America, meet some friends, man.
11:48Oh, South America.
11:50Have they changed their name?
11:50Because Donald Trump loves changing everything to the America.
11:54Ah, so they're taking a piss.
11:55Oh yeah.
11:59Sweetie, what's wrong?
12:00What's his name again?
12:01Cartman.
12:02I was getting bullied at ski.
12:04Ooh.
12:06He got bullied.
12:07I know I shouldn't be laughing at that, but...
12:09What have I?
12:09They called me chubby wubby.
12:11What is this kid saying?
12:13That's what I'm trying to figure out.
12:14I don't want to be bullied anymore.
12:16Do you think, do you think maybe I could get a bicycle?
12:19After all that he wanted a bike.
12:20And not just any bike.
12:21I want this one.
12:23Oh, an e-bike.
12:24What I love about South Park is how relevant they are.
12:27You see kids on e-bikes everywhere.
12:28E-bikes have taken over the Sutherland Shire.
12:30It's what we all go around here.
12:32Hundreds of them going down the road doing monos.
12:34Eric, that's $2,000.
12:36It is so crazy how many kids own e-bikes.
12:39They could literally buy a car.
12:40You get an e-bike?
12:41Yeah, I do.
12:43Well, now Cartman has one too.
12:46Uh-oh.
12:48But Cartman's friends, Stan, Carl and Kenny, don't love that he's the only one with an e-bike.
12:53So...
12:53Why don't you guys just go down to the Chinese bike shop?
12:56They've got the Chinese bikes.
12:57Oh, no.
13:00Timu e-bikes.
13:02Welcome a shitty e-bike.
13:04Take your autograph.
13:05Oh, wow.
13:07Can he do that?
13:08You can't do that.
13:09I'm not sure you can do that.
13:10You can do that.
13:10I don't think he can.
13:11South Park can.
13:12Chinese e-bike very dependable.
13:14Only 60% chance it blow up in your garage.
13:19Only 60% chance blow up in the garage.
13:22That's usually the stuff that dad comes home with, eh?
13:24Yeah.
13:24I like bargains.
13:25I just need you to sign a waiver for your rideability.
13:28You can't put this on television.
13:30You cannot.
13:31Okay, sign here saying you will not ride a shitty e-bike in the street.
13:34Wink, wink.
13:36And sign here you are 16 years older.
13:39Wink, wink.
13:41I reckon this is pretty similar to what it actually looks like buying an e-bike.
13:44Wink, wink.
13:45After I bought my e-bike, got sent the email of how to uncap it from where I bought it
13:51from.
13:51But Cartman's not on board with his friends joining his e-bike gang.
13:54Step in.
13:57Why, because they're faster than him?
14:00Brett.
14:01I got bikes that go faster than me.
14:03What the?
14:04He's having a cry about getting a faster bike.
14:06No wonder we can't understand the kids today if they're watching this shit.
14:09Can you please just get me a speed unlocked, uncle?
14:12Oh, he wants it uncapped.
14:14Oh, he wants it uncapped.
14:15Oh, he wants it uncapped.
14:16It goes super fast.
14:17Oh, my God!
14:18Do you want me to forward you the email?
14:19And Cartman isn't the only one wheelie unhappy about the boys and their e-bikes.
14:24You know how your father feels about e-bikes.
14:27Oh, my God!
14:28Yes, I love Randy.
14:30Oh, Randy's a typical mammal.
14:32What the hell are mammals?
14:33Middle-aged men in lycra.
14:34How can they let children go 40 miles an hour in a bike lane designed for real bikers?
14:39Real bikers hate e-bikes.
14:42Hey, Roger, you want to be in our biker gang?
14:44The dads have joined the gang now, too.
14:46We need to get these kids off the streets and back inside on their phones.
14:51Back inside on their phones.
14:55Who's more dangerous, mammals or kids on e-bikes?
14:58Oh, mammals are pretty dangerous.
15:00And the dangerous mammals have tracked down who's selling the kids the e-bikes.
15:04Uh-oh.
15:04Hey, no touchy, please.
15:05Oh, what?
15:06You mean these?
15:07Oh, my God!
15:09I've turned into a proper mammoth gang.
15:11So Kenny meets with the mammal gang to make a truce.
15:14Excuse me!
15:15That's Kenny?
15:16Not all us e-bike kids are the same, you know?
15:18We just want to enjoy our bikes.
15:20At least they're socialising, I reckon.
15:22Well, not for long.
15:24Get on Google.
15:25Find out how South American biker gangs deal with each other.
15:27Get on the Google.
15:29I love that it's called South America now.
15:31So when they've Googled how do South American biker gangs deal with each other?
15:35Yep, we all know where this is going.
15:36See you tomorrow.
15:37Yeah, see you guys tomorrow.
15:39Maybe we can ride our bikes at school.
15:40Yeah!
15:44Oh!
15:45It blew up!
15:47Oh, they rigged the bike!
15:49Oh!
15:49How biker gangs do with other biker gangs?
15:52He killed Kenny!
15:53You bastard!
15:54Things like that happen in South America!
15:57South America!
15:58E-bikes are banned.
16:00I reckon the Gold Coast will be like that soon.
16:04What did we learn from that, guys?
16:05The makers of South Park hit every nail on their head all the time.
16:23People from my year are now starting to get engaged.
16:26It hurts, doesn't it?
16:26Oh, it's bad, isn't it?
16:27Wait till they start having babies.
16:28Yeah, no, we haven't had babies yet.
16:29See, my group did the accidental babies very early on.
16:32When they buy a house, I go, how?
16:33Yeah!
16:33Couldn't care about your ring or your baby.
16:35How are you affording housing in Sydney?
16:36And do you need a roommate?
16:38Yes.
16:38The Aussie version might have just finished, but...
16:41I know that house.
16:42Dude, it's traitors, it's traitors.
16:43Traitors, bro.
16:44It's traitors.
16:46Correct.
16:46On Wednesday, everyone's favourite murder mystery game show was back on 10.
16:53Oh!
16:54Celebrity Traitors UK.
16:55I love this show.
16:57This is the UK where they have actual celebrities.
16:59We gonna know any of them, you reckon?
17:00Well, I hope so.
17:01Let's start with the host.
17:03Yeah.
17:03Who she is?
17:04Who?
17:04That's the woman with the fringe.
17:06What's her name again?
17:07UK Gretel.
17:08Alright, well, who else might we know?
17:10The owl.
17:10We know that's an owl.
17:11No, out of these people.
17:13Big, big celebrities.
17:14Yeah, like...
17:15I mean, I don't know who she is.
17:16Well, what about this guy?
17:17Oh, him.
17:18Well, you watched this guy last week.
17:20Oh.
17:21But some of them are very, very famous.
17:23Okay, here's an easy one.
17:24Oh, that guy.
17:25That's what's his name?
17:26Um...
17:28If I had chosen to be a traitor, that would be like winning a jackpot.
17:32Richard E. Grant.
17:33It was just on the tip of my tongue.
17:35And how about...
17:36Oh, Gerry Hallman!
17:38Better, and...
17:39James Acaster, the comedian.
17:41Yep, and surely you know...
17:42What?
17:43You're beautiful.
17:45And finally, there's...
17:46Oh, that's the little kid from Game of Thrones.
17:48Joffrey.
17:49Oh, jeez.
17:50Alright, time to choose some traitors.
17:52Here we go.
17:53This is my favourite part.
17:54This is when she goes round a table and touches them.
17:56Not inappropriately.
17:58No, but yeah.
17:59Oh!
18:00Is that Maya Jammer?
18:01Who's she?
18:01I think that's the host of Love Island.
18:03Used to date Stormzy.
18:05Who's that?
18:05Can we just pick the next traitor, please?
18:08Oh, Richard.
18:10Dickie Grant.
18:11Oh, yeah, you'd have to have him.
18:12I have chosen my traitors.
18:14Oh.
18:15There's only two.
18:16Wait, no, there's always three.
18:17I'm very confused.
18:18Yeah, don't worry, we'll get to that.
18:20Because Richard is really keen to...
18:22Start murdering them.
18:23I cannot wait.
18:25Oh, my God!
18:27Straight out of the psych ward.
18:28Because he's such a talented actor, I reckon he's going to make a great traitor.
18:31Smart wisdom.
18:33Someone with a bit of experience.
18:35Yes.
18:35Who's actually wise.
18:37Righto.
18:38Time to put those skills to the test.
18:39What are you?
18:40Traitor.
18:42What?
18:42Did he just tell them?
18:44What's he doing?
18:46You're what?
18:46Traitor.
18:47What?
18:49Does he understand the concept of the game?
18:51Are you?
18:52Yeah.
18:53Right.
18:53Why would he just admit it?
18:54Literally in the first half an hour.
18:56It's an interesting angle.
18:57No, this could work because he could be thinking that they're thinking...
19:01Oh, God.
19:02Lani, the man's done.
19:03No thinking.
19:04He's an idiot.
19:05Hmm.
19:05Okay, well, how about we see what the other traitor, Maya Jammer, is thinking?
19:08Oh, God.
19:11You're in trouble already.
19:12Deep trouble, yeah.
19:14No one's ever played the game this way.
19:16I'm obsessed.
19:17Tomorrow night.
19:18Murder.
19:19Richard is too excited about murder.
19:21I think he actually thinks he gets to murder.
19:23Yeah.
19:24Belt bag.
19:26He's such a weirdo.
19:28Well, Richard will need to hold his horses because the celebs need to nab some prize money
19:32off this ship before this happens.
19:35You dare to open my safe and steal my gold, this boat will now explode.
19:38in 90 seconds.
19:39Oh, my God.
19:40Exploded with all the celebs on there.
19:41Gee, the challenges are so dramatic, aren't they?
19:44Come on.
19:45It's gonna blow.
19:46Here it goes.
19:47Walt Disney.
19:49Slow-mo.
19:50Mum.
19:51You think they're just gonna go...
19:54Holy shit.
19:55Oh, shit.
19:56Oh.
19:57Wow.
20:00Mum.
20:01Mum.
20:02Oh, my God.
20:04Hey, can you relax?
20:05It's so dramatic.
20:06Well, there's something even more dramatic happening in the chapel.
20:10Oh, here we go.
20:12First murder night.
20:14But not just any murder night.
20:16We've got invited two faithful.
20:17One to join our traitor clan and the other to kill.
20:21Oh, so one of them's gonna be murdered and one of them's gonna be recruited.
20:24Yeah.
20:25Who are they gonna pick?
20:26This guy.
20:26Oh, James Acaster.
20:28And this guy.
20:29Oh, and him.
20:30Well, that guy's gonna die.
20:31We haven't seen him at all.
20:32It's you and me and two coffins.
20:34I mean, that's not great, is it?
20:35I'm sorry.
20:36You would not catch me dead in a coffin.
20:39Well...
20:39I would be dead in a coffin though, wouldn't I?
20:41Yep.
20:42But first, the traitors have to reveal themselves to the absolute shock of...
20:47Oh.
20:47No one.
20:49Who knew it was the guy who said he was a traitor?
20:51Oh, lordy, lordy.
20:53Who are they gonna choose?
20:55Here we go.
20:56Who's gonna close?
20:57James.
20:58They're gonna pick James.
21:00If you go to the end of this show...
21:02They're gonna go to the end of the show.
21:03We're not gonna see it.
21:03I will...
21:06Storm off this couch.
21:08I won't watch the rest of this season.
21:10I wanna know who...
21:13Oh, no!
21:14Not again!
21:15Come on!
21:16Hey!
21:17Hi, Hades!
21:19Cliffhanger!
21:21Man, are you serious, dude?
21:24Yep.
21:24That's what they're like to do to you.
21:28Man...
21:28I need a cigarette.
21:30That was so good!
21:42What do you think about the economy of the lawn?
21:46What?
21:46If houses have lawn, you have to get a mower, get garden stuff.
21:50Now they just build houses with no lawn.
21:52But if you have no lawn, you don't buy any of that stuff.
21:55So where does your money go?
21:57That's why the economy's in the toilet.
21:59Wait, is the economy in the lawn or is it in the toilet?
22:01It's in the toilet, because of no lawn.
22:03On Saturday...
22:04I'm with kids!
22:06This is actually quite fun.
22:08Maybe.
22:08For some.
22:10But yes, Tom's back.
22:11Family-friendly entertainment.
22:13To torment more kids and their expert subjects.
22:17G'day, Ryan.
22:17So why do you like dinosaurs so much?
22:19Dinos!
22:20I know heaps.
22:21The T-Rex.
22:23Pterodactyl.
22:26Plenty of kids go through a dinosaur phase.
22:29Are you worried you might grow out of it during this show?
22:32Shots fired.
22:33Well, I've been watching this show for a long time,
22:36so let's say I never get tired of dinosaurs.
22:40God, Ryan's a ripper.
22:41What would be your niche topic if you were to go on it?
22:44I don't know a lot of things.
22:46It's good to be self-aware.
22:48Let's play.
22:49Hard!
22:49Let's start with Olive and her expert subject.
22:52Ariana Grande.
22:53Wendell, you should be good at this.
22:54Why?
22:55You listen to Ariana Grande all the time.
22:57Let's see if we know any of the answers to this.
22:59I don't think we're going to know many.
23:01The music video for the hit song, Thank You, Next,
23:03begins with a recreation of which movie?
23:06Mean Girls.
23:07Olive.
23:07Mean Girls.
23:10Starring in the movie Wicked,
23:11Ariana performs popular, singing
23:13I'll show you what shoes to wear, how to fix your hair.
23:17Correct!
23:18This is a rhyming word.
23:20Come on.
23:21How many times have you watched Wicked?
23:23Four.
23:23This week.
23:24Next set of questions is for Hugo on...
23:26Ethan, you love this game.
23:28This is like the biggest game ever.
23:30I played it one time, I got shot by a 12 year old.
23:32Fortnite's most popular mode, a multiplayer combat game.
23:35Royale.
23:36Royale.
23:36Hugo.
23:37Royale.
23:38Correct!
23:39Ryan, you've got to buzz it before you answer.
23:42Time now for Mia and Doctor Who.
23:44I've never met a kid that likes Doctor Who.
23:46It's Doctor Who.
23:48Who knows anything about Doctor Who.
23:50Do you know what TARDIS stands for?
23:51Time and relative dimension in space.
23:54You're so smart.
23:56And last up is Ryan, with his expert subjects...
23:59And dinosaurs.
24:00Ryan.
24:01Ryan, you're going to have a tough upbringing.
24:03Since the 1980s, scientists have debated whether this dinosaur...
24:06A T-Rex?
24:08Tyrannosaurus Rex.
24:08Oh!
24:09I don't know how you knew that.
24:11Now you can do a T-Rex impression.
24:14Weeeeee!
24:15Well, I can also do a Donald Trump impression.
24:19Because I have such beautiful hair and you have none.
24:22Oh, my God!
24:25No more red cordial in the green room.
24:28Well, Ryan nailed his Trump impression and also got...
24:32Five from five!
24:33Wow!
24:33Five from five.
24:34He got it all.
24:34And after a few eliminations...
24:36See you, Olive.
24:37Out!
24:38Oh, no, Mia!
24:40All that remained was...
24:41Here you go, Ryan.
24:42Get over here.
24:42Battle of the boys.
24:44Dinosaurs versus Fortnite.
24:45Ryan.
24:47Most dinosaurs in the 1993 film Jurassic Park were based on scientific knowledge,
24:51but this one was purposely altered.
24:54Oh, they added this.
24:56What dinosaur is it meant to be?
24:58It's meant to be the Dilophosaurus, but they gave it a frill neck, which...
25:04With frill...
25:04Oh!
25:05Shut up, Ryan.
25:06This guy's giving a speech, not an answer.
25:09The crest's right, though.
25:10Shut up, Ryan.
25:11You got it right.
25:12Correct.
25:13I love him!
25:14Oh, God, they cut him off.
25:15Then the answer to Hugo's first question was...
25:18By surfing on the storm.
25:19Correct!
25:20Nice!
25:21And Ryan had to name a dinosaur.
25:22Which is the Fag-a-meister.
25:23The Fag-a-meister?
25:25That's what Jared used to be called in his single days.
25:27Correct!
25:28And after going back and forth...
25:30Correct!
25:30Ryan and Hugo are taking it to the wire.
25:33Hugo, you need this to stay in the game.
25:35Are they going to have a draw?
25:36You always get sent to one HP.
25:38Correct!
25:39Oh, it's a die!
25:41Geez, what do they do now?
25:42Do they get a jug itch?
25:43No, but there's only one way to break the deadlock.
25:46Oh!
25:47Tiebreaker!
25:48So what's a tiebreaker?
25:49Alright, one random question.
25:51Nearest to the pin will be the hard quiz champ.
25:53Oh, we're going to sudden death.
25:54Oh, my God!
25:57Here we go.
25:58Built in 2013 and almost the size of a tennis court,
26:01the world's largest gingerbread house was created using how many eggs?
26:05I don't know.
26:06To make a cake, you use what?
26:08Six eggs.
26:09Six eggs.
26:10I'm going to say...
26:11Six?
26:12Times.
26:13A tennis court?
26:1410,000.
26:15I'll say 9,999.
26:179,999.
26:19Oh, my God!
26:19That's what he said!
26:20The correct answer is...
26:21Come on, Hugo.
26:22I just think it would be nice for Ryan to learn to lose.
26:257,200.
26:26Hugo won!
26:28Absolutely done, dude.
26:29There we go.
26:30Oh, Ryan.
26:31Oh, I'm so upset.
26:33Good job, Hugo.
26:34Thanks for betting, Ryan.
26:35Thanks for playing.
26:36Hi!
26:36They didn't wind up with the kids one, even though they're smarter than me.
26:39I just think both of these kids could go and do a team sport, like a soccer or an Austag
26:43once a week.
26:43You know, just socialise with some other kids.
27:01Your garden outside is looking amazing!
27:04I know.
27:05We had a garden working bee the other day.
27:08Yeah, love it.
27:08Weeding, moving things around.
27:10What did you actually end up doing?
27:12I was the project manager.
27:13So nothing.
27:14Tuesday night on the ABC, we entered a world of toxic masculinity.
27:18If you're a young guy going online trying to work out how to be a man...
27:22I know this guy.
27:23Oh, it's Mark Fennell.
27:24He's done lots of docos, ABC, SBS.
27:27He's really smart.
27:28You're gonna get a lot of this.
27:30There's so many men that have just watered down versions of what a man is.
27:35and should be.
27:36Oh!
27:36This is the, uh...
27:37Manosphere.
27:38But what exactly is that?
27:40Women are surrounded by beta.
27:42They crave alpha.
27:43Oh!
27:44Oh, we're going deep into the Manosphere, aren't we?
27:46Correct.
27:47In a new three-part documentary series...
27:49The state of man.
27:51Girls, we're gonna love this.
27:52Hey!
27:52Hey!
27:53Hey!
27:53First up, Mark visits two young victims of the Manosphere who show us how it all began.
27:58We've got this hurt, confused, 16-year-old boy.
28:02Let's send him Andrew Tate.
28:04Andrew Tate!
28:06I hate this bloke.
28:07How are women allowed to drive?
28:10This is toxic masculinity at its worst.
28:12I'd see him on the road and run him over.
28:14I'd say, well, you said I couldn't drive.
28:15I was consuming so much of it.
28:18And you're also having it consolidated by thousands and thousands of comments.
28:22So I'm like, yes, this is right.
28:23As someone who saw this stuff when I was in school, I didn't think, this is cool.
28:27Like, I want to be like this.
28:28You had a good family and support system around you.
28:31Do you feel like you were radicalised?
28:33Probably without even really being aware of it, yeah.
28:36You know, that's one thing I'm grateful for is that our kids don't want social media.
28:40But also, they are very much fans of YouTube.
28:43And a lot of this stuff is fed through YouTube.
28:45You know, if you sign up for a social media platform and you indicate that you're male,
28:49within 30 minutes, you will be given Manosphere content.
28:53That's right.
28:54And Mark sets up a profile of a young man to prove exactly that.
28:58There's all this content that's, like, about getting rich.
29:02It's getting jacked.
29:04The only women you see here are ornaments.
29:06That is terrifying.
29:08It's terrifying.
29:08It's actually quite scary.
29:10Why is the algorithm suddenly giving me this when it thinks I'm a young guy?
29:14To explain, Mark meets up with former Facebook CEO Steven.
29:18Now, algorithm is a mathematical formula.
29:21You could start to understand the specific person.
29:24Do they like or share?
29:25Do they linger on something longer than something else?
29:27They can actually see your eyeballs, where your eyeballs are going.
29:31Have you ever spoken to someone about something,
29:33and then the next day there's an ad about it on your phone?
29:35It listens to you.
29:36And then they feed that into an algorithm that then decides what is the thing to show
29:40you right now.
29:41I like the algorithm, because it keeps giving me stuff that I actually want to see.
29:44Yeah, that's the idea.
29:45It's like, I know everything about you, so you'll probably like this, and the more you
29:50watch that means that you like that, so I'm going to feed you more stuff like that.
29:54Can the algorithm drive people to extreme content?
29:56Yes, extreme emotions are what keep people more engaged on the platform.
30:00The moderate voices don't grab as much attention.
30:03It's whatever is the most extreme voice grabs the most attention.
30:07I mean, it's quite revealing.
30:08If I talk to my former colleagues at Facebook, many of them will say,
30:12I don't let my kids anywhere near social media.
30:14Charles, you ever think you need to know?
30:15The people who make the product don't want their own kids using the product.
30:19I'll tell you what, my daughter won't be on social media.
30:21We've had to have conversations with the boys around this stuff,
30:24and it's scary because we can't monitor their screens 24-7.
30:28Next, Mark visits a group of blokes on a construction site.
30:31What do you follow?
30:32Like, what sort of accounts do you actually follow yourself?
30:34As controversial as he might sound...
30:36Andrew Tate.
30:37Andrew Tate's a big name.
30:38Oh!
30:39Because, yeah, I went through a very big period of depression.
30:42And Andrew Tate was your saviour?
30:44Oh, my goodness.
30:46One of the things I like he said is, um, depression's not real.
30:50Depression's not real?
30:50He said that.
30:51Depression's not real.
30:52That's very healthy for the world, isn't it?
30:54Shut down all the mental health services.
30:55We don't need them.
30:56Next, say cancer's not real.
30:58How about for you, Ace?
30:59This should be like a Men's Appreciation Day.
31:01What?
31:01Every day is frickin' Men's Appreciation Day.
31:04One by one, each industry started getting woman-dominated,
31:08woman-dominated.
31:08But now they're trying to take construction as well.
31:10What's going to be left for men?
31:12The world is designed for men.
31:14Literally.
31:15They can go and become secretaries then.
31:17Oh, but that's not manly enough.
31:19And to learn about the manosphere's impact on young girls,
31:23Mark talks to educator Danielle.
31:25It has real-world implications for how those girls
31:27and those young women feel about themselves and their safety.
31:30The boys feel that they've got permission
31:32to be incredibly sexist in class.
31:34Then I reckon it has a knock-on effect
31:35because girls think that that's the way boys should behave.
31:37Yes.
31:38And then it's just a vicious cycle.
31:39No-one's really talking about the fact that this is the culture
31:43our daughters, our girls are growing up here.
31:46The girls are the victims.
31:47Yeah, exactly.
31:48How does one actually change this, though?
31:49Is there ever actually a change?
31:51Next time.
31:52Submission is not ownership.
31:54I'm going further into the manosphere.
31:56It's a good series, Mark Fennell.
31:57I want to watch on.
31:59I just think it's going to make me too angry.
32:00100%, but I think I want to know what's going on.
32:03It's 2026 and we're still talking about men
32:06who can't respect women.
32:08We think they're better.
32:102026.
32:24My best mate buys kids shoes.
32:27I can still buy kids shoes.
32:28Wild to me.
32:29It's half the price.
32:30It's so much cheaper.
32:32I have to buy men's shoes sometimes.
32:33Oh, no!
32:34Oh, well!
32:35Tuesday on 7, our favourite celebrity duo
32:38were back in the caravan for...
32:41Off the Grid!
32:42with Colin and Manu.
32:43They're the judges from My Kitchen Rules.
32:46This is what they're doing between house visits.
32:48Exactly.
32:49What a glorious day.
32:50Look at that, mate.
32:51It's picture postcard, isn't it?
32:53Wow, look how beautiful.
32:54Where are we?
32:55Adelaide.
32:56Central Otago.
32:57This is Colin and Manu in New Zealand.
32:59Near Adelaide, Lee.
33:00Took the wrong turn.
33:01Oh, quite flat around here, isn't it?
33:03The topography.
33:04What?
33:05Topography.
33:05What does it mean?
33:06Shape of the land.
33:07The lay of the land.
33:08Everyone knows that word.
33:09I thought topography was like, typing stuff.
33:12Ha-ha-ha-ha.
33:14Yeah.
33:15Idiot.
33:16That's it.
33:18Let's stop here and get a snack.
33:19That's like us.
33:20We like going to little towns.
33:21Yes.
33:21You like getting a pasty or a sausage roll.
33:23Boy.
33:23Going to bakery.
33:24Or a pie and a cake.
33:26Got your little present.
33:27What have you got?
33:28Cup of the ice cream.
33:29Ice cream.
33:30Ice cream!
33:30Ice cream.
33:31I don't think we've ever got an ice cream.
33:32I thought it was going to be a bit bomb.
33:34A city.
33:34But why are they critiquing an ice cream?
33:37And sharing ice cream.
33:40Colin and Manu have the cutest friendship.
33:43I wonder what their wives think about it.
33:44You're such a pig.
33:46That'd be you.
33:46I would've took a bigger bite than that.
33:48Anyway, the boys are on their way to meet brewer Richard Emerson.
33:51He's actually known as the godfather of craft beer.
33:55The godfather of craft beer.
33:56I love a good beer.
33:57That's my bread and butter.
33:58Are you here for the beer?
34:00Yeah, brother.
34:00Bring on the beers.
34:01A couple of blokes drinking beers.
34:04Well, Colin and Manu have to cook first.
34:06Oh, okay.
34:08Are they going to cook on the barbecue?
34:09I'm tipping meat.
34:11I'm going to do a little venison number.
34:13Oh, hang on, what was that?
34:14Is that a venison penis?
34:16Sounds amazing.
34:17And a little sausage roll number.
34:19Sausage rolls?
34:20I think that's a bit lazy, don't you reckon?
34:22I'm not making a sausage roll.
34:23I'm making a sausage pie.
34:25I like a lasagna.
34:25A one-layer lasagna.
34:26I got some sausages that are half pork, half beef.
34:30Oh, yes, please.
34:32Liver.
34:32Oh, bullshit.
34:33Beef cheek.
34:34No.
34:34Bone marrow.
34:35Ugh.
34:35Pork neck.
34:36No.
34:37And a bit of blood pudding in there as well.
34:38Jesus.
34:39It's a nose-to-tail sausage.
34:41Ugh.
34:41One-stop sausage.
34:42Yeah, we're out.
34:43So, basically, this has already got good flavor.
34:45I've taken the meat out of the casings.
34:48Peel any sausages?
34:49Oh, that is foul.
34:50You're quite used to that.
34:51All right, enter the oven.
34:52She's hot.
34:53Well, what do you think?
34:54It's going to be cold?
34:55You're a chef.
34:55Okay, boys.
34:57Let's sink some beers.
34:58Not yet.
34:59We need to try the food first.
35:01Oh.
35:01Here you go.
35:02It's a lunch, huh?
35:03Yum.
35:04Oh, pineapple too.
35:06Merci beaucoup.
35:07I reckon that's one of our best.
35:08Oh, look at that.
35:10This is a real men's feast.
35:11It's just meat.
35:13And his flat sausage, mate.
35:14There we go, boys.
35:15Oh, my God.
35:17That is burnt.
35:18Do you want to cut some?
35:19I'm telling you now, if someone cooked that on MKR...
35:21I reckon they'll be saying, see you later.
35:23Do you know how to go well with this?
35:25Beers?
35:25Yes.
35:26Thank you.
35:27What are you pouring it in the glass for?
35:28It's beer.
35:29Took it out of a can.
35:30And after lunch, Richard invites the boys to a beer tasting at his brewery.
35:35Oh, stop it.
35:36Got to make some beers, no man?
35:38Best thing about having a caravan, you can pull right up to the pub,
35:41have a couple of beers, crash out in the back of your caravan.
35:44You haven't had a taste of my mother.
35:46Taste of my mother?
35:47I haven't been introduced to her here.
35:49She's a blonde.
35:50She's one fine mother.
35:51So far, 10 out of 10.
35:54They're drunk.
35:55They're pissed as.
35:56But perfect.
35:57Just head to the caravan, sleep it off.
35:59Correct.
36:00That does not look comfortable.
36:01And the next morning, the boys are feeling it.
36:04Oh, the boys have had a rough night.
36:06It looks hung as.
36:07So Manu's going to make a little hangover cure.
36:09Do you want an omelette or something simple?
36:11Simple?
36:12As soon as you're chopping, it's not simple anymore.
36:14Just go and buy some takeaway, mate.
36:16It's your mushrooms.
36:17Oh, saute those mushrooms, Manu.
36:18Yum.
36:19No, only time I have mushrooms and barley, they're magic.
36:22Yeah, and you thought you had been putting your hands through your eye.
36:24Obviously, the French are renowned for their omelettes.
36:27I like omelettes.
36:27Like when we go away to those hotels, you go down, you get your free breakfast, and they'll
36:31make an omelette in front of you.
36:32What's the key to a good omelette?
36:34I said I'll have some ham.
36:36I like mine quite cheesy, do you?
36:37Yeah.
36:38What else do I get on top of it?
36:40Cheesy, hummy, mushy.
36:42Oh, yeah.
36:43Tomato?
36:44Tomato.
36:44All of the above.
36:45That looks delicious.
36:46And then I go back again, hop in line.
36:48Then I go back and hop in line again.
36:49You ready?
36:50He's so happy.
36:52Colin's having the best time.
36:54I kind of remember what happened last night.
36:59Man, I'm dying for a frothy.
37:00Dude.
37:02Wait, that was cool.
37:04I like that show.
37:05No, I didn't write any of the food they cooked, but there's something about Colin and Manu
37:08that I just have to keep watching.
37:10It's because they're having the best time doing it.
37:11It doesn't matter what they're doing, they're finding the joy.
37:28In Melbourne, Keith's been moving in his sleep.
37:31Out of the bed and you're going like that, like that.
37:34What's he blessing the bed for?
37:36Oh, just thanking the bed for what we'd done last night.
37:38Shut up.
37:39Thank you.
37:40This week on HBO Max, we watched a new reality series.
37:44Double wives of suburban wives.
37:47Is this about the Shire?
37:48No.
37:49For this series, we're following a bunch of small-town Christian wives.
37:53Obviously, they're all above board, right?
37:54For the most part.
37:55For the most part.
37:56What's different about you?
37:57The secrets nobody seeks.
37:59I feel like this show's going to get weird.
38:01I'm just waiting for it.
38:02Well, let's meet our first suburban housewife, Tammy.
38:04I deeply believe in faith, family, God.
38:08Oh, that's good.
38:08So she's a churchy.
38:10I have a double life.
38:11What's this show?
38:12That's the juicy part I'm waiting for.
38:14I make adult content.
38:16Whoa.
38:17Oh, what am I?
38:19Gosh, look at that.
38:20Jesus.
38:21A lot of people know me as Erica Swings.
38:24Erica Swings!
38:26Oh, my God!
38:28Oh, she's an OF model.
38:30She on OnlyFans.
38:31Yes!
38:31Adult content creation is anything from selling pictures to selling worn clothing items.
38:38Amen.
38:39Praise the Lord.
38:40When I met Drew, I did not consider myself attractive at all.
38:43I'm so sorry.
38:44Does Drew do sex work too?
38:46I would hope not.
38:47I said, babe, you are so hot.
38:49Oh, my God.
38:49So he's the one who introduced her to me?
38:51I said, you know what?
38:52I'm going to post a picture of you online.
38:53He posted it!
38:55No face.
38:55It'd just be like your butt.
38:56I would freaking kill you.
38:58So I posted that online and it just blew up.
39:01Was that his POV, do you reckon?
39:02Yes.
39:03Anyway, that's not Tammy's biggest concern.
39:05Being a Christian and being in the adult content world.
39:09How could she sit there in church?
39:11And get naked online.
39:12They don't go together.
39:13Thank you.
39:14Appreciate it.
39:15Oh, the priest is probably the main customers.
39:17Yeah, probably in on it.
39:18Okay, let's meet one of Tammy's friends,
39:20another church-going suburban wife.
39:22My name's Brianna, but I go by Bri.
39:24Oh, no.
39:25I used to be a high school English teacher.
39:27She does it too.
39:28I feel like all of them are doing it.
39:29Yeah.
39:30I lost my teaching job and my face was everywhere.
39:32Shocking that she lost her teaching job.
39:34It wasn't my goal.
39:35Oh, I didn't know this would happen.
39:37I didn't want to get fired.
39:38Can you imagine how many of her students are subscribing?
39:41Hey, Dad, look at my teacher.
39:43I bet he turns up to parent-teacher interviews now.
39:46My subscribers went from $500,000 to $40,000 in a matter of days.
39:51I just want to know how much she's making.
39:53Tell us.
39:54I mean, within three months, we were at like $1.5 million.
39:57Oh, my God.
39:59There's so much money to make on this.
40:01Maybe I should do some, like, low-risk stuff.
40:03I reckon you'd go good.
40:05I've got to...
40:07I know.
40:08And our final suburban wife is Macy.
40:11Also known as Church Girl.
40:13Holy sh...
40:14She does it too.
40:15She does it too.
40:16It's like a community.
40:17It's like a cult.
40:19I am called Church Girl because I really do love Jesus.
40:22Huh?
40:23Huh?
40:23She loves Jesus.
40:24I thought she said cheeses.
40:26And no one in my normal life knows that I do this.
40:29Well, they do now.
40:30Pretty easy to figure it out when you just tell them on television.
40:33Whenever I'm not in disguise, I am Macy.
40:37Oh, my God.
40:39You look exactly the same.
40:41She needs to look different.
40:42Otherwise, it's not a disguise.
40:44And she's got a little side hustle with her husband.
40:47Another pimp husband.
40:48That guy bought three pairs of panties.
40:51She's got her own lingerie store.
40:53We need to mail these out.
40:54No, Dad, that's not what that means.
40:56It's mind-blowing out there how many people have different fetishes.
41:00What are your fetishes, Bob?
41:02My husband...
41:02No, no, no, no.
41:03Moving on.
41:03What makes this very difficult is that my dad is a pastor.
41:08The dad's a pastor!
41:10Oh, like a ragatoni or, like, is he a spaghetti?
41:13He has no idea that I do adult content.
41:16Is Macy about to tell her parents?
41:18Yep, and she's planning to do it at tonight's family dinner
41:21with her dad and stepmum.
41:22Oh, stepmum.
41:23So the pastor can remarry?
41:25Yes, but she's not getting her tatars outbreak.
41:27Hey, guys!
41:28How you doing?
41:29Oh, so that's her stepmum.
41:31Good to see you.
41:32And Dad and the other lady is his mum.
41:35That's right.
41:36Hang on.
41:36No, that's her mum.
41:38No, that's the stepmum.
41:40Yeah, that's the stepmum.
41:41Sorry?
41:42It is the stepmum.
41:43Yeah, that's what I said.
41:44That's the mother and the other one's the stepmother.
41:46Oh, so where's his mum?
41:47I don't freaking know.
41:49Anyway, back to dinner.
41:50Oh, and I don't know how they're going to respond.
41:52Did she break the news?
41:53Nah, she didn't.
41:54She can't say it, apparently.
41:55Kind of like nothing happened.
41:56Love you, Dad.
41:57Love you, sir.
41:57Thank you for all the kind words.
41:59Her dad's got man boobs.
42:00Thanks for that.
42:01Oh, thank you.
42:04What was the point of it if you didn't even sort it out?
42:07It'll be on the last episode.
42:08I'll make you watch it all.
42:09No, thank you.
42:10I don't care what your issue is.
42:11Amen.
42:26I joined a meeting today, and while we were waiting for others to join it, this auntie on the phone
42:31was like, oh, have we met before?
42:33I think I know you, and I said, oh, no, sorry, aunt, I don't think I know you.
42:36And then she's like, I know where I've seen you.
42:38I've seen you on Instagram.
42:39She's seen my nipples out.
42:41Absolutely.
42:43This week on SBS, we took a step back in time.
42:47In 1964, Granada Television brought together a group of seven-year-olds.
42:521964?
42:53You were 20.
42:56Their ambitions and their fears for the future.
42:59And that TV show was...
43:01Seven Up!
43:02Oh, Matt, remember this?
43:03It's the OG reality show.
43:06And since then...
43:07We have followed their lives every seven years.
43:10We're doing a longitudinal documentary.
43:12We are doing a longitudinal documentary.
43:14We are following kids every seven years.
43:16I've watched this since I was a kid.
43:19And now, the longest-running documentary in history has reached its final chapter.
43:24Seven Up!
43:25Oh, this is going to be quite sad.
43:27You're crying already.
43:28It hasn't started.
43:29You're crying already.
43:29Don't cry yet.
43:31We begin by checking in with the series' most famous participant.
43:35Oh, it's Neil.
43:36I remember him from the last one.
43:38I remember him, yeah.
43:39Who we watched transform from a bright and precocious seven-year-old...
43:42Look how innocent he is.
43:43..into a man haunted by mental illness.
43:46Oh.
43:47The change of you at 14 to 21 was staggering.
43:52Like, he grew up with a loving family.
43:54Yeah.
43:55And in a matter of years, he was homeless.
43:58Dude, this is sad.
43:59He's got a good view, though.
44:01It's basically depression.
44:02Very bad depression, which make it difficult for me to do anything constructive.
44:07Poor love.
44:08He's doing a hard, all the scars on him.
44:09Neil's had a rough life.
44:11And now, at 70 years old, Neil is here.
44:14In France, where I now live, this is a lovely bookshop where I spend half a day a week working
44:21voluntarily.
44:22Wow.
44:22He's doing better now than what he was younger.
44:24I'm probably as happy as I could be, given my life.
44:30At least he's seen the silver lining.
44:32It takes a lot of courage to share your life like this, doesn't it?
44:35But shave your head, mate.
44:36He's not letting go of it, is he?
44:38That was like you about a year ago.
44:40A year ago.
44:42Next, we check in with Jackie.
44:43I would like to get moved when I grow up.
44:46Oh, I remember Jackie.
44:47A sharp but fiery working class woman who regularly clashed with the show's producers.
44:53All right, let's get on with it.
44:54Do you think you've settled down too young?
44:56And you're asking me, I'm five months of marriage.
44:59Have I made a mistake?
45:00She's hot-headed.
45:01At least he waits till it's on bloody camera.
45:03He's making a TV show, Jackie.
45:05What do you want to know for?
45:06What business is it of yours?
45:07Jackie endured two divorces and ended up raising her kids as a single mother.
45:12This is very dark.
45:13It doesn't paint a good picture of growing up in England in the 60s.
45:16It does not.
45:17Now at 70, Jackie's living by the seaside in Norfolk.
45:21Since I've moved here, life's been easier.
45:24And Jackie even has a new partner.
45:26I call him Eddie. He prefers Eddie.
45:29Back on the apps. Ready to party.
45:31So I think I'm actually living my second childhood, really.
45:34They've all found peace at like 70 and I don't want to wait till 70 to find peace.
45:39And finally, there was Nick, who we first met on a farm in Yorkshire.
45:42I'd like to find out all about the moon and all that.
45:47He's a smart young kid.
45:48And Nick ended up as a professor of nuclear science.
45:51Wow.
45:52I mean, my ambition is to be more famous for doing science than for being in this film.
45:56But unfortunately, Michael, it's not going to happen.
45:58But seven years ago, we learned that Nick was facing serious health challenges.
46:03I have a cancer in my throat.
46:05Ah.
46:05And, you know, I don't know what's going to happen.
46:08Do you reckon he's dead now?
46:09Let me show him at 70.
46:11But yes, I think it's a surprise to my doctors that I'm still around.
46:15Wow, look.
46:16Oh, he's so skinny.
46:18Is this what ageing is?
46:19The guaranteed bleakness of existence?
46:21What happens as you get older?
46:23It's like when I catch up with some of my mates.
46:24Oh, yeah, I went to the doctor's.
46:25Yeah, I saw there.
46:27I'm getting this fixed now.
46:27And Nick concludes by reflecting on the impact the series has had.
46:31You know how you see this time-lapse photography of a flower?
46:34You know, it blossoms and then fades away and so on?
46:38Well, seeing that with a person is also amazing because we don't see that.
46:43Yeah.
46:43It's like time travel.
46:45Because you don't get to watch your parents' whole life.
46:47No.
46:47You're not around for your kids' whole life.
46:48You don't get to see this, ever.
46:50It's just a walking photo album, isn't it?
46:54Oh.
46:56Oh, no.
46:56Three days after filming, he passed away.
47:00It was like he was holding on for his final...
47:03One last film.
