00:00Yeah. Let's go. Let's go. Sounds like if I directed the actual sequel Roadhouse. Like, this is how it sounds,
00:08baby.
00:09All right, here we go. I love how we're one hour in. We already got into a big family fight.
00:13I lost my voice. Lost my voice. We got personal. My headphones came off. You can see the video. Yeah,
00:17you did.
00:18On 92.3 The Fan, social media. So, I hear that, and Kenny can attest, every break, what have I
00:24been doing?
00:25Breaking down Brownsville. Yeah, you have. Right back to it. Yeah.
00:28Okay. He's like, Ken, look, they saw this. They saw this. Kenny, look. I'm like, yeah, I get it. I
00:34know.
00:34They made adjustments. They did. They did do a good job. I did. I saw that screen. I was like,
00:39oh, boy, they saw that coming, huh?
00:40Go ahead. That's the one that Watson just grounded. He wasted it in the dirt.
00:44You're going to go first. I went first last week. This is week seven, seven in heaven.
00:48Browns getting ready to play the Titans this Sunday in Tennessee. What do you got?
00:51Yeah, number one, we're still sticking with the 5-0 Kansas City Chiefs.
00:56We haven't really talked a lot about the Chiefs, and there's been a lot of intrigue because, I mean, they
01:02just were not tested at all against the Chargers.
01:06The Raiders made a, you know, had a late score in that game. The Dolphins game was over right away.
01:11I mean, the Chiefs just. Oh, you say they haven't been, they have an easy schedule.
01:14No, no, no. Are you saying?
01:15There hasn't been as much intrigue in their actual games.
01:17Are you calling them, so you're not, so you're not calling them, like, the Miami who plays the ACC of
01:22the NFL?
01:23Okay, I'm just making sure.
01:24I've been impressed with them. No, don't get me wrong. I've been impressed with them.
01:26But either way, they've been the best team in the AFC.
01:30Oh, and does it feel like things are right in the world again?
01:33Yeah, but it's different this time because they have something that we haven't seen in Kansas City in a decade.
01:38It's called a running game.
01:40Ooh.
01:40They do.
01:41A running back that anybody could have had in the NFL.
01:44Priest Holmes walking back through that door.
01:46The Super Bowl champs could have had, and they decided not.
01:49And then, what are they, 500 Seattle right now?
01:51Oopsie-dazers.
01:51Meanwhile, number two, the Buffalo Bills.
01:55Boy, that was a fun, fun game against the Texans, right?
02:02Lima will have Buffalo number one after this weekend.
02:05They had the Raiders. You think so?
02:06You're spending too much time in Buffalo.
02:09Too much time around Bills fans.
02:12Persuaded.
02:12Like Owen said, no one circles the wagons like Anthony Lima now.
02:15He's going to have Buffalo soon, number one.
02:17He's going to switch it up.
02:18They have a bye week, and then they have the Ravens at home in Highmark Stadium, which I drove by.
02:23Now, number three.
02:25Who knows?
02:26I didn't get to go in there.
02:28My obstructed view was the actual stadium because I couldn't see inside the stadium.
02:32Number three, Jacksonville Jaguars.
02:34I'm sticking with Jacksonville, even though here comes the Houston Texans with a couple wins in a row and C
02:41.J. Stroud looking better.
02:42Number four.
02:43I'm still clinging to Baltimore.
02:46Look, had the Browns have beaten Baltimore with Lamar Jackson, that would have been an argument.
02:52Mm-hmm.
02:53But right now, I still have them atop the AFC North.
02:55Then, we go to the wild cards, lightning round, Pats, Texans, and Cleveland Browns.
03:03I still have Cleveland in there, as well they should be, with a win over Baltimore.
03:07Their defense absolutely has staying power, and I'm excited about it.
03:11And Jared Verst is eventually going to get to the quarterback.
03:14I don't think they're going to be calling all stunts for him on third and longs.
03:17I think eventually they will have him attempt to get to the quarterback.
03:20I love that you have Houston in there.
03:22It's a bold move.
03:23It reminds me of 2020 when I kept ripping on the Steelers, and I wouldn't put them in seven in
03:28heaven.
03:28And you and Kidd thought it was a bit, and I was just being difficult.
03:31And I'm going, I'm telling you, they're rotten from the inside out.
03:33And while they were one of the seven in heaven, I ended up being right.
03:39No, I kept putting them.
03:40Remember, I kept putting them as a wild card team or something like that.
03:42And then they won, and then they got the break speed off them because, what, they lost five in a
03:47row, including us.
03:48It's a great day.
03:49Yeah, Marvin Harrison Jr. had four catches in that win, that thriller over Jacksonville.
03:54One of the highest rated PFF guys ever.
03:56If anybody cared about football in Arizona, well, they'd be pretty upset.
04:00Well, they probably care about football.
04:02They just don't seem to care about the Cardinals.
04:04Okay, Kenny.
04:05Here we go.
04:06Number one, Kansas City.
04:08Number two, Buffalo.
04:09Number three, Baltimore.
04:11I still have Baltimore third.
04:13There is a Lamar Jackson factor here.
04:15Number four, Jacksonville.
04:17Big loss, though, to the Houston Texans on Sunday.
04:20Don't think.
04:21We didn't notice.
04:22Number five, New England.
04:26Back on track, possibly again.
04:28They do.
04:28They do look back on track.
04:30Number six, Cincinnati.
04:32Bye week.
04:32Not going to penalize them for not playing.
04:35Number seven, the Cleveland Bronx.
04:37And if you're paying attention and scoring at home, it is the same exact seven in heaven I had last
04:42week.
04:43Same as me.
04:44Not moving.
04:45I'm not moving.
04:45Same.
04:46I am not moving.
04:47Not budging.
04:48Are we getting stubborn?
04:49Well, yeah.
04:50There's always a stubbornness to seven in heaven.
04:52That's what makes it fun.
04:53Is that you have to double down on your beliefs because it's a prediction for the future.
04:57So you either have faith or no faith in a team, and then we argue about that faith.
05:01Yes.
05:02Who would you say is the team you're most stubborn on right now?
05:06On moving out of there and bringing someone else in?
05:12Cincinnati.
05:13Cincinnati.
05:14Yeah, they're not in mine.
05:15Okay.
05:16I have Houston.
05:17Yeah.
05:17Cincinnati has a better record.
05:18Pretty easy to figure out who you're stubborn on.
05:20Are you wondering the flimsiest you're saying?
05:23Like, the easiest?
05:24Yeah.
05:24Cincinnati.
05:25Cincinnati's the one.
05:26I'm feeling better and better about the Browns.
05:28Like, gun to your head.
05:29Who are you pulling out of there?
05:31If you, you know, they're like, hey, you got to pull one out.
05:33Cincinnati.
05:34It'd be Cincinnati.
05:34And it's not the Browns.
05:35And I know, can the homer, do you feel the same way I would about my seven in heaven again?
05:39Look at my list.
05:41Am I wrong or am I right?
05:42It'd probably feel a lot better to say that had the Browns had any sort of offense before the turnover
05:47on Sunday.
05:49Hey, I'll take.
05:49They didn't do a ton.
05:51I'll take complimentary football.
05:52The offense for the Browns is what is holding me back.
05:55That's why they're number seven for me.
05:57They're the last team in.
05:58They do have 67% playoff probability as of today.
06:02And look at the schedule.
06:04Well, it's just so weird.
06:05I mean, you have to look at that schedule.
06:06Like, I look at their schedule.
06:08And, like, Tennessee, I feel the same way I do about the Jets game.
06:12Like, there's more pressure on them to beat Tennessee than there was to beat the Ravens.
06:16There really is.
06:17Because Tennessee, they just won.
06:19So, that tends to take your guard off.
06:22Because if they were 0-6 at that point, then you're like, well, you got a desperate football team that's
06:28going to play desperately.
06:29Like, when the Jets lost three in a row, I kept saying, like, hey, they're desperate.
06:33Like, they're going to be on their P's and Q's.
06:35And then I didn't realize it was going to be a monsoon.
06:37And we're not good in rain.
06:39Deshaun Watson is a good in rain.
06:41And you committed some stupid penalties and you lost the football game.
06:44It's an NFL football game.
06:45These things happen.
06:46Like, I don't think anybody's going to be a pushover.
06:49Even the Tennessee Titans.
06:50But I think if we're going to do 7-in-heaven again and we're going to keep doing it, like,
06:55I don't want to have to come in here after losing to the Jets or losing to the Titans like
06:58we did losing to the Jets.
06:59Where Owen's like, you're not doing 7-in-heaven.
07:01And Owen and I on that Monday when Padone was in for you when you were coming back from Chicago,
07:06Owen and I were shouting at each other because I'm like, I'm doing 7-in-heaven.
07:09Playoffs are not just something that comes in willy-nilly.
07:12I can't say that they're a playoff team and then jump off of it because then it's like, why even
07:16have the conversation?
07:17My whole reasoning for it was because you said they're just not that good.
07:19You said the Browns aren't that good.
07:21You're still there?
07:22Yes.
07:23Yes, I am.
07:24I look at it.
07:25So, their diff, which is a thing that Anthony loves, right?
07:28Yeah.
07:28They're minus 16 right now.
07:31And honestly.
07:32That's a one game.
07:32Yeah, they got their asses blown out in the opener, right?
07:35Yeah, they did.
07:35Yes, they did.
07:36Against Jacksonville.
07:37And then, so, you're not going to, I mean, even Tennessee this week, they're not going to go blow out
07:41the Titans.
07:42They're not going to have a game where they win by two scores.
07:45Yeah, can they control?
07:47That's an interesting question.
07:48I haven't really thought about that, Owen.
07:49But I think.
07:50Are they capable of just controlling a game?
07:53I think they are capable of doing that.
07:55I really do.
07:56I know there's a lot of injuries there that would go against it.
08:00That is a hell of a question you just asked.
08:03Like, the 2023 Browns.
08:05Like, I remember the Arizona game.
08:07I didn't remember who started for the Cardinals that day.
08:11Clayton Toon was his name, by the way.
08:13I didn't remember that.
08:14But it was like, hey, they were in control the entire game.
08:17It was basically a preseason game.
08:19Everybody had a good time.
08:20The Browns won like 27-0.
08:22And everybody went home.
08:23Like, that's, I think, what Owen's talking about.
08:25Like, you can control that game.
08:27I think you can.
08:28I think you can.
08:30But I do think it's more based on the opponent you play.
08:34Tennessee's in there.
08:35What do we think of the Saints, even though it's in New Orleans?
08:37I mean, you've got three straight road games coming up.
08:39Pittsburgh at Pittsburgh.
08:41That Steelers game, the first one, right?
08:43Was, you controlled it until.
08:46The first half, you controlled it.
08:48Yeah.
08:48And then it seemed like it was a different Deshaun in the second half.
08:52And so it made it.
08:53Yes.
08:53A much tighter game than it should have been.
08:56And I still think they're thin.
08:57I think the 2020 team and the 2023 team was deeper.
09:00This is still a thin team.
09:01But, you know, you're getting contributions from guys we didn't think we were going to get contributions.
09:05And I think that part of that's on coaching.
09:07I mean, being able to find a guy.
09:09Like, Audra Guestamay being a running back is one thing.
09:11Sam Kamara, who's been a part of the program or organization.
09:14Sorry, it's not college.
09:16Part of the organization for the last couple of years.
09:18And then calling him up off the practice squad.
09:20It's like, that gives me more.
09:22And him making plays and making stops gives me more faith in Mike Rutenberg.
09:26Like, it's one thing to take your number five overall pick and him make plays for you to begin the
09:32season.
09:33He should.
09:34It's another thing to have a guy who is a second round guy and him make plays for you to
09:39begin the season.
09:40He probably should.
09:42To take Sam Kamara and still be able to make plays, still be able to make stops.
09:46Isaiah McGuire being freed up, who's having a terrific season right now.
09:50Like, to the point where you're going to be like, okay, how do we get him taken care of to
09:54stay on the football team?
09:56Aiden Huntington, obviously a great story.
09:59Him being able to make plays for you.
10:01Like, that gives me more faith in Rutenberg and more faith in the guys that are coaching him up.
10:06And that's defense.
10:07And you've kept a lot of guys on defense.
10:09So, there is something to be said for how they are just complementing each other to it.
10:15But I don't know if we're going to have one of those games where you go out there and it's
10:1921-0,
10:21like, three minutes left to go in the first half and you're just in control of things.
10:26I don't think we're going to get there right now.
10:28If you get some guys back, maybe that'll change.
10:31But as of right now, I still think you're still a thin team.
10:35And so, yeah, it's scary.
10:38But I have more faith in the Browns considering how they've won these games than I would.
10:43I mean, New England, I got a lot of faith in Vrabel.
10:46Cincinnati, I got a lot of faith in Burrow.
10:48So, I don't want to budge on either one of those.
10:50But I still have more faith in the Browns than I do Cincinnati to be able to be in the
10:54wild card spot.
10:55For all the reasons I just said, not just Homerism.
