00:00You heard the warning from the Prime Minister and the RSS chief.
00:03They come at a time when protests, political confrontations.
00:07And then there are questions over regime change statements.
00:10They're dominating conversations, not just in India, but across the world.
00:14From Europe. I mean, talk about what's happening in France, what's happening in Italy,
00:18what's happening in Portugal, what's happening in Albania.
00:20Street protests have shaken governments and institutions in different parts of Europe.
00:25In India, the opposition and certain left-wing groups and activists,
00:28they've taken to the streets against the election commission,
00:31questioning the credibility of the election commission of India.
00:34But the larger question, where does the democratic right to protest, to dissent,
00:42where does that Lakshman Rekha be drawn?
00:45And when does destabilization of a nation begin?
00:50For example, the images that you see on your television screens from France or from Italy or from Albania,
00:56when buildings are being set on fire, when buildings are being torched or shops are being looted,
01:02is that a democratic form of protest?
01:04And I want you to see those images of Europe and Europe on fire.
01:09Take, for example, Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thakre faction MP, Sanjay Raut.
01:14When he invokes Albania, I want to show you those images of Albania.
01:19Watch those images.
01:21When he invokes Albania, when he claims that the country's Supreme Court was burned down
01:27and public anger was directed at institutions accused of helping who he terms are corrupt political leaders in Albania,
01:36he's urged nations to learn from these events, insisting that his own protests are in the country's interests.
01:46He's not the only one advocating this.
01:49Last week, you had senior advocate in the Supreme Court, Prashant Bhushan.
01:52He openly described the agitation as a regime change operation, saying, of course we want a regime change.
01:59He, of course, then went on to say that's a democratic right.
02:02It's the constitutional right of every citizen.
02:06And then, again, someone who was mainstreamed and platformed by these political parties, opposition parties and leaders,
02:14AISA, left-wing student leader, Neha Bohra.
02:18Neha Bohra invoked Bangladesh's Gen Z protests,
02:22where violence, marred streets and Hindu minorities were systematically targeted by radical Islamists.
02:29BORA invoked that 2024 protest to not just congratulate the students there,
02:35but then said India was fighting the same battle against radical forces.
02:42This nothing could be further from truth, but yet, is this how an attempt is being made to manufacture a
02:48false narrative?
02:49In Bangladesh, now there is evidence to suggest, from Muhammad Yunus,
02:56his statement about who were the chief architects of the protests,
03:00and their links to radical Islamist organizations like Jamaat-e-Islami,
03:04who use students as a facade, as a front, to carry out a detailed regime change operation.
03:11And then, Congress party leader, Pawan Khera, member of parliament,
03:15who argued that opposition wants a regime change,
03:18but he clarified through elections.
03:21And he said regime changes are not new.
03:23They happen through elections in India.
03:25The government, however, sees a very dangerous distinction between
03:30seeking a regime change through elections, through the ballot,
03:33and the government or elements in the government argue that while they may say that,
03:41the real agenda is mobilizing mass anger on the street
03:44and ensure that there are France-like protests or Europe-like protests,
03:50arson and loot and vandalism even in India.
03:54Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Minority Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju,
03:58he is warned against attempts to replicate France-like unrest in India,
04:03insisting that power in India changes only through elections.
04:07Defence Minister Rajnath Singh,
04:09he is accused the opposition of spreading misinformation
04:12and trying to take democracy hostage.
04:16The question is not whether citizens have a right to protest.
04:18Of course they do.
04:20But whether political parties and leaders
04:23and certain elements in civil society
04:25are directing public anger
04:29towards unrest like in France,
04:33like in Portugal,
04:35like in Italy,
04:36like in Albania,
04:37we debate.
04:38But first, listen in to what voices in the opposition have said.
04:44Regime change karana,
04:46har nagrit ka log tantrik adhikar.
04:49Yeh is tarhe ki tana shah sarkar
04:51is desh mein nahin chal sakti.
04:54Sab ne mil kar tekiar ki eb yeh ladaai
04:56pure sare civil society organizations ki students ke agwaii mein.
05:02Or hum students ko yeh shraye djetete hain.
05:05Students ko or youth organizations ko yeh shraye djetete hain.
05:08And unki agwaahi mein yeh ladaaii ladai jayegi.
05:11Who humare leader hoongi.
05:13And unki agwaahi mein
05:15sarhi civil society mil kar,
05:18political parties mil kar,
05:19sab yeh ladaai ladaengi
05:21humare log tantrik ko bachane ke liye
05:23or regime change ke liye.
05:25Yeh mein aaj khule tor par keh raha hon
05:27yehaan yeh regime change ki ladaai hai.
05:30Hey!
05:33We present you our Red Salute
05:35and we know that the Gen Z movement
05:37that we are seeing everywhere in this country

05:48We know that the movement that began in Bangladesh
05:51was for democratic and voter rights.
05:54Today, the movement that the young people
05:56are participating in and leading
05:58is also a movement for democratic
06:00and voting rights.
06:02We know that the fight that you fight
06:05against religious fundamentalism in your country
06:07is also a fight that the Gen Z

06:12that the vote is not a vote.
06:14We are trying to make our goal
06:16ourselves, trying to make our goal
06:19that we have to overcome this government,
06:22to overcome this system,
06:24to change this system.
06:47How does a regime change in a democracy like India?
06:52Through elections.
06:53All elections.
