00:08I'm honored to be with the President of Bosnia-Herzegovina National Committee. Hi.
00:13Hi. You have been awarded as an honorary member of CIGRE. How do you feel about it and what does
00:24it represent for all the members of your National Committee? Dear ladies and gentlemen, dear friends,
00:32it's a great pleasure for me to receive this award from CIGRE as known as honorable members.
00:44I'm grateful for those CIGRE members who recognized me and recommended me for this award
00:53from Ukraine to Canada and our neighboring country Croatia and Slovenia. This will be an award
01:03for all members of Bosnia-Herzegovina CIGRE committee in their effort in CIGRE working group,
01:13CIGRE committee and other activities from CIGRE. For the future, it will be incentive
01:26for our activities and we shall spread this idea over the young people, from women, from engineers and so on.
01:39Actually, what kind of events do you organize within your National Committee?
01:45Even we organize every two years national conference, CIGRE, and the other year organize
01:57CIGRE conference also. Among that, a roundtable about active electro-energetic problem sector and so on.
02:11For example, next week we have a roundtable about cyber security. It's one of the leading themes here in CIGRE
02:21session
02:21about transition, about other activities, what is in front of our efforts.
02:30Actually, you mentioned energy transition. We know that it's one of the biggest challenges
02:38that we will face. Could you tell us how Bosnia-Herzegovina is dealing with climate change
02:45and what kind of action do you make in place?
02:51This year, we celebrate 30 years of our participation in Paris CIGRE. In these 30 years, it's a big ceremony
03:00for us
03:01and we really accepted energy politics, European energy politics, especially decarbonization because
03:12our systems which we are following is a majority of thermal power plant production. We must change with many
03:24renewable sources, solar panels, wind projects and water projects. We didn't use all our potential. Thank God we have
03:36a lot of potential but we must work and develop these sources.
03:40Actually, one of the biggest challenges of our generation is energetic transition. Could you tell us more about how Bosnia
03:50-Herzegovina is dealing with climate change
03:53and what kind of action will be taken on this matter?
03:59It is a real good chance to exchange a view of our world news with new technology in this exhibition,
04:10in these panels, in these tutorials and we have a wide delegation
04:18from Bosnia-Herzegovina engineers, about 16 persons who participate here and I think we shall come back with new knowledge.
04:27Thank you for coming by and have a great session.
04:30Thank you very much for this opportunity and you are welcome to Bosnia-Herzegovina.
04:35I will, thank you.
