00:33Secret for me in a few words is
00:36international friends.
00:38It's the main topic
00:40of the technical society that's
00:42going on.

00:51I started in SIGRE in
00:532008
00:54I actually, this was my first Paris
00:56session and I started in a working
00:58group. So it's been
01:00quite a few years already.

01:10SIGRE has given me
01:11professionally a network
01:14of technical
01:16persons from around the world.
01:18It has also given me the
01:19opportunity to learn new things from
01:21how you do things around
01:23and also it has given me a
01:26network of people that I can
01:28use for my professional work back
01:29home when I have any
01:32questions or problems back home.
01:34It's unique.

01:43I think my contribution
01:46my main contribution probably
01:48started when I was became the chair of
01:50Study Committee B5 and in 2019
01:52we had a colloquia in Norway in my
01:56country in Tromsø and we had people from all over the world. It was really great. I think this could
02:02be one of my bigger
02:04contribution to SIGRE. Thank you.

02:14The virtual
02:15centennial session for me has been
02:17well a travel to even something
02:19new and we've seen over the last few
02:21years that you really need to adopt and change
02:23and this is something you also do outside
02:25of SIGRE. And to me
02:27it's been very nice to come here
02:29I was one of the lucky ones so it was nice
02:31to see a few people. But we have
02:33met virtually with everyone around
02:35the world that the technical professional
02:37here in Pallet
02:39des Congrès have been increasing
02:41well extremely supportive
02:43and very clever. So
02:45for me it was a new way of doing
02:47something that we will learn from
02:49in the future to come as well. I really
02:51enjoyed it.

02:59I think for SIGRE
03:01we have a very good team of
03:03technical people from the worldwide
03:05community. So we could more or less solve
03:07anything. One of the
03:09big challenges we
03:11see in the organisation is the
03:13time for people to travel
03:15to take part in working group
03:17and all this kind of thing. So it's
03:19extremely important that you
03:21as a boss support your team
03:23and give them the time to take part
03:25in SIGRE. They will learn a lot
03:27they will share their knowledge
03:28and we will all grow from it.
03:38In the future I see SIGRE as
03:41the big main
03:43community where you meet
03:45different parties from around the world
03:47from the university, from the
03:49utility, from the consultant
03:51you meet together. We
03:53discuss topics and we decide
03:55how we could do it and we
03:57report it in technical brochure.
03:59We will still do this in the future
04:00but we will do it even more virtually
04:02we'll meet physically sometimes
04:04but we will be adaptable. We've shown
04:06the last two years that we can really
04:08change when we need to. But we
04:10stay with the core. We are SIGRE.
