Easter brunch, baby prep and King’s Day come together in this cozy Dutch lifestyle vlog, where Jetske shares a relaxed weekend full of family moments, orange outfits and pregnancy updates. She celebrates Easter Monday with an Easter brunch, hides chocolate eggs for her young cousin, and talks about Dutch traditions like Easter bread, matzes and the joy of making memories as an auntie.

Back home, she shows baby essentials from her sister, including reusable diapers, and explains how she’s getting ready for life with her first child. Then it’s time for King’s Day in the Netherlands: orange sweaters, local celebrations in her village, a quieter plan because she’s pregnant, and a mix of FOMO, gratitude and taking it easy. The vlog closes with a calm Sunday on the rooftop, making it a warm, personal slice of everyday life.

00:00Hi everyone and thanks for watching this new vlog and today we're going to celebrate Easter
00:05because it is Easter Monday. Yesterday we went on a city trip, you saw that in my previous vlog
00:10and today we are having a vegan, or vegan, an Easter brunch, I want to say, not specifically
00:18vegan. I am vegan or I try to eat as vegan as possible since I'm pregnant. I'm not really
00:25strict. But I have here, I think this is typical, I don't know if it's typical Dutch or other
00:33European countries or other countries in the world has this as well. This is like an Easter
00:38bread. The text is also a feast stall, so a party stall. So it's also possible to eat it
00:44with Christmas. But it's with raisins in it and with sugar. And I don't know if it's typical
00:50Dutch. But we used to eat it a lot during Easter or Christmas. And I brought this with
00:57me. And what is typical Dutch is eggs. These are chocolate eggs. So eggs are not specifically
01:08typical Dutch because you have eggs from chickens all around the world. But the chocolate eggs
01:14are specifically Dutch. I realized when I was with Easter in Uganda years ago. And what is
01:22also really a Dutch thing is to hide the Easter eggs so the kids can find them. Since my cousin
01:32is really a young kid, he's almost two, I thought I'd choose for big eggs so he can find it
01:39more
01:39easily than the smaller eggs. So as an auntie, I'm going to hide that. These are literally
01:46the things I can't wait to do with my own kids. I am not really a baby mom. You have
01:53those people
01:54who really like to cuddle the baby and having those cozy times. But I am literally the entertaining
02:01mom. I love those moments when we indeed can hide the eggs or what we also do with chicken
02:09axes, paint the eggs and then hide them. Or going to, I don't know, nice playgrounds,
02:18play with my kids, play games. Yeah, go on adventure. Those kind of moments. I can't wait to relive
02:27my youth again. So yeah. But hey, first the baby moments. It will be also nice. But for now,
02:37I'm going to be the nice auntie and hide these eggs. So yeah, that's typical Dutch. Also typical Dutch
02:45is to eat a lot of bread and also the matzahs. I will show you. I think it's a Jewish
02:51thing.
02:53And it literally comes from the Bible. Ooh, now I have to get my Bible knowledge why there are matzahs.
03:02I think it was. I think it was because it was something with a long walk. My parents are really
03:12going to... Sorry. But it was something like some people went on a long walk and they searched for
03:21food that stayed long and then they made the matzahs. Something like that. And I hope I said it good.
03:27But you know what? That's the good thing of editing. Now the right explanation will come for you.
03:39That's also why we eat them with Esther Easter. Not with Esther. Okay, I'm over the moon excited.
03:47And I'll bring you with me during this Easter brunch.
03:59Okay guys, we are back home. I showed you a little bit of the Easter brunch. But we got a
04:07present. Well,
04:15I thought I'm going to install it together with you. I know how to install it. It's not really complicated.
04:21And then I will also show you the rest of the stuff we got. Because it's a lot again.
04:42I can't.
04:49Okay, the next thing I want to show you is this bag. Well, don't be afraid. I'm not going to
04:55show you
04:55the whole freaking bag. Because it's a lot. But it's actually one item in there. And that is
05:02reusable diapers. I just got a, or washable diapers. How do you call them? I can wash them. And that's
05:09the thing. I got a whole short course from my sister. How to, yeah, put it on for the baby.
05:19I'm really excited to do this. You have like this. You have to first put this layer on. And there
05:26is
05:26even an extra layer. But she said it's more that when the baby is going to sleep longer. But in
05:31the
05:31first few weeks, you don't use this layer. And then you have this one above it. Because this is, yeah,
05:42plastic, I think. At least this is getting really wet. It's basically a towel. And this is going to
05:51protect, yeah, the clothes that it doesn't get wet. And then we have also like a roll of paper,
05:58which you put in the diaper. That is when they are older. When they don't get breastfeeding alone
06:08anymore. That was the thing. When they stop getting only breast
06:15feet, then you should put the wall in it as well. Or one piece of paper. I think I can
06:24show you on a
06:25picture. It's like this. So yeah, I paid for this. I got it from my sister as well. And I
06:32could just,
06:33yeah, buy it from her because her babies can't handle really the wetness. So this is what we're
06:39going to try out. I hope our baby don't get really, yeah, how do you say that? An itchy skin
06:47of it. It can
06:48be because it's going to be really wet. And she also advised me that when the baby is going to
06:54sleep
06:54longer, like in the first weeks or maybe months, the baby gets awake every certain of hours. But
07:03when the baby starts to take longer sleep, then maybe I also going to combine it with, yeah, throw
07:11away diapers or diapers that I have to throw away. So yeah, a lot again, it's a bag full. And
07:19I'm really
07:19excited to use that and put it in the commode as well in the closet. And I got some clothes
07:27as well
07:28for my, from my sister for me. And that's all the things I've got. I got a lot.
08:02Hello, hello,
08:02it is Thursday and yesterday and the day before I work with kids, but actually the common days I
08:09don't work with kids. I work for myself at home. It is now afternoon, but I thought I'm going to
08:15show
08:15you something. I bought two sweaters. Yes, it's two in the same color, same size. No, not same size.
08:23Design. That's the word I was searching for. In the same design, because in two days it's King's Day.
08:33Actually, it's the King's birthday on Sunday. But since Sunday is a holy day, we are celebrating it on
08:42Saturday or we as a country, the Netherlands. For us, it's really normal to celebrate the birthday of the
08:48King. Fun fact, we used to celebrate Queen's Day. It was the 30th of April. Actually, it wasn't the
08:59birthday of the mother of the King. It was the birthday of, I think it was even her mother's birthday
09:06birthday or her mother's mother's birthday. I'm not so sure. I think it was her mother's birthday
09:12because actually Queen Beatrix, or now Princess Beatrix, her birthday is in December, October, November.
09:22Editor Jessica will now help you around. But since that's in wintertime, they thought we're not going
09:30to celebrate it, so we keep it on the 13th of April. But then her son, Beatrix's son, Prince Willem
09:38Alexander, now King Willem Alexander, is born on the 27th of April. They thought three days before,
09:46it's okay. So we now celebrate it on the 27th of April. But when it's on Sunday, we are like,
09:53no, no, no, no, no. Sunday is our holy day. Let's celebrate it on Saturday. So in two days,
09:58we're going to celebrate King's Day and then the whole Netherlands colors orange. So I thought I'm going
10:06to have one for my boyfriend and one for myself because I had already a t-shirt. But to be
10:12honest,
10:13April, yeah, now as well, it's really raining today. But April is not the hottest day of the year.
10:21So that's why you can better wear long sleeves than a t-shirt. So I finally have my orange sweater
10:28to party during King's Day. Today is the day that I'm going to make a lot of content, edit a
10:35lot of
10:35content and do some work for myself. It's already three o'clock. Yeah, it's three o'clock.
10:40I did a lot of work already. I also took some rest, since of course, I'm almost 27 weeks.
10:50Really now the time is, I don't know why, but the time is going so fast that I'm getting nervous
10:58and
10:59excited at the same time. Anywho, I also need to balance more my energy. So I took also some rest
11:08and
11:08I still have to do some work, but I'm going to do that now. I'm going to shoot some videos.
11:13I'm going to edit some and I'm going to pick up some groceries for a video. And that's actually
11:19basically it for today. Tomorrow I have also a whole list of things I want to do. Maybe if I
11:26have
11:26enough energy and the mood is good, then I'm going to do that today. Because tomorrow, yeah,
11:34we have a lot of, actually my boyfriend has a lot of appointments, but I think I should go with
11:40him
11:41to these appointments. So yeah, I see you either tonight, tomorrow or Saturday. I have no idea,
11:49but I just wanted to show you the orange t-shirt that I bought. Hey, good morning to you. It's
11:54Saturday
11:54and it's King's Day. That's why I'm dressed in orange, because today we celebrate the birthday of
12:02the king and then everyone is orange. I did already this last year, so yeah, today we're going to stay
12:09in my village. I'm pregnant and I'm not in the mood to be in a really crowded place.
12:15I have a little bit of FOMO. I really would love to dance and just party. But hey, it's going
12:24to be fine,
12:25it's going to be nice and yeah, I'm thinking I'm just going to the market now to see what's there
12:31and then we shall see what they will bring. But of course I take you with me and I should
12:38say enjoy
12:39the orange village.
13:12Okay guys, I am now, well, I want to say home, but I'm just, the good thing is I'm living
13:18in the
13:18center of, yeah, my village, town, whatever you can name it. It's not a city. So yeah, we just,
13:26I just went already around 12 for a walk and then around 2 for a walk. And my sister was
13:34here as well.
13:35Probably she will come back with her husband and kids and then we do another walk and join some other
13:41music and then probably we have dinner over there and maybe in the evening I'm also going to enjoy
13:48some music. But yeah, somehow I'm like, because to be honest, if I wasn't pregnant, I would probably
13:57stand there in the music dancing with a beer in my hand and going wild. But at this moment I'm
14:03really
14:03happy that I'm sitting and I'm going to sit on the couch as well, just to relax. And yeah, next
14:09year
14:09is also King's Day, so it will be fine. And I get something nice for it back. So I'm still
14:16grateful,
14:18although I feel a little bit fear of missing out. And on the other hand, I said also to my
14:23sister,
14:23because she said, yeah, it's quite boring. But I said, yeah, to be honest, if you are with a big
14:28group
14:28of people and the music is okay, then it doesn't matter where in what place you are celebrating it.
14:36So yeah, as long as the music is fine and the people are nice, just dance. So yeah, for now
14:44I'm
14:44going to wait home. My boyfriend is by the way in Amsterdam, he's meeting their friend. And yeah,
14:51he told me already like a week ago. And at first I thought, oh, I want to join them. But
14:55then I was like,
14:56no, I don't want to be in a train and in crowded Amsterdam. And so I said to him, you
15:02don't have
15:03to stick to my plan. Please follow your own because yeah, for me, it's quite okay to just have your
15:11own social life. So he's going to do that. And maybe we meet each other in the evening or at
15:19night.
15:19I don't know. We shall see, but it will be all fine. So yeah, I don't want to take away
15:26his King's
15:27Day from him, his second King's Day, since I'm pregnant. And like he said as well, there will be
15:35plenty of King's Days as well, which we can celebrate. Okay, guys, it is Sunday and I'm on my
15:42rooftop. Oh, it's six o'clock in the evening. I'm still chilling on my rooftop. What a life. I think
15:50the cozy summer slash spring nights just have begun. So I'm very grateful. Today was really a lazy day.
15:59We didn't do that much. I have to admit, I did some work. I called it a lazy day because
16:04I didn't
16:05went on a trip. But to be honest, I worked a lot today. So it was a work from home
16:10day. Yeah, I want
16:12to finish this vlog already. I hope you liked it, all the events. And I want to see you next
16:17week
16:17in a new vlog. Bye bye!
