00:11Hi everyone, we'll do a couple of questions for Fleetwood at the end of the press conference
00:16on the 10.30 for Monday, but if we're ready now, we'll have some hands up and we'll go.
00:22Charlie for some.
00:23The Premier League table looked quite nice viewing tonight, obviously you've closed the
00:27gap dramatically.
00:29Yes, we're very happy with the victory, with the performance and with the week because
00:34we were given a terrible schedule, playing Sunday afternoon, then Wednesday night in
00:39Munich, coming here really late on Thursday and having to play again in the Premier League
00:44against a really tough opponent on Saturday at 3pm.
00:47We have overcome every hurdle on top of some injuries and I love the mentality of the team
00:53and the quality that we've shown today.
00:54Can I ask about Gabby? At one stage, he seemed to hurt himself. What does it say about the
01:01player that A, he's continued and B, then, appeared at the other end to help C?
01:05Well, he's a clear example. When I'm talking about the mentality of the team, obviously the
01:11mentality of the team is the mentality of the individuals in the team and Gabby is a great
01:15example of that because we were all scared. Not because of the way he went down, but the
01:18reaction of the players. Now they were next to him. Immediately he says that he wants to
01:23continue and then he scores a goal to help us to win the game. That's what we need from
01:27our players.
01:31Yeah, I wasn't that mad to change those two from positions. It was because he had a slight
01:40issue. We don't know what it is. It seems something very small, but he was cautious of that.
01:47Yeah, very impressed. And to have that variability with him, it's really necessary, especially
01:54because we lost Bukaya and Christos. And as the two players, I give so much threat in the
02:00final third. But I like him. And if he continues to transform his mentality, his will, his capacity
02:07to be more consistent in actions, he's an unbelievable player.
02:10Just on that first part, it seems like the midfielders are constantly rotating into each other's
02:17positions. When you kind of drew up what your arsenal looked like this season, how complex
02:23of an idea did that seem like to you and the players?
02:27It depends on the opponent. It's a team that if you give them very, very clear references,
02:32it's extremely difficult to break them down. So that's why we had the profile that we had
02:35in midfield today to start with. They go and unlock that and they started to become a bit
02:40more active, which we, I think, understood really well to occupy the spaces and hurt them
02:48in the right moments. But that's why we need the players to understand, to have this dynamic,
02:53this chemistry understanding between them. And those relationships will get better and
02:57better throughout the season.
03:00We've asked you a few times, as you commented, but he's remarkable how quickly it seems easily
03:07that he's just not been in.
03:08Unbelievable. To come to a huge club like Arsenal with no pre-season, when Saliba is here with
03:15other players that are already here. And to position yourself in that manner, with that naturality,
03:21I would say. And I'm performing at the level that he's doing. And I'm building already a chemistry
03:27and a partnership with Gabi that seems so solid. It's very, very difficult to do. And we are
03:33really lucky to have him.
03:34How was the set piece?
03:35The two centre-backs scored a goal today. So we haven't scored from a set piece, which
03:40we were disappointed with, because we have generated so many chances as well. I think in midweek
03:44we should have scored at least two in Munich. And we didn't. And that will probably win
03:50us the game. So we know that in every phase of play we're going to be the best and we're
03:55not going to stop till we do it.
04:08I'm sure that's going to unlock something and that belief of the players. So they are
04:14probably convinced. I mean, you have to see them when we train the level of attention
04:18and how much they believe in what we do, in what Nico does as well. There's no question
04:23about that. But then at the end, it has to come through and it has to make a difference.
04:27And we know that that is a massive weapon for us.
04:29You seem to get a second-year-old card from the top-time of the season so far.
04:33Who?
04:33You did. Do you know what that was for?
04:35No. Today?
04:36Yeah.
04:36Oh, OK.
04:37Do you know what that was for? And also, if you get through this, obviously,
04:40game of the top-time, do you need to be careful?
04:42I do have to be careful, yeah. I'm going to put sensors there.
04:46There are the managers that have the record in the league 36 times in 10 minutes,
04:51leave the touchline, no yellows. So I'm clipping all of that.
04:55So I have a massive storage of images, so if somebody comes to say,
04:59I'm not in the record yet, somebody else has a record.
05:02So let's see. Then there's 36 yellow cards in 10 minutes for the managers.
05:05I don't know where we're going to be. Let's see.
05:08Ed Goddard?
05:09Hi, Michael. You mentioned before that you're going toe-to-toe with City now
05:13at the top of the league level and the point again.
05:15Is it a bit strange, given all the uncertainty that's hanging over City,
05:19you know, with the charges that you need to keep that momentum going?
05:24Well, we have to just focus on what we can do and we are very pleased with 90% of
05:32the results
05:32and performances that we had apart from the Brighton game, I would say.
05:37Hi, Michael. I mentioned that the partnership with Gabriel and Esri Kondar.
05:42Can you feel it getting a level up and does it make you completely believe it?
05:48Willian is not fit and we are desperate to have him back because we know what Willian offers.
05:53We are really lucky to have that and I'm sure Mosque when he plays that he will be the same
05:59because they have something special, those boys between them,
06:02the way we train them, the way they want to improve as well and how they look after each other.
06:09And that's the beauty of our team.
06:11The last couple of matches and I want to go back there.
06:13Hi.
06:14I just wanted to ask you if you scored early two at the Toms and you know,
06:18playing for the H4 teams and against some help,
06:21you know, they like to straighten the tempo to die healthy,
06:23if you take the tempo to the H4 teams?
06:25Yeah, I think today my fear was the longer they went, went.
06:29Like other times I wasn't because we had more people first,
06:33but today I thought if they stay in the result of the score first
06:36and it drags into 60-70 minutes, we have a problem.
06:40So, we talk about being very, very aggressive from the beginning,
06:44go for it and try to impose ourselves from the beginning of the match.
06:48I'm one in here.
06:50I'm one in here.
06:51You made five changes today for the team that you didn't drop.
06:54What does that say about the mentality and the style that you built around the team?
06:58Well, that's great and that is going to for sure make me do it again
07:04because then it gives you no reason not to do it
07:06because we have an unbelievable place but with the right mentality.
07:10Because the preparation is right, so when you need them, they are ready,
07:12they are all willing to play the part and impact the game.
07:15and they are certainly done that today.
07:17Okay, we'll now do a couple on Fleetwood.
07:19It's 10.30 Monday.
07:20Okay?
07:20Okay.
07:21.
