On India First, political panelists debate the outcomes of recent MLC elections across multiple states and the opposition's persistent demand to return to paper ballots. Following electoral setbacks where the Congress failed to secure seats across four states, including Karnataka, party spokesperson Bhavya Narasimhamurthy defended allegations regarding electronic voting machines and questioned the ruling party's record in Varanasi. In response, BJP National Spokesperson Sanju Verma pointed to the Congress's zero-seat tally across 28 Legislative Council seats and highlighted the BJP's electoral performance in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and other regions, arguing that the opposition makes excuses instead of introspecting. Columnist Swati Chaturvedi and political analyst Rajat Sethi analyzed the broader electoral implications, addressing internal political dynamics facing Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ahead of assembly elections, opposition demonstrations targeting the Election Commission, and shifting voter alignments.

00:01So, the Congress Party now says government should commit that all Lok Sabha and Vedanta Sabha elections will be conducted
00:06by ballot paper moving forward.
00:08Congress also says that the special intensive revision of the electoral roll should be suspended and 13.3 crore voters
00:14deleted should be added back.
00:17Now, is the Congress again moving in a different direction?
00:21Should they be looking within at results?
00:24What are signals from this result?
00:26Joining me on India First is Sanju Verma.
00:29National Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
00:32Bhavya Narasimha Murthy is National Spokesperson of the Congress Party.
00:35Swati Chaturvedi is a columnist and author and investigative journalist joins us on the show.
00:40Rajat Sethi joins us as a political analyst on this broadcast.
00:45Bhavya Narasimha Murthy, 0 of 28 in 4 states.
00:500 in Karnataka, a state ruled by the Congress.
00:54And Congress lost the Bangalore seat to JDS, the teacher's seat.
00:58Now, is this time for introspection instead of blaming either the EVM or the electoral system, ma'am?
01:09I think these two are different issues.
01:11Right?
01:12Here it was paper ballots.
01:14Yes, we have lost.
01:16Our chief minister has owned the accountability.
01:21But if, you know, I have seen these BJP MPs making fun that, you know, whether it is a paper
01:29ballot or EVM, Congress will lose.
01:32So, can I not, in the same argument, say, if people of Varanasi, when it comes to paper ballot, is
01:42not choosing BJP, if parliamentary elections happen in paper ballot, Narendra Modi will also lose Varanasi?
01:51Can I say that?
01:52Because, of course, there is vote chori.
01:55If you are making this argument, I can also make that argument.
01:58Narendra Modi will lose.
02:00Bring down paper ballot.
02:02Because in Varanasi, BJP lost the MLC seat.
02:07Okay.
02:07It's the same argument, isn't it?
02:09If they are making that argument from their side, I'm going to make this argument.
02:14Fair enough.
02:14Let's talk about MLC elections for what it is and vote chori for what it is.
02:19Vote chori, whatever has happened, the leader of opposition, Mr. Rahul Gandhi, has presented with evidence.
02:27He has been consistent in this fight for the past three years.
02:30Two election commissioners have registered their objections 14 times.
02:35Supreme Court, many times this has happened.
02:39The embarrassment to election commission and the Supreme Court said, you know, this SIR has to happen in Bihar because
02:44there are infiltrators or guzpatia in the language of BJP.
02:48And when they asked how many infiltrators are there, the election commission did not have a list.
02:54So, tell us why SIR is happening.
02:56And yesterday in Kadataka, more than a line dealer.
03:00You know, if you're coming to the SIR debate, we've had that many times in the past and we'll have
03:04it that many times in the future.
03:06I want to stay on the current topic of MLCs.
03:10But Sanju Verma wants to respond on merit, you know, of the fact that if Varanasi seats and both the
03:19Varanasi seats, if that's the argument, if it's held on ballot paper, the Prime Minister would lose, argues the Congress,
03:26ma'am.
03:27You want to respond to that? And may I add, Congress says, if BJP is so confident about victory, then
03:32commit to all upcoming Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections by ballot paper going forward.
03:37Respond, ma'am.
03:38Then and all of them.
03:40You know, now I heard the Congress spokesperson.
03:43You have to be utterly shameless or you have to be completely delusional or you have to be both.
03:51She doesn't know anything other than attacking someone personally.
03:55I did not mention you dim with that, Sanju Verma.
03:59You're so predictable.
04:01You're so predictable.
04:01Bhavya ji, let Sanjee ji complete a point.
04:04The moment she completes a point, I will come back to you.
04:06But let her complete her point uninterrupted.
04:08You're so predictable.
04:10You know, this is what happens.
04:12The utterly depraved and shameless Congress party spokespersons sit on national television after having a strike rate of zero seats
04:26out of the 28 NLC seats, which went into polling.
04:31And after that, they refuse to wake up and smell the coffee, which they say, Gaurav ji.
04:37Shutur Murg mentality.
04:39These all Congress pravakta, they follow their leader Rahul Gandhi and are the proverbial ostrich.
04:45The Varanasi.
04:46Come to Varanasi topic.
04:47The proverbial ostrich.
04:48Madam, you are not going to dictate what I'm going to speak.
04:51Please answer what Mr. Daurav asked.
04:55Gaurav, you can never run the debate alone.
04:57I don't wish to speak like this.
04:58Ask the depraved woman to shut up.
05:00Okay, give me.
05:01Okay, okay.
05:02Ask the depraved woman to answer the question.
05:04Daurav, instead of personal attacks.
05:06Personally, okay, 30 seconds.
05:08All faders go down except mine.
05:09My request to all our guests.
05:11One, my request.
05:13No personal attacks.
05:14Two, let the other speakers speak.
05:17There's ample time for all our speakers.
05:19My request.
05:20Okay.
05:20Only Sanju Verma.
05:22Bhavya Ji, no personal attacks.
05:23Sanju Verma, please go ahead.
05:25No personal attacks again, ma'am.
05:27It's not a personal attack.
05:29If after losing all the 28 MNC seats, scoring a big ZERO zero, the Congress spokesperson has
05:37the audacity to laugh mirthfully on your show and she has the audacity to ask questions
05:44of the Modi government instead of doing Atma Chintan, Atma Mantan and introspection.
05:49What do I call the shameless spokespersons?
05:52Their bluff needs to be called out, Gaurav.
05:54But the limited point is this.
05:56Who won both Lok Sabha 2019 and 2024 Varanasi elections?
06:01Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
06:02Who won Uttar Pradesh twice in a row?
06:05It is the BJP.
06:07Who won Uttarakhand twice in a row?
06:08It is the BJP.
06:13But the point about not being able to rest the Varanasi seat from the Samajwadi party is
06:18the question that Bhavya wanted to ask.
06:20Would you like to respond to that?
06:22Go on, ma'am.
06:23Coming to that.
06:24So let me make one thing very clear that Varanasi, the two seats we have, I am not going to
06:31be sitting here and saying, oh, we are very happy.
06:34You know, so what if we had a great strike rate in Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka?
06:39Varanasi doesn't matter to us.
06:40Of course, it matters to us.
06:42Every victory and every loss matters to us.
06:45We learn from our victories.
06:46We also learn from our defeats.
06:48We will go back to the drawing board and find out what happened in Varanasi.
06:52Gaurav, I want to end by saying one thing.
06:54You know, the basic difference between BJP and the Congress, even though we had a strike
07:00rate of 100 percent, BJP led NDA had a 100 percent strike rate winning all the four seats
07:06in Karnataka.
07:07In Karnataka, the Congress scored a big zero, ZERO, a big duck.
07:11The difference between us and the Congress is we fight for even, you know, a panchayat
07:17election.
07:18Okay.
07:18So Varanasi is a great thing for us.
07:20But the progress of Congress, even after losing, have you seen how shameless to be
07:24sitting and laughing at a national television?
07:26Okay.
07:27Let me quickly bring in Swati Chaturvedi.
07:29Can I?
07:30Okay.
07:30Can I?
07:31Okay.
07:31Yeah, 30 seconds ma'am.
07:32Yes, but my request to all our guests is please do personal attacks.
07:35I'm just saying, Dharav, the problem is here is, you know, before our viewers confused as to
07:42why I was laughing, I was purposely laughing to provoke this BJP spokesperson because previously
07:48she had a problem with my smile.
07:50But then again, I did not get the answer to paper ballot being used in Varanasi election.
07:56And if Narendra Modi will lose, because it's the same argument, I think.
08:01So that's a hypothetical scenario.
08:03Let me quickly, let me quickly bring in Swati Chaturvedi and Rajat into this conversation.
08:08Swati Chaturvedi, zero out of 28.
08:13Now, Congress may be a marginal player right now in Uttar Pradesh, but losing a seat to JDS
08:18in Karnataka and Darbhanga teacher's seat in Bihar to a new party, to the Jan Suraj party.
08:24Now, overall, it's not just happening in one area.
08:27Is it time for the Congress to seriously introspect?
08:31Absolutely, Gaurav.
08:33It's high time.
08:33And if you remember yesterday on your show, both the Congress spokey and the BJP spokey
08:38said that I was a partisan of either parties when the simple point I was trying to make
08:43yesterday was that the Congress used to be, once upon a time, it's the country's
08:47oldest party, it's called the GOP, you know, and it's, as of now, you know, a huge political
08:55party, but from the centre, it has moved towards the left.
08:59And clearly, that is reflecting in every election.
09:02Now, both Sanju Verma, as well as the Congress spokey here, sound like really sore losers.
09:07Like, Sanju Verma said that they're going to introspect about why they lost in Varanasi,
09:11where Mr Modi was actually trailing in some rounds in the general elections.
09:15And at one point, somebody had, you know, his rival had almost won.
09:18So I don't see much introspection from the BJP and from the Congress.
09:23Yes, the Congress today is standing at zero.
09:26And I'm surprised at the fact that the Congress spokesperson is laughing, because, you know,
09:31what does a political party exist for except to win elections and be in power?
09:35And the Congress is doing no introspection.
09:37They're just, you know, they're carrying on their agenda of personal attacks and issues
09:44which don't seem to have any traction with the voters.
09:47So you're saying these issues have no traction with the voters.
09:50But Rajat Sethi, can the Congress continue to hide behind the remove EVM and bring back
09:57the ballot paper narrative to hide whatever its electoral performances are?
10:04You know, 2014-44, 2019-55, 2024, they did rise to 99, but they remain in opposition, sir.
10:14So is their narrative working or not?
10:16You know, Swati Chathurvedi seems to indicate it's not working.
10:20So, Gaurav, first things on the Varanasi election, because it is certainly being talked about.
10:26But keep in mind that in 2020, Mr. Lal Bihari of the Samaj Bhadi party was actually the incumbent.
10:32He was a sitting MLC in that constituency, the specific teachers and graduates constituency.
10:38So he has continued to retain, although the margin of victory that was there in 2020 is now reduced.
10:44It is approximately 4,000, somewhere around that number.
10:47So that's the context behind it.
10:49People might think that this is one of the seats wherein the electorate is like directly into the MLA
10:55and therefore part of the constituency of the parliamentary elections.
10:58That is not the case.
10:59Now, back to your overall question.
11:01I am of the view that Congress party, why do they continue to latch on to the core issue of
11:07vote chori is?
11:08Because I don't think that they have any other issue on which they can hit the streets.
11:13There is no legitimate issue around which they can rally and create an emotional sort of outcry on the streets.
11:20And several people within the Congress party thinks that the momentum was gradually shifting away to a possible third alternative.
11:27It could be a mashup of different parties with the main rabble rouser being the CJP.
11:32That is the reason why Congress wants to go extremely vocal in its protest because otherwise it risks losing the
11:41momentum onto the third section of the political spectrum.
11:47And I believe this is where Congress party wants to continue.
11:50I don't think they are looking for a policy solution here because that will solve the problem.
11:55What is the narrative that will take them to the 2029 election?
11:58And I think that is the hunt which is going on on the streets of Delhi.
12:01Fair enough and Bhavya, I want you to comment on this Bhavya Narasimha Murthy.
12:05Zero in four is one part of the story.
12:07Karnataka, you know, which is your state in the sense that you have a chief minister there, you have a
12:12government there, is one part of the story.
12:14But look at even what's happening in Bihar.
12:16Losing the Darbhanga teacher's seat to Jan Suraj party.
12:20I mean, you know, their newbies, they've just come and Congress was founded in 1885.
12:26Jan Suraj party was founded in 2024 and they are able to take a seat from you, ma'am.
12:35Sir, I definitely, I definitely agree.
12:38There is a lot of things that we need to introspect here.
12:41Yes.
12:42And in Karnataka, we lost all four of it.
12:44We actually expected to, it was a very close fight, you know, in Bangalore teacher's constituency, it was 600 votes.
12:53That was unexpected.
12:55But anyways, we have to introspect and we will.
13:00But here, please give me more time because we have two BJP spokespersons here and only one Congress spokesperson and
13:06one neutral.
13:07So, I need to speak.
13:09Ma'am, you have ample time, but please do not, you know, cast aspersions or, you know, impute any motive
13:15to anybody.
13:16But be that as it may, go ahead, ma'am.
13:18Mr. Rajat Sethi has always been very biased.
13:21So, I would consider him as another spokesperson of BJP.
13:24And Miss Swati, just so I clear it out, I laughed only because the BJP spokesperson has a problem with
13:31my smile.
13:32In one of our debates, if you go see, it's viral on internet, she always has a problem with my
13:37smile.
13:38I purposely did that to provoke her.
13:39But I definitely agree with what you said.
13:41But now on the substantive point, ma'am.
13:43Congress needing to introspect.
13:45Yes, we will introspect, okay, but that does not trivialize vote chori or anything, you know, using EBM and the
13:54vote chori happening there.
13:55We are not going to let you trivialize the BJP, trivialize vote chori that is happening.
14:01It is a campaign, we will take it forward.
14:03And on November 1st, you will see the streets of Delhi when the leader of opposition has given a call,
14:11Delhi, chalo.
14:11You will see the support of Indians on the streets of Delhi against this vote chori, against this Gyanesh Kumar.
14:19Gaurab, can I comment?
14:20That also has to resonate with the voters of this country.
14:25You know, because a political party may feel that Gyanesh Kumar has a role to play, there are also those
14:32questions.
14:32I mean, you know, he became CEC in 2025.
14:35He became a part of EC in 2024.
14:38What about the losses before that?
14:41But be that as it may, it's for the voters and the narrative.
14:44Gaurab, we are not fighting here only because we are losing.
14:48We are fighting here because votes are being stolen.
14:52No, but votes are being stolen.
14:54Fair enough.
14:55Sanju Verma, Bihar is actually sending out a message to the BJP too.
14:59Losing the Patna teacher's seat.
15:02That's been your party's stronghold for three decades, 30 years.
15:06Losing it to the RJD.
15:08Is that a signal being sent out to the BJP too?
15:12You know, Gaurab, let me make one thing very clear.
15:15You know, first and foremost, I agree with Swati when she said that the Congress is increasingly becoming a leftist,
15:22left-centric party.
15:23Point number one.
15:24Point number two, let's not conflate and confuse issues and put BJP and the Congress on the same pedestal because
15:30BJP lost in Varanasi.
15:32So BJP has also not learned its lessons.
15:34Excuse me, we were wiped out in Maharashtra Loksabha 2024.
15:38We came back with a vengeance and 132 seats with a strike rate of 89%.
15:43And don't forget, in Bihar, BJP alone got 89 seats with a strike rate of 78.2%.
15:50And don't forget, the entire Darbari ecosystem wrote us off for Haryana 2024 poll saying, the jats in Haryana are
15:59fed up with BJP.
16:00We won Haryana for the third time running.
16:03I remember no pollster worth his salt that BJP had half a chance in Chhattisgarh and we won Chhattisgarh.
16:10But that's not the point.
16:12And the Patna teacher's seat, if I may.
16:14The point is simply this.
16:16Today, I have every right to be extremely happy about the fact that the BJP-led NDA has had a
16:24100% strike rate in Karnataka.
16:26I deserve to smile.
16:27I'm very happy about the fact that we won six out of 11 seats in Uttar Pradesh with a strike
16:34rate of 55%.
16:35I definitely deserve to smile.
16:37I'm very happy about the fact that in the recently held elections to student body councils, be it Punjab University,
16:45Hyderabad University, Patna University, Mangaluru University, Odisha University, Uttarakhand University, including the Delhi University student elections, the ABVP had a
16:58great show.
16:59And the Congress was blown to smithereens.
17:08and I want to tell them
17:16so Congress
17:17and learn to wake up and smell the coffee
17:23you're making a fool of yourself for national TV
17:26when your score is zero
17:29you're making a fool of yourself for national television
17:32Bhavya
17:34since you specifically talked about Bhavya before I bring in Swati
17:38I don't know she has a problem
17:40I don't know I don't even know
17:42she didn't answer my question
17:43whether Narendra Modi you lose
17:46if paper ballot happens in Varanasi
17:48this is the same argument I am using when they are using
17:52I did not get an answer to that
17:54but I think Sanju I am not taking her seriously
17:56because every debate she gets personal with me
17:59she has a personal problem with me
18:01so I am not going to dignify anymore
18:03I am not going to dignify her
18:04this thing all right
18:05she has a problem with me speaking
18:10she has a problem with my smile
18:11okay let me take this forward
18:13let me take this forward
18:14I want to bring in Swati Chaturvedi
18:16because let's talk about the bigger picture
18:18multiple red flags
18:19should be up in the Congress camp
18:21principal opposition party
18:24what's it you know getting in terms of numbers
18:28but are we extrapolating too much
18:29point one point two
18:31are Congress leaders focusing too much
18:33on protests in the Latians Delhi zone
18:36you know so one day there is a protest on
18:38Sansad Marg, Akashwani Bhavan
18:40one day on Bhagwan Das Marg
18:41on the road to Supreme Court
18:43one day this public impeachment again being planned
18:47I believe now it's at Malikarjun Kharge's residence
18:50and then Ramlila Maidan
18:51is it becoming too Delhi centric
18:53instead of taking the battle
18:55from north to south, east and west
18:57across the country
18:58like Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra
19:00that had traction
19:03well Gaurav you are absolutely right
19:06we should look at the bigger picture
19:07the bigger picture
19:08the two three takeaways from here
19:09the biggest takeaway is
19:11it's also a message to all the three chief ministers
19:13because UP is coming up for elections
19:16and we all know that despite the BJP saying
19:19that everything is hunky-dory in UP
19:21it's not
19:21there are clear differences between
19:23Yogi Adityanath, Amit Shah and Naren Modi
19:25and for the BJP the biggest worry
19:27is how to manage Yogi
19:28and how to manage a win in UP
19:30because UP is critical
19:32you know I mean
19:33there is no politics in India
19:36without winning UP
19:37number one
19:37number two in Karnataka
19:39which is one of the very few big states
19:41left for the Congress
19:41they had a you know
19:43successful changeover of chief ministers
19:45and for DK Shiv Kumar
19:47this is like a personal loss
19:48because you know
19:49he had promised the Gandhi family
19:51when he was made chief minister
19:52that Karnataka is going to be a safe house
19:55it is not clearly
19:56because they've you know
19:56they've been they've lost
19:57and it's so difficult to lose
19:59when you're in power
20:00and of course in Bihar
20:02you know Samrat Chaudhary
20:03should be worrying about the fact
20:05that Prashant Kishore
20:06who's a newbie
20:06is kind of stealing his thunder
20:08so the bigger message is also
20:10to three chief ministers
20:12but the biggest
20:14I think
20:15in my reckoning would be
20:16the message that
20:17Uttar Pradesh is sending
20:18and the voters of Uttar Pradesh
20:20are sending
20:20and clearly the BJP
20:22I mean the Congress
20:22has literally no stake in UP
20:24but the BJP should worry about that
20:26Rajat Sethi
20:28if you were to combine
20:29Uttar Pradesh
20:3080 seats
20:31Bihar
20:3140 seats
20:32120 seats
20:34and for anyone
20:35to be in 7 Lok Kalyan Marg
20:37these two states
20:38become extremely important
20:39as does Maharashtra
20:41with 48
20:41but I want to understand
20:42from you
20:43your thoughts
20:44on you know
20:45Samajwadi party
20:46being so close
20:47to the BJP
20:485 of 11
20:48for SP
20:50and 6 of 11
20:51for the BJP
20:52and of course
20:52the electorate
20:53of Varanasi
20:54SP retaining
20:55Varanasi teachers
20:56MLC seat
20:57and a decisive win
20:58in the Varanasi
20:59graduates constituency
21:00is that a big
21:02signal
21:03for Yogi Adityanath
21:04also
21:06I agree Gaurav
21:07I think BJP
21:08will have to
21:10really think
21:11why are there still
21:13internal differences
21:14in the party
21:15you know
21:16we saw
21:16Keshav Maurya
21:17the deputy CM
21:18coming out
21:19and making a statement
21:20so
21:21so close to an election
21:22you are barely
21:23few months
21:234-5 months
21:24away from the election
21:25it should have been
21:26a united house
21:27there should have been
21:27clean up within the party
21:28there should have been
21:29radical changes
21:30there are
21:31you know
21:32the OBC
21:33aspirations
21:33of the caste
21:35communities
21:35various kinds
21:36of those
21:36which have not
21:37found space
21:38in the current
21:39setup
21:39of the power
21:41structure
21:41that is there
21:42so I believe
21:43there will be
21:44and there has been
21:45enough anti-incumbency
21:46which would build in
21:47just because of
21:47the time
21:48that has been spent
21:49by Yogi G
21:50as a CM
21:52so it's a significant
21:53time
21:53so maybe there are
21:54a lot of internal
21:55daggers
21:56which will come out
21:57so it's going to be
21:57difficult
21:58and you absolutely
21:59cannot take things
22:00for granted
22:01you will also see
22:02that Samajwadi
22:03party and their
22:04rule
22:04a lot of people
22:04have forgotten
22:05also the anti-incumbency
22:07that used to build up
22:08in the 2012-2017
22:09rule of Akhile Shadalji
22:11when he was the
22:11chief minister
22:12lots of learnings
22:14there has been
22:15some corrections
22:15since 2024
22:16but a lot needs
22:18to be done
22:18and I think
22:19that's the mirror
22:19that BJP has to see
22:21but again
22:21you know
22:22if you contextualize it
22:23if Yogi G
22:25would have lost
22:25all the seats
22:26people would have been
22:27gunning for his
22:28resignation by now
22:29but Congress
22:30see every party
22:30has a lesson here
22:31but Congress
22:32has no lesson
22:33Congress will
22:34live in this
22:35la-la land
22:36they are
22:37they are so happy
22:38about anything
22:38and everything
22:39will happen
22:39in Varanasi
22:40they lost MSC
22:41ask Modi to resign
22:42Sanju Varma
22:43come in and then
22:44Bhavya
22:45you're so rude
22:46he's so rude
22:47UP message
22:48UP message
22:50so close
22:50to listen
22:51Bhavya
22:51first Sanju
22:52and then you
22:53Sanju Varma
22:54go ahead ma'am
22:55you know
22:56Gaurav
22:56in the last
22:57three
22:58Lok Sabha
22:59elections
22:59Uttar Pradesh
23:01assembly elections
23:02Uttar Pradesh
23:02Congress's
23:03vote share
23:04has never
23:04crossed
23:052.37%
23:06Congress has
23:07managed to
23:07win perhaps
23:08four seats
23:09in three
23:10Uttar Pradesh
23:10assembly elections
23:11put together
23:12so Congress
23:13is a big
23:13zero
23:14it is nowhere
23:14it is running
23:15as far as
23:16Uttar Pradesh
23:16goes
23:17Priyanka
23:17Vadra
23:18and Rahul
23:18Gandhi
23:18credibility
23:19in Uttar
23:20Pradesh
23:21is against
23:21ZERO
23:22zero
23:22but I want
23:23to focus
23:23on one
23:24thing
23:24you know
23:25when Rahul
23:26Gandhi
23:26party
23:27wins Keralam
23:27elections
23:28oh we
23:28thank the
23:29electorate of
23:29Keralam
23:30for reposing
23:31their faith
23:31in us
23:31when Congress
23:32wins
23:33Karnataka
23:34Himachal Pradesh
23:35the moment
23:36Congress
23:37loses Bengal
23:37the moment
23:38Congress
23:38is wiped out
23:39in Maharashtra
23:40Haryana
23:40Delhi
23:41Rahul Gandhi
23:42like a sore
23:43child
23:43who's lost
23:44his candy
23:45starts crying
23:46the Congress
23:50fails to realize
23:51Rahul Gandhi's
23:53umpteen
23:53resurrections
23:55are not
23:55resonating
23:56on the ground
23:57with the
23:57electorate
23:58as Prime
23:59Minister
23:59Modi
24:00said
24:00he's well
24:01past his
24:02expiry date
24:03but the
24:03Congress
24:03continues to
24:04treat him
24:05as the
24:05next best
24:06thing
24:06after brown
24:07bread and
24:07spaghetti
24:09Bhavya
24:11will respond
24:12to that
24:12but the
24:12question
24:12that was
24:13put to
24:13you
24:13both by
24:14Rajat
24:15and by
24:15Swati
24:16you know
24:17was about
24:18Samajwadi
24:18parties so
24:19close and
24:20internal
24:20differences
24:21within the
24:21BJP so
24:22close to
24:22elections
24:23you know
24:24after 10
24:24years of
24:24being in
24:25power
24:25this could
24:26be a
24:26double
24:26whammy
24:27for the
24:27BJP
24:27in
24:282027
24:29UP
24:29elections
24:30ma'am
24:31you know
24:31both
24:32Rajat
24:32and
24:32Swati
24:33have a
24:34great
24:34pulse
24:35on
24:36you know
24:36the
24:36political
24:37landscape
24:37but I
24:38agree to
24:40disagree
24:40with them
24:40with no
24:41offense to
24:42Swati
24:42I think
24:43even during
24:43the 2022
24:44Uttar Pradesh
24:45assembly elections
24:46she did not
24:47give the BJP
24:48even half a
24:49chance and
24:49she said
24:50Akhilesh Yadav
24:51would make a
24:51strong comeback
24:52and we know
24:53what happened
24:54as far as
24:55sorting out
24:55internal
24:56differences go
24:57I will just
24:58say this
24:58BJP is a
24:59large organization
25:00but eventually
25:01when it comes
25:02down to the
25:03brass tacks
25:04when push
25:05comes to
25:05shove
25:06all heads
25:07come together
25:08work together
25:09and I
25:09think we
25:10have
25:10amply
25:11proven that
25:12again and
25:12again and
25:13our track
25:13record
25:14speaks for
25:15itself
25:15so like
25:16JP
25:16says
25:16you know
25:17congress
25:26our
25:31organizational
25:32strength
25:34overcomes
25:34overcomes
25:35every other
25:35political
25:35difference
25:36that may
25:37be there
25:38or may
25:38not be
25:39there
25:39fair enough
25:40Bhavan
25:40Narsim
25:40Mahmurthy
25:41respond to
25:42what's actually
25:43happening on
25:44ground ma'am
25:44results show
25:45regional parties
25:46beat the
25:47Samajwadi party
25:47or even a newbie
25:48like Jan Suraj
25:49party or even
25:50the RJD
25:51you know
25:51they may be
25:52down but
25:53they are not
25:53out
25:53they are
25:54fighting
25:54it's almost
25:55like trench
25:56warfare for
25:56every seat
25:57but the congress
25:58seems to be
25:58struggling
25:59in Karnataka
26:00and in
26:01Uttar Pradesh
26:02and in
26:02Bihar
26:03and in
26:03Maharashtra
26:04ma'am
26:05is there
26:06merit
26:06that slowly
26:07congress
26:09is losing
26:09ground
26:10regional parties
26:11are still
26:12in the
26:12fight
26:15Gaurav I
26:16would like
26:16to first
26:16add to
26:17what the
26:18BJP
26:18spokesperson
26:19spoke
26:20BJP
26:20ke paas
26:22Gyanesh
26:22Kumar
26:23bhi hai
26:24BJP
26:25ke paas
26:26Ambani
26:26bhi hai
26:27BJP
26:28ke saath
26:29why did
26:31you forget
26:31that
26:32why did
26:33you forget
26:33that
26:33that's
26:34exactly
26:34how you
26:35are winning
26:35elections
26:36all right
26:38BJP
26:38ke saath
26:39adani hai
26:40BJP
26:40ke saath
26:41Ambani hai
26:42BJP
26:43ke saath
26:43Gyanesh
26:44Kumar hai
26:45that is
26:45the confidence
26:46with which
26:47you people
26:47are speaking
26:48that is
26:49the confidence
26:49with which
26:50you said
26:51UK
26:51it will not
26:52be a challenge
26:53not because
26:54of your
26:55ideology
26:55you people
26:56are zero
26:57with ideology
26:58your ideology
26:59is communal
27:00which does not
27:02go with the value
27:03of India
27:03one by one
27:04all right
27:05all you have
27:06is Gyanesh
27:06Kumar
27:07Adani
27:07and Ambani
27:08that is the confidence
27:10you people have
27:11in winning elections
27:12let's be honest
27:17let me once again
27:19bring in Swati
27:19to move forward
27:21in this conversation
27:23you know Swati
27:24political parties
27:25may have their
27:25political points
27:26you know
27:27Bhavan Arsana
27:28will say
27:29that BJP
27:30has Gyanesh
27:30Kumar
27:31Adani
27:31Ambani
27:32or whatever
27:32else
27:33and the BJP
27:34will say
27:35congress
27:35has George Soros
27:36or whoever
27:36else
27:37but the fact
27:38does remain
27:38look at
27:39the MLC
27:40okay
27:41you know
27:42Maharashtra
27:43for example
27:43too
27:44Pune division
27:45teacher seat
27:46the congress
27:46is losing
27:47a seat
27:47to the BJP
27:48regional parties
27:49are fighting
27:50BJP
27:51is holding
27:51ground
27:52but congress
27:53appears to be
27:53losing ground
27:55is that a conclusion
27:57or is that
27:57too much
27:58of a stretch
27:58to draw
27:59from these results
28:01well I mean
28:02Gaurav if you
28:03just look at
28:04the trends
28:05the election
28:07trends
28:07and who's won
28:08and who's lost
28:08clearly I mean
28:09if I can use
28:10a Hindi metaphor
28:12because all
28:13that the congress
28:14does is make
28:15excuses for losing
28:16now we've just
28:18heard the
28:19congress spokesperson
28:20talk about
28:21two industrialists
28:22and Gyanesh
28:23Kumar
28:23now as you
28:24said remember
28:25that Gyanesh
28:25Kumar was not
28:26there he's not
28:27been there for
28:2712 years
28:28so you know
28:29you have to
28:30it is
28:31if there is
28:32vote jury
28:32there are
28:32clearly issues
28:33with the
28:34election commission
28:34I mean
28:34nobody is
28:36denying the
28:36opacity
28:37the problems
28:38the fact
28:39that so many
28:39people are
28:40being disenfranchised
28:41but
28:42I mean
28:43all these
28:44problems
28:44I don't want
28:45to name
28:45former
28:46CECs
28:47and ECs
28:47who then
28:47became part
28:48of political
28:49parties
28:49so you
28:50can't say
28:50nobody can
28:51say a problem
28:51arose only
28:52in 2014
28:53I agree
28:55I can name
28:56MS Gil
28:58who became
28:58a minister
29:00but the
29:01fact is
29:01Gaurav
29:01what we
29:02are discussing
29:03is the
29:03optics
29:04and how
29:05is the
29:05political
29:05party
29:06approaching
29:06it
29:06is the
29:07congress
29:07the way
29:08they're
29:08protesting
29:08like I
29:09said on your
29:09show
29:09yesterday
29:10that this
29:10mock
29:11parliament
29:12and this
29:13mock
29:13impeachment
29:13is a
29:14juvenile
29:14idea
29:15it's the
29:15kind of
29:16stuff
29:16that one
29:16used to
29:16do
29:17in college
29:17or the
29:17left
29:18why would
29:18that be
29:18a juvenile
29:19idea
29:20it's a
29:20juvenile
29:21madam
29:21because
29:21why
29:2230 seconds
29:2430 seconds
29:25to both
29:2630 seconds
29:2730 seconds
29:28okay
29:28Sanju
29:28Varma
29:2930 seconds
29:30that's one of
29:30our ways
29:31of expressing
29:31our resistance
29:32that's one
29:33of a very
29:34creative way
29:35to show
29:36our resistance
29:37to the
29:37mock
29:37impeachment
29:38is a creative
29:39way of showing
29:39resistance
29:41okay
29:41okay
29:42Sanju
29:42Varma
29:4330 seconds
29:4330 seconds
29:44just 30 seconds
29:45trying to
29:46impeach
29:47Gyanesh Kumar
29:47showing the
29:48public how
29:49it is done
29:50you want to
29:51jubilize in that
29:52I don't see
29:52anything jubilize in that
29:53because that should
29:53be shown in
29:54parliament
29:54if you have the
29:55numbers show it
29:56in parliament
29:58we might not
29:59have the numbers
30:00but the
30:01public
30:01you will see
30:02Sanju Varma
30:0330 seconds
30:05only Sanju
30:06Varma
30:0630 seconds
30:07yes
30:08Sanju
30:09Varma
30:09complete your
30:09point
30:10Gaurav
30:11I just want
30:11to say
30:11this to
30:12the congress
30:12party
30:13which says
30:13oh
30:13BJP
30:15has
30:15Gyanesh Kumar
30:15Congress
30:16has not
30:17been in
30:17power
30:18in Tripura
30:19since 1993
30:20in Bengal
30:21since 1977
30:22in Sikkim
30:23since 1984
30:24in Uttar Pradesh
30:26since 1989
30:27in Bihar
30:28since 1990
30:28in Gujarat
30:30and Orisha
30:30since 1995
30:31in Nagaland
30:32since 2003
30:33and in Tamil
30:34Nadu
30:35since 1967
30:36so it's
30:37time for
30:37everyone to
30:38introspect
30:38it's time
30:39for all
30:39political
30:39parties
30:40to introspect
30:40but we're
30:42entering
30:42very interesting
30:43season
30:43we're entering
30:44very interesting
30:45political season
30:47okay
30:48okay
30:49time up
30:50time up
30:50time up
30:50because
