00:48They have been facing the heat of the authorities time and again.
00:54And with fresh raids having been launched against Kane Nehru, ex-Tamiladu minister and Anvil Mahesh.
01:01And the DMK has now, again, come out to make their jive, which they had stuck to earlier as well.
01:08That this is the dummy chief minister who's taking action against these particular former cabinet, state cabinet members, that is.

01:28And ever since the TVK has come into power, we've seen several such DMK ministers, ex-TMK ministers, that is,
01:35who've come under the radar of the investigative agencies for their involvement across different scams and their roles in them.
01:45And several high, quite high sums of money have also been mentioned in these scams that they have been responsible

02:03Not the first time these raids are taking place.

02:08That's right.
02:09In fact, Kane Nehru's residence and his brothers and all the properties linked to his associates, they have been raided
02:16before.
02:17In fact, this comes right at the heels of former DMK minister Anvil Mahesh's arrest.
02:22Just days after that, another formal, powerful minister, very close to the top ranks of DMK, Mr. Kane Nehru.
02:28His residence has been raided now by the DVAC.
02:32In fact, in the year 2025, the Enforcement Directorate had written a dossier to the Tamil Nadu's DGP detailing this
02:39crime.
02:39But at that moment, the DMK was still in power and no action really was taken against Kane Nehru.
02:44And now, the TVK government has initiated action.
02:48And in fact, just two days back, the Madras High Court, in a setback for Kane Nehru, had dismissed his
02:55application, his petition, seeking for a review of the FIR that was filed against him.
03:00Now, right after that setback, the DVAC has continued its probe.
03:04And now, in Trichy, which is Kane Nehru's hometown, his residence is being raided at the moment.
03:10What we are learning, the case details are quite shocking because we are talking about more than 2,500 jobs
03:16that were filled in exchange of money.
03:19It's a multi-crore scam is what we are hearing, the details of which are yet to be fully ascertained.
03:24The financial money trail is also fully yet to be ascertained.
03:28And therefore, the raids that's taking place in his residence is in connection to that.
