00:11So it's winter, it's freezing, my skin is super pale, so I'm really hoping today James can help
00:16me figure out how to get a winter appropriate glow. So Kate. James. These winter months have
00:22you feeling washed out. Yes, I'm feeling super pasty. It's not a good look for me. Pasty and
00:27pale are some of those things that can really start to wear women down in the winter, but
00:32I'm not a fan of overly used bronzer, and I know you're not either. Agreed, I just have
00:37a fear of looking super orange. What I would love to do is show you how you can use a
00:42bit
00:42of bronzer, some blush, and a little bit of shimmer to get a glow that feels very natural
00:47and fashion forward for every skin tone. Sounds great, let's do it. The first trick to wearing
00:52blush and bronzer is choosing a color that feels like your own complexion. So the first thing
00:58I want you to always think about is what color do you flush naturally? Okay. And we're going
01:03to choose a blush in that shade. Now my big trick for a natural bronze look is to use a
01:08cream blush below your foundation, and we're going to use that right at the apple of the
01:13cheek. The same way you would as if you've just had a glass of wine or exercise. Oh yeah,
01:19not together, separately. And then you would take your foundation and just bring it right
01:24over that bit of blush. The blush will look like it's flushing through the skin and give
01:30you a really natural glow. Next I'm using a bit of shimmer, and I'm not always a fan of
01:36shimmer because we do not get glittery when we go in the sun. But if we're using shimmer,
01:42we want to keep it towards the highest point of the cheekbone. And I'm starting at the temple,
01:48and just using my finger to bring it right in towards the apple of the cheek. Lastly,
01:52I choose a powder bronzer. And what you really want to think about is do you have a golden
01:57skin tone or a red skin tone? With a more golden skin tone, we want to choose a more golden
02:02shade
02:02of bronzer. And I'm using a very soft brush. We only want to use bronzer where sun hits the
02:08face. So the forehead, down the center of the nose, the chin, and the highest point of the cheekbone.
02:17And that is a really easy way to get a natural glowing look for these gray winter months. Do you
02:25want to take a look? Of course. Okay. Don't be nervous. Oh great. It's super subtle, which is totally
02:31my vibe. It's you. I don't want to be too orange. This is a perfect glow, it feels like for
02:35me. Well,
02:36and I love this for every day right into nighttime. If you did want to make it more intense, do
02:41not be
02:41afraid to play with color. A bit brighter with the blush, a bit bolder with the bronzer, and that works
02:46well for every skin tone. Okay, great. Well, thank you, James. I'm so glad I don't have to sit in
02:51the sun to
02:51get a little glow in the winter time.
