00:02I started running at a very young age and I didn't have the right shoes or the
00:06right clothes but not having the right tools doesn't mean you can't find a way
00:09there's always a way I wanted to excel in running and go to college and be the
00:14first in my family to graduate and I did just that 21 years later I still wanted
00:20to excel and improve even if it's a little changes because small tweaks lead
00:24to big outcomes but some days aren't going to go your way when I got out of
00:29college no team wanted me I didn't know what it was but people kept closing the
00:33doors on me the entire time I thought well too bad because I am good enough I
00:40hadn't come this far to let anyone tell me what I couldn't do
00:48when I fell during the 800 meter Olympic trials I was devastated it had happened
00:53so quickly I shut my eyes and I thought this is not happening to me everything
00:58I worked for gone but then I said to myself this has to be my story I got
01:04back up focused and said to myself let's go make the Olympic team in my next event
01:12I kept my head up and just moved past it I took it as a speed bump I wasn't gonna
01:17let it stop me because I still had another chance
