00:13Hi, are you here for the audition?
00:14Yep. Go ahead and have a seat.
00:24I kind of like live for these moments where I get to actually act.
00:36Sometimes I think we have a theater ghost.
00:38Go ahead and complete the audition form.
00:45Let's take a list with that.
00:47All right, so now I'll go ahead and have you stand on stage there.
00:51You will imagine a large object traveling from a distance, okay?
00:58It's traveling from a distance and arrives at the liquid stage.
01:01Let's take a look.
01:16Let's take a look.
01:16Let's take a look.
01:31Okay, good.
01:32That's it.
01:33All right, give yourself a round of applause.
01:38All right, you will be notified within 24 to 48 hours.
01:42You did a great job.
01:44Forget about it.
01:45Relax.
01:46It's on Friday.
01:47Enjoy your weekend.
01:48All right?
01:49I'm tired.
01:50There's like, there's something in the air today.
01:54I just chalk it up to being LA.
01:56It's LA.
01:56And there's all types of people in LA.
02:06I moved to LA three years ago to become an actress.
02:09Capri.
02:10Capri.
02:11Capri.
02:12And that's clothes.
02:15I was about to go to law school and then I interned for a bunch of lawyers and it was,
02:20no one was like happy for me or like excited.
02:23And then I just had this huge change of heart.
02:28My mom was just like, she just couldn't believe it.
02:33In Indian culture, they really care what other people think.
02:36And so the first thing she said was like, what am I going to tell other people?
02:40Like, what about our reputation?
02:41In fact, they didn't tell everybody I went to acting until like two years after I kind
02:46of chose it.
02:51I was in this play.
02:53And so my dad, the last time we talked, he was like, hey, did you ever get paid for that
02:58play?
02:59And I said, yeah.
03:00And I, I don't know why I just said 300 instead of 250.
03:04He was like, wait, didn't you drive there like every day over an hour?
03:07And I was like, yes.
03:08And he was like, and how long did you rehearse for?
03:11It was like a full month.
03:13And he was like, so that means, Neha, you didn't even make minimum wage.
03:21Should I do something like Indian?
03:23Just kidding.
03:24Namaste.
03:27I like coming here because it reminds me of home.
03:31I kind of become the black sheep of the family.
03:35I know my grandparents just don't.
03:37I don't even talk to my one grandfather.
03:40He was like, oh, that's not a profession.
03:42How can you give up all your college education on this?
03:45He was just going off.
03:46I just let it, I just know to like, let them talk and say what they want.
03:50But then he turned to my mom after like, you know, haranguing me.
03:54And he was like, but this is your fault.
03:56Like you raised her like this.
03:59So that was really hard to see that my parents were getting like the brunt of a lot.
04:04Their, their parents are a different generation who just don't even understand.
04:23Yeah.
04:23Ready for your next edition?
04:25Yeah.
04:26I don't like not knowing what it is.
04:28But.
04:30Hey, Miss.
04:31Hi, guys.
04:32Can we use it on YouTube too?
04:52Night, hi.
04:52Nice to meet you.
04:53Nice to meet you.
04:53Let's help.
04:54You look sad, that's fine.
04:55Yeah.
04:56After you.
04:59Do you want me to be like, center?
05:01You can be wherever you want to be on the stage, and you can talk to one of us, or
05:07you can just talk to the whole room.
05:09It's however you want to do it.
05:10All right, thank you.
05:14Everybody needs to own it.
05:16Everybody.
05:21Because we are like this.
05:24We are like this.
05:35Thank you so much.
05:36Have a great weekend.
05:38Lovely to meet you.
05:39The life of an actor is coming out of every audition and being like, I fucked up.
05:44I'm horrible.
05:45I suck.
06:01I don't think I look high school.
06:03You know what?
06:04Submit anyway.
06:07The second audition, he was like, we liked you.
06:12Well, some of us were on the fence.
06:14And so that was kind of awkward.
06:16But then, you know, with this, I just had to let it go.
06:22I would just like, for my income solely to be from acting.
06:27I know it sounds really bad.
06:29I really don't want to cry.
06:36I know, like, the best way to prove them is just to, like, be stable in it.
06:41That paycheck.
06:43And showing my dad, like, I can make a career of this.
06:47And I'm going to come back and prove to you that, like, I can do this.
07:03I ask myself every day, am I doing the right thing?
07:10Am I?
07:14Because more than anything, more than anything in the world, I want to be good.
07:21Okay, let's cut.
07:22How did you feel about that one?
07:25I felt better, but I took the lines, like, way.
07:30And I'm going to tell you.
07:30Alright.
07:31Bye.
07:31You
