00:06On a boat! On a boat!
00:11Cheers to London!
00:14Ugh, I might have to live here.
00:17London truly has a little bit of everything.
00:20From gorgeous views, such London,
00:24to craveable cocktails,
00:26incredible food.
00:28Ooh, that was delicious!
00:30And some hidden gems.
00:31Today I'm sharing my favorite spots to hit in London,
00:34and trust, there'll be some IG-worthy moments along the way.
00:38I'm Anissa, and this is 29 Hours London.
00:42You ready? Let's go!
00:47After taking a flight across the Atlantic,
00:50my favorite thing to do is take a rest and freshen up.
00:54Nobody looks cute after six hours in the air.
00:57The Rosewood Hotel, located in central London,
00:59is the perfect place to start,
01:02and feel like you're checking into Buckingham Palace
01:04with the Queen herself.
01:05Be sure to try a traditional English breakfast,
01:08beans, blood sausage and all,
01:10before you start exploring.
01:12The gorgeous exteriors of the hotel
01:14scream quintessential London.
01:19You absolutely need to check out the pie room,
01:21nestled in the hotel's Holborn Dining Room.
01:23What is the pie room?
01:25This is a kitchen that I created
01:26to sort of demonstrate some old-school techniques
01:29that we have in London.
01:31Led by Chef Callan Franklin and his lead pastry chef, Knox,
01:35The adorable space is a pie playground,
01:38turning out more than 200 hand-crafted pies a day.
01:42In the restaurant, we have five types of pie,
01:44and then we also do a lot for the retail,
01:47so walking from the street.
01:48You can see a big difference in food culture here
01:50with the UK and with the states,
01:52because we focus on savory meat pies.
01:56Show me the pie.
01:57So this is a vegetarian pie here.
01:59Oh my gosh, it's so cute.
02:01I kind of want to wear it.
02:03Savory pies are a British classic.
02:06Think pork pies, sausage rolls, and the like.
02:09Not to mention the cutest pie hole you've ever seen.
02:13I'm in the pie hole!
02:14I think I want the pork pie.
02:18This is the cutest thing ever.
02:22Okay.
02:22See you later.
02:24See you.
02:29Whenever I'm in a new city,
02:31I make it a point to get some shopping in.
02:33London is known for its iconic street style
02:36and fashion risk-taking,
02:37and I needed to check it out for myself.
02:39I decided to explore somewhere special.
02:42The Seven Dials area in Covent Garden.
02:45Neil's Yard is a small alley
02:47full of vibrant colors, characters,
02:49and independent boutiques
02:50where you can absolutely find an extra special souvenir.
02:56You can't come to London without indulging in one of Britain's most famous traditions.
03:01Tea time with a twist.
03:04Welcome to the afternoon tea bus tour.
03:06That's so cool!
03:10This vintage double-decker bus travels around some of the most London-y spots you can think of,
03:14while providing a spot of tea,
03:17crumpets,
03:19cake,
03:21and champagne, if you're down.
03:23Cheers to me!
03:25You know?
03:28It's a solid balance of tourist time.
03:31New game.
03:32We're gonna wave at everyone that passes by.
03:33Hi!
03:34I'm making friends!
03:35And playtime.
03:37Ooh! That was delicious!
03:40Whenever I'm in a new city,
03:41I try to get around via the local public transportation.
03:45Here in London, it's the Tube.
03:47And it's definitely chiquer than any subway in NYC.
03:50I took the Tube Waterloo Line to the North Greenwich Tube Station
03:53and ended up at the Emirates Airline,
03:55a cable car across the river tenants.
03:57Oh my god!
03:59The car was actually built during the Summer 2012 Olympics,
04:02and is now used by locals and tourists alike as a super convenient way to get across the river
04:07and to see so much of London.
04:08Oh god!
04:10The car is quite high, but very worth it.
04:13I'm fine.
04:16London's diverse community is fully reflected in its eclectic food scene.
04:22British food isn't just fish and chips.
04:25There's an international culture here,
04:27and the best Indian food I've ever had.
04:31Dishun features a modern take on Bombay dishes.
04:35Yeah, yeah, yeah!
04:39That was strangely satisfying.
04:42I'd highly recommend basically everything,
04:45but especially the chicken tikka, garlic naan,
04:48oh my god,
04:50and the ochre fries.
04:52Dig in.
04:54That's good stuff!
04:57Before I get too full on all this amazing food,
04:59let's go check out the London nightlife scene.
05:02I've heard it's pretty dope.
05:05Let's go!
05:07Charlotte Street is a popular area with loads of nice bars to check out in London.
05:11But one in particular is hidden to the average bloke.
05:16Who doesn't love a secret bar?
05:18VJ Bar & Lounge is a reservation-only smoothie that focuses on making extensive use of fresh herbs and floral
05:24syrups in their cocktail menu.
05:26VJ Kapoor was an Indian gangster.
05:29Oh!
05:30After perusing the menu, I decided to try out the most extra cocktail they had, called Like a Bird.
05:36It's gin, blood orange, peach liqueur, and is served in a glass bird with a cage.
05:45Always say yes to pink drinks.
05:50Guys, that's some good stuff.
05:53That's some juice.
05:55That'll, that's a, that's a cocktail.
06:01I'm obsessed with London.
06:03It's fast, and fun, and has so much to offer.
06:07The accent alone is reason enough to visit,
06:09or you'll want to stay for the diverse mix of cultures.
06:13So get out there and go discover London for yourself.
06:16See ya!
