00:06Hey guys I'm Tara from Refinery29 and I'm Bethany. So lately I've been obsessed with
00:11the really strong dark brow looks that we've seen on the runway so I asked Bethany here to
00:15come in and show me how to get it right. We're going to start by combing the eyebrows in an
00:19upward motion. This helps us to see the real shape of the eyebrow and expand them a little bit.
00:26Once we have the shape of the brow we can start dabbing in a lighter shade of brow
00:32powder. This is to reinforce the shape by coloring the skin underneath the brow. This is also where
00:39you can fix any mistakes in the brow shape. If you have a little scar or your one brow doesn't
00:47grow
00:47as high as the other just fill this in lightly with this color. Now we're going to comb that color
00:53through with an eyebrow brush. This is the key to making it look natural. The comb just kind of
00:59spreads out the color and makes it look less uniform. This would be perfect for a day look
01:06but if you want to reinforce this color for a stronger brow look you can do this next step.
01:13With a slightly smaller brush use the darker eye color. Make sure to add the color in the direction
01:19that the hair grows. This will give the effect of its hair and not just color. If it looks a
01:26little
01:26too dark at this point don't worry because we're going to comb it out again. Now we're just going
01:31to brush through the brows one more time. We're going to focus on the front of the brow. Make sure
01:37that's squared out and pushed straight up. Even if it looks a little messy this is the look. Add a
01:44little
01:44hair spray to your brush for an extra hold. To polish off this look add a little highlight to the
01:50brow bone
01:50and the inside corners of the eye. Strong brows can be intimidating but with the right technique you
01:56can add an edge to any makeup look.
