00:08Hi, I'm Chloe with Refinery29, and today we'll be making a jeweled collar for all your fall
00:13basics. Let's get started. What you'll need is some felt, scissors, a plastic knife and
00:18bobby pin, something with a round edge, a sharpie and glue, velvet ribbon, and an assortment of
00:23jewels. For your first step, you'll want to take your CD about an inch and a half away from the
00:29edge of the felt, and then go to the top of the CD and about two inches, do a dot
00:34on either side,
00:35and then start drawing all the way around the bottom of the CD. Next, you'll want to draw about
00:42an inch line out on either side, then you'll want to draw a line all the way down to the
00:49bottom to
00:50create a bib shape. Now start cutting out, and you'll want two of these bib shape pieces, so I'm
00:57cutting two at the same time. Next, you'll want to glue the two backsides together, and you'll want
01:04to wait to glue the very end. So now I'm going to take my velvet piece, it's about half a
01:12yard, and stick
01:13the ends between the two pieces of felt, and then you'll want to glue the ribbon between the two pieces
01:20of
01:23belt, and cut the ribbon right at the center, and now you can begin embellishing the front. And I'm using
01:31these little circular flat beads, you can get any craft store. Now I'm going to take these square beads,
01:42and do a sort of geometric pattern on the front. And I find it helpful to use a bobby pin,
01:47I'll put the
01:48smaller jewels on. Now just keep putting your jewels down until the whole front of the collar is
01:53covered. And then once you're happy with the design, you want to let it sit for about 24 hours and
02:02set,
02:03and then you're ready to wear.
