00:28as a child bruce wayne watched as his parents were brutally killed in gotham city's crime alley
00:32traumatized by their deaths he devoted his life to becoming the world's greatest weapon against
00:36crime the batman to become the ultimate vigilante the dark knight disciplined his mind and body to
00:42reach the pinnacle of mental and physical superiority in his relentless pursuit of justice
00:46bruce yes may have the same body but with the changes made now to this new batman is he worth
00:51picking up we're going to be hopefully answering that over the course of this review if first you
00:56need the necessary 411 of how tall this batman's going to be factoring of course in the fact he's
01:01got a brand new head sculpt let's get things going first with that as for how tall batman's going to
01:05be i seem to be clocking this guy in at around seven inches maybe just a little more than that
01:10that's going to translate to a figure that's about 18 centimeters tall i do still put this batman in
01:15high regard this is one of my all-time favorite batmans we've gotten from todd and his team
01:19this is the nightfall batman it isn't just the case though that the new batman world's finest has
01:24now a brand new head sculpt it also sports now a fabric cape and a different utility belt
01:28they have also added some shadowing that you may already be able to see in the cowl and also in
01:33his
01:33trunks that wasn't on this release however though they did re-release this figure again with that
01:38additional shadowing he was part of a convention exclusive most of the new stuff for batman are the
01:43things that are on his body don't really be looking at the lay of the land and expecting much in
01:47new things the figure does technically come in clear with a new card so i guess that's saying
01:51something the world's finest does have both batman and superman superman has unfortunately
01:57lost his his flight batman seems to have gotten it though instead the back of the card doesn't have
02:04anything new to be honest i feel like i could have almost even closed my eyes not looked at the
02:09card
02:09and been able to recite this from memory as that's a read-up we've gotten countless times of the years
02:14and
02:14lineage of the dc multiverse every time it tends to be a batman and it's not a batman necessarily
02:18that's attached to one specific story it always seems to go and be lining back to this exact same
02:24description i found myself even as i was reading this off at the beginning of the review that as
02:30again i got to parts and sentences i could say to myself oh that's what he's going to say next
02:34and
02:35literally verbatimly that is the exact same read-up as previous batman cards different front
02:41new back or i guess that would be new front different back anyways let's move that off to
02:45the side cut me some slack the figure does also come included though with a display stand it's got
02:50now the dc logo branded down below in white walking distance from that pretty close to the car if
02:56you're inside the bat cave i mean batman has to be close enough to the car so he can hop
02:59in there and
03:00go and fight the penguin or whatever it may be the peg hole is there still that can plug into
03:05the
03:05either one of batman's boots he gets stuff now that any any one of these things are things i'm
03:10sure we've seen before batman has first of all a closed fist on this side a gripping hand on this
03:16side if for some reason you wanted to flip that around then he essentially would have a closed fist
03:23hand on this side with this hand here and then he would also have the mirror flip of this hand
03:27for
03:27this side with a gripping hand over here to change out the hands uh let's go ahead actually we'll keep
03:33the gripping hand on this side because i only really need to demonstrate with one pop the hand
03:37quite easily off take your now gripping hand and plug it back in place and now batman has the means
03:43to hold a multitude of accessories well technically he really only has one accessory uh he also does have
03:50now you could either say that that's melon squishing hands batman doesn't seem to squish much melons
03:55lately it also seems like he has plotting hands he's thinking of himself right now i'm short on
04:01sidekicks right now who who can i find in gotham streets i could turn him into a sidekick i don't
04:08know i'm sure there's a robin just waiting to be found plotting plotting plotting but anyways he does
04:13have like mauling fighting hands these hands don't really feel like they belong to be honest with this
04:18figure and then he also comes included with a very small batarang now i i'm going to choose my words
04:24carefully then i'm not going to say oh man this batarang is way too small because if you had
04:30rewound back and looked at some of my earlier reviews i had commented that the utility belt
04:35batarangs were way too big giant mustache frisbees you still look like mustaches to be fair
04:41but they're a whole lot smaller previous batmans the nightfall batman had this i believe also too
04:47the san diego san diego comic-con batman had the very same batarang now because of course we've
04:53swapped out the hands we can really choose either hand we don't have to be so specific you can put
04:58it
04:58into this batman's hand i mean it is on the small side but it has to honestly now be able
05:02to fit
05:02inside his utility belt and even then there's not anywhere to be found it's all like little tiny
05:08little compartments for pills gas capsules and that's about it so we're just going to have to
05:13use our imagination or if he is like adam west batman you just sort of tuck it between the back
05:18of his utility belt and the cape and nobody would ever really question otherwise maybe let's question
05:23some of the things that are changed for batman you could decide for yourself if the changes were
05:27worth it the biggest one really being is the fact that batman's now got a brand new head sculpt
05:32i'm just gonna grab the other previous batman i mean if you followed along this channel how many
05:37times have i brought this guy in and said like he is one of my still favorite batmans changes i
05:43feel
05:44perhaps positive i do think that i like the head sculpt on the new figure does it replace now the
05:50original batman maybe because now he has the benefit of course the fabric capes that's always really a
05:56plus i think the head sculpt is good there's something that's off about it and i can't quite
06:01put what what really it is i like that it has shadowing i think those are all nice additional
06:06touches it really does for me look like the old kind of superpowers merchandise that would have been
06:11around back in the day or like even the original comics stuff from the 80s like i'm just going back
06:16to looking at the world's finest card here batman just had like a blue cowl with a whole lot of
06:20shadowing on the front i think this does that well i don't know if there's something about maybe his
06:26mouth that's throwing it off for me it doesn't really also help either that because he's using
06:30the original batman body this batman body was fine when the head sculpt's cowl size was literally the
06:37same size and thickness as the neck the moment you start to change the head size though it makes his
06:44neck look scrawny and i think that's maybe one of the things that's also throwing it off for me on
06:48this
06:48figure had it been the case that the neck was either wider or the face was a little thinner
06:54maybe it wouldn't look like it literally just looks like an extra new batman head on top of a body
06:58which
06:59basically really it is the head sculpt is good but i feel like maybe again like the width of the
07:04neck
07:04could have really improved upon this figure now i know that that would have involved some new
07:08additional tooling but if you also really look at this too the fabric cape has to technically go
07:14underneath this neck piece so that in mind could they not have maybe just used a wider neck appliance
07:20just so that it would look a little bit better balanced to the width of batman's head
07:24he seems also like he's a little bit more tanned than previous batmans before or maybe not
07:29the mouth seems also a little off to me and it's like batman really has like a really large chin
07:35now
07:35it's like jay leno is playing batman here he's got some additional shadowing also here underneath the
07:40neck so they've kept that somewhat consistent i don't know maybe it's not really the chin so much
07:45that's bothering me maybe again like if the neck was wider it would better balance i think all the
07:50rest of batman's face sculpt here maybe that's what it is what's also now changed too is that he's
07:55got a brand new bat symbol now what's interesting though is i thought the bat symbol was actually
08:00sculpted in place but it looks like they actually just tempographed it printed the logo over top of
08:06just a bare chest but because again like this isn't the first time i mean this really isn't the
08:10first time that this batman body has been used it's been used a couple of times with other dc
08:14characters but this one actually does have the marker where his bat mark was actually a sculpted
08:20appliance see how it actually is higher than the rest of his chest this batman good or bad some
08:27actually may like the idea that this isn't lifted from the rest of his chest this just it's not a
08:32sticker but it's been printed onto the body so it's it's basically just smooth against the skin
08:37or smooth against his suit utility belt is also something that's now different so this one now
08:43actually has a place where it looks like batman could do up his belt i'm not really sure how batman
08:48actually snaps this in place it probably is just like a bat belt buckle that snaps over top of itself
08:54whereas this one actually does now look like batman actually has to sit down and try even harder
08:59to put his bat belt on before he leaves still there's not very many pockets i mean again it's
09:04only mostly just small little capsules no large compartment spaces certainly not to accommodate
09:10big or small a batarane he does also have some additional shadowing there on the front for his belt
09:15this batman never had it although the convention exclusive did i like that it's actually only here and
09:22that it's still blue on the sides i found like if anything this batman had maybe too much of it
09:27and of course this batman did also have the black and the cowl but see how this is as just
09:31as wide
09:32as the neck this looks properly balanced this batman maybe because of that his head just looks
09:37maybe a little too big the shadowing really is only on the trunks and it's only on the neck and
09:42the
09:42cowl it's not anywhere to be found on the gloves and it's certainly not also on the boots the coloring
09:48of the costume is about really the same as the other nightfall batman so it doesn't really look like
09:52they've darkened the colors at all i think also with the convention exclusive it was a little bit
09:57darker maybe maybe this gray could have also worked a little bit better to this with this batman instead
10:03of going with the lighter gray that they went with now for this batman's articulation it's just because
10:09again like changes were made here here additional coloring fabricate everything else really retains the
10:15same when it comes to his posability so his head's going to be on a ball joint head rotates all
10:20the way
10:20around looks down and up back and forth no issues there top of the torso is going to be on
10:25a ball
10:25joint and with that goes a fairly fluent looking batman where you can do a lot with it the lower
10:31end of his abdomen also does the same arms rotate all the way around these arms as well you can
10:37hinge
10:37forward and back just a little bit though swivel in his bicep double hinge on the elbow the hands
10:42rotate all the way around i'm just going to interrupt my train of thought before i finish the rest of
10:47the
10:47figures possibility i also really think i i like the blue the blue is also one thing it's a little
10:53bit more of a richer blue i mean it's so very subtle but it seems like it's maybe just a
10:59little
10:59more of a richer blue than the previous nightfall batman i really like the color that they chose
11:03where were we oh yes the legs legs move forward and back they also move out splits like that almost
11:10for a second sounded like i broke batman's legs no batman's only gets his back break broken not
11:15not his legs moves forward and back and out so swivel there at the top of the thigh double hinge
11:20again on the knees there's no articulation here for the boot it's just once again a continued sculpt
11:24from the rest of the calf ankle moves up and down ankle rocks back and forth toe articulation as well
11:29and let's not of course overlook the fact the figure does have now a really cool looking cape
11:35it's pretty wide as well and it's sewn seamed in there the additional wiring so of course you can
11:41also manipulate the cape as well it's definitely a good looking cape on batman it enhances already
11:47what was already a good batman in the first place the question really then becomes is there
11:51enough changes made to this batman let's say you've already been dedicate dedicately
11:57dedicately i'm just making a mess of that if you have been very faithfully collecting that makes
12:02better sense if you've been faithfully collecting this batman mold is there enough changes made to now
12:08this one that you could still keep these ones i'm not necessarily saying you have to discard and
12:13throw these away but if there is changes now made to this batman does it warrant picking them up
12:17if yeah you already have these two and you already love these two i would say yes i like that
12:24the bat
12:24symbol is larger so that's already a good thing i love that he's got now a fabric cape i like
12:29the the
12:30face the head but it does seem like there's something really off on it i don't know again if it's
12:34just
12:35that he has too much chin maybe there's just too much chin on batman's face but i think again i
12:40i
12:40said this already maybe the neck needed to be wider just to now allow for the fact that they're
12:45sculpting not just a different face sculpt but also one that's notably bigger than the previous two
12:50before this is one of those few times where i actually was able to find this figure out in the
12:55wild i had gone to a mall that i don't generally go to and i happened just to go to
12:59the walmart there
13:00just to see what they had sitting on the shelves currently as i sort of looked at you know again
13:04the lay
13:04of the land and what they currently had in stock i just happened to look up for a second and
13:09spotted
13:10something that said world's finest well it seemed like maybe it was probably a collector that didn't
13:15have the money at the time sort of just stashed away this batman because it was the only one that
13:19was there at the time and i know this is a slightly more older figure but seeing it in the
13:24wild is
13:24something that happens very few and far between here for me generally a lot of times i'm either having
13:29to buy these things from ebay or sites that are stocking dc multiverse so already it was a batman
13:35that i wanted at some point and i was maybe willing to wait it out until eventually i found one
13:40for a
13:40decent price but then on top of that to find this and pay retail for it well i could tell
13:45you right
13:45away it didn't wait that long on the shelf uh i threw it right away into the cart and i
13:50checked it
13:50out right away checking this guy out right away shortly after picking up this figure yeah there are
13:55there are changes there there are enough drastic changes made between this batman and the previous
14:01ones that i think are still worth picking this guy up for the longest time i know and collectors
14:06probably can agree with this as well when you have a collection of characters on your shelf you may be
14:12looking right away at figures and think okay that's a permanent placed figure that one likely won't be
14:17replaced but then there's always sort of ones that you know are only just filling in a spot on that
14:22shelf until quote the better one comes around i have said this frequently i know on this channel
14:28with different batmans this is kind of now the best batman that i have on my shelf and as quickly
14:33as i say that it gets replaced out with another batman it always seemed to be though that i always
14:38went back to the nightfall batman as the go-to and there's probably again a reason why i always brought
14:43that figure in for comparisons because it was always one of my favorite batmans it did a lot of things
14:48right it checked a lot of the boxes for why i wanted to be the best batman this maybe does
14:53change
14:53some of the elements but it changes at least for the positive there is again the problem with the
14:59head being way too big i think a lot of it again can be contributed to just having a slightly
15:03more
15:03thinner neck that that throws the proportions off it definitely has more kind of like the 80s batman
15:09vibe going for it it certainly does also help too that it's got the additional shadowing on the cowl
15:14the neck and also on the trunks it has the benefit of also the larger emblem on his chest a
15:19new and
15:19improved utility belt and now a fabric cape that's a lot of boxes being checked to this being probably
15:25the best batman that i'm going to have right now is that going to change it probably still will as
15:31a
15:31new batman gets released before we get the end of the lineage of the dc multiverse but for this one
15:36being really reusing a lot of the same body as not just other batmans because that this body you could
15:43look at you know probably a lot of your figures that you have from dc multiverse and say okay
15:46yeah that uses the nightfall batman body yeah that one uses wildcat is another good example that uses
15:52this bat body but again like this one really is a good looking batman and i'm glad to finally not
15:57just finally find him but finding finally finding him for retail price too what do you guys think of

16:25technically too because this is also using the same bat body i tried to do it it didn't really come

16:35nightfall batman if you like the changes on this one and you just don't like the head if you guys
