00:00So we're up here on the windy Surfer's Paradise Esplanade, and we've run into Thomas, Harakrishna
00:07monk, and you're showing us these really special books that you've got.
00:11Yeah.
00:11So what are they?
00:12Well, so the Bhagavad Gita has 18 chapters.
00:15Yeah.
00:15But 100 years after that, there was 18 books.
00:18There was one conversation that was recorded on the bank of the Ganges.
00:21Oh, wow.
00:22A king was sentenced to seven days left to live.
00:26He was cursed.
00:27Okay.
00:27So he gave up his kingdom, he gave up his material obligations, and he went to the bank of the
00:31Ganges
00:32and he heard about transcendental topics that a person needs to know before they leave their body.
00:38So from the first canto to the fourth canto, the last volume, it all describes everything
00:43you need to know before you leave your body.
00:45I did not know that there were so many.
00:48I thought the Bhagavad Gita, is that how you say it?
00:50The Bhagavad Gita.
00:51The Bhagavad Gita.
00:52I thought it was just the one.
00:54The Bhagavad Gita is a 700 verse summary of all the Vedas, which is over 10 billion verses.
01:02I didn't know that.
01:03This is an 18,000 verse summary of all the Vedas.
01:06Very interesting.
01:08It describes the process of devotional service or bhakti yoga.
01:11And so you've got all the books here, like a whole collection.
01:16Yeah, I don't go anywhere without it.
01:18Yeah.
01:18Because, you know, just every now and then we meet a very special soul who is ready to take it.
01:26It's not very often that we meet someone, but when we do, it's worth all those other times
01:30to be carrying around, to be carrying box.
01:32Wonderful.
01:32It's a spiritual recyclopedia.
01:34It covers everything you need to know from reincarnation to karma to all the different topics and
01:40sages throughout all the time.
01:42Well, thank you very much for sharing that with us.
01:45And hold on to your hat up here because it's really windy.
01:48Yeah, yeah.
01:49It's a little handy thing right here.
01:51You've got a lovely place to be, though, here in Surfers Paradise, don't you?
01:55And we love the Hare Kushner months, like the music that you bring to the Esplanade, the
02:00good vibes.
02:01Like, we always really appreciate seeing you guys as well.
