00:00All right, Joe. So looking back at the game that was, they're talking about their communication
00:05being better in the secondary. And I know that we're all doing the dance where it's,
00:11all right, how good was it? What would you expect? You know, they win a game by 26 where they
00:16play a
00:16scout team quarterback. So, you know, the 36 to me is the sign of a good offense. The defense,
00:21I don't really know what to do with. What do you feel comfortable taking away from that game?
00:27Yeah, I think four things. And of course, everybody knows they played a third string
00:31quarterback. It's an undrafted. Like you said, I think the best way to put it, Jeremy, is he played
00:34a scout team quarterback, right? He was Josh Allen all week, and then he had to go be the starter
00:38for the Ravens, right? Four things. First of all, Jim Leonard in the booth. I thought his remarks on
00:45that were pretty candid, talking about how he had an emotionally mature coaching staff and team. And,
00:51you know, he took that early season opportunity to be on the sideline and leverage being
00:56able to look guys in the face. But when he's up in the booth, he can be in the lab
00:59and things can
01:01be more organized for him and get the things that he wants to get to. And he doesn't have to
01:05rely on
01:05other people to say things about, you know, what the other team is doing. And so I think that put
01:10him in a position to call a better game. He acknowledged that. So I think that's helpful
01:14moving forward. Number two is you had personnel changes. You did get a look with Damar Hamlin as the
01:21starter. You had two different nickel packages, one with the Corey couch, one with Gino stone.
01:25I think that's a good wrinkle to build off of. And then you had a 33 percentage point increase in
01:30both man coverage and blitz rate. And the one thing that I talked all week about during the
01:34buy and like, what's the problem with the defense? It was that in a nutshell, it was passive and
01:39predictable. They were running a ton of zone that was passive. It wasn't disguised and they weren't
01:44blitzing. They weren't doing anything to make life difficult for the quarterback. And so they're just
01:48taking free access all over the place. It's compounded by having blown coverages all over,
01:52assignment issues. And so, yeah, they played a scout offense, but they did do things differently
02:00that I think are positives for the direction moving forward. And look, I mean, they're playing
02:05this Minnesota. The offense is not really that good. They didn't get the jets and the dolphins.
02:10So like, sorry, great offenses aren't coming, but I think playing better matters, getting some
02:16confidence, right? Like I'm sure that matters. Like that'll help build over the next few weeks as
02:21opposed to, Oh no, here we go again. We can't stop them. We can't help the offense get the
02:25confidence. You're going, trying some different things in a lot of different ways. And it gives
02:31you something to build off moving forward. There's a reason today to be more optimistic
02:34about this bill's defense than there was a week ago.
