00:11had he's in germany getting treatments for knee rehabilitation trying some more stuff that he's
00:16not quite there then huh you know when they go to germany it's for that next level stuff that's
00:21not allowed in the u.s the stem cells the blood the whatever i don't know what it is so

00:30that he's able to come back at some point in december um i think that that's what the talk is
00:35about uh uh i'm pretty sure it probably kansas city's in the mix whether or not it's i i think
00:43that the fact that he would make it back after suffering what was called a career threatening
00:49injury um that'd be amazing i'm with it'd be a miracle in itself and there are certainly teams
00:55that could benefit from tyree kill the question is how healthy will he be yes yep uh he's a physical
01:01freak though i know the doctors uh all those guys that worked on him said man he is amazing to

01:08back and uh what he's put into this to even be in this situation is incredible what he's been able

01:15do all right so uh let's go back 13 three at the half a lot of good things going on

01:21and everything then the second half drake may kind of took the game over the three touchdowns um
01:26i don't know if it's drake may took the game over i think miami lost their composure uh you had

01:31three-point lead before ollie got that that really costly penalty um then then you you allowed a touchdown
01:39score then the next play then the next drive you throw an interception when malik has a ball come
01:46off hit off another player's helmet um and and then they scored again all of a sudden the three-point
01:52lead in midway through the third quarter turns into a 10-point deficit yeah you know and but this
01:59is what really good teams yeah this is you make a mistake and look like drake may got a little

02:04time to throw in the second half and and he took some made some big throws down the field um

02:11the guys we got guys getting getting better in spurts you know making some plays you want to see
02:16more consistency out of uh out of the young guys i thought the offensive line so they looked really
02:23good against the jets they had their best game and i thought jonah especially some of those guys
02:28really don't blame it on jonah brewer probably had his worst game of the season um you clearly see
02:35what the absence of caden proctor is oh that was that was big yeah yeah um you know i don't
02:41think
02:41the tackles played horribly but they just killed you on the interior of that defensive line now now
02:46obviously the conditions of the game and and and the style of the runner i think we also have to
02:51realize teams are adjusting to who holly gordon is and they're probably going to play miami differently
02:57um it would be nice if you had an outside zone running back or or maybe ollie caught passes out
03:03the backfield you know right now it's it's all these power back and teams are playing you like
03:08he's a power back and and you didn't you didn't have the ability to exert your will on teams like
03:13you had previously now will that be something that they adjust to or will that be the new norm for
03:19the miami dolphins we we honestly don't know because everything's so new and fresh i know one thing
03:24that defensive line that rotation is pretty strong for the patriots those guys yeah they got after
03:30pretty good there's there's no question it was nothing was easy in that game is a weird game
03:35because malik willis they had a slow start couldn't get a first down and then they got it rolling and
03:40he made some really good throws then the third quarter same thing couldn't get the first down and
03:45everything was kind of going against them and then they pick it back up in the fourth quarter so
03:50it's about more consistency i'd like to see us still get caleb douglas and greg dolcich the ball
03:56a little bit more like we do we got it to him a little bit later but not early in
04:00the game i i you
04:02know it's funny joe i watch it all the time when i'm looking at other games you know the it's
04:07weird
04:07that i'd be complaining about this the the dump off the quick little hitches and and passes wheel routes
04:14to backs where do those go like we don't have those anymore nothing is easy from leak nothing
04:20is an easy completion from leak um i would love to see them incorporate that more into the offense
04:26uh yeah i i did like the screen game stuff with chris bell i think that that he's got upside

04:34that um i think kevin coleman jr is having a a a pretty productive year especially considering
04:40not a lot of people expected him to be a a major contributor and here he is he's got two
04:45touchdowns on the season but but yeah absolutely you you caleb douglas and greg they're your two
04:52top offensive weapons and it would be nice if they were treated that way or or your game plan for
04:58them
04:58yeah i thought malik by the way malik washington ran one of the great i've been all hung up that

05:05he ran in the end zone was one of the great routes i've seen in a long long time started
05:11in and able
05:12with his quickness and athletic feet that he had quick feet came out of that break came outside and
05:19and came back to the ball to make it a nice easy throw from malik willis for the touchdown
05:23we don't see that a lot it was just really refreshing to see getting him isolated malik's quietly had a
05:30really nice season he really has i know he probably feels like he didn't get enough respect
05:34uh because we talked so much about the young guys and you know it more than i do but
05:38malik's having a really good season man he's on pace for 60 65 70 catches yeah uh you mentioned it
05:45and
05:46i didn't even think about it um yeah a little pause there what's going on no i'm i'm gonna do
05:55much for
05:59it's it's it's you gotta have it you gotta have a guy like that expectations it's exceeding my
06:04expectations but how many teams would he be be the number one receiver for i don't even that but
06:09the fact that we got a slot guy that's productive in his toughness and i got a lot of respect
06:15the way
06:15handled getting a crap knocked out of him i want a cheap shot going across and and wanted to get
06:20right
06:20back in the game um yeah i think there's a spot for him going forward and what he does and
06:26and the
06:27thing the catches he makes and keeping drives alive i'm not saying i want him running a bunch of takeoffs
06:32on the outside you got other guys to do that but i think there's a good position for him i
06:39and i
06:39honestly thought he and dulcet would have the most catches receptions on the team would be one and two
06:45which may end up happening to me it's it's interesting that chris bell and um caleb douglas
06:51they both got 13 and 12 receptions on the season um they both can do so much more um have
06:58so much
06:58more potential and and i can't ignore that whenever i see the ball go to malik washington um i i
07:06is malik
07:06a slot is he a slot is he a 800 yard receiver you know i just have my questions concerns
07:15and and if if that's the case and i get it he's the most savvy experienced receiver on your team
07:21but you're completing less than 59 you're completing 59 of your passes you're you're not
07:26that good third downs you're not that good in the red zone like uh you you maybe you should
07:32seek better options or better opportunities better play calls everything has to get better for this
07:38team to start to turn the corner offensively um yeah they're running the ball consistently
07:44that's great uh we'll see if that changes now that teams have adjusted to how they're playing
07:49ollie gordon and we'll see if they have a counter for that that that that's really what the nfl game
07:54is about you know when teams adjust to what you're doing do you have a counter yeah i just think

07:59uh obviously we just disagree on the importance of of this guy you gotta have a guy like this he'll

08:04the dirty work that you can trust that you can throw in as a third running back that knows every
08:08position like that you count on that you know where he's gonna be he he he listen a guy runs

08:15routes um and i get the upside is the young guys i'm not disagreeing with that but man omar you

08:21gotta have a guy like this you gotta have a tough son of a gun like he is and and
08:26things that malik can
08:26do and i i think i'm guessing he feels disrespected to start with with with everything going on you're
08:34around him more than i am but uh i i really paid attention and maybe that's my bad it's just
08:44you know i i would i would love for any he's been impressed he's been solid he's been solid i

08:50you know how many teams would he be the leading receiver in the nfl for i know but but we
08:56can't do
08:56you can't do that because this is all young guys this is like everybody blames malik for everything
09:00like he's not getting caleb and these guys the ball more like hey man these this is brand new
09:06stuff we've never had a team this young and everybody you know and i'm seeing they're all
09:10getting better they are getting better running better routes doing things i think bobby sloak's
09:15doing there i'm not even hating on bobby sloak i think bobby sloak's doing everything he can
09:20to figure ways to you know get first downs and get everybody the ball but man i i've i've never

09:27around such a young offensive i don't mean i don't need to get everybody the ball i need to
09:31get the talented players the ball and i'm not seeing them i agree with that no no i i'd still
09:36like to see caleb caleb douglas would be still be on that list i i'm with you i don't want

09:42get two three four 15 yard out to caleb douglas all day long uh and i don't know maybe it's

09:47developmental time i don't know if they have the time for that play to develop i you know what i

09:52to see drags i want to see drags where are the drags i i like where where where are the

10:00where where are the wheel routes like make things easier from league willis and he's a much better
10:05quarterback than he's shown so far i think he's only pretty much had one good game this season
10:11like he he's better than that i think again i i think the jets game plan was a great one

10:20we got away from part of that where we couldn't get him outside the pocket and let him run a
10:25few
10:25times he didn't have the runs that we've seen in some of the other games i just think this is

10:31just everybody getting to know everybody and figuring out what you have and you don't have i thought the
10:36offensive line really struggled in this last game they did and when they struggle it's hard for malik to
10:41look you know the way we want them to look where were the design runs though where where where where
10:48were the design runs i i like what do you mean by design runs what do you mean by that
10:53just quarterback runs uh and maybe maybe i want some rpo i i i'm not i'm not very pleased with

11:00offense in any aspect of it to be honest with you yeah no no it's got it's it's still got
11:06to get you
11:07got to see more guys making plays like we did at the end of the game and when he hits
11:11the deep pass
11:12and no no i i'm with you we do need to make and i love he got dulcet there made
11:17a nice throw to him
11:18on a on a route where he goes up and gets it for a second straight week and it was
11:22a nice play but we
11:23we need to see more of that hey real quickly here while uh while i'm on this thing um more

11:29lewis you think coming as he gets more comfortable i think he's one of their going to be one of

11:35better cover guys on tight ends down the road here what what do you think absolutely um why not
11:41um i i think at some point they're going to get train more back too um we add two more
11:46rookies to
11:46the equation and see let them learn and let them grow um that's what this season is about and
11:53kyle lewis if he can stop tight ends that or he can defend tight ends that would definitely be
11:59some somebody that can address a major issue that you've had this season there's been a lot of talk
12:04about chris johnson we we talked about all the different picks and how good rodriguez is and
12:09caden proctor how good what's been your take on chris johnson i know he whiffed badly took a bad
12:15angle like he thought um the drake may was going to step up and he was going to time it
12:20hitting him
12:21and he ends up not any you know it's bad angle should have been a sack for him what's been
12:26your
12:26take on chris johnson's play i love how he's played um i think he's a short tackler i like his
12:32coverage that's not you you i don't have any single complaint about his game i don't have a
12:37single complaint about caden proctor um jacob rodriguez i'd love if he was coverage a little
12:43bit better um who else is some of these rookies uh how are you on michael taff
12:53um not a cover guy by the way i know what you're gonna say i i i'll say he's got
12:58two picks but not
12:59a cover guy but he's a tough tough son of a gun bam which i think they like in his
13:03communication
13:04he's scrappy intelligent yeah um he's a hustler i like his personality um i right now i i i have
13:13to
13:13figure out or they have to figure out is he an nfl starter is he just a fill-in-in
13:17starter well
13:18that's what this year's all about man congratulations right there you just hit what it's about for all
13:22these guys in year one and year two and speaking of year two i leave you with this one kenneth

13:28two games very quiet what's uh we we try to get kenneth grant more into the game plan here and
13:34get
13:34more into the rotation jordan phillips coming off pretty good game man he got in a lot of plays i
13:39thought he looked pretty good in there with biggers and sealer are we going to see more grant in the
13:44rotation and getting more snaps going forward absolutely i would love to see me figure out
13:51who he is after two years here coming up do we joe are we going to have this argument that
13:56we always
13:57have about you over evaluating a first round pick and over evaluating their most important picks your
14:02franchise picks are number one picks they call them franchise picks they just don't always
14:06number one picks they don't have to necessarily be franchise players they're just not most most of
14:15the starting quarterbacks in the nfl they're good quarterbacks that's a different that's a different
14:18conversation no no you look at a lot of great players and they're all a lot of them are first
14:22round picks you like to hit there's a reason we pay them big fat signing bonuses when they
14:26and their life changes okay and now are they no look at i and i said this yesterday you're right
14:33jordan phillips a fifth round pick and he's playing better than the first biggest is a seventh round
14:38pick he's playing better everybody's playing better than kent grant hasn't been around much
14:43it's all he's off to a he's just coming back it's the second game he's in training camp mode let's
14:48check back two weeks later from now i i don't see an issue is he is he gonna you can't
14:55have your team
14:56going around with five sixes and sevens better than ones and twos you can't you're you can't i'm sorry
15:02he's not the only guy that says that i go by my teams a.j dewey and bob bombaron kimbo

15:08and dan marino and and mark duper second round pick those guys are some of our best players
15:14okay john geisler those guys all those guys when we hit they hit on a whole bunch of high picks
15:21bob bomb i say him i probably said him twice um a caleb douglas is a third round pick he's

15:27the best that's that's pretty good pick i mean i probably the best rookie you have the guy who might
15:32have statistically the best season is is jacob rogerie a second round pick maybe after him
15:36michael taff a fifth round pick i don't care joe proctor is going to be an impact offensive lineman
15:43and he's your number one pick and that's what number one picks look like okay and chris johnson
15:48doesn't have the number one pick and and i think he's going to be really good yeah i think he's
15:53going
15:53to be really good too but is he is he clearly heading shoulders better than juju brintz probably not
15:59but i gotta tell you man you start missing on ones and twos not just quarterback but ones and
16:03twos in general and you make it you you ain't gonna live a roster of fours five sixes and sevens
16:09i'm just telling you you show me a roster and you go wow look at this man we got ones
16:15and twos
16:15aren't very good but man we hit on a whole bunch of threes fours five sixes and sevens
16:21undrafted players that's the dolphins way man that but that's old dolphins this is new dolphins now we
16:27now we got 15 rookies playing and we're trying to catch up real quickly and hit on a whole bunch
16:33of young guys you're right hey uh omar thank you appreciate it man how's everything else you're
16:37good you're good i'm great joe i'm phenomenal everything in the rooms are good and stuff all
