00:02One of the last Senate races still up for grabs, with a ballot controversy adding an extra twist.
00:08Republican Senator Dan Sullivan and Democrat Mary Peltola are locked in a close race, with about two-thirds of the
00:14vote counted.
00:15And even when the remaining ballots come in, we may still have to wait.
00:19Alaska uses ranked-choice voting.
00:21If no candidate gets more than 50 percent of first-choice votes, election officials will count voters' next choices to
00:27determine the winner.
00:27That tabulation is scheduled for November 18th.
00:30And remember the controversy over two Dan Sullivans appearing on the ballot?
00:34So far, the other Dan Sullivan, retired teacher Dan J. Sullivan, has picked up less than 2 percent of the
00:41vote.
00:42Republicans alleged his candidacy was meant to confuse voters.
00:45Peltola denies knowing about any such plan.
