00:00We're going to do our own show next week.
00:01It's just going to be me and Bobby.
00:02You know, human beings learn best and most from other human beings.
00:07Keep your friends close, but your enemies close.
00:10Oh boy.
00:11Nate Newton was right this weekend.
00:15So last week I talked to, we were doing Cowboys cross talk and I'd asked the question.
00:22I said, same thing we talked about with Nick Eatman.
00:24I said, Hey, is this the most important light?
00:28Like, is this stretch of three or four games going to tell us whether or not they can
00:34actually do anything this season?
00:35Or like, do you determine that later on in the year?
00:38But basically the stretch of, if you can't beat Arizona Indy and then be competitive against
00:43San Francisco, you're probably not doing anything.
00:46Well, Nate got worked up by that.
00:49And Nate was saying one game at a time.
00:52I know he's just, I can't, I can't, I have to, I hope it gets on that white Tennessee shirt.
00:58I've seen a girl look like that before.
00:59Why do you have to drink it all in a two minute span?
01:04Why do you have to chug it all so quickly?
01:07Why can't you just sip it through the segment?
01:09What, what is it?
01:12It's my protein.
01:13My God.
01:14Have you seen him just chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, chug.
01:18Get down.
01:19Is it nasty?
01:20Uh, actually it's quite good.
01:22Smell it.
01:22It's a cafe latte.
01:25He's got this Coke bag sitting here and I'm just like, why do you, you do it with water.
01:31It's like, you just have to chug it.
01:33Yeah.
01:33I don't like to have it.
01:36I have something.
01:37I have to get rid of it.
01:37Do you go one scoop to like the dome or do you mix it?
01:40Oh, I don't, I don't do the, I don't dry scoop it.
01:42My kid does that.
01:43I can't do that.
01:44That's disgusting.
01:45That's flat out disgusting.
01:46We got that.
01:47We got Bobby phone calls and texts in this commercial break.
01:49I got the dreaded popcorn kernel stuck on the very, that's the worst.
01:54That's my nightmare.
01:55It won't move.
01:56It won't move because it's stuck.
01:57And I'm like, coffee, I already have a little bit of a cough from my house.
02:01So, it's awful.
02:03I don't know.
02:03You try to switch everything around back there.
02:05Can you get the finger down there to scrape it off or is it too far down?
02:09I would gag, I think.
02:10I hated that dipstick.
02:12I thought one time doing that.
02:13With your finger?
02:14Yeah, it was like, because I was digging back there and the nail like ended up cutting
02:17my throat and I was coughing blood.
02:19The popcorn is a broadcaster's worst nightmare.
02:22Mm-hmm.
02:24Worst nightmare.
02:25I should chug.
02:26Yeah.
02:27Protein drink.
02:27All right.
02:28So, Nate was talking about, I had asked about that stretch and said like, is this the most
02:32important stretch of the year for them?
02:34Like, will this determine your season?
02:36And Nate was saying, no, you take it one game at a time.
02:39You only focus on one game at a time.
02:40I was like, I'm not previewing the other teams or assuming you beat this one.
02:43I was just saying, what do you think here?
02:46Well, then, as I mean, it was the second the field goal for Arizona went through the uprights
02:54that bling, I looked down at my phone and it's Nate texting in all caps, one game at a time.
03:00I was like, I was not disagreed with you.
03:03Yeah.
03:03So, but with that thought process in mind, we're sitting there Wednesday night.
03:08Ask Nate.
03:08I say, you got a chance to watch Indy?
03:10He goes, yep.
03:11And I said, what do you think?
03:14What do you think about Cowboys chances?
03:15And he goes, there comes a point sometimes when you're watching tape where you just, you got to turn it
03:23off.
03:24And you got to turn it off.
03:25And you just got to say, we just need to beat this team.
03:30Yeah.
03:30He's like, they're bad.
03:32He said, they're, they're, they're bad.
03:34And I was like, okay, for Nate to come off of a week of one game at a time.
03:37And now he's going, I'm turning off the film in the middle of it because they're that bad.
03:41And they are.
03:43They're, they're that bad.
03:44I'm just going, la, la, la, la.
03:46I don't want to hear it.
03:47Yeah.
03:47Now you're bad too.
03:48And you can lose to them because you can.
03:50They have better weapons, way better weapons than Arizona.
03:54And they, they probably have better weapons than Tampa Bay.
03:58Warren, who I love, Downs and Taylor.
04:02They can't block and their quarterback's worse.
04:04Okay.
04:05Well, we can't, we can't rush.
04:07Well, we can't, we can't destroy an offensive line.
04:10Neither can this team.
04:11This team cannot rush either.
04:12In fact, I was watching and just going like, gosh, they do not get after, after the quarterback
04:16at all.
04:17And this is before you even traded DeForest Buckner.
04:19But I'm watching this and go like, they don't get after the quarterback at all.
04:22So I was looking at pressure rates while we were in the break.
04:24I was like, what is their pressure rate exactly?
04:27Their pressure rate is 26 and a half percent this season.
04:32That's the worst in the NFL.
04:3631st is the New Orleans Saints at 31.4%.
04:41Five percentage points ahead of Indianapolis.
04:45You go, okay, but what does that mean to me?
04:47I don't know how much pressure people get.
04:48The gap between the Saints at 31 and the Browns at 13 is bigger than the gap between 31 and
04:5732 with the Colts and the Saints.
04:59The Colts are that far away from the second worst team pressuring in the NFL this year
05:05that if you gave the same discrepancy to New Orleans, New Orleans would be the 13th ranked
05:10pass rush in terms of pressure in the NFL this year.
05:12It's a bipolar week, so our offensive line will be good.
05:14You got to hope.
05:15Now, this is, again, an offensive line, too, that is super vulnerable in the way that they
05:20give up pressure.
05:21Again, you're Dallas and you can make all of them look like rock stars this year.
05:24They blitz a lot.
05:25This is the get right game.
05:26I saw it.
05:28You've said that multiple times.
05:29Please stop.
05:30No, I'm saying Dallas is a get right game.
05:32Oh, for them.
05:32I'm saying Dallas is every team's get right game.
05:35I'm saying that's who they are.
05:37No, but yeah, Indianapolis.
05:39No, they're actually one of the, they're barely, they're 1% above Dallas in terms of blitz
05:44right this year.
05:44Dallas is third to last in the NFL.
05:46It's Cincinnati, Seattle, Dallas, Raiders, Colts.
05:50And so the Colts are right there.
05:52Not a team that blitzes a lot.
05:53But they've got some ability.
05:56Yesterday, we were talking with Jonathan Smith and he had some fantastic takes.
06:02But while we were talking to him, he had said that, you know, if you're a Colts fan, you're
06:07probably talking up Mooney Ward this week if you're trying to make yourself feel good.
06:11Mooney Ward and Cameron Bynum.
06:13And oh, maybe those guys are good players and they'll be able to just handle the coverage
06:17a little bit.
06:17And he's like, that's not going to happen.
06:19I don't think that'll happen.
06:20But they got some guys in the secondary who are not terrible players.
06:23Their pass defense hasn't been bad this year.
06:25Like some of the stuff I saw, they're not a great football team, but they're not just
06:27getting wrecked out there as a secondary unit.
06:32They've played better than Dallas's secondary has by a decent margin, I think, this year.
06:37So Indianapolis, though, they can cover a little bit.
06:40Charverius Ward, former cowboy for a brief minute that they traded away for a backup offensive
06:45lineman who never played here.
06:46And then Ward went on to win a Super Bowl as a starter for the Chiefs and got a big
06:50contract
06:50for the 49ers.
06:51But he's he's played well this year at times.
06:54Cameron Bynum is a good player.
06:56He had previously been with the Vikings and is a versatile piece in the secondary.
07:01They've got Sauce Gardner out there who is obviously so much reputation at this point
07:08than what he actually does.
07:10Because he's not the you remember there's a point where Jalen Ramsey was like you wondered
07:16if he was going to teeter a little bit.
07:17And then he just he leveled up like when he went to the Rams and stuff.
07:19He kept playing really good football.
07:21It seems like Sauce just took the other turn where it's like, OK, now you're you're kind
07:25of flattening out a little bit and you're not leveling up your game in your new spot.
07:28Twenty five.
07:29Yeah.
07:29And I mean, he was a two firsts.
07:31Yeah.
07:32Two firsts.
07:32Oh, yeah.
07:33Awful.
07:33What an awful, awful decision.
07:35He and these giants make the same one.
07:37And he's not a bad player.
07:39Like if you if you had Sauce Gardner as one of your corners, you wouldn't be upset by
07:43it.
07:44It's just if you're told you gave up two firsts for you'd go.
07:46Why?
07:46Like it's that's the kind of level he is.
07:48But if he was just on your team, you'd be like, we're a decent team right there.
07:51So they've got an ability to.
07:54Who do you think he'll see the most?
07:55I mean, they're going to play a lot of if George plays.
07:57So they're going to play.
07:58They're going to play a lot of, I think, quarters the way that other teams have done to you
08:03lately.
08:03So it's just going to be a lot of deep shell.
08:05Um, it's going to be a lot of covering like Sauce Gardner is going to be joining in just
08:11like putting a cap on the defense.
08:13It's not going to be a lot of direct man to man stuff, but quarters is something that
08:17Dallas has struggled with this year because teams will put it in there and then they'll
08:21start generating a little bit of pressure and it's really difficult for Dak to get locked
08:26in and in the zone with Indianapolis.
08:28They can't generate pressure even when they've been in quarters.
08:31They'll cover it up fine, but you're not going to get a bunch of pressure.
08:33If Dak has time to stand back there, he'll be able to not pick it apart, but I think
08:37he'll be able to find a safety valve against the Colts.
08:40Uh, doing the film room here, the film review of the Indianapolis Colts.
08:44Um, their run defenses is really vulnerable.
08:47They are not gap disciplined.
08:49They don't always tackle well.
08:51Like you can carry today, baby.
08:52Let's go.
08:53I mean, this is, this is a team that is, they are basically the equal to the Cowboys in
08:58terms of run defense this year.
08:59Statistically, they're, they're pretty close.
09:01Um, Indy is actually worse on an EPA per play basis than Dallas is against the run this
09:06year.
09:07I don't think it looks as bad as Dallas's has.
09:10So when I watch it, it's like, okay, EPA per play, you can put that in there, but the
09:14realistic, like watching it, I don't have as little confidence in Indy as I do Dallas
09:18to stop the run at times, but Indy is not good at it.
09:22This is definitely, they're, they're worse than Philly was who you just ran up against
09:25a couple of weeks ago.
09:26They're, they're a worse rush defense than Philly.
09:28And so a lot of over pursuit, Akeem Davis Gaither, who's one of their decent linebackers,
09:33like one of their decent players on defense that they haven't sold away yet.
09:35He was a DNP the first two days of practice this week.
09:38There's no telling if he's actually going to play this week.
09:40And a year at C, this is setting up.
09:42Sean's already covering his eyes.
09:43Cause what he doesn't want is they're so bad and they're missing all these people.
09:46And now Sean thinks they're going to lose by two touchdowns.
09:48We're going to have to talk about that on Monday.
09:50How's Bob Sanders?
09:51Is he good?
09:51And is he still number one?
09:53This is a prop bet game for me.
09:56I mean, I am all over Pickens, Taylor, Bobby just made me think I need to go look up Javante.
10:03Yeah.
10:04Warren.
10:05He's going to get 20 carries again.
10:06This is a prop bet game for me.
10:09I like it.
10:09I like it because I don't have any faith.
10:11I have zero faith in, on the surface I'm like, yeah, Cowboys should cover this.
10:16But then I'm like, why?
10:17Why would I think that?
10:18Yeah, you can't feel confident in anything they do, to be completely honest.
10:23I don't even feel confident about the over anymore because the offense could go and just
10:26completely S the bet.
10:27And now both these guys, they could all run it.
10:30And Drain and Clough can be low scoring unless they break off 40 yards.
10:33If I'm the Colts, I 100% run the Tampa Bay game plan.
10:36Like, dead serious.
10:37I do not throw the ball.
10:38Daniel Jones is really, really bad.
10:40What happened?
10:41What happened to last year's first?
10:44I assume he's in his cousin's Achilles year.
10:48That may be part of it.
10:49He's, I mean, we all know, he's never been great.
10:52And he's not running around.
10:54Like, I was looking for Daniel Jones.
10:56I think seven yards is the prop bet on him running.
10:59And I'm like, that's easy.
11:01He's been two yards, three yards, four yards.
11:03I'm like, that's what Dayball did.
11:05Maybe they just removed the Achilles.
11:06Maybe it wasn't just a repair.
11:07Maybe they just took it out.
11:08He is 31st in passer rating.
11:1031st in air yards per attempt.
11:1230th in TD pass percentage.
11:1429th in QBR.
11:1540.
11:16It's a 40.
11:1729th in yards per attempt.
11:1828th in yards per completion.
11:2026th in completion percentage.
11:22Yeah, and he turns the ball over a lot.
11:24He'll throw a bunch of interceptions.
11:26He fumbles.
11:27He, like, there definitely does seem to be, you remember when he was with the Giants,
11:31you'd watch him and go, man, he's tough.
11:32He has to stand in there.
11:33He takes these hits.
11:34He looks a little, he looks a little PTSD back there now.
11:39Like, he kind of shudders a little bit.
11:40It's not the same steely nerves you saw once before.
11:44He'll sail some throws.
11:46It's, it's clearly a frustrating thing at times for their receivers that he's just not on point with it.
11:53Broadus, I heard him talking the other day.
11:54He likes what Steichen's done.
11:56And I think that, like, he thinks Steichen is actually, like, the Colts have done a decent job designing things
12:01as best they can.
12:03And there's some stuff they can do that would challenge Dallas.
12:05And Josh Downs, Shadi mentioned him a little bit.
12:08Josh Downs is a really good player.
12:11And he's, that's the exact type of receiver that I feel like gives them hell all the time.
12:16Just the smaller, shiftier receiver who can still do some stuff vertically if you need to.
12:21But, man, he's good.
12:22I think that's somebody who could hurt them in space, especially with the way that they pursue and the way
12:26that they tackle at times.
12:28But, man, hand the ball off every single time to Jonathan Taylor.
12:31Give him 40 carries in this game.
12:33I don't know.
12:34And Shadi said they're expecting that when we talked to him last hour, that he expects them to just, that's
12:38the big dose of what they're going to get.
12:39But I don't know if you could stop it if they say we're going to line up and run it
12:4240 times.
12:43The offensive line's not great.
12:44That's the biggest thing that would work at a disadvantage to them.
12:47But Taylor's still a good, dynamic running back who runs in a style that gives them problems.
12:53I think Dallas can generate pressure this game because everybody else can generate pressure.
12:58It's a game where you should be able to win in the trenches just on paper.
13:03You're not going to every week because you should have won on paper in a number of other games that
13:08you didn't.
13:08But you should be able to do that.
13:10I don't think the Colts have enough resources to beat them.
13:15And I hate talking this up because it sounds like, what are they going to do against Dallas?
13:20This is not a Dallas talk-up game.
13:22The Colts are saying, we're done.
13:24We're packing it in and we're done.
13:26Try to, on the Friday before each game, rank how bad the teams were.
13:31Tampa, Arizona, Indy.
13:35Try to remember Friday, how you felt.
13:37Let's see here.
13:38Tampa, Arizona, Indy.
13:41Well, the worst team they've...
13:42This is Philly.
13:44Oh, Philly?
13:44I forgot Philly.
13:46Yeah, Philly's bad.
13:46Philly was the worst?
13:48Philly was the worst.
13:49What?
13:50Yeah.
13:51Is that another defense still?
13:52Well, we talked about it at the time where it was like they've had so many injuries and moves and
13:55stuff
13:55that it was like, it's the same sort of energy of like, this is a depleted football team you should
14:00beat,
14:00but you can't trust anything with them, and then they almost went out there in the first half
14:03and you felt like, oh, you can't beat them.
14:05All right, so Philly the worst, then?
14:07Well, Indy's worse than Philly.
14:08Or right there.
14:10It's close.
14:11I'd say, I think I might say Indy's a little worse.
14:14Like, Indy is just...
14:15So the worst team you think that they faced on a Friday?
14:17Is probably Indy.
14:19But it would go Indy, Philly, Tampa, Arizona.
14:23Oh!
14:24Okay.
14:25Bobby Bell, film room preview.
