00:03We're looking at the new Bandai Thundercats toys.
00:06I'm going to have a look today and show you guys the deluxe Sword of Omens.
00:32Let me take you back.
00:33Let me take you back to when I was younger.
00:35I actually remember vividly going through the bay with my Mimum at the time.
00:41Well, she is still my mother, but at the time that we went through it, I remember seeing
00:46the original Sword of Omens.
00:48It was just cheap plastic.
00:50It lit up where the eye of Thundera is.
00:55It lit up, but that's about all it did.
00:57I always wanted one, I never got one.
01:00But now that the new Thundercats series is out, and they've released a Thundercats Sword
01:05of Omens, this guy jumped on it.
01:09If there was a train moving by, this guy jumped on that train and was on his way to Thundercats
01:14County, where the population was many.
01:18Because there are many fans of Thundercats, and I think I can agree with many other Thundercats
01:24fans who have said that the new Thundercats cartoon is awesome.
01:28I enjoy it, I love watching it.
01:31I can't wait.
01:32I've picked up most of the Thundercats toys, I will be going through and reviewing them
01:36for you guys, but I definitely had to get my hands on the Sword of Omens.
01:41It's extremely large, so much so, so much so, I can't get it all in camera here.
01:47It's ages four and up, so this guy is in luck.
01:51On the front we've got the new Lion-O.
01:55And I like him, I like Lion-O quite a bit.
01:59The Sword, as you can see there, extendable blade.
02:03That's good, because it is an awfully small sword, as you guys can see.
02:10It has a Try-Me, but luckily enough the remove pull tab is still there, so hopefully batteries
02:16still work.
02:18The Deluxe Sword of Omens, lights and sounds, requires three LR44 batteries, but batteries
02:25are included.
02:27There's nothing worse, my friends, than getting a toy that requires batteries, especially at
02:31Christmas time.
02:32I've been there.
02:34You get it at Christmas time, you open it up, I got it!
02:37And then you realize, no, there's no batteries, mom and pa forgot to buy batteries, because
02:41they thought batteries were included.
02:44This time, no disappointments.

03:49Thundercats, push to extend blade, push for sight beyond sight, and finally, push for sounds.
03:58And you can see the, the eye lighting up with the Thundercats symbol.

04:06Thundercats, other things that you can receive, other things that you can buy, is a standard
04:13Sword of Omens, the smaller version, which I passed on.
04:16I really didn't want these smaller.

04:21If I'm going to hold off my fortress from would-be attackers, I want the larger Sword of

05:24there's really not a lot to be said
05:26for it so far but let me tell you my
05:28friends it gets a lot cooler than
05:30that this sword is sexy
05:32and I'm going to hopefully proceed in the next several minutes to show you how sexy the sword is
05:38down below is the battery compartment
05:42take yourself a phillips screwdriver
05:45and inside are those batteries
05:47if you need to change out your LR44 batteries
05:51on the very bottom here you have an on and off switch
05:54I've taken the liberty of already setting it to on
05:57figured there was no way if I wanted to eat up more time in this review by having to turn
06:02it off then back on
06:04I just have it left on
06:07on the one side you can see the eye of Thundera
06:13which you can't help but now notice that it kind of also bears a resemblance to the eye in Lord
06:19of the Rings
06:20coincidence? who really knows
06:23on the other side you've got the Thundercats logo
06:28I've always loved the Thundercats logo
06:31a little known fact
06:32or a fact that you probably did not know
06:34is when I was younger
06:35I considered getting a Thundercats tattoo
06:38I was in junior high
06:40a bit nerdy yes I know
06:42luckily this guy didn't get a tattoo
06:44certainly not of Thundercats
06:46but I still love the logo
06:48I love the Thundercats logo
06:52it looks like it's been slightly changed
06:55versus the original Thundercats logo
06:56because I thought there was a little more of a predominant nose
06:59it seems a little more stylized
07:01but you've still got the essence of Thundercats right there
07:06it's not really who cares
07:07who cares let's see
07:08let's see the goods as it were
07:10there are several functions and light up features
07:14both operated by your two buttons
07:17you have a button right there
07:18right underneath the eye
07:20you've also got
07:22a little button on the handle of the sword
07:25we'll operate first this button
07:27so I'll show you guys that first
07:29when you press it
07:31the sides of the blade will extend out
07:34you'll also get your first bit of sound
07:54and you guys probably can't see that
07:56but that eye also lights up
07:59unfortunately it only lights up on the one side
08:02the side that has the Thundercats logo
08:04it does not light up on the side
08:06with the actual eye of Thundercats
08:08or the sight beyond sight
08:10so even though it does make the sound
08:13unfortunately that one side does not light up
08:15which is a bit disappointing
08:16but I still appreciate the fact
08:19that the one side does still light up
08:23now as you also heard
08:25it has a slash noise
08:27as well
08:28which also will play into this lever here as well
08:32you press this lever
08:34this lever right here
08:37it will make a similar
08:39yet a little more satisfying
08:41of a slash noise
08:46it also makes the
08:48as you can see
08:52it makes the
08:53I guess the energy zap
08:55from the sword sound
08:58and
08:59it also makes the slashing sound as well
09:03if you hold it

10:05and if you get a good enough swing
10:08the blade will fully swing
