01:08excited that we're now getting zolo world retro night of the living dead characters and that when
01:13you do collect all six of them you can build the creator himself george a romero a big thank you

01:18the folks over at zolo world that were kind enough to provide this sample in fact we are going to
01:22be
01:22looking at a couple of the zolo world night of the living dead characters throughout the spot tober
01:26season starting things first with barbara each of the figures by the way are going to be selling for
01:3032.99 online you can also get yourself the entire set they also have plans too to release play sets

01:37a full bundle will also include a detailed farmhouse diorama play set and an exclusive sticker set
01:44how about that for how tall though barbara's going to be i'm clocking her in at about three and
01:49three quarters of an inch that's going to work out to be a figure that's about nine centimeters tall
01:53as it seems the ominous storm is starting to set in i had to pull the camera back to bring
01:57the
01:57packaging in along with barbara and the rest of the retro night living dead characters you get this
02:01really nice card art to the point where i almost was disappointed that i had to remove her from her
02:06plastic prison because i thought she would look really good inside of it on the back of the card
02:10though you get all your six characters johnny barbara graveyard ghoul ben hospital gown ghoul and
02:15karen cooper collecting though all six of these will give you the chance then to build
02:19george a romero now you do actually get some of the accessories we're going to kind of look at those
02:23things in a moment but i do really like the artwork that zolo world includes with her packaging
02:28as for though the parts that come included for george a romero i've taken only just the time to remove
02:33it from the packaging i haven't actually cut the ziploc bag just yet and it looks like
02:41it's interesting because it says it's george a romero but yet i'm looking at these i'm guessing
02:45what it is is these are just going to be barbara's legs here and that these parts here are going
02:50to
02:50be for george a romero yeah i can see there's his head let's carefully cut the bag so it looks
02:58like
02:58you get yourself george a romero's head a pair of arms and a knife as well boy that thunder really
03:05is
03:05coming down out there all right so for the things that we get now again i i feel like these
03:12probably
03:12are going to be oh i yeah that's going to be barbara's so even though they were really in a
03:17separate bag from one another it looks like you get yourself legs and you get yourself arms for
03:21barbara so we're going to put those over there so what you really only get for barbara when it
03:25comes to george a romero is you get you get his head it's really weird and unsettling the fact that
03:31i have his head in my hands and then you also get yourself a knife now i'm sure though the
03:35knife
03:35would probably also be used for barbara because she does also what looks to be have slightly more
03:39gripping hands so maybe in actual fact what we only really get for the creator is just the head alone
03:44and then the knife is probably going to belong to barbara the way that this works is that barbara's
03:50going to come with two pairs of two types of arms two types of legs so the way that she
03:55is right now
03:55when you get her out of the packaging if you want kind of more the retro designs of characters
04:00where again she's not going to have anything in the elbows she's not going to have anything at
04:04all in the knees you can have her kept this way and then my guess would be you then pop
04:10off the
04:10arms and you would be able to swap them out if you want a little bit more posability like these
04:14arms
04:14here as you can see you do have an elbow bend boy that storm's really bad out there there is
04:19an elbow
04:19bend it does not look like you'd be able to turn it maybe a little bit back and forth as
04:23well
04:24so you would just pop those out with the existing arms the existing legs and then you'd have
04:29barbara within more additional posability i like that they've done that because if you
04:33were one to really collect these figures with a plan in mind that you wanted these to look more
04:37retro you would only just really keep them the arms still on the figure and still to keep these legs
04:42and you would just not have the additional posability let's try to change out the arm here
04:48so we want to make sure yeah thumbs go in there we go we're going to make sure we got
04:52the right side
04:52we're going to pop the arm off carefully carefully carefully and just see if this is easy enough to
05:01remove okay that seemed not too bad the dress by the way for barbara is also fabric something also
05:07too that just elevates the look and feel of it okay so one side now we just again we've got
05:13the
05:13non-posable arm and then on this side you've now got a posable arm for me i think i would
05:19rather have
05:19the figures with posability myself being that the head is already going to be on a ball joint anyways
05:24there's some additional again posability not as much really in the legs but again if you wanted to
05:29sorry barbara you would just pop the legs off here maybe we'll just do that right now take the bag
05:35take the bag of legs i never thought i would there'd be a time that i would say the bag
05:40of legs we're
05:40just going to take out the bag of legs yeah barbara does have knee bends on these legs
05:47and again first time doing this so i apologize in advance we want to make sure we've got the
05:51same side lined up i'm hoping these would be as easy to pop the legs off okay so there's a
05:59fairly
06:00large ball peg there pop the new leg in place it would really be like two-faced in the in
06:07the way
06:07that one let one side is going to have posability the other side isn't how easy is this going to
06:12be
06:12to get this back in place now i'm doing this right now only on camera i think probably you may
06:18recommend i would recommend certainly maybe heating these legs up in hot water first before you pop
06:23them back onto the peg oh no okay that's not so bad so again one leg is going to be
06:29a little more
06:29posable this leg isn't going to have that so eventually when you do get around to deciding
06:34which way you'd like to have it you know displayed i i think again i'm probably going to end up
06:39doing the same thing just for the sake of this review i'm not going to do it right now but
06:42i'm going to probably pop this arm off pop this leg off and then just rinse and repeat the steps
06:47so i've got the posability on both sides with all the accessories out of the way be careful not to
06:53lose george a romero's head very nice looking hand sculpt though by the way getting a closer look at
06:59barbara now i mentioned earlier that she comes include with a knife i'm just wondering if the knife
07:03does fit into her hands not the greatest not the greatest it may actually be more designed for george
07:11romero for the design though of barbara you know i gotta say for the size of what this thing is
07:17it's
07:17it's small after all i feel it does very much look like judith o'day of course played the role of
07:23barbara she does have what i've already mentioned before a fabric dress so that's a little bit of
07:28extra premium feel to it the dress looks good too everything is all decked out here in black and
07:33white i think the head sculpt for barbara is nicely done as well that one thing did catch my attention
07:40right away getting her out of her packaging was the fact that she did have a bulge in the head
07:44i would think too based on that that all the other figures from the knife living dead is also going
07:48to
07:48be doing the same but again like the head is pretty good on this one i don't know if expectations
07:53would
07:54be there that you'd want to have these figures in color i think obviously like in the original movie
07:57you'd really want to keep them in black and white she has her little uh i guess that would be
08:01the top
08:01scarf there of her dress the dress material by the way is also done really nicely as well
08:07she has a little trim down below here that looks like it's been sewn separately
08:12i think the material is pretty close there too it there's no velcro or anything on the dress itself
08:17what my guess would be is they probably put the dress on the body pop then the arms and the
08:22head all
08:23in place and that's the thing that's keeping the dress in place for barbara's posability her head's
08:29going to be again on that ball joint so it allows the head to rotate all the way around depending
08:33again on your preference you could either have gone the route of just the regular arms right and even
08:37just with those regular arms they still hinge out and you can rotate them all the way around
08:42if you prefer though to have these arms with bends then obviously the arm is going to still do the
08:47same so does full rotation hinges out bend at the elbow and the same relief for the legs now the
08:54legs are only going to be able to swivel forward and back there's no hinge joint where the legs can
09:00split in the same way that the arms did however though this leg here again is not going to have
09:05any
09:05bend in the knee if you do decide though you want to change out the the leg then of course
09:09this one's
09:09going to have a bend in the knee and again like she doesn't have pegles in the bottoms of her
09:13feet
09:13surprising though barbara stands perfectly fine she doesn't have really anything in the way of
09:18the accessories i mean i guess if you found a way to finagle a knife you could probably maybe get
09:23that in her hands the tiny tiny little knife or my guess would likely be when eventually you get
09:28around to collecting then the other five figures right because yeah collect all six when you get
09:33then the sixth and final figure you build yourself george romero now the folks though over at solo world
09:39provided actually a couple of these i think they sent over three so i'm going to do my
09:43best i'm hoping at the very least that of the other two figures that we're going to be having a
09:46look
09:46at one of them at least will have the body so i have the place to put the head it's
09:51a nice looking
09:51figure it's a little smaller yeah in size but i think even despite having its size being small like
09:56this solo world packed a lot of details in it and i personally really like the idea that there's
10:01options available too if you want to have a bend at the knee if you want to have a little
10:04more
10:04posability for a retro figure you can do that but if you want to kind of keep her more in
10:09the way
10:09that she would have been had this figure maybe been released in the 80s you can also do that too
10:14now at the time that this video unearthed itself unfortunately though zolo world has sold out of
10:19the set of the night living dead retro figures at one point they had them on the set of six
10:23on their
10:23site for 199.99 that included though all the six characters with again the option then to build
10:29obviously george romero if you had all six but that also did include the farmhouse diorama and a
10:34sticker set which only was available on zolo world being that it has sold out you may have to then
10:39go
10:39to aftermarket places to try to track the set down for yourself i could hope though that the demand
10:44would be high the thirst would be high from collectors out there that loved the original classic film
10:49that zolo world may entertain the idea of re-releasing these figures again a big thank you to the folks
10:54over at zolo world that did provide the sample of the night living dead retro barbara they're coming for
10:59you barbara that we had the chance to have a look at during the month of spot tober while they
11:04were
11:05also sending over barbara they sent also the the guy that kind of just is the i wouldn't want to
11:10say
11:10the catalyst for all this but the guy that everybody remembers the most is the one that was teasing
11:13barbara in the cemetery we're also be looking at johnny we're also be looking at karen cooper we're
11:18about halfway there of building george a romero i hope between the johnny and the karen that we're at
11:23least going to have a torso to attach the head to i really don't feel comfortable with the idea of
11:28george a romero's head sitting right now on my tabletop if you guys did enjoy this video please
