00:37So I was the nurse that Drake picked out in the crowd and gifted a blessing to.

00:48I mean, everybody's been talking about his other blessing yesterday.
00:50This is a bigger one.
00:51This is $25,000 that he gifted you.
00:55And when I saw it on your page, like we hear from Lulu all the time via Snap because she's always like riding with us and doing a mix and giving shouts and stuff.
01:06And it's just really cool to have somebody support the station.
01:08But when I saw her post it, I was like, wait a minute.
01:10How does she get his attention?
01:12And I saw him reading the sign.
01:14The sign was like 120 hours.
01:17Tell me what you put on that sign.
01:18So I put, I recently got an award through my job.
01:24I got a nurse excellence year of 2023 award.
01:30Congratulations for that.
01:31Let's put our hands together for that.
01:32There we go.
01:33You know, upward mobility.
01:34We're loving that.
01:35Okay, so you got the award.
01:36And I actually, I was just trying to be funny because I'm a goofball at heart.
01:40But I put a picture of me holding the award.
01:43And my daughter, my youngest daughter actually helped me make the sign.
01:47And I did.
01:48I worked a large amount of hours.
01:51So 120 is what I calculated.
01:54I put that I was a single mother of four children, a college student.

02:02I know hard times.
02:03I put in Drake, I trust.

02:10And so when he looked down and saw the sign, he started to read it.
02:14And was like, was that like a moment where he was just giving out a bunch of money?
02:18Or was it like, because I'm out of town and to get the message.
02:20And I'm like, yo, are you serious?
02:22How did this happen to you out of 22,000 people?
02:26No, I took the chance.
02:27I rolled the dice and I, I made the sign.
02:30And I really wanted him.
02:31I just wanted to look into his eyes.
02:33He doesn't.
02:35So I got that and more.

02:42He tossed me, it's kind of like a towel.
02:43And it was a receipt.
02:45So the managers knew to come over to me and get my information.

02:50It's kind of like, yeah, it's like a very thick, kind of like a napkin when you go to
02:56a fancy restaurant.
02:57That's how it, that's how it feels.
02:59And so he passed it down to the guy who made sure you got it.

03:07Like, does this happen?

03:16But I mean, like, but have they reached out to you?

03:20Cause you said you're heading now to the airport to go to Nashville for the show again.

03:41So I'm taking myself and my friend who lives in Nashville and her two children are going

03:46But this show was actually scheduled for last year.

03:52You know, one thing I've gotten a lot of comments like, Oh, she should be at home with her kids.
03:57My kids were with me.
03:59And, um, a lot of people think I'm a lot younger than I am.
04:03I'm turning 40.
04:05All my kids.
04:06I have a 19, 17 and two 15 year olds.
04:09So.
04:10Oh, they could babysit each other.
04:11They could.
04:12Yeah.
04:12Well, wait, wait a minute.
04:13Why are they hating?
04:14Cause you couldn't go to the drink concert?

04:16Cause they couldn't go.

04:18No, you, you, you, you did the right thing.
04:21First of all, you know, I love anybody who's wearing the scrubs because you guys are like,
04:25you know, the Florence Nightingales out there.
04:26Y'all are taking care of people at their worst.
04:28So when you get an opportunity to get out there and have a good time and then get some
04:33sort of love like this, that's just a blessing.
04:35Like I, like I said, 22,000 people, he could have grabbed somebody who was singing along
04:40with his songs.
04:41I've seen him do that.
04:42If they know word for word, he'll bring them on stage and then bless them with a couple thousand
04:45dollars.
04:46So there's all kinds of ways.
04:47There wasn't a guarantee that you would get it, but you know what?
04:50God, Drake, six, God, whoever shined on you and gave you a $25,000 blessing.
04:56So I'd probably stalk him to the next city too.
04:59I'm really grateful.
05:01And, you know, um, there's a lot of things that I want to do to better myself and my children
05:07with this blessing.
05:10Um, so I'm considering going for my master's now.
05:15Oh, that's what's up.
05:16That's expensive.
05:18Yeah.
05:18And, uh, you know, a lot of people think that nurses make so much money.
05:23Um, you know, I get by just like everybody else.
05:28Yeah.
05:29The only time I'm able to do things like this for me and my family is when I work a significant
05:34amount of hours.
05:35Oh, that's exactly what got his attention.
05:38I mean, you know, if everybody has different things to say, you know, up or down about
05:43Drake, but he is a person who gives it back.
05:45I mean, we, we got therapy Thursday coming up, but we talking about another gift that
05:49he gave in the Bay area.
05:50So, I mean, he, he did definitely touch the city.
05:53I want to make sure I tell you out of the three, five, two, uh, Jackie just wrote us and
05:58said, she is an amazing person.
05:59If anybody deserves it, she does.

06:12And, uh, I give back every single day that I go to work.

06:21And, you know, I, I was like shocked the rest of the time.
06:26Like I couldn't, I couldn't process what was going on, but.
06:30And you went out, you were out there really early too.
06:33I saw you post something where you were out in the GA line.
06:35Like what time did you get in line?
06:38Um, I, I believe we got there around four o'clock in the morning and I was like, yeah.
06:43So four o'clock in the morning, you were out there waiting and, and the show started at
06:47like seven 30.

06:50That's a, I mean, yeah, but everybody out there like, why this don't happen to me?

06:54Cause you ain't out there at four o'clock in the morning.
06:56And the show started at seven 30, but it didn't, it didn't start till like nine.

07:01So like you're out there all day.
07:02There's been a lot of waiting.

07:05Then somebody just out of the two, five, six just said, I love it.

07:11So how does that, that, I mean, this is, it's a blessing financially.
07:17It's an, it's an artist that I would assume is maybe one of your favorites.

07:27Like, and I've been telling people, like people probably think I'm delusional, but I'm like,

07:41I was like, oh man, damn, he bought, he bought a bra, you know?
07:44Um, so, I mean, I will say that people, you know, have different things to say about him
07:49and he's your favorite artist, but this moment touches so many people because not only did
07:53his giving touch, but what you are saying and them saying, wow, it went to the right
07:59person.
07:59It could have just went to a rando and it went to the right person who deserved to get it.
08:03Cause a lot of people are giving you accolades.
08:05So I wanted to make sure we at least shared in that moment, but by the time I got back, I
08:10was like, Hey Lacey, let's get you on the phone.
08:11She's like, I'm heading to Nashville for the concert again.
08:14So that morning will be great to call on Thursday.
