00:00In the video right now these are my natural nails and I've been without any polish for
00:04probably two years maybe even three. Most of the time I was reviewing regular nail polish
00:08but at some point something happened and I thought why not try gel polish on myself.
00:14I'll be honest my cuticle is quite tricky and one of the best hacks for preparing this kind
00:19of cuticle for treatment is to push it back a few days before the manicure. So about three days in
00:25advance I start gently pushing it back with a pusher or an orange stick whatever I have on hand
00:31so that it doesn't get super stuck to the nail. In this case I prepared the nail plate, pushed back
00:36the cuticle but decided not to cut it. And what are you going to do about it? Nothing. Because I
00:41just
00:41didn't want to, I was too lazy and I think that's perfectly fine too. Stay with me and see what
00:47kind
00:47of result I get. I've already applied the dehydrator here but now I'm applying the Primach. I only apply
00:53to the tip so it holds and for this I'll be using a pedicure base. This is a thin super
00:58flexible
00:58coating. The products are liquid and very convenient to work with. That's why actually it's recommended
01:04for pedicures. I've cured the base and I'm removing the sticky layer because I'm going to apply
01:09the red polish shade I'm wearing right now. As you may have noticed I don't have any leveling or
01:15strengthening just a thin layer of base. In this case I'm applying the third shade of gel polish from
01:20Emi. This is probably the reddest of all reds. It really can't get any redder than this. As you can
01:27see my cuticle is still in place. That doesn't bother me at all. I'm not painting under the cuticle,
01:32I'm painting right up to it because I want to achieve the effect of regular nail polish not gel
01:38polish. And I'm showing one of the ways to apply highly pigmented polish. I used a gel brush not the
01:43brush from the bottle because if the polish is super pigmented and that's exactly what a nail polishes are
01:48like then you need to apply it super super thin and that's exactly what I wanted. After curing the
01:54gel polish with the regular polish effect I take a scratch resistant top coat and also apply it in a
01:59thin layer without any leveling. And if you've already noticed I haven't filed either the shape
02:05or the length yet. That's because I plan to do it after curing. I use a thin brush to help
02:10myself if I
02:11can't reach somewhere with the regular brush from the bottle. Here is the result we have. It's already not bad
02:16but there are still little bumps visible on the tips. So and with a fine grid file I'm going to
02:21file my nails now.
02:22I'm filing with a file at a 45 degree angle. That means we don't hold the file like this but
02:28tilt it a little
02:29like this. After shaping the nails I take some oil and apply it to the cuticles. And this is the
02:34result we got.
02:35I also filmed a separate clip for you. The next day I was driving in the car and this is
02:39how my manicure looked.
02:41My manicure is about four or five days old now. Everything is still in place.
