00:00All right, the Cincinnati Reds this week were shut out twice, and then they scored 11 runs on
00:05Saturday. This is, you know, Tom, one of my disappointments of the season. I thought they
00:10were going to be better. I watched them play, of course, when they played against Miami. I watched
00:14all three games. I was very disturbed watching a little bit because in this day and age of like
00:20massive pitching changes and pinch hitting and moving guys around, Terry Francona, who to me,
00:26Tom, is a Hall of Fame manager, one of the very best the last 20, 30 years. I gotta be
00:31fair and
00:32ask myself this question. Like, what are you doing, man? Like watching the pitchers just get blown up
00:37and not making changes. Like, you know that this guy doesn't hit against lefties, and you know this
00:41guy doesn't hit against righties, and they're just like kind of sitting for a lot of the game. Very
00:46weird and bizarre stuff to me going on in Cincinnati and with their lineup, Tom. And you have Chase
00:50Burns at the end of the year. The Reds should not be losing 85, 90 games, Tom. And so
00:56look, I don't think it's Francona's fault at all. And as I said, the guy's a Hall of Fame manager.
01:01I do have to ask the question, Tom, is this the right spot for him right now? Is what's going

01:10I would say the same thing, and it continued, you know, against Arizona where Nick Lodolo, he was out
01:16there. He had 10 hits. It's like, you know, once you see like the cracks in the dam, it's like
01:21you gotta be
01:22ahead of the curve. You know, we've talked about this for years, like, oh, the third time through
01:25the rotation. Sometimes it's not three. You have to be aggressive in making that pitching change,
01:30making that pinch hitting, whatever it is, because as soon as that the player starts, I'm not gonna
01:35say tipping pitches, but like teams are jumping on those pitches, and they know before the pitcher
01:40knows. What we've seen from the Reds pitching staff has been atrocious.
