00:20Like, when it comes to this, it's not fun to correct people if people are just saying things just to
00:27have an opinion they could be wrong.
00:29Like, that's the big difference in all those conversations.
00:33Like, you do genuinely know that we're saying things that we believe.
00:38That's what makes it fun when we're wrong.
00:39It would not be fun if I just came on the air and told you, Will Levis is going to
00:45be the future of the NFL, just to say it one day because I was bored.
00:49And then you're like, hey, Lima was wrong.
00:51Let's pounce.
00:51Yeah, you don't want to do that.
00:52Nobody would care.
00:52Everybody's like, no, we knew he was going to be terrible.
00:54Yeah.
00:56But eventually, it just didn't land anything.
00:58Like, there's nothing – you've had some strong opinions and you've given them in a weird way, but I don't
01:03think you've done anything just to kind of be a takesman or anything like that.
01:06Like, I had one last week that got pulled out.
01:10It got aggregated everywhere about Talon Green.

01:26As the league waits to see if he can learn quarterback.
01:29Like, maybe he should transition now.
01:33And then that was considered a hot take, but I'm like, what are the odds he makes it a quarterback?

01:51When you have 67, 68 quarterbacks playing during the season –
01:54So that's more on your side than mine.
01:56Yeah, well, that's – I'm not trying to do champion's post on that.
01:58He can go out there and be absolutely terrible because, I mean, eventually he'll probably play this year just because
02:03of the way things are going.
02:04But he wasn't the one – like, there were a lot of people wanting to see him, and that's great.
02:09I'm glad that he made the roster, and I hope he continues to develop, and I hope he does well.
02:13I don't want to see him too quickly because I think that that would probably be a bad omen for
02:16the season,
02:16even though you're saying four wins, I'm saying five wins.
02:19Which brings us to this.
02:21A lot of people, a lot of people upset about Luke Floria not making the team.
02:26You said you got texts out the wazoo over the weekend.
02:29Yeah, because fans were like, if we're going to be bad, let's at least have somebody local, somebody we know,
02:34somebody we follow.
02:35You see, that's the whole thing where I can look at it, and I can be cold and go,
02:40hey, we actually have kind of a wide receiver room with KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston,
02:45and they kept Isaiah Bond, they kept Malachi Corley, they kept Jerry Judy, and you may think, hey, that's garbage,
02:51I don't care about.
02:52Okay, but they think that those guys are going to help, and those guys are going to be able to
02:55help KC Concepcion.
02:56Okay, the reason that's brought up is that you're a player that's a fan favorite, but you're in a packed
03:01room.
03:02And the football part of it is that, hey, there's only so much to go around.
03:07You did well in the preseason, that's great, we'd like to keep you back on the practice squad.
03:13There's a ball player there, that might be nice.
03:16Like, I hope that he's able to pass through and make our practice squad, and that might be a good
03:19thing.
03:19Because eventually, yeah, because of banged up injuries, you might see him in December or something like that.
03:26But, you know, I go back to 2021, when we were coming off of 2020, and we thought that this
03:30was going to be,
03:31all right, we got our situation fixed with our head coach, we got our situation fixed with our quarterback,
03:36I didn't know Baker Mayfield was going to get hurt week two against Houston, and that was going to be
03:40the end of it.
03:42But, coming out of 2020 into 2021, if there were a player like Luke Floria,
03:49a vast majority of Browns fans, we say, hey, yeah, he's a local kid and a good story,
03:54and we like men are cardinals and all that other good stuff, but you know what, it's a tough game,
03:58and that's the way it goes, good luck to you in the future.
04:01But because we think it's going to be a four or a five-win team, or some people think even
04:05worse,
04:06and because of the last week plus, where we've had the Deshaun Watson saga,
04:13there's been the Watson-Sanders saga that's gone on,
04:15I think there's a lot of Browns fans that don't want either of them,
04:19there's a lot of Browns fans that don't want to see Deshaun,
04:21I think there's way more that just don't want to see Deshaun Watson,
04:24no, they want somebody they can get behind, because there's a lot of guys here that,
04:30yeah, I think that they're budding players for your football team,
04:33but I don't think the fans fully trust him, not that they trust Luke Floria,
04:37but he's a local story that they like, and if you're going to be bad,
04:41and a lot of people don't think you're going to be good,
04:44you kind of want somebody there that you could really get behind.
04:49So from a football perspective, it's like, hey, I get it, you're in a packed room,
04:53if you played a different position, maybe it'd be a little bit easier,
04:56but you're not, it's tough, it's the way it goes.
05:00But for a Browns fan's psyche, hey, I can understand.
05:06You think you're going to get blown out in some of these games,
05:09you think it ain't going to go well in some of these games, the outset does not look great.
05:14It's like, can I get somebody to catch a pass?
05:17And I'm like, oh my God, there he is, Metacardinal Luke Floria.
05:20Like, I get that. I really do.
05:23But he's just cashed in on all these opportunities for two years running.
05:28You know, he was cut short last year, unfortunately, in training camp because of the injury.
05:32And that was like, all right, that's probably the end of Luke.
05:35And then he comes back this year, and then in the final preseason game, he's putting on a show.
05:40Now there are guys up and down rosters, or you look around training camp,
05:45and you see the amount of guys you've never heard of and will never hear again,
05:48and pull up any, you know, late training camp, late preseason game for the last 15 years.
05:54There are people you've never heard of.
05:56And they went on to go do other things in life, probably not football.
06:00This one is just one, it's just one I've been asked about the most.
06:03And they're like, man, if the quarterback is going to deliver on a platter this awful PR hit,
06:10where people are going down to the statue, you know, in front of the stadium,
06:14or people are driving in front of the facility in Berea to voice their displeasure,
06:18let's have somebody we can counterbalance that with.
06:22And it's, all right, we've got somebody.
06:25I'm not saying people are going to rush to buy his jerseys,
06:28but it's also the story of he's 5'8", which is what makes people gravitate towards him.
06:34He's a Kent State guy, and Kent State's put out a lot more pros than maybe some people might realize
06:39who have been listening for a long time, even though if you're a bronze fan,
06:41I mean, you know about some of these guys, for the love of God.
06:43Or if you're a football fan of any age, you probably know about a lot of these guys, for the
06:47love of God.
06:47But when you have a guy like him, it's like, okay, mentor, nice kid, seems to be a nice young
06:54man.
06:54I shouldn't, I've never met him personally, seems to be a nice young man.
06:58Kent State, that whole local tie to it.
07:00And if you're going to struggle, like, at least you got somebody who's local that you can get behind.
07:06And so, yeah, I can see it.
07:08Where you've had this dearth of wide receivers before, where you're like, well, why can't he make the team?
07:12Well, I got Casey Concepcion, I got Denzel Boston, who are really good right now,
07:16and I've just told you about the other ones that they're excited about.
07:18Now, I think that a Browns fan would be more excited about him than Isaiah Bond,
07:21or certainly even Jerry Judy, because Jerry Judy, I think, has been a disappointment.
07:25Like, Jerry Judy, yes, is a higher-end wide receiver.
07:28He's supposed to be a higher-end wide receiver than anything you have.
07:32He's been a disappointment, by and large, in his career.
07:36And because of that disappointment, you're like, I don't even need to see Jerry Judy.
07:39I don't care. You'd rather go with Luke Flory.
07:42Just from the emotional standpoint of it,
07:44I totally get where the Browns are, but I actually understand totally where the fans are.
07:48I hate to ride a fence like that, but it's the absolute truth.
07:51And I think you actually agree with me on this.
07:53And I think anybody with some sense of it that has to walk both lines kind of does.
07:57It's to the downside of that height is that he's just not going to be a special teams player,
08:02which, in the end, it's why Malachi Corley is probably on the team, right?
08:06If he had Darren Sproles' speed, he could be a special team.
08:09Like, Darren Sproles ended up being great at other things, too, not just special teams.
08:13But if you had that type of speed, it doesn't matter how tall you are.
08:17But if he's not that type of fast, like where some of the other guys are,
08:21some of the guys you just mentioned, like, yeah, if we can put him on the practice squad
08:26and he can go make a fine living on the practice squad,
08:29there's nothing that tells me, hey, if we get an injury,
08:31you might not be the first guy up depending on the size of other guys.
08:35But, yeah, we could see him in a regular season Browns game and even at home at some point.
08:39Because I think the fans just, if you're going to be in an entertainment business,
08:43part of that is entertainment.
08:44They want to be entertained.
08:46And if I'm just going, well, cold-blooded, all right, that's fine as we get ready for a season.
08:50But in December, if he's still around, I think maybe some people would like him to get a crack at
08:54him.
08:54And then if you do the lineups, you announce him,
08:57and then as the fans are cheering real crazy, you go, and Deshaun Watson.
09:00Yeah, you Trojan horse it.
09:01That's what you do.
09:02That's what we did with Nick Chubb.
09:03Right.
09:04And that was one, Joe on the Highway, where we were very right about it.
