Update: I recently discovered a medical clinic office manager I had spoken with in May, 2022 at AFC (American Family Care) Urgent Care Cahaba Village (3000 Cahaba Village Pl STE 110, Birmingham, AL 35243), using the nickname "Sadler" is actually State Of Alabama licensed medical doctor, Christopher Blake Thomas MD. In my recorded calls in this video you will hear he refused to give me his first and last name when asked.
I cite a television interview (https://www.wvtm13.com/article/mountain-brook-doctor-sees-big-surge-in-covid-patients-at-clinic/37165650) with WVTM NBC 13 & play my telephone recordings back to back, the voices are identical.
I called this clinic trying to speak with Dr. Blake Thomas MD, whose name appears on medical records from a misdiagnosed X-Ray I had in 2019 but was only allowed to speak to this "office manager". I was told no injuries appeared there but almost died a few months later when 6 inches diameter of infection set into my jaw and head (visible in subsequent MRI). I obtained my records from this visit & a several inch diameter anomaly is visible in the same area where broken skull bone and infection appears in other images. AFC would not help me get this error corrected, I paid $175 for the visit.
I find these practices to be unprofessional in a business sense and medically unethical.
I found AFC American Family Care Urgent Care staff uses Pseudonyms / nicknames / single names in their clinics. "Sadler" / "Saddler" who claimed to be the office manager of Cahaba Village clinic refused to give me his first and last name (red flag / scam alert). The websites of this clinic do not mention who their staff and doctors are. Birmingham, AL.
After 1 month of trying to call American Family Care (AFC) urgent care in Birmingham, Alabama, I am told by office manager "Sadler" of Cahaba Village (near Mountain Brook), Birmingham, Alabama that there is nothing they will do to correct a misdiagnosed 2019 X-Ray I had taken. Sadler would not give me his name (he deals with the public every day) or say who he spoke to in the company about my issue.
Dr. Blake Thomas MD's name appears as supervisor to nurse Kimberly Kelly on the top of records I received from a 2019 American Family Care, Birmingham, AL. visit in 2019 (I was a patient). I tried to call him about my misdiagnosed X-Ray, in which Dr. Ana Maria Echenique M.D. recorded no injuries present therein. I knew this was in error. When I got the images I found evidence of broken skull bone and head trauma, CSF fluid and parasites filled this wound. Appears in these X-Ray images as 3 inch diameter translucent oval between skull and cervical areas.
This video focuses on American Family Care (afc Parkway) and Doctors Ana Maria Echenique M.D. (Experity Teleradiology).

00:00All right, so to see everything that happened to me regarding my injury, please see my YouTube channel, My Medical
00:08Nightmare.
00:10Back in May 2022, I tried to contact a doctor whose name appears on the top of my medical records
00:21that I got from a misdiagnosed x-ray.
00:27Now, Dr. Blake Thomas, M.D., he was supposed to be supervising the nurse that facilitated this x-ray for
00:37me, Kimberly Kelly.
00:42In my x-ray, it was further analyzed by a radiologist, Dr. Anna Maria Echnik, outsourced through Xperity.
00:54I was told I had no injuries appear in this x-ray.
00:58I'll put the images up here, and you can see that this was not the case.
01:03I have a translucent oval about three inches in diameter that appears here.
01:09And in other MRI and CT that I've had, ancillary to this, there is evidence of broken bone in the
01:21underside of my skull and infection.
01:23This doctor's name appears on his state-issued Alabama medical license as Christopher Blake Thomas.
01:36Expiration date, 12-31-2022.
01:39And yeah, after you listen to this call, if you are charged with extending this doctor's medical license or granting
01:49him a new license,
01:50please bear in mind what I'm about to present in this video.
01:55I found out that this doctor was physically based, not at the AFC Urgent Care Clinic, where I had my
02:06x-ray done.
02:08But his practice at the time was located on the other side of Birmingham, Alabama, USA,
02:16at 3000 Cahaba Village, Play Suite 110, Birmingham, Alabama, 35243.
02:24This is also technically the city of Mountain Brook, Alabama.
02:30Following my introduction, I will play both calls that I had with a gentleman who identified himself simply by the
02:40single name of Sadler.
02:42And that's spelled S-A-D-L-E-R.
02:46And he identified himself as the office manager of the American Family Care, AFC Urgent Care.
02:54And when I asked this office manager for his first and last name, he refused to give it to me.
03:02Also, you'll hear in my other calls with AFC, almost all of the staff that deals with the public in
03:10American Family Care around Birmingham, Alabama,
03:12They are using pseudonyms, fake names, and nicknames.
03:18They go by single names.
03:20They don't use the first and last name.
03:22And this is unprofessional in business.
03:27This is medically unethical.
03:30All right, so I have a major update in this situation.
03:35I did some research, and I found out the true identity of the office manager, Sadler, of the Cahaba Village
03:47AFC Urgent Care.
03:49The person that I was talking to the entire time, this was Dr. Christopher Blake Thomas, M.D.
04:00All right, so here I'll show proof that the office manager and state of Alabama licensed physician, Dr. Christopher Blake
04:11Thomas,
04:11And you can verify this for yourself by going to the website of Birmingham, Alabama, television station, WVTM, channel 13.
04:32And I'll include the link in here.
04:35They did an interview with Dr. Blake Thomas, July 29, 2021.
04:44And there's video and audio of this doctor.
04:48And listen and watch this, and then go listen to my recorded phone calls.
04:54And it's the exact same voice.
04:56And this report was done by anchor Sarah Killian.
05:01And that's why he's encouraging patients with these symptoms, whether they're vaccinated or not, to get tested.
05:07It's not the time to be chalking this up to your typical, I get a sinus infection this time of
05:11year, or an allergy flare-up.
05:13If you have any of those symptoms, you really should get tested, because you don't want to find out after
05:16the fact that you were positive.
05:19Now, Dr. Thomas.
05:21Hi, I see Cahaba Village. How can I help you?
05:23Yes, sir. Who am I speaking with?
05:25My name is Sadler. I'm the office manager here.
05:28Okay.
05:30Yes, sir. I was waiting to talk to Dr. Blake Thomas, MD.
05:36Okay. I believe the lady in front was talking with you, and I heard her say it's true.
05:41It's not the time to be chalking this up to your typical, I get a sinus infection this time of
05:45year, or an allergy flare-up.
05:46If you have any of those symptoms, you really should get tested, because you don't want to find out after
05:50the fact that you were positive.
05:51And yet, it's totally unacceptable that this doctor is allowed to operate in this location,
05:59not reveal his true name to people that he is speaking with, patients that had been under his care, such
06:06as myself.
06:07And yet, another thing this doctor is doing, he's posing under different assumed identities, false identities.
06:18He is a doctor.
06:19He's not an office manager.
06:22People out here on the street, we don't have time to play these games with these millionaire doctors.
06:29Up there on Highway 280, Mountain Brook, you think you've got standards, and you're protected by the illusion of wealth.
06:39As you'll see in many of my videos, what I've discovered are trying to pursue recourse in a major case
06:48of medical misdiagnosis.
06:51Is that doctors and nurses out there, they're so used to telling people anything, and getting away with it, and
06:59getting by with it, that they just keep on, because they think they're not going to get caught.
07:06So please listen to my discourse with this medical clinic office manager, with this new knowledge, misrepresenting himself, and failing
07:19to disclose his identity as a licensed medical practitioner in the state of Alabama.
07:25Welcome to American Family Care. The right care, right now.
07:30Let's see who can help you.
07:31Yes, ma'am. I'm trying to get in touch with Dr. Blake Thomas.
07:36He's currently with patients. Can he return your call?
07:40Yeah, you know, this is the third day I've been trying to call and talk to him. If I came
07:43down there in person, would you let me talk to him?
07:47In order for you to talk to me, you would have to schedule an appointment, sir.
07:51Okay, why won't he call me back? I've got a misdiagnosed x-ray here.
07:56I'm not sure, sir. I'm not exactly sure what the reason behind your call is either.
08:01I haven't been here the past few days.
08:03But I can... What was the reason? What do you need?
08:07What do I need? I was misdiagnosed, and your doctor's name appears on this report.
08:13I had a head trauma, a broken skull, almost died from this injury.
08:16Needed to be corrected, please.
08:18Is this x-ray taken? Yeah.
08:19Okay, yeah, this was 2019.
08:25Alright, let me go and see if I can get to him.
08:28Yeah, I mean...
08:30You said he already called up here?
08:31I've been calling for the last two days. This is, like, so important.
08:36Yeah, I understand. I feel you. Here, give me one...
08:39Yeah, the way it seems is the doctor's trying to avoid me, and I want to know what's going on
08:44with this stuff.
08:46I doubt that's the reason, sir, but let me go ahead and speak to him.
08:50I see Kyle Villas. How can I help you?
08:52Yes, sir. Who am I speaking with?
08:55My name is Sadler. I'm the office manager here.
08:58Okay.
08:58I'm calling Kyle Villas location.
08:59Yes, sir. I was waiting to talk to Dr. Blake Thomas, MD.
09:05Okay, um, I believe the lady up front was talking with you, and I heard her say,
09:10geez, and clank, and that is true.
09:12So, is there anything I can help you with?
09:13I think they've mentioned your name before, and I think I have something right here from you.
09:20Well, that's interesting, because she never asked me for my name or my information.
09:26Um, I'm going to ask, could you call the other day as well?
09:29I think you called the previous day or something like that, maybe?
09:31Well, don't you guys get a lot of calls?
09:35Uh, we do, yes, sir. Yes, sir.
09:37Okay, so how do you know who you're talking to?
09:41Right now?
09:43Yeah, I mean, uh, shouldn't you ask me for my name and my information?
09:48Yeah, uh, they, she, I believe you, because she mentioned that what you were calling about,
09:55and it rang a bell to me that you had called the previous day, and it reminded me of the
09:59exact information.
10:00What do you think I'm calling about?
10:01What am I calling about?
10:03You're calling about an x-ray that happened three years ago?
10:07Uh, I mean, is that an issue?
10:08I almost died from that, uh, injury, and I was misdiagnosed.
10:13You're trying to insult me?
10:14No, no, no, I was not insulting you.
10:16No, I'm saying that's what, the x-ray that you were, like, the incident that happened three years ago,
10:20that's what you were calling about.
10:22Yeah, it was, it's an unresolved, uh, issue as well.
10:28Okay, um...
10:28Okay, so, yeah, okay, so you want to know why I'm calling today?
10:32Sure, yes, sir, yes, sir.
10:33Okay.
10:34I'm trying to, trying to help you.
10:35How, how, how, how, okay, let me ask you a question.
10:37How can you help me?
10:38How do you help patients who are misdiagnosed usually?
10:46Usually, I mean, I take your information down.
10:48I pass it off to who I need to talk to and try to push up the chains
10:51and, you know, see who is available to do that
10:55and who needs to be the one that needs to facilitate that.
10:58Okay, well, I'll give you a summary of what happened to me.
11:01No problem.
11:02All right, so, okay, so, yeah, 2019, it was May.
11:07I went to American Family Care.
11:10That's Parkway, Wobuck, Birmingham, Alabama.
11:15I had very serious neck pain.
11:16I thought my neck was broken.
11:17So I went into AFC.
11:20I paid $175.
11:21I saw nurse Kimberly Kelly, and she directed me to have an X-ray done.
11:27Had the X-ray done.
11:29She stuck her head in the waiting area, told me I was good to go.
11:33I had no injuries that showed up in this X-ray, okay?
11:36Okay, I'm sitting there, and I know I've got a broken bone somewhere in my neck.
11:41And I protested this.
11:44I brought this up to her.
11:45I was told to go to Cooper Green Hospital if I needed further treatment.
11:52So I got the copy of the records, all right?
11:55And here's what's interesting about those records, okay?
11:59Experity doctor Anna Maria Echnik, M-D-D-A-B-R.
12:04She's not in Alabama.
12:06She looked at this X-ray scan for American Family Care.
12:10And in her report, she also said, I had no injuries.
12:14Now, here's the issue.
12:16In those X-ray pictures that were taken at American Family Care in Birmingham, all right,
12:22there appears a very serious head trauma, a broken skull bone injury in the basilar area of my skull.
12:31It's in the occipital condyle, condular canal, possibly my foramen magnum is also fractured.
12:38This is a very serious injury, and I almost died from this.
12:42I was misdiagnosed in this visit.
12:44Well, let's get to Dr. Blake Thomas.
12:48This doctor's name appears on my records as the supervisor to this nurse, Kimberly Kelly, okay?
12:54Okay, that's why I want to talk to Dr. Blake Thomas.
12:57So, this X-ray was misdiagnosed.
13:00I need to have this original X-ray acknowledged and as well looked at again, please.
13:08So, how did you, so you went to, did you go to the, did you go to another doctor after?
13:15Okay, yeah, okay.
13:17It's like, yeah, I've been to a lot of doctors and hospitals, sir.
13:22I'm not talking about any other doctor or hospital.
13:24I'm talking about Blake Thomas, Kimberly Kelly, Anna Maria Echnik, and American Family Care, and Xperity Teleradiology.
13:33That's who we're talking about today.
13:35There's an error that appears here, and it's on you guys.
13:39You guys are responsible, and you need to do your job correctly, acknowledge that you did something wrong here, the
13:46error, and just need to make this thing right.
13:48And I've already talked to people about this there.
13:51I mean, I've already answered these questions.
13:52Um, you saw Ms. Kelly, Ms. Kimberly Kelly, right?
13:56Yes, sir.
13:57Um, had the X-ray done, all that stuff.
14:00The visit was completed, and you were, and you were sent to, you were referred out to a, uh, to
14:08another doctor.
14:09And is that what, is that what happened, and you went to another doctor?
14:12Yeah, I mean, uh, yes, sir.
14:15Well, what's interesting about that visit is, I was told I had no injuries.
14:20The radiologist came back and said that I had no injuries in the report.
14:23But here's a strange thing.
14:25If I had no injuries, I was then referred from this visit to an orthopedic doctor, you know, bone doctor,
14:33and a neurologist.
14:35So if I didn't have any injuries, why was I given these referrals?
14:39And that tells me that, you know, maybe something's going on that I'm not being told about.
14:43Uh, okay.
14:47Because, I mean, if they referred you out, I mean, that's, that's not indicative of you having an injury.
14:52It's just that, you know, they're, we send you to specialists that are, like, are more specialized in dealing with,
14:58you know, your issues that you, or the complaints that you had that day.
15:03Okay, well, you know.
15:04Okay, but, I mean, again, if I don't have injuries, why do I need to go to a specialist?
15:08That's $300. That's a lot of money to someone such as myself, sir.
15:12Um, who, who did you see, um, after?
15:16Who did you go to after, uh, after leaving Parkway?
15:19Who, which one of the doctors after that?
15:21Who, who was I referred to?
15:24Yes, I mean, who were you referred to?
15:26You, you should, you should, you should have that information in your records, right?
15:31Yes.
15:32Okay, so yes, you were referred to a neurologist.
15:35Um, let's see.
15:36Referred to a neurologist.
15:38And then was, um, let's see.
15:43We can do here, um, okay, after your visit, um, it was notify a patient, uh, to follow the court,
15:55though, if, um, pain persists.
15:59All right, yeah, I went to the orthopedic doctor.
16:01This is, uh, Perry L. Savage, Sr. at Ortho Alabama Sports.
16:06It's down there near, uh, Trustful.
16:08Uh, this, this visit, this was a total waste of time.
16:11And, uh, he took, I took in, uh, other, uh, CT images and MRI scans that I had done around
16:18the same time.
16:20And, uh, and he looked at these images in, uh, with a straight face and told me that I had
16:24no injuries, uh, in these, uh, images.
16:27You know, as well as the, uh, the AFC x-ray.
16:30That the injury, it appears in, uh, that x-ray.
16:33And that's why I want to call and talk to the doctor, Blake Thomas.
16:37Because if he's a doctor, he can look at those pictures, and he can say, yeah, there's something there.
16:43I can see that.
16:44All right, so, you say, okay, so I got it down that our images do show the injury.
16:49Yeah, they do, yeah.
16:49John Davis, who is the CEO of, uh, Xperity Radiology.
16:54Called in, yep.
16:55You went to, so when, after Dr. Savage, he looked you over and said he got no injuries.
17:01How did you go to after that?
17:03Yeah, I also, I also went to the, uh, neurologist, uh, Kyle Hudgens, MD, uh, Grandview Neurology.
17:09Okay, the Grandview.
17:11Yes, sir.
17:12$300 visit, cash.
17:15Yeah, so when I went to Kyle Hudgens, I also took in, uh, all the pictures, okay?
17:20I took in the images on the CD, took in the American Family Care images, took in, uh, other
17:26MRI, other CT that also show the same injury area.
17:30So, Dr. Kyle Hudgens, he looked at my pictures as well, uh, and he examined me, and, uh, he
17:37also said that, uh, he thought I had just, uh, strained my neck, and this is not the case.
17:43Okay, so he said no injuries as well, uh, strained my neck, okay.
17:47You know, I was referred by AFC to those doctors.
17:49Those doctors were no good, because they didn't help me.
17:51It was a waste of my time and money.
17:54Okay.
17:56Alright, so after Dr. Hudgens, who did you go to after that?
18:00Okay, so after Dr. Hudgens and after Dr. Savage, uh, that's all the information I'm going to share
18:05with you, sir, uh, because, uh, that's my extent of the referrals from AFC.
18:10So what, uh, what I would, uh, direct you to do is inform the doctor and inform American
18:15Family Care the injury, it appears in those pictures, and they need to, uh, focus on that
18:20problem, uh, trying to figure out what happened.
18:24I understand, and I, I mean, I feel terrible that if, you know, if we missed it, then I
18:28understand that's upsetting, so, um, you know, I want to make sure that, you know, I want
18:33to make stuff right, so I want to make sure I have my story straight, so that when I talk
18:36to, do I need to talk to, um, that I can relay it effectively, and, you know, approach.
18:42And another thing, um, you know, I talk to a lot of people at American Family Care, I
18:46had a lot of obligations that people would call me, and my calls have never been returned.
18:51I've been calling them here recently for the last month since first week of April.
18:55So, when do you, when do you think I'll get a call?
18:59Um, well, I will, I will push this up the chain today, um, I'll make some phone calls
19:04today, and get some people on the phone today, and, uh, before I leave today at five, um, I'll
19:10call you back and let you know what I find out, um, because, you know, if you haven't got
19:15a response back yet, I'll at least tell you that that's what I got.
19:18Okay.
19:19My name is Sadler, and I'm calling you back from AFC, um, just wanted to follow back up
19:25with you, like I said I would, at our earlier conversation, um, and try to give you some
19:30information that I found out.
19:31Welcome to American Family Care, the right care, right now.
19:36American Family Care, can I help you?
19:38Yes, ma'am, can I speak to Sadler, please?
19:41Um, what's the call in reference to?
19:43Hey, I got a call from him, uh, yesterday afternoon, and he said he had a message for me.
19:47Do you remember why you called him?
19:49Like, what, what, like I said, what's it in reference to?
19:52Okay, yeah, I had a, uh, misdiagnosed, uh, x-ray through AFC.
19:58AFC, I can help you.
20:00I got your message yesterday afternoon.
20:02Uh, did you have some information for me?
20:05Yes, sir.
20:05Hey, uh, yeah, I tried to give you a call back, and, uh, you're unavailable, unfortunately,
20:10so.
20:10Yeah, it's kind of busy, sorry.
20:13No, no, it works, that's fine.
20:15Um, that's why I left you a voicemail, so.
20:16Thanks.
20:17Um, you're welcome.
20:19Uh, so, yesterday I did, I did some digging, uh, I tried, I called some of our internal
20:25customer service people, um, and talked with them about your issue and what's been going
20:29on, and, uh, and unfortunately, there's, right now, there's not, we're not going to
20:34be able to, uh, acquiesce to your request of any kind of letter, anything that you're
20:42really, you're after, unfortunately.
20:45Okay, well, the problem is here, uh, we've got, uh, money paid, I paid you guys to do
20:50a job, and the job wasn't done properly, and so you're telling me that, um, your company,
20:57uh, you, there's nothing you're going to be able to do about that.
21:01I mean, you, I mean, you paid for the visit, I mean, the visit was.
21:05Yeah, and I, I paid for an x-ray to be taken, and the x-ray was taken, I was
21:10misdiagnosed,
21:11injuries appear, and so your job as a medical company, uh, you're supposed to take care of
21:16people with injuries, and, uh, you didn't do that in my case.
21:19So, you're telling me that there's nothing you can do about that?
21:23Well, I mean, on, on our end, we did, we, we did what we were supposed to do.
21:28We, you know, as a, as a primary care, urgent care, I mean, that's what we do.
21:32We see people that are, you know, in a, you know, an acute situation, and then we refer
21:38them out to specialists that are more, are better designed to do the job for what your needs
21:44are.
21:44Okay, well, you, you, your answer's not going to be acceptable, because I had injuries.
21:49I came to your clinic to be treated for injuries.
21:52Uh, my injuries were not acknowledged, and so it's on you, and so you, this is your excuse,
21:57this is not going to be acceptable.
22:00Um, I mean, I'm not saying it's an excuse, this is what, this is what I was, I've been
22:05informed that we're not going to be able to give you what you, what you're asking for,
22:09which is a letter or something like that, whatever it may be.
22:11Just do your job, that's what I'm asking for.
22:14You can't even do your job.
22:17I'm, I'm sorry you feel that way, I mean, we, I, I, I, I want the entirety of everything
22:22for our, uh, customer service team.
22:25Yeah, who did, who did you talk to?
22:26Could you give me any names?
22:28Uh, I cannot, no, sir.
22:30Okay, do you have a first name?
22:33Do I have a first name?
22:34I do, yes, sir.
22:36Yeah, and I just go by, like, uh, codenames or something like that.
22:39That's very unprofessional.
22:40Uh, I talk to someone named Astro, uh, if I go to a bar or something, uh, if I talk
22:45to
22:46a, uh, a bartender, uh, like a female, uh, they go by, uh, a name like that because they
22:52don't want, uh, males to hit on them, okay, or try to pick them up.
22:56Uh, if I go to a doctor's office, uh, I need to talk to people with first and last names.
23:03Okay, um, they, we don't use codenames, um, I've never heard of that in my entire life.
23:10Okay, so you, you go by a, a one, a single name.
23:13What's your, what's your first and last name?
23:16Uh, I, I do not feel comfortable giving you my last name, sir.
23:20Okay, well, you're working, you're working in a job where you're dealing with the public,
23:23okay, so, I mean, you should be pretty comfortable.
23:26I understand that.
23:27I understand that, but, I mean, your, your request for what you're asking for, we, we
23:33cannot give you, um, in terms of you saying that we failed to do our job.
23:39You did.
23:39Um, we, okay, well, I'm very sorry that you feel that way.
23:43You know, but.
23:44I won't, I won't be the only one who feels that way, that's for sure.
23:49Okay, well, I, I, I do apologize for that, but you, you know, I feel your care was, was
23:53adequate.
23:54Yeah, and I mean, you know, you guys are up there near Mountain Brook.
23:57I mean, this stuff is totally unacceptable.
23:59Like I said before, we're not able to acquiesce your request for what you're, what you're asking
24:04for.
24:04I'm sorry.
