00:00For all the details on what happened to me regarding my injury, 100 hours plus a video now.
00:06YouTube channel My Medical Nightmare.
00:08All right, so every couple of months, you'll see a review similar to this next one, Surface,
00:15in regards to urgent care software and services provider, Xperity.
00:22They provide electronic medical records management, patient engagement, revenue cycle, billing,
00:32teleradiology, business intelligence, and overall practice management.
00:37I had some negative dealings with Xperity back in 2019.
00:42I was a patient at American Family Care in Birmingham, Alabama.
00:46I'll go more into my issues later on in the video.
00:49But to the review posted at the end of September, 2026, this is by a client.
00:58They pay and use the Xperity services in their day-to-day business operations.
01:04They write, our clinics have used this service for several years.
01:08We have an account issue and have called and emailed for three weeks.
01:14Nobody responds, and when you create a ticket and wait for a return call, they tell you they
01:22don't handle accounts and have no idea who does.
01:26So this company can send bills but not answer questions about them.
01:31Not good.
01:33Also, fees have increased, but nobody called or wrote us about the raises.
01:39They simply started billing at a higher rate.
01:44Very frustrated and completely disappointed.
01:47I suppose if you want to be paid, you will have to call at some point.
01:52By the way, this is the current complaint.
01:55Last year's complaint is they do not credit you for misreads.
02:00I had a similar experience trying to follow up my x-ray misread with Xperity doctor Anna Maria
02:08Echnik, M-D-D-A-B-R.
02:10Xperity also gave me a huge runaround.
02:13They made obligations that they did not honor, eventually telling me I had to go to AFC to
02:22get them to get in touch to either re-read the imagery or correct the mistake.
02:30They simply tossed the football back and forth between one another, and I never got any results
02:36out of this.
02:37Yeah, what you'll observe about Xperity is there's a lot of expenditure that goes into
02:44a shiny, glossy facade around their business efforts.
02:49When you penetrate this and you get down to the substance, you're dealing with something
02:56very impotent and very feeble.
02:58This area of customer support, this is where the rubber meets the road, and you can see where
03:04they come down.
03:05Next observation, last year's complaint is they do not credit you for misreads.
03:10So this also happened in my case.
03:12The injury can be observed in the x-ray image.
03:16I was not credited as a patient for this misread.
03:21Xperity denied responsibility.
03:24AFC Urgent Care would not work with me to get a correction.
03:30My issues with both AFC and Xperity are outstanding and resolved as of October 2026.
03:39According to their press release, Xperity was formed through the culmination of Practice
03:45Velocity and DocuTap and provides technology solutions to more than 5,700 urgent care practices
03:53across the United States.
03:55What's interesting is that figure has been changed in their newer press releases after
04:022022, they now don't name the number of practices that they're involved with, but simply state
04:10over 50% of the U.S. urgent care market runs on Xperity solutions.
04:17Owned by GTCR since 2022, March.
04:21I found out about Xperity when I had an x-ray done at an American Family Care AFC Urgent Care
04:30Clinic in Birmingham, Alabama in 2019.
04:35Anna Maria Agni, MDD-OBR.
04:38She wrote, no injuries appeared in the images.
04:41I got the images, and I'll put them in this video again, and you can see that I have a
04:47translucent anomaly beneath my skull in the area of the first, second vertebrae, about
04:53three or four inches in diameter here.
04:56I later found out I had broken the underside of my skull, and I almost died from this injury.
05:02Again, I was told no injury appeared.
05:04I called the number that appeared below this doctor's name in the urgent care medical records
05:11I obtained, and it led to this company, Xperity.
05:16I had a lot of problems dealing with Xperity.
05:19They are not responsible or accountable professionally.
05:23That's my experience.
05:25Their employees engage in social engineering tactics, as was in my case.
05:30Yeah, the profile of this company, extremely suspicious.
05:34You'll see here, they advertise, meet us in Vegas, as in the gambling capital of the
05:41United States, Las Vegas, Nevada.
05:43Let's meet at the UCA annual convention, April 30 through May 4 at Caesars Palace, booth 301.
05:51Place your bets on Xperity.
05:53So here they associate themselves with luck or being winners at games of chance.
05:59Not something that you can afford if you're a patient looking for health care.
06:04You don't want these type of games being played with your well-being.
06:08I will suggest you visit the website Indeed.com.
06:12There you will find many reviews of employees of businesses and companies.
06:21Just type in the hospital or medical network that you frequent.
06:27And you may be surprised at what you see.
06:30All right, so in my own case, my own issues were never resolved.
06:34I contacted the CEO of Xperity.
06:38You can go hear those phone calls at the video channel.
06:41Dr. David Stern, MD.
06:43The AFC, American Family Care Urgent Care Clinic, where I had the x-ray done.
06:49I tried to contact them with getting Xperity to make their errors right, and they reneged on that.
06:58They would not correct these issues.
07:00But interestingly, they know what happened to me, and I believe they still have a partnership with Xperity.
07:08So if you go to AFC Urgent Care and had a feeling you got a wrong diagnosis, you might want
07:16to go back and look at your records also.
07:18I took my issues to the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners and filed complaints regarding these issues.
07:27They would not help me get this matter corrected.
07:30My complaints were thrown out.
07:31They're lazy.
07:32I found out a state of Alabama licensed medical doctor, Christopher Blake Thomas, MD, who is supposed to be supervising
07:41this x-ray in my examination by Nurse Kimberly Kelly.
07:47This doctor was answering the telephone at an AFC, American Family Care Urgent Care, using a false name, claiming he
07:57was an office manager,
07:59and not revealing the fact that he was, in fact, a doctor.
08:02If you're out there and you're looking into problems involving Xperity, please investigate further.
08:11They've apparently gotten away with many, many offenses and transgressions against multiple parties, clients, associates, etc.
