00:13Well in Australia we do that two ways. The first is how we create and transfer knowledge and we do
00:20that through things like seminars and workshops and conferences and our biggest conference is
00:26all every two years and attracts over a thousand people so it's a fantastic opportunity to share
00:32knowledge. The second element is networking and collaboration by joining such things as Women
00:38in Energy and NGN and currently we have well over 500 members in our NGN cohort. The third area is
00:47our mirror panels that are Australian panels that mirror the work of the 16 study committees
00:53and we have about 400 plus people on those panels. So the value for membership comes from the
01:01opportunity to be at events, to be on panels and to collaborate through things like NGN and WIE
01:08initiatives. And that's what we do in Seagore Australia.
01:20Grid resilience and flexibility will be highly driven by a combination of advanced software like energy
01:27management system or advanced distribution management systems combined for example with
01:34the battery energy storage with grid forming. Resilience is also driven by our ability to
01:40interconnect between countries and continents with high voltage DC and finally the stability part of
01:48resilience will be highly driven by new technologies such as East.com or medium voltage UPS namely to
01:55stabilize AI workloads in data centers.
02:08Let me bring this to life with three examples. Firstly, we address real industry challenges bringing
02:15together three working groups experts with different experiences, different perspectives, experience of
02:21different regulatory regimes to define good practice and to make recommendations that both inform and
02:28accelerate decision making. Secondly, we work collaboratively with other organizations such as CRED and NCOE and that's
02:36a big change I've seen in Seagore in my 25 years. When we put the consumer at the heart of
02:42what we do we need
02:43to look at the energy system holistically rather than a single energy vector or within that vector at
02:49be it transmission level or distribution level. Lastly, but by no means least, I'd point to CRED's
02:56African Academy as a great example of where we bring global experts together to share knowledge and to build
03:04capability which we can then transform to make an impact. In the most recent get together we had experts from
03:12the world
03:12reaching out to representatives from 14 different African countries. That's a real life example of taking
03:20knowledge and expertise and transforming it into an impact. Thank you.
03:33So the biggest challenge today are the bottlenecks on the grid and the requirements for affordability and reliability. But there
03:43is a hidden gem. There is a lot of capacity in the current grids that are not fully utilized and
03:50this can be unlocked by better utilizing the grid.
03:54the refurbishment, the refurbishment and upgrades of the existing, extending the lifetime of the existing equipment,
04:01digitalization and monitoring of the assets so they can be utilized to their full extent and having service capabilities who
04:11can immediately act and pre-act on those assets so they can be fully utilized through the life cycle of
04:20the equipment and not just a short time.
