00:01The weather is fairly changeable through the coming few days, with most of us seeing rain
00:06at some point.
00:07It's been a fairly bright and breezy day for many of us, with one or two showers around,
00:11but it's this band of rain here through the night that will gradually push its way south
00:16and eastward.
00:17Fairly short-lived in any one place, though, with that breeze pushing it through.
00:21The temperatures in most places will stay in double figures, but some rural parts of
00:25Scotland might see the temperatures just dip into single figures overnight.
00:30Thursday then, in that cooler, fresher air, we will feed in more showers.
00:34These will become quite heavy at times and blustery across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
00:39Elsewhere, we will see one or two showers, but they will be fairly short-lived across western
00:43parts under that breeze.
00:45Once this rain clears the far southeast by lunchtime on Thursday, a fairly dry and bright
00:51day for most of us in central southern England.
00:55Temperatures then for Thursday afternoon, exactly where we would expect them to be for the middle
01:00of September.
01:02Through Thursday evening, these showers across Scotland and Northern Ireland will persist,
01:06but most places they will start to become fewer and further between, with the skies tending
01:12to become clearer as the night goes on as well.
01:14And in that cooler, fresher air, we will expect Thursday night to just be a little touch cooler
01:19than this coming night.
01:21Friday morning, most places seeing a fine and bright start across the south.
01:26The clouds starting to build, though, ahead of this further frontal system that will push
01:31in from the west.
01:32This one bringing much more steady rain and fairly set in once it does start.
01:37It's the far south and east, though, that look most likely to remain dry.
