John Keim from ESPN joins The Kevin Sheehan Show to discuss the latest updates on Jayden Daniels' elbow injury, evaluating the choice between wearing a brace or opting for season-ending surgery. Keim also breaks down Washington's defensive collapse against the Dallas Cowboys, Mikey Sainristil's coverage struggles, and how the team must adapt offensively under Marcus Mariota while managing a growing list of injuries.

00:00John Keim joins us right now.
00:03We're going to carry Quinn live because there is a possibility something will be disclosed.
00:09What is your guess?
00:10Are we going to hear anything at 1230 today about Jaden Daniels' injury?
00:15So I kind of lean to what you're saying that we may not know fully yet.
00:20And I say that like he did visit two specialists yesterday.
00:24I think those are the two he's going to see.
00:26So I'm not sure that he's going to see one today.
00:28If he has another one today, then no, we would not.
00:30But no, like after those visits, now you have to huddle, decide a plan, and they're going to consult with
00:36the doctors here, et cetera.
00:37I don't know if you're going to have all that done by 1230.
00:40So, you know what I mean?
00:41So I just I don't know that we're going to get the update that, you know, people would like just
00:46to have one way or another.
00:49But I just I it's hard to say, Kevin, but that just knowing how much we go into this decision,
00:55unless they were huddling last night, then I think it would it might take this morning to come up with
01:01a plan.
01:01And, you know, unless there's an obvious, obvious thing, if the if the specialist, you know, examine him and say
01:07the elbow feels stable.
01:09I know it's your second one, but it feels OK.
01:11You feel you're good.
01:13You're good to go.
01:14Like short of that, then I think it's like if there's decisions to be made, et cetera, then I think
01:18it could take a little bit more.
01:20But we'll see.
01:21Yeah, it wouldn't shock me if there is at least one more, you know, get together with a specialist or
01:29a consultation of some sort.
01:30We'll see. I'm is it as easy, do you think, to say that the answer is going to be either
01:39a surgery, B, wear a brace in play once this thing is healed in a few weeks?
01:46I mean, those are kind of the options, right?
01:49And it's just I think the difficult part is now and I know you've talked to doctors.
01:53We've all talked to them and I'm going to guess they say the same thing, that after you have a
01:58second one, the likelihood of needing surgery is higher.
02:01And it's just whether or not that's true in this case, the likelihood is higher.
02:07And, you know, and then the likelihood of injuring it again is higher.
02:11And that a brace doesn't guarantee that it's going to protect you if you fall a certain way.
02:19So, like, we know all that.
02:21So, like, one guy was like, because there's so many games left, it's hard to imagine it doesn't happen again.
02:26But again, this guy hasn't evaluated the elbow.
02:31He just is speaking generally.
02:33So, you know, I think, like, those seem to be the options.
02:35I don't know what other ones there would be, you know, but then it's like, is it repair or reconstructive
02:40surgery?
02:41Right.
02:42And then, like, how much time would you miss if you have to wear, if you're going to wear a
02:46brace, you know,
02:48would they bring him back after only a few weeks, knowing that last year when that happened, he re-aggravated
02:56the injury.
02:56He did not dislocate it again against Minnesota.
02:58He re-aggravated because he fell on it on his side.
03:01It wasn't the same sort of – it wasn't a re-injury.
03:04It was a re-aggravation.
03:05So, knowing all that, like, would you be more apt to be a little bit more conservative bringing him back?
03:13By the way, I think you just gave everybody something that was a bit vague and non-specific about the
03:22Minnesota play,
03:23which was – it was a re-aggravation.
03:26It wasn't another dislocation.
03:29They didn't say it was another dislocation, but they did say it was the elbow.
03:32But it's interesting what you said about, you know, you've had – you've talked to orthopedics.
03:37I've had one on the show.
03:39I've talked to others.
03:40They're all essentially in line with, look, after the first one, the chance of recurrence is so low,
03:48and the operation percentage is very, very low.
03:52So nothing was mishandled about the first one.
03:55Correct.
03:56The second one being a re-aggravation is, I guess, more of an extension of, yeah, he didn't dislocate it,
04:03so we didn't have a second dislocation.
04:06So I'm just trying to get to – I'm not trying to defend the team, but I'm just, you know,
04:10connecting the dots here.
04:12I don't think anything untoward or – there was no negligence involved in the handling of either one of these
04:19two injuries last year.
04:21Do you agree or not?
04:22No, I would agree.
04:24Based on what I know, I agree with that, right, based on what I know.
04:28And so that's all I can go by.
04:30And not just talking to people there, but also other doctors who all said the same thing, exactly what you
04:36said.
04:36The chance of recurrence is like the one guy I talked to yesterday said 1% to 2%.
04:40And I know you had someone on who said about the same thing.
04:42So when you know that – and this guy was like, even if there's – because the other thing that
04:48I was – I talked to somebody very close to the situation.
04:53It was like, oh, there was no ligament damage.
04:54The doctors – a couple of doctors said, no, there's always some level of ligament damage when you have a
05:00dislocation.
05:01And because I'm not a doctor, I didn't know that, but now I do.
05:06But so you know that.
05:08But that doesn't mean you need surgery to repair it because like the one was like, you know, even though
05:13you know that, like you always are going to go more conservative because of the recurrence percentage is so low.
05:21So like – so knowing all that, like surgery was not an option.
05:25It wasn't like they discussed it and said, like, I'm going to put it off for now because I want
05:29to play, be ready for the start of next year.
05:30There was nothing like that.
05:32So, yeah, so I don't view that as an error by them or him or anybody just based on what
05:40we know.
05:41And so – but now –
05:42We're learning a lot about the elbow, aren't we?
05:44About elbow dislocations.
05:46Yeah, no, for sure.
05:47Dr. Kime joining us on the show with nurse practitioner Kevin Sheehan.
05:51By his side to try to explain all this to you.
05:54Yeah, and it's – you know, you're right.
05:56Like, you know, you start hearing UCLs and LCLs and this thing and that thing, and it's like, okay.
06:02And, you know, what I've learned on this beat is a lot of times it takes you to places you
06:05never thought you'd go.
06:08Well, I mean, being on the beat.
06:10Over the years, it's been incredible.
06:12You've been everywhere with the last regime.
06:15Yeah, I could work in Congress or I could work for a hospital.
06:19Let's go.
06:20You could be a private investigator.
06:22You could – there's a lot of things that you've gotten a lot of experience with your coverage of the
06:28team longer than anybody else on the beat.
06:31I'll remind everybody of that.
06:33At John underscore Kime.
06:35Of course, John covers the team for ESPN.
06:38So if we, with our level of information right now, say the obvious two choices are surgery, which could cost
06:49them most of, if not, the entire season, especially if there's, you know, significant sort of ligament or even bone
06:56issues.
06:58Versus wear a brace, there's risk, but it should also be somewhat protective.
07:05What's your gut?
07:06Tell you how this will end up.
07:08Well, it depends.
07:09Who makes the final call?
07:11Okay.
07:12So who do you think makes the final call?
07:14Well, it's the one guy's body.
07:16So, you know, if it's Jayden Daniels, you know, then it's going to be wear the brace.
07:21If the team steps in and says, like, no, we're going to protect your future, then I could see the
07:25other.
07:26Right.
07:26And I'm not going to say, like, if he wears the brace, I'm not going to sit there and say,
07:30like, oh, the team isn't, I don't, I wouldn't, you know what I mean?
07:33I don't want to go there.
07:34But I'm just saying, like, if it's, if, you know, one side, I think, would err on the side of
07:39caution and the other is going to want to play because that's just who he is.
07:43And so I think like that, then it's a matter of, like, can you protect yourself or not?
07:48And even at, like, you can try to do all the things you can to protect yourself and sometimes stuff
07:54happens.
07:55Like, Sunday was a flukish situation where that stuff happens.
07:59And, you know, we've seen a lot.
08:01I know every time he gets hurt, everybody talks about his body and his size and all that.
08:05I see a lot of other guys who are big get hurt, too, you know?
08:08And so there are multiple quarterbacks who got hurt on Sunday or Monday.
08:16And so, you know, but fluke stuff happens in this game.
08:19And are you able to protect it?
08:22And, like, that's going to be the tricky part.
08:25And does a brace fully, fully protect you from it?
08:29And you talk to some people, say it's more mental than it is physical with the brace, that it helps
08:34you more mentally.
08:35Others will say, like, it can do some things, but it can't do all.
08:38And then, you know, so I think there's, for me, there's still a little bit of gray area with that.
08:43Like, when does it protect you?
08:45And someone else, like, you know, if it's not, if the elbow isn't straightened, then how do you can't, you
08:49know, the elbow dislocates when it's straightened, you know?
08:52And so if it's not held straightened, can you dislocate it?
08:55I don't know.
08:55So I think if it is up to Jaden, I mean, we know what kind of competitor he is.
09:01You watch him play, you know he's going to want to play.
09:03He doesn't want to have to leave again.
09:06But the hard part is the risk involved.
09:09Like, right now there's no bone fracture.
09:11That's good.
09:13So the risk would be if he does play and then hurts it again, is there then a bone fracture?
09:19And then how does that complicate the road moving forward?
09:22You know, if it's just as, you know what I mean?
09:24So I think those are all the things.
09:26This is why, like, it's, you know, you can't just gather at 10 a.m. this morning by 10.30
09:31and say, okay, let's go.
09:31We're done.
09:32You know, I think there's going to be a lot of discussion about this to make sure you're right and
09:37that you are on the same page.
09:39And, you know, I mean, shoot, Daniels would have played earlier last year than when he came back.
09:45In every case, you know, that's just kind of who is.
09:48But the team said no.
09:50And so, you know, we'll see.
09:53Yeah, do you have a sense?
09:56I think I asked the guy that was on with us yesterday, like, if it was a brace, how long
10:01it would be.
10:02And he said they do have to let it heal before he goes out there, even with a brace, even
10:09though Kurt Warner told us all that he threw a brace on and played the following week.
10:12But what is your guess as to if they go brace or, you know, if they all decide, you know,
10:19one, they're going to they're going to present, obviously, and on the same page.
10:26Yeah, they have to.
10:27This is what we've come to, whether it's true or not.
10:30Whether, correct.
10:31Right.
10:32So what's your guess on how many weeks he would miss?
10:36Oh, and that's the problem is it's a flat out guess.
10:39And I mean, what do you miss?
10:41Like last year, it was what, four games?
10:43I think it was four weeks, three, three games, four weeks.
10:46Yeah.
10:46So I would at least that like, I don't know how you could bring them back with again without knowing
10:53what it's because they might say like, oh, there's nothing really whatever.
10:56Whatever, I don't know.
10:57And then in that case, do they then say, OK, you can come back about the same amount of time,
11:02you know, based on their evaluation.
11:04I would think that it might be a little bit longer just based on just based on history, you know,
11:12his history.
11:13Does that factor into it for them?
11:15And, you know, but the other part is we'll know if they put them on IR, we know it's at
11:20least four games.
11:21So I would, you know, again, you talk to some who say like, because of what happened last year and
11:27he came back and then re-aggravated it, even though it wasn't a dislocation, you still was still certainly susceptible
11:33to something.
11:34Like, does that factor into maybe this time going a week or two longer?
11:38And if so, how does that help?
11:41How does that extra week or two help?
11:43Does it allow it, you know, does it make, how big a difference does that make?
11:47Like, I don't, that, that, again, I'm still in the process of getting that medical degree, Kevin.
11:52I'm just at the very beginning of the elbow, you know, education.
11:56I mean, it took you about three years to get the law degree, actually about four or five, because you
12:01went at nights while you were still covering the team.
12:05We're talking, of course, to John Kime.
12:07Yeah, you know, on the list of things that you have covered over the years, and I have been on
12:13the air for or even just a fan of,
12:16that was one of the all-time kind of moments for me that was not only stunning in the moment,
12:25but really heartbreaking in the moment, gutting in the moment.
12:30You know, we as fans and we in media have been through a lot of this stuff with the team,
12:35obviously the RG3 Seattle game, et cetera.
12:38But where does that one rank for you?
12:41Pretty, pretty high because of, for a couple reasons.
12:44One, you know, like, yeah, your media, I know these guys.
12:49Like, you know these, you know all of them.
12:52You know what they put into it.
12:53You know the work that he's done to get back.
12:55You know how good it can be.
12:56You know what he means to the team, to the city, to the fans, et cetera.
13:00And, you know, because of all that, all that plays into it.
13:04So, you know, you're not a robot up there.
13:06Like, it's hard to watch because that's, that's, you know, again, you're not a robot.
13:11So, like, that was, it was just hard to watch because you know all of that, all those factors.
13:16And you know how, not just, you know, then from a player perspective, you know how well he was playing.
13:21And, you know, you certainly find a groove, like, he's looking like the 2024 version.
13:27And like, and that is fun to watch.
13:30And, you know, so I think all that goes into it and it makes it, as far as injuries go,
13:37now, again, we still need to find out more.
13:40But it's why I think it resonates so hard.
13:44And then the history of it too.
13:46And, you know, if last year hadn't happened like that, it'd be like, that's bad.
13:50But like, now it's like, okay, what does this mean for his future in the NFL?
13:55You know, I mean, he can, we know he can play, but can he stay healthy?
13:59And like, that's the big thing.
14:01And there's so much hope around him that that's one thing with this fan base.
14:05I know that they know that every time it feels like there's hope, it's dashed.
14:09And, and so at some point, like, they kind of need to be rewarded for their patience.
14:15But, um, so like all that goes into it, Kevin.
14:19And so it has to, you know, where it ranks as far as things like, it's just, it's, it's tough.
14:24It's tough.
14:24It's tough to watch because again, you know what he has put into it and you know what he means.
14:30I was asked, I was on a couple of shows yesterday, late in the afternoon.
14:34And I was asked about what this means for his future.
14:37You just brought it up.
14:38And I just said, look, there's so much context around, uh, what it would be in January when
14:44the season ends.
14:45I, I, it's hard to predict, but my gut tells me it's not more, it's, it's, it's, I'll, I'll,
14:52I'll guarantee it.
14:53He's going to get a massive contract extension at some point from somebody.
14:59And I think it'll be this team.
15:01What do you think?
15:02I do too.
15:03I, I'm not ready to dismiss the rest of his career for this.
15:08Like, especially if they're able to, let's say, let's say he needs surgery.
15:14When you talk to these doctors, like it's actually, there's a really, um, positive outcome when
15:20it comes to that, like for the rest of his career, like there's, there's a very positive
15:23outcome.
15:24So if that's the road they go, um, then, you know, I don't, you know, would, if that's
15:30the one pickup for him right now, then I would feel pretty good about him moving forward.
15:37But you still like, so I, I still believe that he has a future in the NFL.
15:42He's just, he's too good of a player.
15:44And it's just, you know, there've been other quarterbacks who have had a lot of injuries
15:47in their first few years.
15:49And then there are, then they, Joe Burrell, like Stafford, Matthew Stafford.
15:53So like, there are guys who, there are some, some of those players that exist.
15:57So there's no chance I'm giving up on this guy before, before I know for sure.
16:04I am extinguishing every chance with him because of what, you know, he can do.
16:10And, um, you know, like that's, so that's where I would be at.
16:13I, and I know some people are going to say like, oh, draft one, this, there's not a quarterback
16:17in this coming draft.
16:18I said, like, I'd rather have him than Jaden Daniels.
16:21Even at, with all this, you know, I'd rather take the risk with him and say like, let's ride
16:26this out.
16:27See, see where it goes and, you know, et cetera.
16:29And if in a few years I'm willing to take that risk because of how good he can be, um,
16:34for you, if he's able to stay healthy.
16:36And that is of course, that if is pretty big, you know, um, you actually kind of made the
16:42case for an alternative answer from Jaden.
16:46I'm not predicting this cause I'm with you.
16:47I think he's going to want to play and wear the brace and the whole thing, but because this
16:52injury, first of all is flukish secondly with surgery, it's repaired.
16:59The prognosis is incredibly positive in terms of whether or not it would ever happen again,
17:04that somebody in his inner circle could make the case that having surgery now means, you
17:12know, every, you chalk this, it's a flukish injury, two straight years, the most serious
17:17of all the injuries.
17:18This isn't a guy who's been broken by bigger physical people because he's got a small frame,
17:24uh, not at this point anyway.
17:25And you can then make the case, Hey, we're coming back in 27 without this ever being an
17:31issue again.
17:32I think he's going to say, no, I want to wear the brace.
17:35I want to play.
17:36And I want us to, to go have ourselves a season as my good friend, Steve Saban.
17:40I definitely think, cause he like, he is an intense competitor.
17:44There's, there's, if it's left to him, I don't think there's any doubt.
17:49But you get what I'm saying, right?
17:50Yes, I do.
17:51I do.
17:51Somebody around him might say, Hey, if you miss the rest of the year for this surgery,
17:56this is a fluke thing.
17:57And now this injury won't be a conversation, uh, centerpiece for anything moving forward
18:03because the prognosis is so great, but I, I agree with you.
18:07I agree with you.
18:08Um, all right.
18:09So we wait on, you know, a decision that probably is one of the above brace plays in
18:16a few weeks, no brace, probably surgery and out for the significant majority of the season,
18:23if not the entire season.
18:24And I, and I want to stress here too, when we talk to these doctors, like they do not
18:28examine him.
18:29So they're just giving an in general situation and outlook because like, you know, you can
18:34talk to people over there and like, I think they may have a different outlook.
18:37Going into this.
18:39So, and you know, but who, so who knows?
18:41Like that's, that's the hard part.
18:43You're talking about the doctors that we have on our shows.
18:46Yeah.
18:46Yeah.
18:46Yeah.
18:47Yeah.
18:47Yeah.
18:47Like, and so like, just when they're saying this, it's speaking generally, but it's coming
18:51from experience and expertise because like the people I talk to, I'm sure you like, these
18:57are noted people in their field.
19:00And, um, but that's, but it's, but without examining it, because like, yeah, there's a chance
19:04that this is also the outcome.
19:07So it's just, that's the hard part here is a lot of speculation on things that, you know,
19:12we just don't have the best answers, but you can provide possible scenarios for sure.
19:18And, and what is the positive or negative outcome of each scenario?
19:22All right.
19:23Um, we've seen two games, two games hardly makes an NFL season.
19:27It takes a while to really know what you have, but other than, you know, the Jaden situation,
19:34what do you think?
19:36Other than the play, Mrs. Lincoln?
19:37Yeah.
19:38Other than the play, Mrs. Lincoln.
19:40Yeah.
19:40Um, other than John, what other than that, how was the play?
19:43How was the play?
19:44Other than that, how was the play?
19:45So, uh, I, I want to know from you what you think we've seen in two weeks.
19:51That is a predictor of things to come and what isn't.
19:57Um, well, I, I would just, I would say, I'm going to tell you what I've been disappointed
20:04in and that's like the big plays allowed by the defense.
20:08Now the, the, the, the little, not asterisk, but the little, there's part of that where
20:14going into the season, you had to figure there's going to be growing pains with this deep end
20:18because there always are, right?
20:19The new system.
20:20And there's like, there are five or six new starters that leaves it.
20:23That's not an excuse because you don't have to give up wide open alleys like they did Sunday
20:28because of that.
20:29But it's not, but I'm not surprised.
20:30Like, okay, there's going to be some hiccups early.
20:33I think the other day it wasn't a hiccup.
20:35That was a pretty loud burp, you know?
20:36So, so I guess with, with the way guys were running open and the confusion at times with
20:42coverages, like there's just too much of that.
20:45And I felt like Dallas would be the wrong team for this defense to play early because
20:51of where they're at in putting this together.
20:53I do like, like, you know, it's funny because like, I felt like they were applying decent
20:59pressure on Dak.
21:00Dak, the problem is when he had a clean pocket, I think, I think our place had him at like
21:0521 for 22.
21:06I think next gen stats had him at 17 for 18 with a clean pocket.
21:09Regardless, that was because the coverage was just not there.
21:14And that to me is, is, is a very concerning thing.
21:18Um, I do think some players it's like, I think Amik Robertson has done a nice job, you know,
21:22with school Douglas, I think there's been some good plays I think, but you need, you need
21:26better.
21:27And is that going in and now with Nick cross, I don't like, it's hard to imagine that he
21:32plays Sunday after staying on overnight in the hospital in Dallas like that.
21:37You don't come back and just play like that.
21:39So that's, that's a, that's a concerning part.
21:43Um, and then the other, the, the hard part, Kevin is again, all these injuries.
21:48So like we're, we're looking at a game Sunday where you're facing the NFL's best defense with
21:55your backup quarterback, backup, left tackle, possibly backup, right guard.
22:01And, and maybe, you know, not your top tight end.
22:05And, and maybe not your top safety and yeah.
22:10Right.
22:10And maybe not your top defensive tackle on Kinlaw.
22:13Right.
22:13We'll see on that.
22:14Correct.
22:14Right.
22:15Exactly.
22:15So just facing, you know, facing that defense with this is, and you could have like, you know,
22:22uh, McVay, Kyle Shannon, those guys have struggled against that defense.
22:26So you have this scenario, you better, your defense, this is what was my, another concern
22:32coming in, like, and same thing last year.
22:34I feel like we're just talking about the same stuff as last year where like, Hey, early
22:39on, the defense is going to have to be a bedrock because of, you know, last year was
22:43the offense was, you know, no Terry and, you know, blah, blah, blah.
22:47And now it's because, because you have all these issues in offense that you have to, you
22:51have to go out there and create something out to happen.
22:53And they haven't been able to do that.
22:55And so like, that to me is concerning.
22:57Can they get it done?
22:58But this is like last week, it was terrible.
23:01It was a bad matchup for their defense.
23:03This, this week, it's a horrendous matchup for their offense.
23:06So, you know, I, I think, you know, NFL is weird.
23:11Like after week one, people are ready to put the giants in a certain spot.
23:15Now, now look a week later, right?
23:18You know, there's weird, bad stuff happens all over the place.
23:21So you have to, when I'm looking, nothing, nothing can be a surprise if you're in a long
23:27time.
23:27And so, but what I would say, what I'd say to what, what this is going to show is how
23:31well have you built this roster?
23:33Can you withstand, what can you withstand with the roster you built?
23:36Cause you couldn't do it last year.
23:38I'd say how well you scheme it up to, you know, yeah, that's fine too.
23:42Yeah.
23:42Yeah.
23:42Yeah.
23:43For sure.
23:43And that's where, and that's where having first time coordinators, does that, does that
23:47hurt?
23:48Because you, you know, I think they can both be good.
23:50And, and, but do you have when, you know, when you have Jaden in there, he can make plays
23:55for you, even if something isn't looking right, you know, it's, it's just different now.
24:01I mean, Marcus can make some plays, but he's not Jaden.
24:03And so it's just different.
24:05So now it will put more of an emphasis on your game planning and all, and the rest.
24:10All right.
24:11One more, uh, and I'll let you run it.
24:12And I appreciate it as always.
24:14Uh, what do you think they're going to do with San Ristil?
24:16They, they reduced his snap count Sunday from week one.
24:20What will happen on Sunday?
24:21It's not like they've got a bunch of options, but what do you think happens?
24:25Um, good question.
24:26I, you know, I mean, I don't know what you, I, I know there was a lot of confidence in
24:34him
24:34and, you know, after last season, remaining confidence in him and what he could do in
24:38this defense, haven't seen it.
24:39And so I think the hard part is you, you know, I could see a situation where it's Rasul and
24:46Amik, and then you're going to put Mikey in the slot when you need it.
24:49But the problem is like, you put him in a slot, if it's man coverage and you got Jackson Smith
24:54and Jigba in there, like not a good matchup.
24:56So, you know, I think, you know, the, the question is like, is he just flat out in his
25:01zone corner and his own corner inside?
25:04Like that's the other, that's the part zone here, which correct.
25:07They are, they are.
25:08And, and, and, you know, and, but the problem is like, there've been times where it's like
25:12the, you know, you, we've seen multiple mistakes and we saw them last year.
25:15We all know that.
25:16So I think, you know, I think the question too, is when Trey Amos comes back, then what?
25:21Like, because then you can make the case, like he's their fourth corner, you know, I
25:26mean, like I said, I think Amik has done a nice job.
25:29I think he's played solid.
25:30You know, I, when I'm watching these games back, like he's not the one, whether it's
25:34coverage breakdown, you know, there are multiple times like where two guys are in the same
25:40area.
25:41Like, you know, this is like in basketball, you two guys, you don't want two guys covering
25:45one.
25:45And then you leave this open for, for CD lamb, for CD lamb.
25:49For lamb.
25:50Yep.
25:51All right.
25:53We got 15 more of these to go.
25:56We really need the brace option to be the choice.
26:00We really do.
26:02Yeah.
26:02You know, or like, you know, show that, show that you've built the kind of roster that
26:07can withstand a brutal thing like this.
26:10Get it.
26:11Like, you know, you know, can you build a where you say like, well, shoot, if you had
26:14Jane Daniels, you could win this and this, but you've got to be able to, you've got to
26:18look a lot better than what we saw last year when the same scenario.
26:22Well, I mean, I mean, to be fair to everybody out there, they literally had nobody out, including
26:28Jane out there, but, but through, but through adversity, John comes opportunity and Dan Quinn
26:34and Durante Jones and David Blau are going to have to figure it out while he's out.
26:42Uh, and hopefully it's just a few weeks because you want, you want to get them back with a
26:48season still in play.
26:49Um, correct.
26:50It'll be up to them and, and the players, of course.
26:52All right.
26:53Thanks.
26:53And if you can get, if you can get, yeah, that's fine.
26:55Yeah.
26:56We'll go ahead.
26:56Say what you want to say.
26:57No, I'd say if you, I mean, this is the same thing we were saying last year.
27:00If you can get to two and four at the buy and then, and then let's say he's able to
27:05come back and he, they say, oh, he's fine.
27:08Then you have a shortly and slightly different outlook going forward, but you know, you're
27:12going to have to, you have like, the question is, can you get there?
27:15And other teams are dealing with stuff too.
27:17So you're going to have some opportunities with teams who are dealing with their own
27:20stuff and not, maybe not playing well that, you know, you, you just, you've got to,
27:25you've got to, you've got to win.
27:26All right.
27:27I'll talk to you later.
27:27Thanks for doing this.
27:28All right.
27:28Thanks, Kevin.
27:29Appreciate it.
27:29John Kine, everybody.
