00:03office it's warming up across the southeast through the morning into the
00:07afternoon temperatures here probably rising into the mid-20s if not slightly
00:11higher at the same time we do have a slow-moving weather front straddling
00:15central parts of the country with showers filing in across the northwest
00:19but some brighter skies coming through as well so lots of different types of
00:23weather as we enter the day on Friday today that rain eventually clears it
00:29weakening all the while but showers could merge to form longer spells of rain
00:32towards the northwest and into Saturday a rich high pressure across more southern
00:36areas still with those showers in the north and then we see another band of
00:40rain move in through Saturday and into Sunday if you're stepping out first thing
00:44this morning a brisk breeze across Western Scotland with frequent showers the Sun
00:49though will come out because the bank of cloud is moving towards in northern
00:54England but first thing you could see some rain across the southern part of
00:58Scotland certainly northern England seeing some outbreaks of rain the Isle of
01:01Man northern areas of Wales we lost the rain by this point across northern
01:06Ireland and again some sunshine to start the day here as that cloud breaks up
01:10still some showers across the far northwest cloud spills ahead of this rain
01:15band but even so it's fairly broken and we'll see a sunny start to the day a bit
01:19cooler though across eastern counties of England so that's the picture around seven
01:25eight o'clock as people are stepping out going to work going to school a
01:29different feel to things though relative to this morning which was rather chilly
01:32it will feel milder across more northern and western areas despite the cloud and
01:36rain and watch out for some mist and fog across England and Wales first thing
01:41through the day though this weather front weakens all the while still some
01:44patchy rain and drizzle associated with it the Sun comes out across Scotland and
01:49Northern Ireland showers will be fairly scattered here and we hang on to dry weather
01:53east midlands down towards the southeast even through the afternoon you see
01:57where the rain is by this point anywhere from probably South Wales patchy up
02:01towards eastern counties of England but by the afternoon places such as
02:05Cumbria even Lancashire Gwynedd and Anglesey you could find the Sun breaks
02:11through temperatures then through the afternoon 15 or 16 across Scotland and
02:17Northern Ireland a fresh wind here but 25 26 perhaps even a 27 across the
02:22southeast of England so this weather front really delineates the fresher air
02:26towards the northwest sunshine and so as well as some showers thicker clouds
02:30across central zone and towards the southeast you hang on to that sunshine
02:33feeling very warm and a mostly a light breeze through this evening and
02:38overnight this cloud and that rain gradually pushes down towards the
02:43southeast showers will cluster together merging to form longer spells of rain for
02:47Scotland and Northern Ireland so some heavier downpours likely as we enter the
02:51weekend and we have a clearer zone here anywhere from Northern England the
02:55Midlands as well as Wales the winds will always be a feature as we head into the
03:00first part of the weekend across Scotland and Northern Ireland even for
03:04Northern England the far north of Wales and first thing on Saturday morning an
03:09overhang of cloud across East Anglia central southern England the southeast here
03:14are your temperatures then as we start to the day on Saturday a bit cool
03:19particularly where we've seen some clearer skies in the countryside lower than eight
03:24or nine degrees Celsius that winds mixing things up across northern and
03:29western areas of the country so probably nine to twelve degrees Celsius that
03:34cloud could stick around first thing across southern areas of England but high
03:38pressure building all the while but it is drifting eastwards as the winds pick up
03:43further into Sunday and here's that next band of rain pushing in into the early
03:47hours of Sunday morning we could see some heavy downpours associated with it
03:51swiftly moving eastwards and then some showers to follow but Monday the start of
03:56next week starts on a quieter note with some a brighter skies so here's your
04:01city's list for Saturday temperatures probably 21 degrees Celsius for the
04:06southeast of England the high teens across southern Scotland as well as
04:10northern England Northern Ireland and also well so a warmer day but later on the
04:15cloud will thicken with some outbreaks of rain that rain pushes southwards and
04:19eastwards as we head through to Sunday probably won't reach central and southern
04:23areas of England and Wales few showers breaking out of that main rain bands
04:27though temperatures here 16 Celsius and temperatures on the up with some warmth in
04:31the air yet again across eastern counties wherever you are have a lovely day and I'll
