00:19Obviously, I really like the hire day one,
00:22even though I'm not a defensive-minded head coach guy.
00:25He's done nothing but exceed expectations ever since,
00:28whether you're talking about wins or you're talking about building a roster
00:33and navigating a season.
00:36And quite frankly, when he was hired, I still had the same question.
00:41Can he find an offensive coordinator?
00:43Now, I think that is – I think that question or concern, if you will,
00:48because it is a concern.
00:49I think that question –
00:51That concern has grown for you, though, right?
00:53Well, it started as just a question, like obvious.
00:55Hey, man, defensive-minded head coach, can you find an offensive play caller
01:00that's really good, which you need in today's game,
01:03that has an identity, that knows who he is, is going to hire his staff,
01:06and yada, yada, yada.
01:07Like the question was there originally, and it was a big question.
01:12That question has turned into a concern because he hasn't been able to do it.
01:16And not only has D'Amico Ryan shown that he's not been able to do it,
01:21I think he's relinquished control on the offensive side of the football
01:25to Nick Casario.
01:28And I think that D'Amico Ryan, as a defensive-minded head coach,
01:33is having a really hard time figuring out who he is
01:38and what he wants out of his offensive unit.
01:42I mean, as a defensive coordinator – and look, you can use last week as an example.
01:47I mean, he went out there and talked about their playmakers made plays.
01:52And meanwhile, his offense is an offense that's self-proclaimed.
01:57He's talked about it.
01:58Hey, ball's going to go to the open guy.
02:00Like they have no interest in getting their playmakers,
02:03like legitimately getting their playmakers the football.
02:06They're okay with a defense that's going to take it away from the playmaker
02:10and create other opportunities.
02:11They're okay with that kind of thing.
02:13So I think my question has grown into a concern.
02:19And I dislike the way that D'Amico Ryan's –
02:22I think he's gotten worse as the years went along.
02:25The Bobby Sloick thing, even though it didn't work out,
02:27I would have given him another year.
02:29But even if firing Bobby Sloick, cool, I get it, no problem.
02:33But that is more of like, hey, I know what I want.
02:36I've experienced it.
02:38I've stood on the sideline and watched it.
02:40This is my dude.
02:41Let's go get it.
02:42Like doing that and failing, I can live with.
02:46The head coach appearing to relinquish control totally on the offensive side
02:50of the football, back to this New England Patriots of the South regime
02:54and hiring a bunch of those guys, that really doesn't sit well with me.
03:01I'm not – I don't have – I've probably lost confidence in D'Amico
03:05from that perspective.
03:06Text line coming in, Mico is okay, but Casario standing in his way.
03:10I definitely believe in him.
03:11We just need to give CJ a real O.C.
03:14I trust that – I'm just reading some of these.
03:16I trust that in D'Amico, I no longer trust in Casario.
03:21Casario has had a long enough time to fix the offensive line,
03:25and he's proven he can't do it.
03:26Casario's got to go.
03:28A lot of this is there is trust in D'Amico and lack of trust in Casario.
03:36Boy, he – but you can't –
03:38He's right, they're tied.
03:39To me, you can't – when D'Amico got hired,
03:42D'Amico was significantly more powerful than Casario.
03:45And I think Nick would tell you that.
03:47I mean, it was, all right, D'Amico, what do you want to do?
03:51And they have grown together, and Nick has gained more power
03:59because D'Amico allowed it to happen.
04:03Yeah.
04:04And so it's hard for me – and look, I agree.
04:07I agree that the guys that are building this roster
04:10have messed the bed on the offensive line significantly.
04:14I can't put that just on Nick.
04:16Yeah, when Nick says, we don't build around one player
04:21and we all know what that question was geared towards,
04:23we don't build around the quarterback, he's right there with them.
04:28He's saying we because it's him and D'Amico.
04:29Absolutely.
04:30Yeah, he's right there.
04:31And until we learn otherwise, he's right there with them.
04:35Someone texted in, my belief in D'Amico is gone
04:39because of what Clint said about the offensive coordinator stuff.

04:45Just that he has been able to figure out the offensive coordinator.
04:48I mean, he hadn't even come close.
04:51But the approach swung so drastically from Bobby Slowick
04:56to what they're doing now, right?
05:01The thought that we're just going to hire a play caller
05:06and he's not going to hire his guy.
05:08We're just going to hire a guy that fits into what's already here
05:11that we just cut the head off that snake and fired him and ran him off.
05:15That whole thought of just plugging guys in randomly.
05:19And I know that it's not random.
05:21There's a New England tie and a Casario tie.
05:23But the thought of not having a guy that's in charge,
05:30this whole it's a collective group.
05:33And it's self-proclaimed.
05:35I'm not making that up.
05:35I mean, they say it, right?
05:36Oh, this is a collective approach to offensively.
05:39Like, that's hard to think that that's ever going to be consistent,
05:44regardless of what the scheme is.
05:45I don't like the scheme either.
05:47But regardless of what it is, it's hard to think that if you just got a bunch
05:51of five or six guys and anybody's got an opinion
05:54and nobody's ever like, damn it, this is what we're going to do, right?
05:57I mean, it's a strange approach.
06:00And for a guy like D'Amico, he seems like a guy –
06:03because I don't think it's like they're on the defensive side of the ball.
06:05Like, I think if you asked him on the defensive side of the ball,
06:07what's your identity, I think he'd tell you.

06:09I don't think he'd go, well, it depends on what the opponent's going to do
06:12that week.
06:13I think he would tell you what the identity is.
06:15Yeah.
06:16And when you talk about playmakers,
06:17I believe he's going to do everything he can to get Will Anderson
06:20and Stingley and –
06:22And positions to make plays.
06:23Absolutely.
06:24Yeah.
