03:29Tonight, we are talking AEW All Out 2026 in the books.

03:34Let's go through the card, what happened, how we feel about it, and what's going on going forward.

03:38First off, Jack Perry opens the Saturday Tailgate Brawl, defeating Katsiora Shibata, and after the match, the match is hard

03:46-hitting.

03:46Shibata's matches always are.

03:48It's a great match, top to bottom.

03:49But here's the thing, right?

03:50So Jack Perry wins, which I expected because he's trying to get to Samoa Joe.

03:54Samoa Joe returns, and he comes to the ring, and Jack Perry gets in his face, and he extends a

04:00hand.

04:00He's trying to shake his hand.

04:02Joe refuses.

04:02He spins him around, pushes him.

04:04He wants to shake his hand.

04:05And again, Joe refuges.

04:07It looks like he might do it for a second, then he headbutts him in the face and leaves.

04:11I thought you could have done a lot more with the return of Samoa Joe than this.

04:14This seemed weak.

04:15It seemed anticlimactic.

04:17And here's the other thing, right?

04:19Ever since Jack Perry signed his new contract with AEW, they really haven't done a whole lot with him.

04:24Where is Luchasaurus?

04:27You know what I'm saying?

04:27Like, Luchasaurus is doing nothing.

04:29My understanding, he's still under contract, so he should be out there with him through this whole escapade.

04:33He should be side-by-side with him, taking on the ops and things like that.

04:37No Luchasaurus.

04:38So that's how we open it.

04:39We go from there.

04:40Sisters of Sin, Julia Hart, and Sky Blue taking on Mina Shirakawa and Queen Aminata.

04:44And the match is solid.

04:45At the end of the match, we see that Queen Aminata is taken out outside the ring.

04:49Shirakawa's inside, where she basically gets double-teamed in a way by Julia Hart, and then eventually Sky Blue hitting

04:55her finisher.

04:55So the Sisters of Sin pick up the win.

04:57And solid women's tag team match.

05:00It really was.

05:00And what's really a shame in AEW is when you look at their women's division, much like WWE's in a

05:06lot of way, very stacked top to bottom.

05:09And it's almost a shame that young ladies like Julia Hart and Sky Blue, Mina Shirakawa, and especially in this

05:16match, Queen Aminata, probably never going to get the push they need to be the number one lady in the

05:21company.

05:21And so if you're not going to make them Mercedes-Monnais level competitors, then that's supposed to be what the

05:28TBS championship is supposed to represent.

05:30That second tier for the people you're not going to make the world champion.

05:34And I feel like that's not what they've done with it lately.

05:37The TBS title is somebody who really is a world championship contender.

05:40Think about it.

05:40Mercedes had it for like a year.

05:43Now Persephone has it.

05:44All these people who've had it are main event level people.

05:47It's supposed to, in my opinion, be a secondary title for people who aren't at the world championship level.

05:53And I don't think they do that very effectively because I feel like Sky Blue has got some mad skills.

05:57I'd love to see her in a championship opportunity somewhere along the line.

06:00But I don't see her being a world championship contender, just the way they book her.

06:04From there, we get the eight-man Tornado Tailgate Brawl, the Bang Bang Gang with Jay White, Ace Austin, Austin,

06:10and Colton Gunn taking on the Dawgs, Dave Finley, and Clark Connors, along with the Deathriders, Wheeler Yuta, and Daniel

06:16Garcia.

06:16And, frankly, I expected the Deathriders to win this.

06:20I really did.

06:21I could have done without all the silly football jerseys and all this.

06:24I get it.

06:26Or Tornado Tailgate Brawl.

06:28The guy who owns your company owns one of the NFL teams.

06:31I understand the thought behind it.

06:33It was a layer of silliness.

06:35I didn't really need a football coming out and hitting people with footballs and stuff.

06:38That's just dumb to me.

06:39The match itself, okay.

06:41Nothing overly spectacular.

06:43The Bang Bang Gang, shockingly, in my opinion, won the match.

06:46I thought Ace Austin probably would have taken the fall.

06:49I don't like seeing the Dawgs losing matches.

06:52I really don't.

06:53Since arriving in AEW, they've been booked to be second-tier wrestlers.

06:57And in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Dave Finley is somebody who could challenge for the world title.

07:01And I don't like the way they do that sometimes when they bring these people in.

07:05From there, we get to the main card for the AEW National Championship.

07:09Andrade El Idolo taking on Pac.

07:12And this match, if you knew going into the show like this, there's not going to be a lot of

07:16surprises on the show.

07:18So what are you watching the show for?

07:20Unbelievable professional wrestling.

07:22Every time Andrade's been in the ring since returning to AEW, he's been doing a great job.

07:26Pac, one of the most talented wrestlers in the world.

07:28The match is solid top to bottom.

07:31And Idolo is going to come out as the winner.

07:33He's going to retain the national championship because he still has a world championship opportunity coming.

07:38There was no way he was going to lose here.

07:40From there, Don Callis family, meaning Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher, taking on Darby Allin and Stephen Borden.

07:46And this is where the night gets a little hokey for me and really scary in a lot of ways.

07:51This is why Tony Khan or whoever the agents are for the match would allow Stephen Borden to go up

07:56and essentially do like a coast-to-coast crisscrossing shot with Kevin Knight, resulting in Stephen Borden's head hitting the

08:03mat so hard he was out like a light.

08:06They had to stretch him out, take him to the local hospital.

08:09They had to have a report after the show that he has feeling and sensation of all of his extremities

08:13and this, that, and the other.

08:14This kid has only been wrestling for a few months.

08:17You don't put him out there on a show like this and give him a spot like that.

08:21I'm sorry, you don't.

08:22It's not safe.

08:23This one, in my opinion, falls on the agents.

08:26And he's too young to know when to say no.

08:29He's probably excited to be in the business, excited to be on a pay-per-view, excited to be in

08:33the position he is, having backstage vignettes and promos with Adam Copeland and people like that.

08:38This was not the place for a big move like this right now, not this early in his career.

08:42So, the referee stops the match because of the injury to Stephen Borden, and he's off to the hospital, and

08:47that's essentially the end of that whole segment.

08:50Very scary stuff.

08:51From there, the Open Challenge for the TBS Championship.

08:54As predicted, Danny Luna, former TNA superstar, does answer the Open Challenge by Persephone.

09:01And, you know, the match was pretty solid.

09:03I think Danny Luna signing with AEW makes a lot of sense.

09:07I know she could go to NXT.

09:09I just don't see any room for her in NXT right now.

09:12Evolve is kind of a question mark right now with the main event moving to Rumble.

09:16So, where was she going to go?

09:17Going to AEW makes a lot of sense.

09:19She's another person who would benefit from a second-tier championship opportunity.

09:25And I don't want to see, like, Athena's had this historic run with the Ring of Honor Championship.

09:29I don't want that to become, like, another secondary women's title in AEW.

09:33But if that's what you've got to do, you've got to get the belt off of Athena and get her

09:35to the main roster of AEW.

09:37And then let these undercard or second-tier women fight for that title.

09:41Do something so they have something to work for, something to fight for.

09:44I don't like how they're booking this.

09:45But, of course, Persephone comes out as champion.

09:48In a match for the AEW International Championship, Kazuchika Okada facing Tommaso Ciampa.

09:53One of the really heartwarming things is, if you didn't know, Ciampa's wife competed way back in 2002, 2003-ish

10:00on Tough Enough.

10:02And they're married.

10:03They've been married for, somebody said, like, 20-plus years.

10:07She and their child in the crowd front row to watch Tommaso Ciampa take on Okada, one of the best

10:12wrestlers in the world.

10:13It was beautiful.

10:14It was heartwarming.

10:14There's memes of it online.

10:15A lot of people didn't even realize that she was the lady from Tough Enough.

10:1920 years later, you know, she's got some gray now.

10:22She doesn't look exactly the same.

10:23Same haircut.

10:23But whatever.

10:25But this was a great match, too.

10:27You know, again, I think nobody expected Tommaso Ciampa to win.

10:30He did not.

10:31But it's hard-hitting action.

10:34It's two phenomenal wrestlers in the ring doing what they do best.

10:36And given the freedom, the creative freedom that Ciampa really didn't get in WWE to really do the things that

10:41a wrestler of his caliber can do, this was a solid match top to bottom.

10:45Of course, it was predictable, but it was still solid.

10:48From there, Chicago Street Fight AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship.

10:52The Brawling Birds, Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor facing the Divine Dominion, Mega Bane and Lena Cross.

10:58This was the blow-off.

10:59This was the end of it.

11:00After the tea party the other day on Dynamite, somebody getting waffled in the head with a tea server.

11:07You knew this was going to be wild.

11:08It was going to be all over the place.

11:09It was.

11:10This was very brutal for a ladies' match.

11:13They typically don't go there.

11:14But in the end, by no surprise, the Brawling Birds retained their championship.

11:18They just won the titles.

11:20I don't feel like Tony Khan's a hot potato kind of guy most of the time.

11:23Sometimes when there's a really important need.

11:25But who else in the tag team division?

11:26Is it such a pressing thing that you would have to hot potato these titles?

11:29I don't see that.

11:30So this match made all the sense in the world.

11:32It was going to be a retention.

11:33I just like that they got some physicality in there and made the match more than I think a lot

11:37of people would have expected from a women's tag team match, say, five or six years ago.

11:41This is really great stuff.

11:42I hope they keep doing this kind of stuff and really grow that women's tag team division.

11:45In a trios match, AEW World Trios Championship, Swerve Strickland and the new level, Kofi and Austin Creed taking on

11:53Adam Hangman, Adam Page, and Brodito.

11:57Bandito and Brody King.

11:58I at no point in time thought that Swerve and the new level were in danger of losing their championship.

12:03Again, they just won the titles from these guys in a multi-team match back at All In.

12:07So here at All Out, there is a retention here as well.

12:09Swerve and the new level taking the championship win.

12:13Nothing surprising.

12:14What I'm struggling with is at what point does Adam Page break away from this six-man trios thing and

12:20go start doing some singles stuff?

12:21There's enough singles championships in AEW.

12:23The fact that he can't challenge for the world title is kind of stupid.

12:26It always has been, but there's plenty of other championships for him to go after.

12:29Let's get him going with that.

12:31This is a world champion twice over.

12:33Get him out there doing something more significant.

12:36None of this trios nonsense.

12:38Save that for people that you aren't ready to put into a major championship situation.

12:42That's my critique of that.

12:43I think that was a bad idea.

12:44Number one contenders match for the AEW Women's World Championship at WrestleDream.

12:49Tekla defeats Willow Nightingale via pinfall in a very good match.

12:54Not the longest match.

12:55I expected him to go a little bit longer.

12:57Willow, I don't know if she's fully back from her injury, but I think everybody's waiting to see Tekla take

13:01on Mercedes-Monnaie.

13:03I think it's the match everybody's been waiting for, clamoring for.

13:06There's not a lot of dream matches right now in AEW's women's division.

13:09Everybody's kind of faced everybody.

13:10I think we'd like to see Mercedes take on maybe Camille at some point because we never really got that.

13:14We'd like to see Mercedes take on Megan Bain at some point.

13:17I think that's another one that could be very, very exciting.

13:19But there's just not a lot of these dream matches.

13:22Tekla is one of the opportunities where she's such a unique wrestler that she does present a very different challenge

13:27for Mercedes-Monnaie.

13:28And they can have a real physical match and really impress people with their skill set.

13:33That's the match we're going to get at WrestleDream.

13:35Should be great stuff.

13:36And I guess this, you know, puts a kibosh on all the thoughts of Bayley being her opponent at WrestleDream.

13:41That never was going to happen anyways.

13:42In a three-way ladder match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship, we have the champions, Adam Copeland and

13:49Christian Cage,

13:49defending against FTR, Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood, and the Young Bucks, Nick and Matt Jackson.

13:55This match, look, I don't care how you try to slice it.

13:59There's never going to be a TLC match as good as the original or even the second one, I might

14:03say, would even be better than the first one.

14:06They do their best here, especially at, you know, Cage and Cope's advanced ages.

14:10You can only do so much.

14:11The match was good.

14:12It wasn't bad.

14:13I just, I don't know.

14:15I'm not a huge fan of the Young Bucks being champions yet because I really wanted to see Cage and

14:19Cope take on the new level first.

14:22And maybe the Motor City Machine Guns first.

14:24But whatever, we are where we are.

14:26So now we've got the Young Bucks as the new World Tag Team Champions winning this ladder match.

14:31I suspect they in the new level are on a collision course.

14:34Maybe they have a few matches before they get there, but that's what I foresee.

14:37And I don't know.

14:38Look, we reported last week the Young Bucks contracts are up in early 2020.

14:42Don't know if they're going to sign an extension.

14:44Don't know if they're going to retire and hang it up.

14:45Some people talking shop podcast thought they would.

14:48Don't know.

14:49Maybe they dip their toes in the water of WWE because, let's face it, WWE really needs to bolster that

14:55tag team division.

14:56Don't know.

14:56But it's interesting to see them get this last opportunity to have a run with the championships.

15:02And, of course, I think it's going to be a collision course with the new level.

15:06It's got to be the direction they're heading.

15:08From there, singles match for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

15:11Will Ospreay taking on Jon Moxley.

15:14And, again, this was never going to be all in.

15:17We weren't going to get the big entrance with the Who and his mom introducing him and all that kind

15:22of fun stuff.

15:23Because that is like a once-in-a-lifetime, probably one of the greatest entrances in the history of the

15:28business.

15:28But this was still a pretty cool entrance.

15:30It was still a great match.

15:31Fantastic match.

15:32Moxley gave him everything he had.

15:34Showed him a lot of respect at the end of the match.

15:37And Will Ospreay retains the championship.

15:39Again, no surprise here.

15:40But this show wasn't about that.

15:42This show is about great, hard-hitting action.

15:46Despite the fact that WWE tried to counter-program the show with Worlds Collide down the street.

15:51With AEW selling out a 10,000-seat arena.

15:54WWE selling 13,000 tickets.

15:56Technically, WWE sold more tickets.

15:58But AEW, this was a big show for them.

16:00And they've sold this arena out several times.

16:02There's reports that WWE was shocked that they did so well.

16:04I don't know why they've sold this place out several times.

16:06As a matter of fact, in the media scrum afterwards, Tony Khan alluded to that.

16:09That they've sold this place out several times.

16:11I don't know why that's a surprise at WWE.

16:13If you're not that person, you wanted to go to the WWE show.

16:16Look, there's only 10,000 seats.

16:17There was 23,000 people who wanted to see wrestling that night.

16:20So I'm not upset with WWE for running the show.

16:22I'm really not.

16:23Some people are.

16:23I'm not.

16:23After the media scrum, Will Ospreay lit WWE up.

16:27Giving him all sorts of attitude.

16:28Don't ever step to us again.

16:30That kind of stuff.

16:31I'm sorry, Will.

16:32I hate to break it to you.

16:32I love Will Ospreay.

16:34He's one of the best wrestlers, if not the best wrestler in the world.

16:36I'm thrilled he's the AEW World Heavyweight Champion.

16:38I'm thrilled that AEW puts on these hard-hitting, banger, real intense wrestling matches.

16:43Pro wrestling matches.

16:45But there are many other of us who also want to see the theatrics, the storylines.

16:51All the insanity of WWE.

16:53They're two different things.

16:55You don't have better professional wrestling action on AEW.

16:58You have better pro wrestling action in the AEW style.

17:03I don't know if every AEW wrestler could go to WWE and do what they do.

17:07Likewise, I don't think a lot of WWE guys could go to AEW and do what they do.

17:10They're two different demons.

17:12They're approached two different ways.

17:14A lot of AEW guys I don't think would have the theatrics to be able to get over as a

17:18major star in WWE.

17:19I really don't think that.

17:20There's some that I think could.

17:22Kenny Omega probably could.

17:23Will Ospreay probably could.

17:24But there are some people who just won't.

17:27MJF is custom made for WWE.

17:29You know, at some point I expect him to go there.

17:30I don't know.

17:31I'll have to wait and see.

17:31The year's down the road because he did sign that extension.

17:33Who knows?

17:34But all in all, this show was a banger.

17:38Great matches.

17:39Great action.

17:39And here's the thing.

17:40If I'm rating this on a 1 to 5 kind of thing, I can't give it a 5.

17:43I can't.

17:44It wasn't as good as All In.

17:46I can't really give it a 4.

17:50I hate to say that because I really like AEW's wrestling.

17:52But I can't give it a 4.

17:53I'll tell you why.

17:54When every single match is predictable, that to me isn't the best show.

17:59The best show incorporates the best wrestling and the most intriguing, shocks, surprises.

18:04You know, Danny Luna showing up.

18:06Any other day might be okay.

18:07But when we're all hoping to see people like Ilya Dragunov, who's got visa issues.

18:11Sheamus, who's still technically under contract with WWE.

18:14Kairi Sane, who is a free agent and for some reason hasn't shown up yet.

18:18When we're expecting that, Danny Luna isn't as impressive.

18:21There was a lot of great things about the show.

18:23So I'm going 3.5.

18:243.5 stars out of 5 for this show.

18:26Could have been better.

18:27Could have been worse.

18:28But, you know, still a solid, solid showing for AEW.

18:32I'm glad they sold out the arena.

18:33I'm glad this was a success.

18:34Big gate for them.

18:36Great for the wrestlers.

18:37All in all, definitely something you have to go out.

18:42Or these matches out.
