03:40That being said, tonight, there's a lot to talk about.

03:43Look, first, let's start with some sad news.

03:45Rick Atchberger, who is WWE's sign guy.

03:48This guy has been to so many shows over the years.

03:51And he kind of, if you tune in often, you'll see him right near the, like, the entryways in, like,

03:57a blue workman shirt, red hat, you know, he holds up signs to the crowd and stuff.

04:02And he became super, super well-known.

04:04You know, there's that guy in the green shirt people always know.

04:08You know, he'd go to, like, 40, 50 shows every single year.

04:12Unfortunately, it was announced that he did pass away today.

04:15A guy named Lance Peterson broke the news on Twitter saying that it's with a heavy heart that I announced

04:19the passing of WWE's sign guy, Rich Atchberger, today, Sunday, 9, 27, 26.

04:24He was an absolute great guy and loved talking with the fans at the shows.

04:28He tackled some health problems a couple of years ago, but last month began to go downhill rapidly.

04:32Rest in peace.

04:33And that's exactly what we'd like to send out there to his friends, families, and otherwise.

04:37You know, sad news always.

04:38Hate to see, you know, these types of things happen.

04:41And the WWE family, I'm sure the wrestlers all over the company will respond to this because he's one of

04:46those guys that they would always try to interact with.

04:48So just sad news for the world of professional wrestling when one of their own, one of the big fans,

04:54unfortunately, has passed.

04:56Moving on to WWE and AAA Worlds Collide.

05:00Look, the show was taped yesterday, going head-to-head with All Out.

05:04I'm not going to give all the spoilers to the show because, I'll be honest with you, the show, really,

05:08there's nothing of great newsworthiness.

05:11This to talk about.

05:13The few matches, you know, I'll do this.

05:15There's a couple matches I'll bring up.

05:17The Reina Duranas championship match between La Catalina and Roxanne Perez.

05:20I actually thought they might put the belt on Roxanne.

05:23They did not.

05:23La Catalina retained.

05:25The Lucha Brothers were back in action as a tag team, which is always exciting to see.

05:30They defeated Daga and Berto by disqualification when Angel and Carmen Petrovic interfered.

05:35So that's kind of cool stuff.

05:36The rest of the show is relatively uneventful.

05:39Dragon Lee defeated Jack Cartwheel, which is kind of cool.

05:41But in the main event, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, El Grande, Americano faced off against Jadon McDonough, Omos, and Dominic

05:47Mysterio.

05:48Now, the reason I'm bringing this up is Punk, Mysterio, and Americano win.

05:52I don't think that's a surprise.

05:53What I find interesting is what happens after the match, where Oba Femi comes out.

05:59He gets in the ring, and he has a stare down with Omos, and the fans erupt.

06:05They are just wanting to see these two throw down.

06:08And at one point, Oba starts talking trash right in his face, and Oba shoves him.

06:12He ends up backing up for a minute, and then, you know, they go for, like, one of these things

06:15where it looks like they're both going to hit each other.

06:16But instead, Oba ducks Omos' strike, hits the ropes, comes across, and hits a clothesline, knocking Omos over the top

06:24rope,

06:24and really setting up a tease for an Omos versus Oba Femi match, which I think everybody in that arena

06:30was really excited for the prospects of.

06:32Maybe WWE pulls the trigger on this, because it went viral.

06:35It's all over.

06:36You can find it on YouTube.

06:37You can find it all over the place.

06:39This was exciting, and it was like a little tease of what could be.

06:43And, you know, Omos looks great right now.

06:45He's in some of the best shape of his career.

06:47I'd like to see the match, just as my opinion, but we'll have to wait and see how things play

06:51out.

06:52Also that night, you know, I have an episode that came out with the all-out results.

06:57But that being said, I'm going to rehash something I said in there.

07:00Will Ospreay's comments during the media scrum afterwards where he said,

07:03don't step to us again, basically cautioning WWE.

07:06And he probably had some expletives in there that I'm not going to repeat.

07:11Just got to address that, because one,

07:12coming off the heels of the World's Collide show being taped and not played live for the fans

07:19and not outside of the arena, it is going to be shown this Wednesday night.

07:24You know, and that's huge because that's Dynamite's time slot.

07:28So they're still messing with AEW.

07:31Now, AEW, what are they going to do?

07:32They're going to do, you know, Grand Slam France and all this kind of stuff going head-to-head with

07:35NXT.

07:35Like this counter-programming thing goes both ways.

07:39It's never going to stop.

07:41It's a business.

07:42McDonald's has no problem putting their restaurant across the street from Burger King.

07:46That's the way it works.

07:48And then you get to choose.

07:50You have options as a fan.

07:5110,000 people said, I want to see AEW All Out yesterday.

07:55Congratulations.

07:56They got to see a phenomenal show.

07:5913,000 people said, hey, I'm not paying for that show.

08:03I'm going to go to this WWE show, World's Collide.

08:05It's really a AAA show.

08:07They thought it was going to be live.

08:08It was not, but it's still going to get streamed.

08:10And they got to see a really good show also.

08:13Nowhere near as good as All Out.

08:16I'm just being honest.

08:19It's 50% at best of what All Out was.

08:23However, WWE is doing what WWE does.

08:26This is something all businesses have done all throughout the business.

08:30So, um, Will Ospreay could say it all he wants.

08:33Of course, they're going to keep stepping to him.

08:34And here's the thing.

08:35And I hate to break this to Will Ospreay or to Tony Khan or anybody else who thinks otherwise.

08:41WWE putting an NXT or a AAA show head to head with AEW and drawing as many or more fans.

08:50AEW can claim victory.

08:52They had a far better pay-per-view or show or whatever.

08:54But the fact that 13,000 people went to the competitor instead of staying home and watching

08:59your incredible show on pay-per-view should say something.

09:01And here's the other thing.

09:03Their counter-programming is usually with just that, NXT or AAA.

09:07Now, look, I think that makes AAA and NXT look bad because you're never going to be AEW's

09:12premium product.

09:13You're just not.

09:14Not those shows.

09:14Not really.

09:15But what are you...

09:17Will Ospreay needs to think before he talks sometimes.

09:19And I love Will.

09:20I'm not knocking Will for anything in the ring.

09:22But when it comes to business, AEW has yet to go head to head with the main roster of

09:29WWE.

09:30You don't see AEW counter-programming Raw.

09:33If they did, they'd lose their shirt because Raw is going to blow them out of the water and

09:37get millions of views live.

09:38Plus many thousands, tens of hundreds of thousands more on streaming after the fact.

09:43You know, AEW is not at WWE's level.

09:46They've got some of the best wrestling in the world, sure, if that's your kind of wrestling

09:51you want to watch.

09:52But two to three million people, four million people some weeks are saying they'd rather

09:57watch WWE.

09:58There's a reason for that because people like the storytelling.

10:01They like all that drama.

10:03They like the Dan Housen-esque characters and The Miz and things like that.

10:07Not everybody wants to see the same physicality that AEW puts out there.

10:10I do.

10:11I love all of it.

10:12And those who know me on a personal level know that I'm a school teacher during the day.

10:16I had a student who's a huge wrestling fan say to me the one day, they're like, what

10:19wrestling are you watching today?

10:20I was like, look, let's talk about the weekly schedule.

10:22Monday, Netflix Raw.

10:24Tuesday, NXT.

10:25Wednesday, Dynamite.

10:26Thursday, TNA.

10:27Friday, SmackDown.

10:28Saturday, I always watch Collision and I try to throw in some other independent things.

10:35WXW or Progress or something like that.

10:37Sunday, I always throw something.

10:38If there's a pay-per-view on Saturday or Sunday, I'm always watching those.

10:41And if not, then that's when I catch up on my New Japan or CMLL stuff.

10:44I have pull stuff up on YouTube.

10:46I watch so much wrestling, it's obnoxious.

10:48I don't even have time for more of it to be put into my schedule.

10:51And I rarely get to watch Ring of Honor, though I love watching it when I can and things like

10:54that.

10:55Heaven forbid, I get a chance to check out GCW, even though they have crazy spots like they

10:59did this past weekend, throwing a guy off a stage onto a chair.

11:03Horrible spot.

11:04That's ill-advised, to say the least.

11:06Blood sport stuff.

11:08There's so much wrestling out there.

11:10So, you know, for Will Ospreay to get upset with WWE, don't step to us.

11:14Of course they're going to.

11:15And they should.

11:16Because they have a different product.

11:18And right now, their product sells more than yours does.

11:20And their goal is to shut you down.

11:22Now, just stay the course.

11:24AEW just needs to worry about AEW.

11:26Don't bring up WWE.

11:27Don't challenge WWE.

11:28What you're going to end up doing is, at some point, you're going to irritate TKO.

11:31And they're going to go, from now on, let's move SmackDown to Wednesday nights.

11:35And let's shut down Dynamite all together.

11:37Oh, they'll move that to Tuesday.

11:38Okay, let's just keep bouncing stuff around to keep messing with you.

11:42Don't challenge WWE.

11:44Stick to what you do well, which is taking care of your own.

11:46You know, which, by the way, speaking of their own, Wardlow.

11:50Promo aired during All Out that Wardlow was on his way back.

11:52Thank God, it's about time.

11:53It's like two years since he's been in the ring.

11:55And before that, he had like one night before he got hurt again.

11:58Before that, he was out for like a year.

11:59Like, this guy was on fire.

12:01He was on like Goldberg-esque level at one point in AEW as an organically grown talent.

12:05Now, he's been gone so long.

12:07I'm scared he'll never rekindle that kind of excitement.

12:10I hope he does.

12:10I genuinely want him to.

12:12I love Wardlow as a wrestler.

12:14I'm just worried about his endurance and his ability to stay healthy.

12:17We'll have to wait and see how that plays out.

12:18But he is on his way back.

12:21And got to talk about Malachi Black.

12:23He ends up losing the Progress Championship that he won 21 days prior to Cara Noir.

12:29And that's, you know, they've had a couple matches leading up to this one.

12:32He finally loses the championship.

12:33But after the match, he makes an announcement through a promo that Malachi Black is gone.

12:38And he's returning as Tommy End, his original persona pre-WWE.

12:42And I'm excited about this.

12:44That he can get back to his roots.

12:45And hopefully, you know, he can really do some revolutionary stuff with his original Tommy End character.

12:51Get rid of all the black face paint and all.

12:53We don't need all that.

12:54Go out there and just tear people up, man.

12:57Just be that stud you've always been.

12:59I'm a huge fan of Malachi Black's.

13:01I hope he does very well changing his persona back.

13:03Get his wife on some of those shows.

13:05She deserves to be out there.

13:06Zelina is an incredibly talented female wrestler.

13:08And I don't care what anybody says.

13:10Never got the credit she deserves for being a phenomenal talent in WWE.

13:13That being said, that's all the time we have for this episode.
