Willard and Dibs join Evan (in for Steiny) with Guru taking off early on a Wednesday edition of the Crossover. The guys tackle a number of topics.
Transcript
00:00Bay Area, it's Coach Natalie Nakase.
00:02You're listening to Stiney and Guru,
00:05coming to you live from the Laughing Month Studios on 95.7 The Game.
00:09Thanks, Natalie.
00:10All right, it is time for the crossover brought to you by Bay Alarm Rest Easy.
00:14We've got you covered.
00:15Bayalarm.com.
00:16Evan Gettings in for Matt Steinmetz with Willard and Dibbs.
00:20And Dibbs is sliding over because Goo's out.
00:22I didn't realize you were such a big Oasis fan, Willard.
00:26Large.
00:27A lot of those at the show.
00:28Large, I hope so.
00:30Yeah, I mean, I've never purchased tickets before to anything that's 11 months away.
00:35I have never felt more like my mom in my life,
00:39making plans for something that is almost an entire year away.
00:44But yes, they had a big reunion tour all over the world last year,
00:48and I hemmed and hawed, and I didn't go.
00:50And now they're coming to you.
00:52Yeah, my daughter kind of was like, Dad, you need to do these things.
00:55You know, YOLO, Dad, YOLO.
00:57No, you got to go.
00:58And so then when another tour popped up, we didn't hesitate.
01:03So Ken and I will both be in Vegas next August.
01:05Is it like at the Sphere?
01:08It's not at the Sphere.
01:08It's actually at Allegiant Stadium.
01:10Oh, cool.
01:11Yeah, which is a great, great...
01:12It's been not big enough to accommodate a band that apparently like 55,000 people want to go see.
01:18The Sphere is plenty big.
01:20The Sphere's huge, isn't it?
01:21I don't think it holds 50.
01:23I haven't been there, so...
01:24Yeah.
01:25Anyway...
01:25I would just probably like 15 to 20 like any other arena.
01:29Yeah, why sell 20,000 tickets when you can sell 40?
01:32Well, I'm sure it's what they were thinking, but...
01:33We were talking about it earlier because I think Metallica's currently at the Sphere.
01:37They have a residency, or maybe it's just starting or something.
01:39They got 20, whatever odd dates.
01:41Big acts go there.
01:42Like, huge acts go there.
01:43Yeah.
01:43I mean, the Backstreet Boys were there earlier this year.
01:45I mean, you can't give me bigger than that.
01:47But I'm assuming if Metallica's there, then a band like Oasis can, you know, slide in.
01:53It looks unbelievable.
01:55The tickets are also unbelievable.
01:57But, yeah, I think...
01:58How many seats there is?
02:0017,600 standard seats at the Sphere.
02:0420K if you do standing room only.
02:08And then now I'll do Allegiant.
02:09What is the biggest show that you guys have been to?
02:14Man, probably WOMAD 1993.
02:17Which was at Golden Gate Park.
02:19It was an outdoor festival.
02:20And it was, you know, Peter Gabriel and Crowded House.
02:24It was 1993.
02:25A stereo MCs.
02:26And I'll never forget, Peter Gabriel's up there.
02:29And I'm in, like, the 14th row.
02:30The barefoot, of course.
02:32I mean, we got there early.
02:33And I kind of wore my way up.
02:35And one of these, like, I want to get closer tough guys.
02:38Like, you know, forcing his way through.
02:40Up, up, up he goes.
02:42And I was like, you know what?
02:44No.
02:44And so I stick out my foot.
02:46Oh.
02:47And I trip him.
02:48So dibley.
02:49God.
02:49Just let the story play out.
02:50I will.
02:51Peter's playing Salisbury Hill.
02:53Climbing up on Salisbury.
02:54Jum, jum, jum, jum.
02:56So this guy, he gets tripped by somebody.
02:59Might have been my left foot.
03:00He staggers into somebody in front of me who took umbrage.
03:04And he turns around and it's like, whap, whap, whap, whap, whap.
03:07So the guy who would, like, knifed his way through the crowd.
03:09Now he's taking all kinds of, like, fire.
03:13And so Peter Gabriel, stop the music.
03:15Stop the music.
03:16It's supposed to be a peaceful occasion.
03:18Let's keep it peaceful.
03:21And the dude who got, like, absolutely pounded gets dragged out.
03:25And then, jum, jum, jum, jum.
03:28And he goes back in the song.
03:29I'm like, that was me, everyone.
03:31You started it.
03:33And stopped the show.
03:34You started that.
03:35You did that.
03:35I did.
03:36Wow.
03:37Yeah.
03:37How have I never heard this before?
03:39Because.
03:40I mean, of course you did.
03:41Well, and it's never come up because.
03:43And you know me, like, I'm big on the honk, honk flip.
03:46Like, if somebody cuts in front of me.
03:47And so this guy was completely out of pocket.
03:50And so I was like, you know what?
03:51He might catch a foot.
03:53And he did.
03:54And I didn't know that he would, like, stumble into, like, some middleweight, like, champion.
04:00But the dude turned around.
04:01He's like, whap, whap, whap, whap, whap.
04:03Only Dan Dibley could literally stop a concert with his behavior and say the other guy was out of line.
04:11And his bare feet.
04:12Man.
04:13I think the only time I've been barefoot at a concert was, it was actually, it was Bottle Rock in
04:17Napa.
04:18And.
04:18You went barefoot at Bottle Rock?
04:20Well, on a lot of the open areas, it's a lot of, there's a lot of grass.
04:24Yes.
04:25Yes.
04:25I mean, I've been.
04:26But yes, and it's on the far right stage.
04:30I forget what it was called.
04:30But me and my buddy, who were there to see, I forget who was playing.
04:34It might have been.
04:35You were faded, man.
04:36You're short on details right now.
04:38Foo Fighters.
04:38Yeah.
04:39I mean, there to see Foo Fighters.
04:40It was, like, somewhere over there on the right.
04:42I don't know what the stage is called, but Foo Fighters was there somewhere.
04:44So we had my buddy get in.
04:45And we airdrop into this group, and we noticed that everyone's got bare feet out.
04:52Dogs are out.
04:52Oh.
04:53They're barking.
04:53Yep.
04:54So this guy walks over to us, and he's just got a big denim jacket on and a backpack.
04:58And he says, dogs out?
05:01Question mark.
05:02And we look at him and go, what do you mean?
05:06As in, who let the dogs out, or?
05:08Someone was about to.
05:09Or Mike Kruko, did you mean hogs out?
05:11Right.
05:11Well, probably I would have responded.
05:13But anyway, go ahead.
05:14We didn't drop trowel.
05:15Okay.
05:15But he just pointed over to a pile of shoes, just like a bunch of carcasses.
05:21And he says, dogs out.
05:23And so we take off our shoes and our socks, and we hang out with this group of people and
05:28watch Foo Fighters.
05:29So this was a Foo Fighters thing?
05:30I don't know what it was.
05:32Kind of like a house where you have to take your shoes off at the door?
05:34Well, and kind of like where I am now in my world, where I have a four-year-old, and
05:38so you go to a birthday party, and there's a jumpy house.
05:40And so, like, yeah, there's a pile of shoes.
05:42And you go anywhere, if there's a jumpy, like, shoes are off.
05:45And so, like, the shoes are off a lot for these kids.
05:47But I don't know about Bottle Rock.
05:49Well, they didn't have house shoes for us to put on.
05:51So you pretty much just had to go barefoot.
05:54So I love you.
05:56You're still at that spot in your life where then you just do it.
06:00Like, you didn't ask questions.
06:01I got questions if somebody's like, we're piling our shoes over there in the corner at a concert.
06:06Does anyone have fungus on their feet?
06:08I'm like, I'll do it, but I have questions first.
06:11Like, what the hell are you all doing?
06:14And how are we getting our shoes back?
06:16Do I get a ticket?
06:17Is this like a bowling alley?
06:18Like, how am I getting this?
06:20Is this a ballet for my shoes?
06:22Like, it's 10,000 people piling their shoes.
06:24You're expecting me to get my kicks back?
06:26Like a coat check, you know?
06:27Like, what are we doing here?
06:28You're a size 12.
06:29Yeah, you're number 144.
06:31I got questions.
06:31That's going to be a great strategy, actually.
06:33Because I think everybody was dancing and jumping around.
06:35And so no one wanted to get their feet stepped on.
06:38And so they just took their shoes off.
06:40But the one thing that we realized was, and we kept calling this guy the sheriff.
06:45Because anybody who walked in the vicinity of these people with bare feet on, he would ask them,
06:51Dogs out.
06:52Dogs out.
06:53Yeah.
06:53So I don't know what that guy's name was.
06:55We just called him the sheriff.
06:56Now, was he hired for this job, or did he just take it on gratis?
07:00It's like a crossing guard thing.
07:01You know, volunteer duty.
07:03Yeah, sort of deal.
07:04But anyways.
07:05I don't want to bring this back to football because I'm loving this.
07:08But you had me thinking about, and I don't know if you remember this, Evan,
07:12but about 20 years ago, for some reason, field goal kickers thought, you know what?
07:17Barefoot.
07:18I'm going barefoot with the kicking foot, cleat with the left, bare with the right,
07:23and it's going to be the thing.
07:25Evan's looking at me like, is dibs making up a story?
07:28No, no, no.
07:28This is a real thing.
07:29There were barefoot kickers.
07:31I've seen.
07:32Like a lot of them.
07:33Like a good solid.
07:34In the NFL.
07:3520% of the league.
07:36Yes, in a real game.
07:36Oh, like it was their thing.
07:39They were barefoot kickers.
07:41And it wasn't just one.
07:43It was multiple.
07:43And you're not old enough to remember Zola Budd.
07:44I don't even know if Mark would remember Zola Budd.
07:46Of course I remember Zola Budd.
07:4884 Olympics.
07:48She actually ran for South Africa in the 5K on the track barefoot.
07:54Barefoot.
07:54And it was her thing.
07:55Yeah.
07:55And then, well, she had spiked in the semis, and it didn't really work out for her.
07:59But, yeah, barefoot kickers.
08:01It was a thing.
08:02I've seen Young-Hway Koo do a backflip kicking a field goal.
08:06I think he went to, like, Georgia Southern or something.
08:08There's two things that was going on in kicking back then that will never happen again.
08:12There were barefoot kickers, and then there were kickers who would kick with their toe.
08:16Yes.
08:16Well, that was back in, what, the 60s, right?
08:19I mean.
08:19George Blanda used to kick with his front foot.
08:22It bled into the 80s, like, for a few guys.
08:25Wasn't, I want to say, Mark Mosley for the Washington, we're not supposed to say the names anymore?
08:30That is good knowledge.
08:31Wasn't he a toe kicker?
08:33Now, that is good knowledge.
08:33They had one MVP kicking with his toe?
08:36Yes.
08:37Wow.
08:37And Tom Dempsey, he made a 63-yarder back when the goal post was on the front of the end
08:43zone.
08:43He kicked it from his own 37.
08:45Right.
08:46And he had, like, either no toes or he might have had a toe.
08:50One of his feet was not full, so his dogs were out all the time.
08:56It was toe-less.
08:57Yeah.
08:57Yeah.
08:57So he would go to Bottle Rock, and they'd take off the shoe.
09:01And your boy, the shoe should be like, no, no, no, put the shoe back on.
09:04I'm so waiting for one of those sophomores to walk out there with no shoes on and try and kick
09:09a field goal.
09:11I mean, it's only 20 yards.
09:12McAfee would lose it.
09:14Yeah.
09:14But the.
09:15Yeah, this used to be a thing.
09:16Barefoot kickers.
09:18A lot's changed, boys.
09:18I really, I don't like these, the whole, like, how old I feel when this conversation goes that way.
09:24There's nothing wrong with it, but you just say a lot's changed.
09:26I just don't like it.
09:27I don't like it when I say barefoot kickers and you look at us like we're aliens.
09:32I'm okay that it doesn't happen anymore.
09:34I just want you to have heard of it.
09:36That's all.
09:37I just want you to have heard of it, Evan.
09:39People are saying barefoot punters were a thing, too.
09:41They were.
09:41On the 510.
09:42Right.
09:43Oh, my God.
09:43McAfee was not one of them.
09:45No, and I guess, like, you wanted that, like, snug feel of foot meeting ball, but honestly,
09:52ow.
09:52Like, that has to hurt.
09:54Yeah, I feel like they got cleats made specifically for each position now.
09:57It's, I mean, if Nick Bosa can wear Jordan 1s if he's, you know, he's coming off the edge,
10:02I feel like a punter should be able to find a shoe for his foot.
10:05But maybe I did a narrow cam.
10:08All right.
10:08So, well, today we were getting into some stuff about the Niners and the Seahawks and
10:12just how big of a game it is.
10:15And I just, I wonder what people are expecting from the offense this time around, because we
10:22know the last two didn't go well for the Niners.
10:25But I'll ask you guys this.
10:26Do you think their offense currently, even with the guys who are out, is more dangerous
10:32or high power than the one they won with in Seattle in week one last year?
10:38Because I think it is.
10:39I think they got more weapons than they did going into the opener last season, which Brock
10:44Purdy led them to a win.
10:46I agree with that.
10:47But for me, it's a little bit less about weaponry, and it's more about the current performance
10:52of the offensive line.
10:54That's how I would answer that.
10:56At the beginning of the year, last year, Dominic Pune was not healthy.
10:59I think that the group as a whole was not performing at the level that they're performing
11:05at now.
11:06And to me, that's the heartbeat of the whole thing.
11:08Like, if you've got time and you've got running lanes, that's going to trickle down and change
11:15everything else.
11:16But I agree with you.
11:17I'm still, I'm not like sitting here thinking the Niners are going to score 30 points on Sunday
11:24at all.
11:26I think this is an incredibly losable football game.
11:29But I do think it's a team that's in better shape than last year.
11:33And oh, by the way, Brock Purdy was hurt in that game.
11:35Like, he played the second half with Turftel.
11:38Right.
11:38And didn't Kittle get hurt in that game also?
11:40Correct.
11:40Or was that...
11:41No, that was in that game.
11:42That was in that game.
11:42Yeah.
11:42And so, and you talk about the O-line and that receiving core, you had Jawan Jennings, you
11:48didn't have Mike Evans, and you had Ricky Pearsall, I think.
11:52I'm just guessing.
11:53He was in that game.
11:54He never plays, but yeah.
11:55And so you had that.
11:56And so Kittle goes out early.
11:58And I do think that McCaffrey right now is a much fresher McCaffrey with, you know, what
12:03they're doing with Kalon Black.
12:04And if you look at the time of possession with the Niners so far through four games, they're
12:08not winning that.
12:10They score too quick in terms of like, all right, McCaffrey, we need nine carries on this
12:14drive.
12:15No, we're going to use you for two, maybe three.
12:17And I also think that Seattle's in a little bit of a tougher spot because they want to
12:22run it, possess it, dink and dunk with Sam Darnold and then let their defense eat.
12:27But right now they can't do that.
12:28Yeah.
12:29I mean, I think the strength of their team is still obviously their defense.
12:32I just, I don't know.
12:34I mean, they didn't really turn into a Kenneth Walker led rushing attack until later in the
12:41season.
12:42They were much more by committee, but now they're down to what their third running back.
12:46So I think they're also going to have to be much more proficient through the year, kind
12:52of like the Niners.
12:53And how much, how much homework, which we were talking about as well earlier, how much homework
12:57had the Niners done to try and solve Mike McDonald, Mike McDonald, pardon me, in this
13:02defense?
13:02I would say right now, Seattle offensively feels similar to me as the Niners offensively
13:09did last year.
13:10In other words, there is way too much leaning and pointing toward one player.
13:16That was the Niners last year with Christian McCaffrey and it's the Seahawks this year with
13:20Jackson Smith and Jigba.
13:21If you look at the target share, the routes run, the analytics of what Seattle's doing,
13:27they, I mean, every now and again, they're tight end.
13:29And Barner's a good player.
13:30You can get him in there.
13:32You know, Rashid Shahid, they're not using him out of the backfield.
13:35You can tell they're trying to manufacture different ways to get other people involved
13:40because he is a one man show right now.
13:42And he's awesome.
13:44But that's not a, that's not, as the Niners know, it's not a great, effective way to
13:48play offense.
13:49Especially when you want, you want to do it the way that Seattle does, which is, you know,
13:52we want to keep it.
13:53We want to like be able to run it and then JSN when we can and Barner.
13:56But ultimately we want to put our defense in a spot where you have to go 75, 80, 85 yards
14:02if we fail to beat us.
14:04And right now they don't have that real skill set.
14:07I mean, I think some of that is skewed.
14:09Like last year he was what?
14:1040% of their total yardage.
14:12This year, I think he's more.
14:14I think some of that is because they've had a backup quarterback for most of their game
14:19so far.
14:20And Darnold comes back against, you know, Washington doesn't really look like himself.
14:24So I think some of it is just forcing a guy like Drew Locke to beat you.
14:29But I also think he's just that good.
14:31I mean, McCaffrey last year showed that he could handle the workload, but I don't know
14:35if he was as explosive.
14:37And I think this year sort of proves it, that he's, he's moving towards the latter stages
14:41of his career.
14:41JSN is, I mean, you know that he's getting the ball and you still cannot stop him.
14:46And it was funny.
14:47Like we, we listened to a quote from a few years ago before DK went to Pittsburgh and
14:53DeAmador Lenore was saying, you know, they, they better not let go to DK because JSN can't
14:58handle me or he can't hold me.
15:00And that dude is, he's been about as unstoppable as any one man wrecking crew in the league.
15:04And so I just like Raheem Morris more than any other game so far has got to find a way
15:11to put some pressure on Sam Darnold.
15:13And I think, because if he's just sitting back there, I don't know if he can really stop
15:17this guy, the numbers are pretty similar.
15:21And in fact, so I'm looking at it right now, Jackson Smith and Jigba accounts for 31% of
15:26all Seattle yardage, 31%, 44% of the team's gross passing yards.
15:34He also gobbles up 36% of the team's targets last year, Chris McCaffrey accounted for 35.6%
15:43of the 49ers total offensive yards.
15:46So a few percentage points more from McCaffrey last year than JSN this year, but it's, it's
15:52in the same neighborhood, right?
15:54Like that's, and I, this is what, I think this is one feather for the Niners in this matchup
15:59predictive, um, like Raheem Morris has been really good at not allowing the over the top
16:05chunk play.
16:06And that's kind of how Seattle has done.
16:09They do, they do it two ways.
16:10It's over the top to JSN or let their defense create a really short field, which are two
16:14things that the Niners have been almost perfect at so far this year.
16:18I don't know if they will be again this week.
16:20Um, but that's how Seattle.
16:22So if you don't turn it over and give them a short field, and if you don't let Jackson
16:25run over your head, I think you have a good shot to keep Seattle under 20 points.
16:29And I think that this game will probably resemble last week's game where it was, you know,
16:33pretty milk toast for the Niners.
16:35And then the defense stood up and it was three, three at the half.
16:38I think that both teams are going to try to play that same way and wait for the one
16:42big third quarter play where maybe you can get to Brock and get a tip or the Niners are
16:46thinking maybe we blitz Sam and he makes a bad throw.
16:49This one feels to me like the Denver game a lot in terms of like a cage match.
16:55And, you know, not that we're going to go up and down, like, did they score five straight
16:58times against, was that Arizona?
17:00Yeah.
17:00The Niners?
17:01Or Miami.
17:02First five?
17:02Miami?
17:03I can't remember which one.
17:04I'm losing track.
17:04I think it was Miami.
17:06Winds are like kids.
17:07Like, you love them all the same.
17:08You know, it's hard to actually figure out which one you love more, but this will not
17:12be that.
17:12And so I do think it's going to be a little bit more of, you know, let's manage it.
17:16Let's move the sticks.
17:17Let's punt if we have to in a good spot and let's win that battle.
17:20You're listening to 95.
17:21Seven, the game KGM, ZFM and HD one, San Francisco and Odyssey Sports Station.
17:24Always live on the free Odyssey app.
17:25And now broadcasting from the Laughing Monk studios.
17:28We need to ask you a favor.
17:30I don't know what all of your plans, and I'm looking at Evan when I say this, I don't know
17:34what all of your plans are moving around this weekend.
17:37But your roommate, our producer, is nervous.
17:41About what?
17:42About the game.
17:43Does Oregon play on Sunday?
17:45No.
17:45The Valkyries tonight.
17:46Exactly.
17:47No.
17:48No, he's nervous about the 49er game.
17:50He's very, very...
17:51He's nervous about every game.
17:52I know, but he's stressed.
17:54And, like, this is five full days of stress that he's now signing up for.
17:58It's only Wednesday, and he's already very stressed.
18:01And so, I don't know.
18:02I don't know if maybe you could take him for a walk or ice cream or something at some point.
18:06Take him for a walk.
18:06Between now and Sunday.
18:08Just, you know, some meditative, calming activities so that he doesn't blow a gasket before the game.
18:14Well, how about this?
18:15I'll try, but myself and Lorenzo Neal will be on from 11 to 1.30.
18:19So, maybe we can help him, you know, during that time.
18:21Just kind of talk things out.
18:23Yeah, bring him with you.
18:24Just talk things through.
18:24You know, bring him with you.
18:26Yeah.
18:27Get on down to the Laughing Monk Studios.
18:28Yeah, get some pizzas or something and bring him with you.
18:31Calm him down.
18:32Everybody needs some stress eating for games like this.
18:34Grant, you want to watch the game out somewhere?
18:37What?
18:38You want to watch the game out?
18:39You want to watch the game out somewhere?
18:41No, games like this, I just got to be locked by myself just so I can focus.
18:45Yeah, well, you guys won't even, you won't even, like, sit in the same room for something like this?
18:48Well, I'll be here.
18:48I'll probably go try and find someplace close to watch the game.
18:51I feel like, I mean, big games, everyone's different.
18:55I prefer also to watch them kind of alone and specifically with a broadcast.
18:59But, I don't know, sometimes if you're in a group or a crowd, you can commiserate.
19:05You can cheer together.
19:07Yeah.
19:08Clap hands.
19:08I don't know, whatever you do.
19:09I used to do that when I was a kid.
19:11I'd go lock myself in my dad's office, the den, as he called it.
19:14I'd go lock myself in there for the big games.
19:16That's why I was in there for the big earthquake of 1989.
19:20I was the only one in there.
19:22And I watched all of his tennis trophies start flying across the room.
19:25And I had to dodge them a little bit because I was locked in and yachting.
19:29The original Neo in the Matrix.
19:30Exactly.
19:31Game three, World Series.
19:33I was like, I don't want any of you around me.
19:35So, go be somewhere else.
19:37I'm going to be in dad's den, leave me alone, and then the world starts shaking.
19:41But that's where I used to go for games like this.
19:44Don't talk to me.
19:45In the den, yeah.
19:46In the den.
19:46And you probably want to stay close to me because for the 89 quake, I was in Northridge.
19:51And for the 94 Northridge quake, I was back here.
19:55You were here, yeah.
19:56So, your boys dodge them.
19:57One step ahead of the law.
19:59That's right.
19:59I'm not going to say this isn't a big game because so far it's the biggest of the first five
20:05weeks.
20:06It's across the NFL, but I think you've got two more opportunities.
20:10I'm with you.
20:11I actually, I look at how, okay, so Dre Greenlaw has up the emotion of this team.
20:16And then we watch the way he handles what he sees as a grudge match last week.
20:21And we all think it's very amusing.
20:24And it's funny because it worked out.
20:26And then we heard some of the Niners after the game talk about, like, we know what this is.
20:30We know what happened last year.
20:33I'm with you.
20:34I think that the Niners might need, like, we'll see how the first quarter goes.
20:39But calm them down.
20:41Like, I don't, I actually don't want the Niners putting that label on this.
20:47Like, this is our chance to prove that we belong.
20:51Like, just, this is week five.
20:55And I'm not going to downplay the importance of the game.
20:58But the worst thing that could happen is you come on plane flight home 4-1 with chances to play
21:04them again at your place later in the year.
21:06I just don't want them.
21:08It's an aggressive group.
21:09I don't want them out there committing personal fouls.
21:12I'm glad you said that because I feel a complete 360 degree the other way.
21:17Really?
21:17Actually, it's probably 180 because, you know, that's a lowism.
21:20And go ahead and run that out there.
21:21But go ahead and take a 15, send a message.
21:24If you win the game, then you've got a two-game lead and you're 3-0 in the division.
21:29So, for me, this is, it's not a must win.
21:32And, you know, I only preserve that for when it actually is a must win.
21:36But this is one where if you win it at Seattle, you already won at L.A.-ish.
21:42And you're 3-0 in the division.
21:44So, this becomes, like, a big-time thing you can kind of file away for, like, win the division.
21:49Again, not diminishing the what's on the table, the importance, the vibe, the rivalry.
21:55I mean, my God, we're all going to be standing up even in our living rooms.
21:58I get all that.
21:59And so will they.
22:00Or in the den.
22:00But I just, in the den.
22:01And I just, like, I don't, I don't think the Niners, like, I hear a lot of people being, like,
22:07this is everything.
22:09This is what the Niners need to prove.
22:11And it's, like, sure, they do.
22:14Over the season.
22:16Over the season.
22:17I get it.
22:18Like, you got the first battle last year.
22:20Seattle got the last laugh.
22:22Yeah.
22:22I'm interested in the last two laughs.
22:24Exactly.
22:24I'm interested in the last laugh.
22:27Not, not that I don't want chapter one, but I'd rather have the last laugh.
22:32Well, the odds are no one's going to commit a penalty, but they're going to do something that's going to
22:36get them fined.
22:37I mean, that's been the Niners thing so far for the last few weeks.
22:39It might get rescinded later.
22:40It might get rescinded a little later.
22:42But, yeah, if Dre Greenlock cost himself $10,000 to get the emotional edge on his side, I don't really
22:48think he cares.
22:49And I don't even know why he got fined.
22:51Like, do we know what he said?
22:52Do we have a John Boy lip reading?
22:54He might have said, you know what, Sean?
22:56I really appreciate you having faith in me and giving me that chance in Denver, my brother.
23:01I think it was close.
23:02Thank you for all $10 million.
23:03Seriously.
23:04Appreciate it.
23:04No, I think.
23:05I wish things would have worked out better in Denver.
23:07It might have been more about after the game than during the game.
23:11Ah, yes, you're right.
23:12Fred Warner had to go break up one more pass before everybody left for the locker room.
23:18What are you saying?
23:18Because Dre was coming for him.
23:20Leap you doing letting me go or something like that?
23:22To get off my field.
23:23Yeah, yeah, yeah.
23:24Get the bleep off my field.
23:26But he wanted to say it really close.
23:29Really close.
23:30Potentially centimeters away.
23:32I thought he said, Sean, seeing you, he's giving me all the feels.
23:36That's the way I read it.
23:38Say hi to the people in the marketing department.
23:40I miss them.
23:41I had a great time in Boulder, my friend.
23:43I don't know if it'll be his field this weekend, but I think it'll be good.
23:48To your point, it's not a game the Niners are on paper supposed to win.
23:51But if they do, that would be massive.
23:54Then you build a two-game lead and get yourself a nice cushion.
23:58All right.
23:58Coming up next here on 95.7 The Game, Mark Willard, Dan Dibley.
24:02You guys got?
24:02Greg Cosell and Coach Herm.
24:06Oh, hell yeah.
24:07Herm's on.
24:08Hello?
24:08Herm's on at 515.
24:10Well, you know where you play to win the game.
24:11Right here.
24:12On 95.7 The Game.
