02:31Catfish.
02:43Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago International audience and, of course, our brothers and sisters in Grenada.
02:49This is Beyond the Tape and I'm your host, Whitney Husbands, and I'm hoping that persons had a safe, enjoyable,
02:56productive weekend and a restful one at that.
02:59But we jumpstart a brand new week, a brand new work week.
03:02And once it's Monday, it's one gentleman who's always willing to be here with us.
03:06And, of course, who continues to bring closure to many of our families out there
03:10and is willing to continue to serve in different capacities to the beautiful red, white, and black.
03:16That is Trinidad and Tobago.
03:17We have none other than El Capitan, of course, and our hummingbird gold winner being Boosie
03:22because I know someone personally, Captain Rambra.
03:25Good evening to you, sir.
03:27Good evening, Whitney.
03:27It's a pleasure to be here.
03:29As usual, good evening to our Beyond the Tape family and our family in Grenada
03:33and international audience.
03:36I thought it was a very quiet weekend.
03:38We haven't had one like this for a long time.
03:41We had pretty good weather, cool weather, not too much sunshine.
03:45And you know when the sun is hot, it's out hot.
03:47But it was a mixed weather thing.
03:49But I think the weekend itself, we didn't see any big uproar
03:53or big social media thing that blew up.
03:57I found Captain as well, like the weekend, a lot of people, they were not out.
04:01Yes, it was a very, very quiet weekend.
04:03And I will tell you this, because I know for a fact we're entering in a period now of fasting
04:13for the Hindus.
04:14Yes, yes.
04:15And they do their thing because Diwali is coming up.
04:18And then the thing is, after that, you normally get into the next religious period, which is the period of
04:26the Christians.
04:27Yes.
04:27So I hope the season, as we welcome both seasons, Diwali and Christmas, you know,
04:33that citizens continue to have peaceful and quiet weekends like I did over the weekend
04:39because it's most welcome.
04:40I think we also enter into a period where, yes, we're seeing less gun violence,
04:47although, you know, the one or two, well, I saw a chopping in Guaya Guayari.
04:52It wasn't gun-related or probably not gun-related.
04:54Still is violent.
04:55But we've seen one or two of these things still cropping up.
04:58But by and large, I know, we're entering into a period, you know.
05:01I think, generally, slowly, we're undergoing a transformation.
05:07Hopefully, behavior-wise, we've seen less missing persons.
05:10We haven't received a call about a man and his vehicle, that big red flag who has gone missing,
05:17and we have to jump out and search, you know.
05:19You have the odd teenagers and so.
05:21But, you know, I think we're relatively going through a peaceful time in the year,
05:27and let's continue with that.
05:29Yeah, I think it will continue to be one that is a bit still
05:32because we know a lot of persons may not have the money to do certain things this year, especially.
05:38It's a tough year for many persons, so they're just observing what is the best thing to do,
05:43and I guess it's to stay still and not overextend your hand where your hand can't reach.
05:47And it could be that they're working and safe and again to celebrate the world,
05:51and then, you know, provide for the family for Christmas.
05:53I think we'll see more of families coming together more than the spending aspect of what it is.
05:59Yeah, and I think that was one area of concern of mine, right,
06:04that, you know, the spirituality and the reverence of the occasions commercialization has taken over
06:12to the extent that is more celebratory than reverence.
06:16So, you know, I think the equilibrium is slowly shifting.
06:20Whitney, let's hope and pray.
06:22Let's hope, fingers crossed, because a lot of people, as you mentioned,
06:24the values coming up, they want their road day.
06:26Yes, of course.
06:27And many persons like to go from house to house, but you see how prices going up, so we don't
06:32know.
06:32So you all take into consideration that as well, eh, when you showed up to somebody's house for their celebration.
06:36At least walk with something.
06:38Exactly.
06:38Walk with something, not with the free hands flowing.
06:41Right.
06:41And not with a container.
06:43Exactly.
06:43Just to pick up and leave.
06:45You remember the place is hard, so you have to be considered, especially if they welcome you into their place.
06:49Yeah.
06:49You know what that time is on giving time.
06:52And it's a giving time, and they have nice occasions down in Felicity,
06:56but then it's always champ-packed to get in there.
06:58There's Ram Lila going on down there and other parts of the country.
07:02Yes.
07:02And to get into Pier Road in Felicity is just champ-packing on a Diwali day,
07:07but they give away everything they have to the people.
07:11But I want us to touch on two missions.
07:13Yes, of course, let's dive straight into it.
07:15The quality of these missions does not mean to say that you have to jump out and search.
07:19Yes, yes.
07:19And these two came at a time when I could explain to our audience that sometimes helping families means sitting
07:29down
07:29and spending quality time with them on the phone and working out the logistics of it in a quiet way
07:36to try to achieve closure.
07:39And we had this one in Tobago still with the two fishermen.
07:42Yes.
07:42What we did is that we sent over one of our technical members to Tobago.
07:47So both Kesta Alexander, by the way, that is Gypsy's son, eh?
07:51I'm sorry, nephew.
07:52Lavew.
07:53Right?
07:53Kesta Alexander and David McLean, Jr., they have been missing since the 9th of October.
07:58And they went to pick a fish spot between Trinidad and Tobago, and we've not seen them since.
08:04However, David's father went out this Saturday night.
08:09In the area, he didn't see any debris like floating gas bottles or anything.
08:14So we don't feel that they both capsized.
08:18And we suspect very much.
08:20There was a little passing squall at that time.
08:23You know, I'm talking about technical information now.
08:26And they may have been caught in the rough seas.
08:31Engine went out and they probably drifted.
08:34Now we sent across Glenn Robinson to Tobago to get all the technical information,
08:39share our knowledge, and collate everything that the Coast Guard had, the Air Guard had,
08:43and put it together, a package.
08:45Here, if you look here, you will see the father going through with Glenn all the technical data.
08:52Now, what it's showing is that there were strong currents had entered Grenada,
08:56and that's why last week I called on our audience in Grenada to have the fisher folk there on the
09:01lookout.
09:02But by now, they would have passed Grenada and gone into open sea, and most likely in the Gulf of
09:08Mexico.
09:08We monitored the marine traffic every day to make sure.
09:12This is the current, and the current was going northwest to Grenada.
09:15That's the dark blue current.
09:17The dark blue, yes.
09:18So that's the existing current on that particular day.
09:21And so we know they would have most likely drifted.
09:24So this is a case where we know that fishermen have stayed out there for long, 9, 10, 15 days,
09:31and we suspect.
09:32There's a line just under David's finger there.
09:36That's the trajectory, and we're monitoring it by the hour.
09:39We know the current speed was 4 nautical miles per hour.
09:44So we know the trajectory that they're in, and we continue to work with the Coast Guard and the Air
09:50Guard
09:51to try our best to sensitize the marine craft operators in the area.
09:57In the Gulf of Mexico, it's pretty busy.
10:00So it's the entire USA Gulf coastline come down to Central and South America.
10:06So we really monitor that traffic and to see.
10:10We're hoping and we're really supporting this family to ensure that the word gets out there.
10:17That's as much as we could do at this point in time, keep the word out.
10:21And that's why we showed it here on Beyond the Thief today.
10:24There's Glenn with his uncle, with David Jr.'s uncle and father, David Jr. Sr.
10:31So we're asking those of you, you know, if you are fisher folk in that area,
10:37we have lots of Trinidadians working in the Gulf of Mexico.
10:40Please, you know, get onto our Facebook page and share the post and let them be alert.
10:46Because recently, earlier this year, we had fishermen who survived nine days out there, right?
10:52On our trip to Suriname, the boat caught a fire, the engine, and they jumped into our dinghy and they
10:58made it.
11:00Oh, right.
11:01We're hoping that we get some good news here.
11:02We're hoping we can get closure.
11:04Yes, moving forward.
11:05There was another case that we worked on, and I know the Express carry the story.
11:11The, how do you call that?
11:13The scoop.
11:14The scoop, oh, yes.
11:15The scoop, right?
11:16Yes.
11:17I was able to pass on the information to them very early this morning that this Venezuelan national,
11:25Maria Yorlis, she was allergic.
11:28Well, I could not say allergic.
11:30Again, I could say she was kidnapped.
11:32Yes.
11:32Abducted, sorry, from where she was staying in La Romina, in Trinidad.
11:40And I would say this, the police did intervene quietly, and the family was in contact with me.
11:48So we laid low for a little while.
11:50Yes.
11:50The poster went up while she was missing, and based on the information, the police has gotten thus far.
11:59They've been able to confirm that it may be a case of human trafficking, and the investigations are underway.
12:06Wow.
12:06In the meantime, I was in contact with her relatives in Venezuela, and once she was safely located,
12:14in the arms of the police, they made a request for her to return home to Venezuela,
12:19and that took place over the weekend.
12:22Remember, we kept quiet.
12:24Yes, yes.
12:25We kept quiet, and when she was safely in the arms of her relatives in Venezuela at around 9.30
12:33p.m. last night,
12:35that's when I broke the story that Maria is safe in the arms of her family,
12:41and I want to commend the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
12:44Yes.
12:45And I think, you see, the collaboration is important because we share the information,
12:50and in this case, we may have been able to stop someone from being the victim of human trafficking.
12:58That's important.
12:58You have a job well done to the TTPS, and across to your team as well, as usual, Captain.
13:03But we have some really sad news here where if, in this case, persons who continue to break the law,
13:09we see how the TTPS handles this situation.
13:13Now, yes, sad news for the person who's going to be locked up because he's not going to see the
13:18light of the moving forward,
13:19and that just goes to show, oh, in a few seconds, your entire life could change.
13:22Your entire life goes before you, and we're asking you to change your behavioral pattern.
13:27Yep. So, a penal man charged with attempted murder, a 46-year-old penal man,
13:32has appeared before a master of the High Court charged with the attempted murder of a male victim.
13:37Now, Don Soshio of Richard Rood was charged with the offense when he appeared in the Superior Master's Court
13:45on Monday, 19th, October, 2026.
13:48He was not called upon to plea and was remanded into custody.
13:53The accused will appear in court on October 27, 2026.
13:58Reports state that the victim was at his penal home on September 21, 2026,
14:03when three men known to him and with whom he had an altercation earlier that night
14:09allegedly forced their way into the house.
14:11It is alleged that the men who were armed with cutlasses pursued the victim into his bedroom,
14:17where they reportedly held him down and beat him about the body with the weapons resulting in him sustaining chopped
14:25wounds.
14:25The men then left the scene, and the victim was taken to seek medical attention.
14:29So, you know, this is a serious matter here, Captain.
14:33Yeah, and anger management is needed in this regard, so we're asking those persons out there.
14:38You simply, if you get angry in a particular situation, walk away from it.
14:45Yes.
14:45Go home, take a rest, sleep on it, and I'm sure, almost 100% sure,
14:50if you sleep on it the next day, whatsoever evil thoughts you had in your head would go away,
14:55and you will see a different option in front of you.
14:58So, this is the outcome you get when you don't, when you become hasty in situations,
15:04and you don't take control of your emotions.
15:07Being bad, simply reflect, flex the fact that you're not in control of your emotions,
15:13and you're not no bad boy or anything.
15:16Control, and this was a premeditated thing, because you should have had a person's house.
15:19You're just not in control of yourself. That's what it says.
15:22Yes. Now, you know, many times we stand here, and we always ask you,
15:26apart from having a rope in your vehicle, you know, for safety,
15:29but the importance of having security surveillance at your homes,
15:33because you just never know what could happen.
15:36And the reason why we say this is because this was on social media circulating,
15:40and this is why we tell persons, or we're not sure what really scared these monsters off.
15:46Yeah.
15:46But I think...
15:47But it's something that worked.
15:48I saw it, and I think they came in on the compound, not realizing that there were cameras.
15:54Mm-hmm.
15:54And then suddenly this guy...
15:56Something tripped.
15:57Yes. Suddenly he pointed to something, and I'm sure he called the other guy,
16:03and that is when they spot the camera.
16:05Well, it has to be not just the camera.
16:08It has something that...
16:09Because you know, now these criminals who care about cameras, and they're covered.
16:12So it's something that obviously we don't know, but it worked.
16:15Yes, it will.
16:16It definitely worked.
16:18It worked.
16:19But I think they didn't think it had cameras, and that got...
16:23This one, he's now spotting the camera.
16:25Well, it has to be something that was alerting them there,
16:28where the camera was already placed, because they won't start somebody camera, you know.
16:31Yeah.
16:32Something was moving there.
16:33Moving there.
16:34Yes, that startled them.
16:35I wonder if it was a gift.
16:37Probably.
16:38I'm not sure.
16:38Yeah, and so they made a history retreat.
16:42So I support the use of camera systems.
16:45Yes.
16:46Good ones, good ones.
16:48Good ones, good ones.
16:48Yes, yes.
16:48But it's hard to maintain and keep it in order,
16:50because plenty of times when we go to assist the police with canvassing for footage,
16:57you find that...
16:58Screening sometimes is outdated.
17:00Not only that the storage mechanism is,
17:02it can't take enough, and they didn't clear it out, and it stopped recording.
17:06So it's something that you have to look at carefully all the time.
17:09Yes.
17:10But it's worth the money.
17:11Now, it's time for us to get to Tobago.
17:14Now, earlier today, this is what happened.
17:17Captain...
17:18Right, so this is in Lambo, a similar incident,
17:20and I think it was highlighted on B on the tape,
17:23right in somewhere along this coastline down in Lambo,
17:27and a similar incident happened.
17:29And so, you know, unfortunately,
17:31I saw a resident calling for the installation of the road way down there.
17:36Now, if you know Lambo well on that,
17:38and right there, they're doing a lot of work to enhance the road,
17:42and maybe the time has come for it,
17:44but nevertheless, what would have caused,
17:47I don't know how this vehicle...
17:49You have to probably be speeding or lost control of your vehicle to end up like that.
17:54Are you taking any water, not paying attention to the way in which you're driving?
17:57Yes.
17:57And I was explaining to somebody that happens.
18:00I'm happy that anyone, persons who were in that vehicle,
18:04or a person, they came out safely.
18:06Yes, from all reports we've had,
18:09they came out safely from the vehicle.
18:12That's good.
18:12Now, sometimes you see me are distracted.
18:14Many of us get distracted on the road.
18:16So let me explain something to you.
18:17The police contacted me early this morning.
18:20There was probably something on the creek they wanted us to take a look at.
18:24And I was explaining to the police officers,
18:27so you have a seawall and two lanes.
18:29We were going to occupy the lane next to the seawall,
18:35and I was telling them it would be very hazardous for our members.
18:38Yes.
18:38Because you're walking on a small shoulder.
18:41Somebody driving, seeing this orange jersey,
18:43will get distracted and crash into us, right?
18:46Yes.
18:46So we had to take that into consideration.
18:49So, you know, you could be distracted by the sea.
18:51Easily.
18:52Easily.
18:52By the beauty of the sea.
18:54Yes, most definitely.
18:55Now, from Tobago back to Trinidad,
18:57but this took place in the Valencia area.
18:59Captain, once again,
19:01we just don't know what could cause a lot of things to happen.
19:04All right.
19:04So if you listen to the audio on this video,
19:06it was said that the gentleman,
19:08I can't remember which one,
19:10slept away at the steering.
19:12And this occurred very early this morning.
19:15Yes.
19:15So how could you,
19:16I believe it was a cube there,
19:18that the driver slept away when they spoke with him.
19:21Oh, of course.
19:21I cannot understand how he could be sleeping away at 6 a.m.
19:24You had to be overnight.
19:26You spend the night awake and probably now returning home.
19:29Probably from a shift.
19:31A very legitimate explanation.
19:35But they did indicate that the driver of the cube told them that he slept away.
19:40So you have to be careful on the roads at all.
19:42Yes.
19:43And if you're tired,
19:43you really need to find a spot that you could rest.
19:45Go on any days, Captain,
19:47where you could have put on the shoulder
19:48and say,
19:49let me just take a quick nap.
19:51No, you can't even do that.
19:52Because two things,
19:54somebody might come and rub you
19:55or the way in which some people drive,
19:57it's a dangerous thing to do.
19:58Either way to follow the shoulder.
20:00Let's say you might go by a police station and say,
20:02and pack up in the yard and or in the road.
20:04The road with you and take a nap.
20:06Good suggestion.
20:06Great suggestion.
20:07So officers,
20:08hopefully you all could accommodate that as well.
20:10All right?
20:10Right now it's time for us to take a look at what's making today's headlines.
20:46And those are your stories making today's headlines. We take that break. We'll be back with more.
21:16This feedback will help us improve the quality of service we give to you in our stations, on our streets,
21:23or even when you call for help. So just give us five minutes. Take this away, share your perspective, and
21:32help us improve our service.
22:04Maxonic Elite Stoves. Cook smarter, cook better.
22:09Now this is Radical Trading. And them have everything to cover anything. Radical Trading have the best fabric designs for
22:17your poster and needs, yeah? To furniture, car, boat, tent, even material for school bags.
22:23This one looks really nice on my coat, boy.
22:26They even make a pillow, too.
22:28It's a prank.
22:29What?
22:29Those shirts are forgetful money.
22:31Serious?
22:32They could pay for it for me.
22:33Me and my big mouth, boy. I won't have Radical get things to cover mouth yet.
22:38Radical Trading, four locations nationwide.
22:41Breaking news, developing stories, the issues that affect all nations as they happen.
22:46We bring you exclusive interviews with decision makers and in-depth analysis of the issues affecting your life.
22:53From Parliament to the community, from policy to people.
22:57That's what 90 minutes each night gives us.
22:59More time, more context, more of what matters.
23:26And welcome back.
23:28Just a reminder to the public, remember, you have the opportunity to be part of the TTPS public sector.
23:33Satisfaction Survey 2026.
23:35And remember, the deadline is on November 2nd, 2026.
23:40So make sure you can scan that barcode as we speak.
23:43Just use your phone.
23:44And if not, you can go on www.ttps.gov.tt
23:49or check out the TTPS Facebook page for the link to the survey.
23:54A reminder, remember, the survey closes on November 2nd, 2026.
23:58And if you're now joining us, we have Captain Rambrot here with us, of course,
24:01every Monday, who's always willing to guide us.
24:04And it's time for us to dive in to the missing persons in the month of October.
24:09Yes, but before we do that, Whitney, let me just extend support to the public survey.
24:16The survey, because you have the opportunity to give feedback to the police service.
24:23And when you provide that feedback, that now transforms itself into policies and programs to improve the police service.
24:34You may not understand how it works, but this is how it works.
24:38Feedback improves performance at the end of the day.
24:42So there's the opportunity to do that.
24:45So we had just a bit of a slowdown on the missing persons for October.
24:51Thus far, we've had 18 reports.
24:54Last week it was 15, so we just had the increase of three.
24:57We had the Tobago fishermen, Kester Alexander and David McLean.
25:04And as I said earlier, we're working with them.
25:07And we need your help just to spread the word to folks all around the United States, the southern coastline,
25:14the U.S. Gulf Coast.
25:16And if you have persons working on marine crafts all in the Gulf of Mexico, whether it be the oil
25:21industry or just commercial traffic,
25:24please spread the word to be on the lookout for a 28-foot pyrog that may be drifting into the
25:32Gulf of Mexico.
25:34And we still have outstanding Carlos Marine from the Separia district.
25:40And hopefully by this evening we can get some more information on Carlos Marine and where he may be.
25:47So if you have information on Carlos Marine, please contact the police at 999-555 or 800-TIPS or contact
25:57our team at 799-1453.
26:01So Whitney, these are the three outstanding.
26:06But we had 18 and just have three.
26:10You know, to me, things are looking up.
26:13We located persons, police and everybody else.
26:16I did see in, I don't know if you all dealt with it last week where the TTPS released the
26:22figures on missing persons up to last week.
26:27No, we didn't.
26:27Yeah, where they said that, you know, they had, I believe, 24 outstanding.
26:31And that is close to our figure.
26:33And to be in September and have 24 outstanding missing persons is a good place to be in previous years.
26:42It was as high as 74, 80 persons who remain outstanding.
26:48So, you know, we looked at the TTPS figures and they kind of correlate with us.
26:55Sometime in December, what we do is that we cross-reference and, you know, we tick off with their information
27:02so that our figures are always closer to them.
27:06The TTPS will always have more.
27:08I think they had 321 up to September and that's close to us.
27:12Just remember, I keep saying, we're seeing it reducing, right?
27:17And that's a good thing for Trinidad and Tobago.
27:19But, you know, we have to try and get it down to a smaller manageable amount as the years go
27:26by.
27:27Now, question, with persons who, they want to be left alone, as we mentioned, some people will just leave their
27:35location.
27:36In some cases, they say they'll run away.
27:39But they're alive and well and they just don't want to be found.
27:42Is it that that will fall in the category of still the missing persons?
27:45No, well, I have to ask the TTPS, right, what they do.
27:49No, they will record that person as found.
27:52As found.
27:53Well, once you find them.
27:54We, on our records, we'll put them as found, but we do have to publicly put them as found.
28:00Okay.
28:00And so we give that person the space and time to sort out their business.
28:04We know you're safe.
28:05We're sure you're safe.
28:06And so we just don't publish the fact that you are found.
28:10It happens from time to time.
28:12And this is common for people to walk away, just to cool their heads, to take a break from things.
28:18And we get that from time to time.
28:19Now, when persons waste police time, and when I say so, it's because, all right, you decided to run away
28:29and you really didn't run away because the parents had to panic, right?
28:34And as you said, cool in your head.
28:36Could that person be charged?
28:38I don't think so because to go missing is not an offense.
28:42And then the other thing is that you didn't make the report.
28:45It was somebody else who made the report.
28:47So to charge them is difficult.
28:50But in the cases of fake kidnappings, right, fake kidnappings, persons are charged.
28:56And I agree with that, that you come before the police and you give them a fake story.
29:04I feel you should charge them.
29:06But it happens.
29:07It happens.
29:07There are a number of fake kidnappings we ourselves, we've seen.
29:11And the person wasn't genuinely kidnapped or anything like that.
29:15And sometimes they allow, they sell the story of kidnapping in order to extort money from maybe a close relative
29:25or something like that.
29:26So if you're a serial runaway, and I'm not speaking of persons who have mental issues here, we're speaking of
29:31persons with a sin mind and they just constantly clean their head.
29:37Well, we call them aunties and uncles because we know all of them, right.
29:41We know auntie Stacey Eckers.
29:44Well, she just, yeah, and she would go on.
29:47Eventually, she would show up in a hospital.
29:50I don't know if she has a love for the hospital system.
29:54Some probably they love and care she gets there.
29:56People, people that are there, she's able to interact.
29:58They interact with them.
29:59Sometimes they're lonely at home.
30:01And auntie Stacey Eckers.
30:03I think we had that about eight times in the same way this year, right.
30:07So what she would do is quietly turn up the radio, volume.
30:12Somebody is right there next door.
30:14Yes.
30:15In our next room.
30:15Turn it up, then quietly walk out, dress up nicer, purse and everything, walk out the door and go.
30:25And a day or two after, we were finally in a hospital on our bed.
30:30Yeah.
30:31And that's the reality of it.
30:33We deal with them all day.
30:34But we know them.
30:35And so we do not waste resources on them.
30:40We know she will arrive at a hospital and in every instance, a nurse will take up the phone and
30:46say, Captain, look at you see here.
30:48Look at you see here.
30:50Well, that's nice to know that the nurse.
30:52But you know, in doing so, you have to be careful because, you know, outside there is not an environment
30:58where you want to be doing things by yourself without the knowledge of your family.
31:03And things could go haywire.
31:05And you don't want that.
31:06We have a caller on whole caller.
31:07Good evening.
31:10Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
31:13Good evening, sir.
31:15Listen to you and the captain.
31:17Yes.
31:18Captain looks very fun in a slump jacket.
31:21Yes.
31:22I'm excited for you.
31:24Tanks caller.
31:25Okay, okay.
31:27I'm Sarah.
31:27Sarah.
31:28Now, I have a person who is here.
31:31I am worried about these guys.
31:33Maybe they could do you know this.
31:36They could be.'
31:37I don't know.
31:38I don't know.
31:38It could be some way in the deep ocean.
31:40They are worried.
31:41They are nice.
31:43Hungry, thirsty.
31:44Sleepy.
31:45That's just a rain setting in the season.
31:49There's one.
31:50I mean, could you satellite.
31:51This satellite communication technology.
32:16all right thanks very much and um caller you're yeah you know i know the voices so
32:22i've heard you many a times on this program so i know when i hear you you would you would
32:29make
32:29some suggestions that really out of the box or great suggestions i want to tell you about the
32:35suggestion you made to to do this or to really get those two fishermen you need the technology now
32:42we have the air guard they will do area sweeps the coast guards they'll be sharing the information
32:48but there exists the technology that could bring us you know awesome you know assist us greatly i saw
32:56a provision in the budget 2026 budget for the air god for the air god for the drone right now
33:04the drone
33:05is the proper piece of equipment to use in this case you get closer you know i spoke about the
33:12debris
33:12field right now it also has to do with colors because we study this thing inside out when you're
33:18there if you have if you have a piece of yellow it will show up other colors wouldn't show up
33:23because
33:23the ocean is either dark or um yeah mainly dark color right so um something like a orange blue
33:33baby blue drum yes but the yellow but the drones could get closer and really search the ocean
33:40and in this case we had the coordinates we had the area because there's one area and
33:45they go there to drop the fishpots to catch the lobsters to bring to tobago to sell so we need
33:52we know the
33:53area so the drones will help the other thing is satellite mapping and we're working on trying to get the
34:00exact satellite imagery on for the 9th of um october and i reached out to the tobago imagine emergency
34:10management agency for assistance in this regard and the u.s we've been assisting and providing technical
34:18data but we are not as advanced as they are so we should build our capacity in trinidad and tobago

40:31the ttps is seeing if anyone has information that could assist with regards to the persons we try to
40:38identify here please with any information contact 555 800 tips or contact the northern central division
40:45at st joseph police station at six six two two five two two or six six two four zero three
40:53eight or
40:53six six three three eight eight eight two captain yeah no i i i saw it earlier and we did
41:00cross
41:00reference that with respect to the area the location of these persons and and um none we were we were
41:09not
41:09able to correlate any any of the the bodies there with names that we have but the reality um with
41:16me of
41:16the situation is that we have i do have a homeless population yes issue that we are seeing they they
41:22in every instance they they they are walking so they make them they're vulnerable to accidents motor vehicle
41:31accidents and as well is sometimes in the area they sleep they they probably had a natural
41:39death and they just their bodies remain there and no one has come forth to identify the person because
41:47they may not know that the person is missing the other reality is that the other reality is that we
41:56do
41:56have um families in trindad who you know because of situations they they they cut links with their
42:03their relatives and they allow them you know to do what they want and so they they they they have
42:08no idea
42:08what's going on with them and in most cases it's because they're suffering from some um you know
42:15what i call uh mental their their mental health is compromised and so they they don't want to spend
42:22that time to take them to the doctor and get them diagnosed and treated and so in most cases these
42:29um
42:29persons don't want to take the treatment so they end up in the streets well i'm hoping not
42:34the information that we gave you able to bring some closer to some of the families you need to take
42:39that break we'll be back too ugly too hot too dark too skinny too quiet too weird we all know
42:55that not
42:55only fists but wounds can beat you down you don't have to believe what the bullies say you are you

45:04this is my fight song take back my life song prove i'm all right
45:11so
45:22and we are back now captain there were some artists that happened over the weekend
45:26that many persons saw that was on social media and this is why we constantly tell persons to take
45:34your time now we don't know the situations we do know the circumstances but as best as you could be
45:39a
45:39defensive driver try to try and be defensive i agree with that because we see too much persons hurrying
45:47on the road you know driving crazy now the first incident was at lopino main road all right and this
45:54here we're not sure captain if the person lost control they had to lose control distracted fell asleep
45:59we don't know yeah and um so it's difficult to understand what took place there but really
46:05we don't see this type of driving you just came out of our side road onto another road very strange
46:11you you didn't straighten you you're staring at all it's as if you never you kept you kept you
46:16staring on it locked yeah and the thing about it if i don't know if jackie showed it he tried
46:22to
46:22to reverse out of you inside a big box train like he woke up you can't come out you you
46:28just can't do
46:29yeah you're stuck and then jackie could you play it over again just to show that he was trying to
46:35get out of this these things yeah i'm still trying to avoid the person there you know asking him to
46:41repair the property that's the first thing probably crosses my living area here but you're inside a
46:47a chasm there is difficult to come out yes yes you see he was trying to get out yes yes
46:54but he was
46:54stuck yeah he was stuck it looked like someone's home yeah someone's home they just go into this
47:00situation they're coming out to see what would have banned their property right and there it is
47:05eventually he came out when he saw that he couldn't get what are we quarreling with the pavement i don't
47:09know who he's quarreling with so maybe it could be alcohol it could be i don't know what what what
47:15caused it but certainly yes and this incident was in the sanga grande area oh some new cars i see
47:22yeah
47:23new car yeah yeah a smash up smash up here but that's that looks like a a taxi it is
47:31a taxi the one
47:33the one in front there and somebody banged the taxi in the back there but you've seen the type of
47:38damage
47:38these collisions would cause and the cost to repair these vehicles so at the end of the day it pays
47:45to drive safely so that you know at the end of the day you wouldn't you will have your vehicle
47:50to use
47:50continuously it wouldn't have to go for repair or anything like that there's a cost benefit um to
47:57driving safe on the nation's roads yeah you know sometimes i wonder even though i mean we are getting
48:03any footage here right captain but some persons who are driving and they take out their phone to record
48:10what incident took place and a police sees you doing that and they pull it over the police officer is
48:16wrong no he's right he's right you're not supposed to be driving with your phone in your hand at all
48:21under those circumstances but you know i am guilty to it for beyond the tip yes yes but you have
48:27to be
48:28you have to be mindful normally if i am coming up on a monday and i see something on the
48:32highway
48:32but by the way i am not driving so i have a driver so that's different that is different yeah
48:38but um
48:39it it it it causes videos to be made and and hopefully we can use it for educational purposes
48:48but you're breaking the law if you're driving yeah most definitely now captain another hike
48:54oh yes about this hike all right this hike so a school reach out to us the pishnu boys in
49:00hindu college the unesco club coordinated by miss avitri bahal and um she reached out to us to
49:09take charge of a hike with 40 students to mount tabor mount tabor is just behind mount saint benedict and
49:15this is a beautiful bunch of um students and i want to make this point that we had we had
49:2114 members
49:22so the ratio of high guys to hikers was more than adequate but we sent 14 of our members to
49:31ensure that
49:32you almost had a you know one in three kind of ratio so you know they were able to manage
49:38these students
49:39up to mount tabor but he listened to the switney when they got there they wanted to go further so
49:46we
49:46the the team lead desi simon he was able to take them around um another circuit and they thoroughly
49:54enjoyed that i am sure the teachers were overly excited about going that extra yeah and there are
49:59lots of ruins up there and the old monastery and everything so that is very um educational and for
50:06many of these students they know it was the first time on such a hike um they were well well
50:12they were very
50:13disciplined and i could see that and the the the coordinator expressed her satisfaction in terms
50:20of the conduct of the hike and i just want to make appeal to those of you listening out there
50:25if it is
50:26that you want us to go with your students we have we have the training this is i'm sure she
50:32was in your
50:32studio one gabriella she made it to the top of mount tabor right this is desi simon yeah what does
50:39the strong way on hikes is very professional in the conduct of hikes and she made it to the top
50:45even
50:45in the arms of daddy someone right so you you yeah and um it was an enjoyable thing so we're
50:53asking
50:53schools if it is that you have your little clubs your hiking clubs please yeah this is on the top
50:59of
50:59mount tower we're seeing behind her yeah if jackie could hold that picture take it back um we have
51:07to make an appeal for a national flag behind her is the flagpole with signals they still take any
51:14fun and we have there's always a national flag yeah no it's rather to tread it with a breeze so
51:20we make
51:21an enough people public appeal if you have a national flag to spare we would take it and put it
51:27back up it
51:29israeli ddddd it is that flag is synonymous with mount table a lot of people want to achieve that
51:38goal to reach the flag the national flag right so she did it and she did it yeah so gabriel
51:44yeah and
51:46you can be easy yeah i can listen i can keeps you fit about apart from that look at the
51:53mental benefits
51:54it's like mental therapy but you need to put your phone away and thing right yes of course you don't
51:59need that beauty you can stumble trinidad and tobago i always say trinidad because one of the most
52:04beautiful places in the i agree most definitely i understand you have um some big greetings oh yes so
52:11we have um ian paul ian paul is one a founding member of of of hunter search and rescue team
52:18he was with me on
52:19the andrea barrage search and we got him at age 21 you know i like about ian paul ian paul
52:27at age 21
52:29yes at home listening to what's going on heard the call for the hunters to come out and he came
52:35out
52:36and i would tell you this about ian and i know he wouldn't mind me saying this ian was one
52:41of the most
52:42at-risk youths in this country and we've kept ian we haven't kept here and he stayed with us
52:51for himself on his own pollution we've guided him supported him he's excellent as a searcher he has
53:00excellent skills and he has continued to make it made us proud it is our investment in here and we're
53:09proud of the fact that he continues to achieve and achieve and achieve so that's the story so ian
53:17you you're gonna be your birthday is wednesday i put it up today because i don't want to put it
53:22up next
53:22year and you know we will be meeting by you on wednesday evening so happy birthday ian happy birthday
53:30to you know and enjoy to the fullest continue doing great things out there um so captain the floor is
53:36yours to say a few words well yeah i i i didn't know about the ttps um survey satisfaction survey
53:43so i
53:44want to encourage um you all to participate in it because that is how um planners plan um they need
53:51to
53:51hear your your voice they need to know what you're thinking to make improvement and as the advertisement
