00:00I was quite annoyed when you informed me earlier today that ESPN Analytics calls the Browns,
00:06or gives the Titans a 50% chance of winning this game on Sunday.
00:11I understand being home dogs to the Ravens, even without Lamar Jackson.
00:17I understand not giving them a chance to win against the Steelers.
00:20I understand against the Buccaneers.
00:22I understand every bit of slander you can throw at this Browns team.
00:25I'm not asking for the national crowd's respect.
00:28Quite frankly, I don't care, because I'm just going to keep enjoying it,
00:31and if it turns out to be false, it turns out to be false.
00:34If I won four games in vain, I won four games in vain, but I'm going to let it play
00:39out from here.
00:40That being said, so again, I'm not going after the national respect.
00:45ESPN giving the Titans 50% chance to win a game is insanely disrespectful to the Cleveland Browns,
00:53because you can at least go to the Browns and go,
00:55all right, they've got a great defense.
00:57They've got a very productive defense.
00:59On almost every way you can define defensive performance, they are fantastic.
01:04There is no way you can spin the Titans as a real NFL team.
01:09There's not one thing they do that's good.
01:11There's not one thing they do that's interesting.
01:14And this is blasphemy.
01:16A one-win Titans team being given the equal chance to win it as a four-win Browns team.
01:22At some point, we have to draw the line and say, enough is enough.
01:25We boycott ESPN.
01:26They call it a coin flip.
01:27And it's funny, because in that description, though, I was wondering if you're going to go to the Titans being
01:31the main reason,
01:32or the Browns the main reason.
01:33And it's interesting, because I think you settled on where I settled on.
01:35The Titans are so bad as a football team.
01:38It's not even about the Browns at this point.
01:40It's like, why are you giving the Titans any amount of respect?
01:42Yep.
01:42I get it.
01:43They had a good defensive performance last week.
01:45They finally turned the ball over.
01:46Three turnovers.
01:47Like, fine.
01:47Okay.
01:48Cam Ward is awful.
01:50Cam Ward cannot play.
01:52And I just don't understand how they got here.
01:54And maybe this is the point.
01:55And maybe they also think Deshaun is awful, too, though.
01:58They're giving a lot of credit to the Titans for beating a booty-cheeks Colts team.
02:03Where's the Browns' credit for beating the Steelers?
02:06Where's the Browns' credit for, with or without him,
02:10a team that they were four-and-a-half-point dogs to at home for beating the Ravens?
02:14A game nobody thought they would win.
02:16Where's that credit?
02:17How can you give the Titans credit for a win against the Colts,
02:21who are going to end up giving another top-ten pick to the Jets
02:25because of the god-awful Sauce Gardner trade?
02:28You're going to give some credit.
02:30That's a real victory?
02:31But the Browns have nothing?
02:33You can't give the Browns a single?
02:35It's a lack of respect is what it is.
02:36Is that what it is?
02:37I'm used to it.
02:38We are used to it.
02:39I don't care about it when it comes to any other game this year.
02:42This is a game where the Browns should be...
02:44I'll take 55% to 45%.
02:46Well, that's more Vegas, right?
02:48Vegas is more of the 55% to 45%.
02:50ESPN is, as we described, calling it a coin flip.
02:52Like, there's just not a lot of faith in this Browns team that's existing out there.
02:56And that's been a theme for all of us.
02:58I get that.
02:58But at 4-2, if you just looked at the standings, you'd think there's no way.
03:01That's why I thought it was interesting.
03:03Baskin and Phelps went down this road earlier today.
03:05They're like, this isn't a trap game.
03:07It can't be a trap game if you're not that much significantly better than the other team.
03:12And it's like, all right.
03:13So, if this is the feel on this one, then we just got to adjust to what we're thinking here.
03:18What was the debate they had yesterday?
03:20Because we did bring it up.
03:21Are they legit?
03:22Are they legit?
03:22That was the debate.
03:23So, yeah.
03:24What did make you legit?
03:25Meaning, like, does this...
03:26So, wait a minute.
03:26I can't understand that from Baskin and Phelps.
03:28So, a win over the Titans would make you legit.
03:32But the Browns aren't that much better than the Titans?
03:35I think that actually goes in concert with each other.
03:37Okay.
03:37Because the idea there would then be, if they don't think that the Browns are significantly
03:42better, and they think it's a closer game, then they put more stock in an actual win.
03:48The problem we're having in this is that I don't think the Titans are any good.
03:51So, like, I don't give you nearly as much credit for beating a Titans team that I think
03:55is lousy.
03:56They're ready to line up the credit.
03:58They're ready to dump a whole bucket of credit on the Browns' front lawn if they get this
04:02win.
04:02And so, actually, the two thoughts do work in concert.
04:05I don't like it.
04:06I don't like any of this.
04:08I want a modicum of respect for the Browns.
04:10At some point, at four and two, that's a nice sample size.
04:15That's one-third of the season, basically.
04:17We can give them respect by also understanding.
04:20I'm not saying they're the Ravens.
04:21I'm not saying they're the Chiefs.
04:22I'm not saying they're the Bills or the toast of the AFC.
04:27But saying that they are...
04:28That this is a...
04:29And I get the road also adds a little...
04:31But saying that this is a coin flip of a game is just...
04:35I'm going to say it again.
04:36It's insulting to the Cleveland Browns.
04:37I'm insulted as a Browns fan.
04:39And I think ESPN owes us an apology.
04:41As a Shador fan, do you want him at that party?
04:44Sure.
04:44Have fun in life.
04:45What do I care?
04:45Okay.
04:46Yeah.
04:48And honestly, it has been a criticism of Shador in the past is that the only social time
04:52that he has for himself is to do his passion projects.
04:57Like, it's like, you know, it's...
04:58I mean, that's...
04:59Everyone decides what they want to do with their own time, though.
05:02Yeah.
05:02I don't think it's going to help them.
05:03You seem like you're not thrilled about this development.
05:05If it's true, we don't even know that it's true.
05:07I feel like this would be a moment that Shador should be at that party, right?
05:10Like, I feel like just because you're not the starter, just because you're not the host,
05:13doesn't mean you can go there.
05:14Because you're not just supporting Deshaun, you're supporting the camaraderie that everyone's
05:19talking about, how close this team is.
05:22Yeah.
05:22But again, like, Jared Verst didn't go either.
05:23So this wasn't like every person on the roster was there.
05:26It's a defensive player.
05:27Yeah.
05:27But Jared Verst has been dubbed one of our leaders on this team.
05:30Yeah.
05:30It's a defensive player.
05:31I mean, this is...
05:32Like, Shador and Deshaun are supposed to be close.
05:34You know?
05:35Like, you would imagine if...
05:36You know, this is a guy that last year reportedly helped Shador...
05:40I definitely understand what you're saying that way.
05:41...through his kind of playing time, and that was like a really big moment for them.
05:44I mean, it does appear a little more obvious than when a, you know, a really strong defensive
05:49player misses it.
05:50So you make it sound like maybe he's got sour grapes about the whole ordeal, and that's
05:53why he didn't go to the party.
05:53I mean, I think if you go to this and, like, some of the stuff that people have talked about
05:57of, like, Shador wanting out or Shador should want out, I think it's interesting.
06:01I don't think I make the biggest deal of it, but I feel like if I was a Shadorian, this
06:06would be a moment that I would kind of address this and, you know, whether Shador should
06:10be there or shouldn't be there.
06:11Oh, I completely disagree.
06:13I have no idea what's going on in his day-to-day life.
06:15I don't know.
06:15Maybe he had a meeting with his new agent or something that he had to attend to.
06:19I don't know.
06:19Maybe he had a throwing session that he had to go to.
06:22I don't know what he's got to do in his day-to-day life.
06:23Those are some lame excuses.
06:25I just feel it's irresponsible to comment on whether he should or shouldn't be on a party
06:29if I don't know his game plan.
06:31I mean, we don't know half of the itineraries of anybody that we talk about, and we can have
06:35a pretty strong...
06:36If this was the other way around, if Deshaun didn't go to a Shador party, I bet you'd have an
06:40opinion.
06:40I wouldn't care on the slightest bit.
06:43I don't care that Jared Verse wasn't there.
06:45I mean, again, that's a defensive player.
06:47It's a little different.
06:49I feel like...
06:49He's the backup quarterback.
06:51So, that's...
06:52Again, Deshaun's the starting quarterback.
06:54Yeah, that's why Deshaun threw the party.
06:57He's the starting quarterback.
06:58Well, yeah, and that's why Shador should go there as a support of the starting quarterback.
07:01Because I think right now there's an idea that Shador is getting impatient.
07:04Shador's not supporting his teammates.
07:06Like, I think that's what...
07:08Again, I'm not saying that, but I think...
07:09You sound like you're saying that.
07:10No, I'm saying that is kind of...
07:12You sound like you're saying that.
07:13Like, Shador has to beat down a lot of narratives, fair or unfair, and that is one of them.
07:17I don't necessarily share them, by the way, but I think this would be a great moment.
07:21If Shador was at that party, for a fact, I think that would be a great sign for Shador.
07:25I would laud Shador for fulfilling that role as a good teammate.
07:30I don't know that going to a party or not makes you a good or bad teammate, though.
07:33I think maybe that's where the difference in this conversation is.
07:34It's like, I don't think you have to hang out with people in order to be a good teammate.
07:37I don't think you have to go to the parties to be a good teammate.
07:39I think you'd be a teammate by hanging out with the people at the facilities for all hours
07:43in the day like they already do.
07:44I just want it on the record.
07:46Again, this is...
07:48The line must set it today that he had heard Shador didn't go to Deshaun's party.
07:52I don't think it's the end-all, be-all.
07:54I just think as the resident Shadorian here, the most pro-Shador person here,
07:58I think it's interesting to get your opinion on it.
08:01If it was...
08:02You're not going to sway my opinion.
08:03Well, no, no, no. That's why I'm trying to get your opinion.
08:05But if it was the opposite...
08:07Well, but if it was the opposite...
08:08And I told you that. I told you that same answer.
08:10If this was a Shador party...
08:11I told you I don't care if it's Jared Verse.
08:13I don't care if Shador threw a party and Deshaun Watson didn't go.
08:15It's a party. This is not a team obligation or a team function.
08:19It is a team function if it's celebrating the week five win.
08:23The head coach wasn't there.
08:23Week six win. That's what it is.
08:25Where's your energy for Jared Verse not going? I'm still confused by that.
08:27Because he's on the defensive side of the ball. It's a little different.
08:30If you traded for him, you thought he was a team captain.
08:32You thought he was supposed to be...
08:33Not saying, like, the general we all thought he was going to be a team captain
08:35and somebody that...
08:36And his excuse was he's in Westlake and a few minutes away.
08:39I mean, I think it's telling you want to put this on Jared Verse instead of Shador.
08:42There's supposed to be, like, a real tight relationship there.
08:44I think it's perfectly fine.
08:46I don't think you have to go to somebody's party in order to make you a good or a bad
08:49teammate.
08:50And I think in your free time, because you spend so much time in the facilities as is
08:54in your free time, if you want to do literally anything else in life, go do that.
08:58You shouldn't be forced to hang out with people in order to be declared a good teammate or not.
09:02That seems crazy to me.
09:03Let's go with T in Cleveland.
09:05T, welcome to the show.
09:07Hey, how you doing, Nick?
09:08Yes.
09:08Nick, you got to stop, man.
09:10Stop what?
09:10That party does not matter.
09:12Oh, wait, wait, wait.
09:13Do you think it – so did you laud – when you found out that Deshaun threw this party
09:18and a lot of the teammates went there, did you think that was a good sign for the Cleveland Browns?
09:23You said a lot of the teammates, but you just told the co-host Jared Verse didn't matter.
09:28T, T, real quick.
09:29Jared Verse didn't go.
09:30T, this is how conversation works.
09:31I kind of throw something out to you and then you respond.
09:34So I'll ask you, did you think it was a good sign that Deshaun threw this party
09:38and a lot of his teammates showed up?
09:41No, it doesn't matter.
09:42It's a party.
09:43It's not a team function.
09:44Okay.
09:44Just because teammates went doesn't make it a team function.
09:48Nobody's saying it is a team function.
09:50Deshaun threw the party.
09:52Five minutes ago, you said it's a team function.
09:55All right.
09:55The point is, so it's not – so if Shador threw a party and Deshaun didn't go,
10:01you wouldn't have a problem with that either?
10:03No, I wouldn't.
10:04All right.
10:04I believe you.
10:05We are grown men.
10:06You are.
10:07Darn right, T.
10:08We appreciate you there.
10:10216-474-0092.
10:12Big deal, little deal, no deal.
10:14Lima saying Shador did not go.
10:16He had heard that Shador was not in attendance at Deshaun's party.
10:20I believe this would be on Monday.
10:22Is that a big deal, little deal, no deal?
10:23Did Lima make it a big deal?
10:26He said he wasn't making a big deal, but it's Lima.
10:28So, of course, he was making a big deal.
10:29I just think that's ridiculous to try to make that a big deal.
10:32I think it's an interesting point.
10:33I do think it's interesting.
10:35Again, you know me.
10:36I'm closer to pro Shador than anything.
10:39As somebody who is rooted for Shador, who still roots for Shador, by the way, I still think he could
10:43have his moment this year.
10:45I would have liked to hear if he was there or not.
10:46If you believe that, though, the idea that he was not there and you're going to read something into that,
10:51then that actually, the point you had made earlier that you think that, well, I'm doing a lot of my
10:56points versus your points on this, so stay with me because I just talked for a while there.
10:59I'll try.
11:00But, like, a couple weeks ago, I made the point.
11:03This is not going well for Shador.
11:04This is not going how Shador intended.
11:06Yeah.
11:06You said that point was silly.
11:07Oh, no, no, no.
11:08I said if that was true, I'd be very upset with Shador.
11:11Yeah, I didn't say your point was silly.
11:13I think you might have something there.
11:14If what you're reaching at is like, hey, he clearly seems upset with Deshaun.
11:19He didn't want to go to his party, which, again, I don't think so.
11:20I just don't know what he had to do, and I don't think you have to go to a co
11:23-worker's party to be called a good teammate.
11:25But, like, that's besides the point.
11:26The point is this would go in concert with that.
11:30And I think that would be a troubling sign for me.
11:33I think if you can only, you know, support things within a building, sorry, things that happen outside the building
11:40when things are going well for you, I think that does reflect on your character.
11:44So we're doing a lot of if, if, if.
11:46But, yeah, I would be sad to hear that Shador wasn't at this party for a reason other than he
11:51had a prior obligation.
11:52I would be sad.
11:53I want, I want the best for Shador, and part of the best for Shador is proving you can be
11:58one of the guys, and you don't always have to be the guy.
12:00Because I still maintain, I mean, this has not gone the way that Shador wanted or envisioned in any sort
12:04of way.
12:05And, like, if Shador wants to start to be, and I'm not suggesting he is because he can go to
12:08a party, but if he wants to start to be grumpy about the whole ordeal, you are the backup quarterback,
12:12and it doesn't seem like you're going to be playing anytime soon.
12:14This does not go the way he thought it was going to.
12:15Yeah, that's a job thing.
12:16This is kind of, it seems like a personal thing.
12:18Like, I mean, not like a personal, it's like a, it's like a good function.
12:21I think it's a good thing to go and support your teammates and support the quarterback that's starting.
12:25I think you can separate your personal, your professional frustration and maybe support those personal ties that you have.
