00:43Let's go!
00:45That's how you do it!
00:49The fowler is there!
00:53St Johnstone are ahead!
00:59And it does go in, finally, for Dundee United!
01:06It opens up for him and he goes for it!
01:14Cut bar, sewer!
01:15And this time St Mirren make it count!
01:21That's a mistake and there's a chance!
01:28What a start for Falker!
01:31Might fall for Greg Kilty!
01:32And if nothing, Kilmarnock regain the lead!
01:42Good evening and welcome to Sports Scene.
01:45The best of today's four games are on the way
01:47in the company of 2003 Scottish Young Player of the Year,
01:51Mr Fantastic James McFadden.
01:53And personally, I think he looks more like Thing.
01:55Anyway, we start at Ibrox.
01:57We have a visitor to St Johnstone, last one back in 2017.
02:05Rangers looking to get back to winning ways
02:07after last weekend's draw against Dundee.
02:10This is their last home game ahead of Remembrance Day.
02:14So Ibrox will pay their respects to those who have lost their lives in conflicts around the world.
02:22So many women who have lost their lives, defeated our country.
02:34Perfectly observed minute silence as Rangers look to narrow the gap on Celtic at the top of the table.
02:42They made just one change to the side that drew at Dens Park.
02:45The return of Kevin Kelsey to the starting line-up in place of Shady Gassama.
02:51As for St Johnstone, two changes from their last outing with Josh Campbell and Jamie Gulland coming in.
02:57Jason Holt is on the bench, Sam Stanton out altogether.
03:03It's a lovely pass out from Neil to Sterling, really opens things up for Rangers.
03:11And now Buenani takes over for Minsu.
03:16Squeezes it back through to Buenani!
03:18It's a big chance, but it's well wide in the end from the winger.
03:24This lovely link-up play between the pair.
03:28Buenani skews his shot wide.
03:31He'll feel he should have added to the goal he scored at Dens last week.
03:36It's been a tough opening to the game for St Johnstone.
03:40Rangers on the front foot from the off.
03:45Here's Kelsey for Minsu.
03:49Up against Smith.
03:51And back for Kelsey.
03:52And scooped wide a goal.
03:56Stewart probably not helped by the conditions.
03:58Just managing to shovel that one wide for a corner kick.
04:06Conditions absolutely abysmal.
04:11Minsu almost sneaking that through for Nadiri, but for Diabati's interception.
04:16He's overdone it now though, Diabati, Kelsey's robbed him.
04:21Buenani for Minsu, big chance!
04:23Good save from Stewart.
04:25And Nadiri used an arm there, and that'll be a free kick to St Johnstone.
04:34Again, Rangers threatening, can't quite find that elusive opener.
04:41Good goalkeeping, you have to say.
04:46Buenani with a lovely threaded pass.
04:48Minsu just unable to finish it off.
04:53Pandur clears under pressure.
04:55Lovely layoff from Kelsey to Minsu.
04:58Options right and left.
05:01Is it to Buenani?
05:04Cutting in that left foot.
05:06And deflected over.
05:09Buenani always looking to chop back inside.
05:13And he nearly did so to a really good effect here.
05:17The Rangers counter.
05:20Almost providing the opening goal of the game.
05:24Buenani denied.
05:29That's neat play.
05:31Gullin just running into Raskan.
05:35Here's Minsu.
05:38Makes his way infield.
05:40There's a lovely reverse pass.
05:41Nadiri lifts his head.
05:43There's Kevin Kelsey with the opening goal.
05:45Laid on a plate for him by his strike partner.
05:50And the Venezuelan strikes the opener.
05:59It's all about the pass initially from Minsu.
06:03The unselfish play from Nadiri.
06:07Kevin Kelsey wasn't going to miss that one.
06:09From inside the six-yard box.
06:13And he has his third Rangers goal.
06:17At last their pressure pays off.
06:22I think Seymour Valakari picked the correct jacket this afternoon.
06:27Here's Minsu.
06:29Trying his luck off the upright.
06:33Well, he's done everything but score in a Rangers jersey so far.
06:38Very unlucky there, the Korean.
06:47Sure for the hefty clearance.
06:51Goal, that's a lovely first touch.
06:53Goal, that's a lovely first touch.
06:53Threads it through for Fowler.
06:55Opportunity here for the equaliser.
06:57Side netting only.
07:00Well, he's been in deadly goal-scoring form, Fowler.
07:04And he'd have backed him to hit the target there.
07:08The Abatis lost that to Kelsey.
07:11And Rangers could be in for number two here.
07:14Nadiri steers it back to Kelsey once more.
07:17That's a brilliant save from Stewart.
07:20But I imagine Kelsey will feel that he should have doubled his own tally and that of Rangers.
07:28Nadiri again, unselfish, but Stewart guesses correctly, wonderful stop.
07:40And St. Johnson have come out on the front foot in the second half.
07:44What a blistering effort that is from Alex.
07:47And Pandur had to look lively.
07:49I think this was going to dip under the crossbar.
07:52He really got a hold of that, Alex.
07:56Conor kick comes from Alex and glance wide.
08:00Wilson Johnston have had opportunities at the start of this second half.
08:05And that was another one.
08:07Rangers fans growing restless.
08:11As Raskyano picks up loose play from Cottrell.
08:15Now it's Minsu up against Smith.
08:18Stewart hasn't dealt with it and Adiri turns it in.
08:21And Rangers have a two-goal cushion.
08:25Just when they've been under real St. Johnston pressure.
08:30Cottrell gives it away needlessly.
08:34And Minsu's effort.
08:37It was too hot for Stewart to handle.
08:40Again, the condition's probably not helping the keeper.
08:43And Nadiri gleefully taps home.
08:49Minsu.
08:50Must get Penrice in support.
08:53And behind for the corner.
09:01Minsu curls it.
09:04Fernandes is there and there's Kelsey for number three.
09:10It's an easy finish in the end.
09:14And Rangers surely have secured the points now.
09:18He's well onside, you can see there.
09:21Completely unmarked after Fernandes flick on.
09:26And it's a brace for Kevin Kelsey.
09:33Fotheringham with the challenge that caused a yelper pain from Nico Raskan.
09:39Play continues.
09:42It's going to be looked at this by Andrew Dallas.
09:47And Chris Graham's been invited to have another look at the screen.
09:52Well, you can see the follow-through catches Raskan pretty high.
09:57The intent is immaterial.
10:00And in Chris Graham's view, that is worthy of a red card after a second look.
10:06And Kai Fotheringham is dismissed.
10:19Can Rangers rack up?
10:22Another goal or two to boost their goal difference against the ten men.
10:26JD Gassama bursting into the box, touches it back.
10:30There's Chukwani!
10:31It's number four for Rangers.
10:33The substitutes combining.
10:37Terrific play from Gassama down the left.
10:40It's that burst of speed.
10:42Looked like he'd overdone it almost.
10:44But able to cut it back.
10:46And Chukwani with a cool finish for his first goal of the season.
10:51Rounding off the victory.
10:53And in the end, it's an emphatic win for Rangers.
10:58Against Derek McInnes' former side.
11:02And Ibrox on a wet and windy afternoon.
11:05It finishes Rangers 4.
11:08St Johnstone 0.
11:09We've got to be pleased with the overall contribution from every player.
11:13Fans, miserable day.
11:15But they just needed to see their team win.
11:17And I think they would have enjoyed a lot of what we saw today.
11:20Four goals, a clean sheet.
11:21In particular, some of the player, the movement and the combinations was terrific.
11:25So it was an improvement of where we've been for the last couple of weeks.
11:29And hopefully we can improve again.
11:30Because we've got games coming up with bigger challenges coming ahead.
11:33It was our intention to hit them transition as well in the first half.
11:37And we had.
11:38We had.
11:39Fowler was.
11:40He was there through.
11:41He was.
11:42We had a couple of close moments with a better technical execution.
11:46Maybe you could have hurt even more.
11:47And that's the disappointment.
11:49Because when you get those moments, you need to ask more questions.
11:52What we did, especially in the first half.
11:53But then the 15 minutes of the second half, we really boost it.
11:57But it's hollow words.
11:59You need to take your chances.
12:00If you don't take the opponent, they will punish you.
12:04Rangers cruised to victory at Ibricks with three second half goals.
12:08Fairly comfortable in the end, James.
12:09Yeah, it was.
12:10I thought it was a comfortable, strong first half performance.
12:13Johnson did then come out and made the changes
12:15and tried to put Rangers under a bit of pressure.
12:17But Rangers then went on and, you know, get the job done very professionally.
12:21And deservedly won a comfortable afternoon for them.
12:25And a deserving, you know, 4-0 victory.
12:27Yeah, I would agree.
12:28Minsuk, he was outstanding today.
12:30He's your kind of player, isn't he?
12:32And he had a big contribution.
12:33Yeah, he was.
12:34And he played last week against Undee.
12:37And he kept coming deep to get on the ball.
12:40And never really saw the best of him in the first half.
12:42Second half, he really came to life.
12:44Really influential in that game.
12:45And he started with a left off in this game.
12:48Playing off the left-hand side on this occasion.
12:49Showing his versatility.
12:51He likes to drive forward.
12:53And not only that, he gets his head up.
12:54And he can play the pass, as you see.
12:56It's good movement from Nadiri and Kelsey.
12:59Exactly what you want for your strikers.
13:01One that goes and bends the run.
13:02The other one that then goes and backs it up.
13:04But Minsuk Kim's little drop of the shoulder's great.
13:07The vision's great.
13:08The execution of the pass, excellent.
13:10And it's really good to see when your strikers are linking up with that to score goals.
13:14But he was a constant threat.
13:16And as I said, I like the positivity.
13:18He wants to drive forward.
13:20OK, he could potentially put a cross in there.
13:22But don't mind him going for a goal.
13:24Showing that he's caught it well.
13:25And Nadiri like all good strikers getting in and following in.
13:29And good delivery again.
13:30He had a lot of corners today.
13:31And maybe the delivery is something that could be better at times.
13:34But showing their threat once again.
13:36Emmanuel Fernandes with a touch on the ball.
13:37He's really unlucky not to have scored himself, isn't he?
13:39Yeah, he is.
13:39But I think that you're seeing a player that is happy to play off the right.
13:43He's happy to play in a support role behind a striker.
13:45He's happy to play off the left.
13:46And he's impacting the team.
13:48He's growing.
13:48And I think that the more that happens, the more games he plays, the bigger influence he'll have.
13:53Goals will come.
13:53Goals will come.
13:54Touchy Chukwani, he got the fourth goal.
13:57We've not really seen much of him in a Rangers shirt this season.
14:00But this will do his confidence, no harm.
14:01Yeah, it will.
14:02And again, when you're making changes to the team, it's important to come on and have an impact.
14:09JD Gassama missing out today, coming on.
14:12And that's Gassama at his best.
14:14Because he's direct.
14:15We know he's got the speed, which he shows brilliantly here.
14:18And the real purpose to get to the byline, then get your head up.
14:22Chukwani following in.
14:23St. Johnson actually look as if they've got a lot of good numbers there.
14:27But they're not really doing anything.
14:28They're all going, almost ball watching.
14:30You can see Holt trying to get in and get down the line of the cross to block it.
14:34And Chukwani just holds his position.
14:36Love a little check.
14:37And it's a comfortable finish for him.
14:39But it's exactly what you want for your subs coming on the pitch.
14:41It was an important win for Rangers after dropping points last weekend just to get the momentum starting again.
14:47Yeah, it was.
14:47And I think that the performance in the first half was very good.
14:50They probably could have and should have been further ahead.
14:53And a couple of weeks ago, they play Kilmarnock.
14:55They go 3-0 up at half-time.
14:57You think game's done.
14:58Kilmarnock then came out and played really well in the second half and have chances.
15:01St. Johnson had a couple of chances.
15:02But, yeah, I think it was important for Rangers after...
15:06Not really a blip.
15:07Dundee have been excellent this season.
15:08It was a really good performance.
15:09But I think it's important at home to get back to winning ways.
15:12Kai Fotheringham sent off.
15:14Yes.
15:14Referee taken over to the VAR.
15:16I don't agree with this decision.
15:17I don't know about you.
15:17No, I don't.
15:18I really feel for him.
15:20Look, I understand when...
15:22If you see the point of contact, it doesn't look great.
15:27I don't think there's an enormous amount of force in it.
15:30He goes to ground.
15:31He wins the ball.
15:31He's follow-through catches Raskan on the...
15:34You know, above the ankle, which normally you would say,
15:37yes, that's an easy red card.
15:38I think Chris Graham is sent to VAR by Andrew Dallas.
15:41It takes a while to get to the decision.
15:44I mean, there's not a lot to see.
15:45You can see the initial slide.
15:48You can see the contact.
15:49You can see the force, the follow-through.
15:51I don't know why he's taking so long.
15:52It tells me he's conflicted on...
15:54Once he's started sliding, he wins the ball.
15:57You can't take his leg away.
15:58In fact, I think he does try to almost take his leg away...
16:01It looks like it.
16:01...at the point of impact.
16:02For me, there's no endangering a player there.
16:05I don't think there's any real malice in the tackle.
16:09I think the force, he's endangering an opponent.
16:11Is it excessive force or brutality?
16:13I don't think it is.
16:13Is he endangering Niko Raskan?
16:17I'm not so sure Niko Raskan will tell you how sore that is.
16:21I don't think there's a great deal of force.
16:25I think the same with Alakaris.
16:26He's going to have no complaints with it.
16:27I think when you see the still, it doesn't look great.
16:32But, yeah, I do feel for him.
16:33I do feel for Kai Fotheringham.
16:35Three and four for Kelsey.
16:36Four and three for Naderi.
16:38Glad I got that right.
16:39It's a good thing.
16:40Derek McInnes, I think, mentioned it after the game
16:42that both strikers are finding the net regular just now.
16:45It's brilliant for you as a manager when that's happening.
16:47Absolutely.
16:48And the goals they're scoring are goals you want your striker to score.
16:50I know that sounds really simple.
16:52They look like they're linking up well.
16:53They're making the runs that are going to complement each other.
16:56That will grow.
16:57I know it's probably not the first choice,
16:59but that's what happens when you get your opportunity.
17:01You have to go and take it.
17:02They're scoring goals.
17:03They're setting goals up for each other.
17:04That's exactly what you want from your two strikers.
17:07Agreed.
17:08Dundee United welcome Aberdeen now
17:10with just a point separating the sides at kick-off.
17:16Sixth meets seventh at a sodden Tannadice
17:19where Aberdeen have a rotten record.
17:22Just one win here in the last nine for the Dons
17:24who come into this one on the back of a 3-1 win
17:26against Steven Robinson's old club, St Mirren.
17:30This weekend is show races in the red cards.
17:32Weekend of action on their 30th anniversary year.
17:36Just the one change for Dundee United
17:38as Zach Sapsford replaces Ejessi Metzsoko
17:40as the starting striker.
17:42It's the Aussies' first start since early September.
17:45Aberdeen have been struck down by a sickness bug through the week.
17:48They've made four changes.
17:49Jack Milne and Gavin Molloy come in at centre-back.
17:51Dexter Armstrong and Naya Molloy also come in.
17:57Well, Steven Robinson's had a lot to deal with this week.
17:59Lewis Mayo ruled out for two months.
18:04That's Knuster ruled out with the very last kick of training,
18:08apparently.
18:10Will Steven Robinson's new defence shape up?
18:14David Dickinson is the referee, Nick Walsh is the VAR.
18:19Hopefully we don't have to mention him too much
18:21throughout proceedings.
18:23And Aberdeen
18:24have the first attack of the game.
18:27It comes to Connor Ronin, shapes to shoot,
18:28and it's headed away over the bar.
18:32Decent start from the visitors.
18:35It's Forbes who had to clear Connor Ronin's early shot.
18:48Iqbal, brilliant ball to find Jesse Randall.
18:52Well, Cameron made the run.
18:53Instead it was crossed, and Benny will tick up now.
18:59Tate, assessing his options,
19:01just lays it off to Iqbal,
19:02who is urged to shoot,
19:04and he finds the bottom corner!
19:08A strike Zidane would be proud of!
19:12The Iraqi international gives United the lead!
19:19Well, it was Tate who laid it off,
19:22and I think there's a deflection
19:27from Zidane Iqbal.
19:29Oh, in fact, there's two
19:30that take it away from the Aberdeen keeper.
19:37Nice turn.
19:38That will be a free kick, though.
19:43Against Chibitaru.
19:45Nesta, Guinness-Walker winning it.
19:48Stuart Armstrong against his old side
19:50to whip this one in.
19:54Not well cleared.
19:56The ball pinballing around the area,
19:59drops to Guinness-Walker!
20:01And Aberdeen hit back quickly.
20:05And it's a goal from the left-back,
20:07Nesta, Guinness-Walker.
20:10United just never got that clear.
20:14And Guinness-Walker using the force
20:18to put Aberdeen level at Tanadice.
20:22Cool and composed and slotting it into the corner.
20:28What a start to this game.
20:31It's been frenetic
20:32in pretty roofy conditions
20:35as United come forward.
20:37Again, it's spilled by Muller.
20:40And Guinness-Walker
20:40has to make sure of that one.
20:48The corner from Chibitaru
20:50all the way to the back.
20:51There's Dylan Tate!
20:53An immediate response
20:55from Dundee United.
20:57And the captain has them
20:59back in front.
21:02I think it's Chris Cadden
21:04who Tate just spins away from.
21:07You can see Cadden's frustration
21:08slapping the turf.
21:12And it's Aberdeen
21:13who have started
21:14the second half
21:15the brighter.
21:16The introduction of Lewis Smith
21:18coming on for a reboot.
21:20It certainly helped
21:20and that's a loose touch
21:22from Dylan Tate
21:23which allows Aberdeen
21:24into the box.
21:25Connor Ronan pulls it back.
21:27Malua lays it off for Smith!
21:31Well, should Malua
21:32have had the shot there?
21:34I think that might be
21:35what Steven Robinson's saying.
21:38Lewis Smith only just
21:40on the pitch
21:40with a decent opportunity.
21:42United doing just enough
21:43to put him off.
21:48Strong header from Malloy
21:49picked up by Smith
21:51in the middle
21:52and Ronan charges onto it
21:53and unleashes!
21:56That is trademark
21:58Connor Ronan.
22:00We saw it from
22:01his St Mirren days
22:04and now he's doing it
22:05in the white of Aberdeen.
22:08Aberdeen
22:08arrowing that
22:09into the bottom corner
22:10and it's no less
22:12than Aberdeen deserve.
22:15Guinness Walker
22:17curls in.
22:18Headed away by Forbes.
22:20Might drop still
22:20for Lyons
22:21and blocked again.
22:24Desperate Dundee United
22:25defending.
22:28Aberdeen coming back
22:30at them though.
22:32Brad Lyons
22:33forced wide.
22:34Oh, his cross
22:35hits the crossbar.
22:38It's unorthodox
22:39from the Northern Irishman.
22:40It would have been a fluke
22:41but Aberdeen are
22:42almost in front there.
22:48Cameron just loses out
22:49but it's still picked up
22:50by United.
22:51In fact,
22:51that's a lovely flowing move
22:53and Jesse Randall
22:54driving forward
22:55in the driving rain
22:56cuts it across
22:57to Sapsford!
22:59fantastic goal
23:00from Dundee United
23:02and for the third time
23:03they are ahead.
23:07It's Randall to Sapsford,
23:09the Antipodeans
23:10linking up.
23:12Oh, well,
23:13it might not count
23:14because David Dickinson
23:15is coming across
23:16to the screen.
23:17Is Daniel Benny
23:21obstructing
23:22or interfering
23:23in an offside position?
23:24does he put
23:25Marius Muller off there?
23:27It would be harsh
23:28but it is offside.
23:31We are level again.
23:35Sapsford,
23:36it's a brilliant finish.
23:37Clinical.
23:38First time.
23:40Benny too close
23:40to the action.
23:45Iqbal,
23:46oh,
23:46that's lovely
23:46from Zidane.
23:49as Lyle Cameron
23:50slips it to the left.
23:54Comes all the way
23:55across.
23:57The momentum
23:58still with United
23:58despite that goal
23:59being chopped off.
24:00There's a header
24:01from Sapsford!
24:03Brilliant!
24:05And a little
24:06VAR celebration.
24:07This one will count
24:08surely.
24:10A fine ball in
24:11from Dylan Tate.
24:13And Zach Sapsford
24:15has his goal
24:16on his start
24:17to put United
24:18back in front.
24:23Lachlan Rose
24:23just on as a sub
24:25and he's picked
24:25that one off.
24:26Here comes
24:27Euro.
24:29Can United
24:29find a way
24:30to kill this game
24:30off?
24:31Randall
24:32with the cross
24:33it drops
24:34for Ferrucci
24:34at the back post.
24:36He pulls it back
24:36for Rose!
24:37Oh,
24:37it's over the bar.
24:39Huge opportunity
24:41for Lachlan Rose
24:42to make it 4-2
24:44and to seal
24:44the three points.
24:46doesn't have
24:47the composure
24:48though.
24:50Averdine are
24:51pressing here.
24:52You feel
24:52they deserve
24:53something
24:53perhaps from
24:54this game.
24:55It's been
24:55an improved
24:56performance
24:57from them
24:58and under
24:59such strenuous
25:00circumstances as
25:01well.
25:02But instead
25:02it's United
25:03coming away
25:03again.
25:04Jesse Randall
25:05he's got
25:06the support
25:06there.
25:07Lachlan Rose
25:07has made
25:07the run
25:08in the middle
25:08it must be
25:09his header
25:10oh it's
25:10cleared off
25:11the line
25:12nowhere near
25:13enough power
25:13from Lachlan Rose
25:16it will remain
25:173-2
25:17and that one
25:19might yet
25:19haunt him.
25:22They dug deep
25:23at times
25:23you know
25:24Aberdeen
25:24don't mess about
25:25with the ball
25:26in the wide areas
25:26they look to try
25:27and get
25:27lots of crosses
25:28into the box
25:29and two centre-halves
25:31were outstanding
25:31you know
25:32Michael Forbes
25:32is playing
25:33with a big gash
25:34on the side
25:35of his face
25:35had to get
25:36stitches at half-time
25:37Bert Esselin
25:37has been kicked
25:38in the head
25:39a couple of times
25:39and that's what
25:40you need
25:40from your
25:41leaders at the
25:42back
25:42to go and
25:42put their
25:43neck on the
25:43line
25:43because it's
25:44worth it
25:44at the end
25:45of the day
25:45and then I
25:45think the
25:47goal that we
25:47eventually get
25:48to go and
25:48win it
25:49was again
25:49brilliant
25:50you know
25:50crossing from
25:50the left
25:51managed to
25:51keep it alive
25:52on the far
25:52side
25:53and then
25:53Sapsford's
25:53movement
25:54getting between
25:55the two
25:55centre-backs
25:56was just
25:56a terrific
25:57all-round
25:58performance
25:58and as you
25:59say
25:59really really
25:59difficult
26:00conditions
26:01it's hard
26:01to take
26:02because I
26:02thought we
26:03deserve
26:03something
26:03out of
26:03the game
26:04some of
26:05our play
26:05going forward
26:05was very
26:06very good
26:07but we
26:08conceded
26:08three goals
26:09away from
26:09home
26:09when the
26:10goals were
26:11disappointing
26:11really
26:11disappointing
26:12I'm not
26:12going to
26:12hide away
26:13from that
26:13so you
26:15don't win
26:15games
26:15when you
26:16concede
26:16three
26:16away
26:16from
26:17home
26:18Well again
26:19in absolutely
26:20horrendous
26:20conditions
26:21James
26:21both teams
26:22playing
26:23some really
26:24good football
26:24it was open
26:25it was entertaining
26:26not what you're
26:26expecting on a
26:27day like today
26:27No
26:27not at all
26:28but they deserve
26:29enormous credit
26:30because it was
26:31some really good
26:32play from
26:32both sides
26:33some brilliant
26:34goals scored
26:35great chances
26:36it was a really
26:38close game
26:39but a thoroughly
26:41enjoyable one
26:41considering the
26:42conditions are
26:43not great
26:44they're not ideal
26:45let's start with
26:46the disallowed goal
26:47it was a brilliant
26:48goal firstly
26:49were VAR wrong
26:51to intervene
26:51yeah I think so
26:53I think that
26:54first of all
26:54as you say
26:55they play again
26:56from Dunday
26:56United outstanding
26:57and it's a
27:00wonderful finish
27:01it is
27:01I mean
27:02Benny gets in
27:03down the line
27:04if you like
27:06I don't think
27:07he's impacted
27:08anything
27:09this is the view
27:09the goalkeeper
27:10can see everything
27:11yeah
27:11I don't think
27:12there's an impact
27:14for me
27:15I think by the
27:15time Benny's
27:16jumped
27:17then
27:18when he lands
27:20he's down the line
27:21but at the time
27:22it's hit
27:22I don't think
27:23he's had any
27:24impact
27:24I was wondering
27:26whether potentially
27:28they've managed
27:28to find
27:29there was a touch
27:30on him
27:30but it doesn't
27:32I don't think
27:32there's anything
27:33he's trying to get out of the way
27:34of it
27:34he's not trying to move towards it
27:37it doesn't change a thing about the goal
27:38it's a wonderfully worked goal
27:40a really strong hit
27:42from Sapsford
27:43I don't think Moller's getting anywhere near it
27:45I think that
27:46I don't agree with the decision
27:48to rule the goal out
27:49I'll second that
27:49we're agreeing a lot
27:51tonight
27:51it's good
27:52I don't know
27:54he did then
27:55get the winner
27:55Sapsford
27:56and I love this header
27:57it's a brilliant header
27:58because
27:59he's got a lot to do with it
28:01yeah he has
28:01again
28:02it's excellent play
28:03from Dundee United
28:04and a lot's been made
28:05either midfield three
28:06and no wonder
28:07you know
28:07it's Iqbal to
28:09Cameron
28:09and then
28:10by the time the ball comes back in
28:12it's Dylan Tate
28:13with a delivery
28:13outstanding delivery
28:14great movement
28:16from Sapsford
28:17and
28:17he's had
28:18a goal ruled out
28:19a wonderful goal ruled out
28:21but doesn't let it impact him
28:22he's in the middle of the goal
28:23his movement's great
28:24he gets there first
28:25and the glancing header
28:27I mean it's a great header
28:29I mean you mentioned
28:30the midfield three there
28:31I mean Dylan Tate himself
28:32that's an assist
28:33he obviously scored
28:34a goal as well
28:35that's been a large part
28:37of United's success
28:38over these last
28:39four or five games
28:40where they've really
28:41picked up results
28:42yeah and Jim's
28:43you know right
28:43being a former centre half
28:45to single out
28:46his centre backs
28:47at the end of the game
28:48but the midfield three
28:49for me are
28:50tremendous
28:51great balance
28:52there's a great variety
28:53to their play
28:54they really complement
28:54each other really well
28:56and there's no wonder
28:57they're having big influences
28:58on the game
28:59agreed
29:00Aberdeen
29:0020 shots today
29:01but only three
29:03on target
29:04obviously two of them
29:05were the goals
29:05yeah
29:06but I think that
29:07their play was good
29:09we're speaking about
29:10a team that
29:11yes they do like to put
29:12crosses into the box
29:13and make you defend
29:14but this is
29:15that's a brilliant goal
29:16because you've got
29:17two strikers there
29:18where normally
29:19even though they'll get
29:20their back to goal
29:21spin
29:21normally they'd spin and hit
29:23yeah
29:23but there's a touch
29:24first of all
29:25from Malua to Nisbet
29:27who you're thinking
29:28right he can actually
29:28just spin and hit that
29:29but he's got the awareness
29:31to drop it off
29:32to Guinness Walker
29:33and it's a lovely finish
29:34and again they score
29:36another wonderful goal
29:37where you're looking at it
29:38and saying
29:38good football
29:39real good quality
29:41Ronan with the strike here
29:43along the deck
29:44we spoke about the conditions
29:46you know the pitch
29:46is going to be slick
29:47use it to your advantage
29:49and Ronan does here
29:50brilliantly
29:51where a strike
29:52that's unstoppable
29:52for me
29:53and they did have
29:54a lot of the play
29:55they had a lot of chances
29:56they got in dangerous areas
29:58it was just a really
29:59really good game
30:00close game
30:01and Dunday United
30:02shading it obviously
30:02yeah it's two defeats
30:03and three for Aberdeen
30:04they're kind of in a strange
30:05position because they're
30:06four points
30:07from the bottom of the league
30:08but they're also four points
30:09from fourth
30:10the league's not really
30:11kind of
30:12it's early isn't it
30:13yeah but I mean
30:14still probably
30:15not looking great
30:16in terms of where they are
30:17in the league
30:17but a couple of wins
30:18they could be firing right up
30:19no but it's just a narrative
30:20around Aberdeen at the minute
30:21that they're not doing that well
30:23obviously you're speaking
30:24after a defeat
30:24but they go into a game today
30:25where Jim's had a lot of praise
30:27for the work that he's done
30:28they were a point ahead
30:29of Aberdeen before today's game
30:30if Aberdeen had managed
30:31to get the victory
30:32they go above them
30:33but that's football
30:35there's a lot
30:35a lot still to be done
30:36but I think Aberdeen have shown
30:38that they're going to be competitive
30:39once again
30:39yeah
30:40okay
30:40plenty coming up
30:42for you to enjoy
30:42across the BBC

31:16is available online
31:17on Monday
31:20both Falkirk
31:21and Kilmarnock
31:22had important wins
31:23last weekend
31:23who could follow up
31:24this afternoon
31:25at the Falkirk Stadium
31:30Falkirk
31:31might not mind
31:32the sight of Kilmarnock
31:33again
31:33the Bairns
31:34won all three meetings
31:35last season
31:36while Kille's
31:37last top flight
31:38win here
31:38was well over
31:3916 years ago
31:41both sides
31:42make a couple of changes
31:43Leon McCann
31:44starts at left back
31:45for Falkirk
31:45with Scott Tanser
31:46dropping to the bench
31:48Ben Crowhouse
31:49is replaced in midfield
31:50by the Latvian midfielder
31:51Dennis Melnix
31:52for Kilmarnock
31:54Jamie Brandon
31:54starts at right back
31:55in place of MJ
31:56Canson-Kamara
31:57but Aaron Tashbola
31:59who went to the World Cup
32:00with DR Congo
32:01comes in for Bailey Rice
32:02in midfield
32:08and it comes from the Latvian
32:14decent start here
32:15from Falkirk
32:16and
32:17Callum Ferry
32:18wasn't too sure
32:18about that one
32:19and went for the safety
32:20first option
32:21the wind
32:22causing problems
32:23for the goalie
32:24early on
32:31still a chance
32:34for Lowry
32:38can't keep it down
32:41yet to score
32:42this season
32:43maybe this is
32:44an example
32:45why
32:45edge of the area
32:46skied it
32:56in the end of the game
32:57he's made a mistake
32:57there
32:58now can Falkirk
32:59capitalise
33:00they can't
33:03ball was charged
33:05down
33:05and Aaron Tashbola
33:07is mightily relieved
33:08there
33:13here
33:14Brian Strain
33:16Barbrook
33:17into Brad Spencer
33:20played from Spencer
33:22to Ethan Ross
33:23his delivery to the back post
33:25chance here for Falkirk
33:26has gone in
33:27it's an own goal
33:29Jacob Morrell
33:30is going to take the credit
33:31let Falkirk have the lead
33:33just before the half hour
33:36frustration for the visiting goalkeeper
33:40Falkirk won't care though
33:43they're on a roll
33:44and they sense
33:46potentially
33:47back to back
33:49wins
33:50good delivery
33:51from Ross
33:52Morrell
33:54to call McCarthy's
33:55right
33:56thigh
33:57and that's where
33:58the own goals come from
34:00and Falkirk have the lead
34:03Kilmarnock in search
34:04of a leveller
34:07shooting Larson
34:08back to
34:09Lowry
34:11Lowry's delivery
34:13inches away from a goal
34:15for Kilmarnock
34:16it might yet come
34:17still
34:18Falkirk having to defend
34:23Lowry's delivery
34:23that might have been
34:24the second own goal
34:25of the game
34:25coming back off the crossbar
34:26then
34:29Melnick's challenge
34:29there
34:30does that come off a hand
34:31I wonder if VAR
34:32is checking
34:33a potential handball
34:36check complete
34:36nothing doing
34:37from a Kilmarnock
34:38point of view
34:44Melnick's
34:45will try and launch
34:45this one
34:46as far as he can
34:47Ethan Ross
34:48might give chase
34:49here
34:53still Ethan Ross
34:55makes Ferry make the save
34:57and it's appreciated
34:59by the home crowd
35:00good play from
35:01Ethan Ross
35:02he saw the top corner
35:03so though
35:04did the goalkeeper
35:07difficult
35:07especially in
35:08these windy conditions
35:11might be difficult
35:12to defend the corner
35:13as well
35:14strains
35:15delivery
35:16three and Falkirk have
35:18their second
35:19Kilmarnock couldn't defend
35:22the corner
35:23and it's Jacob
35:25Morrell once again
35:27the chance of
35:28USA
35:29are because
35:30their American striker
35:32Jacob Morrell
35:33now has five goals
35:36in his last five and a half
35:38games
35:42Kilty for Kilmarnock
35:45Kilty for Kilmarnock
35:46chance here
35:47still a chance
35:49for Tisbola
35:50and it looks like
35:51he'll have to settle
35:53for another corner kick
35:54could have been a whole lot
35:56better
35:56for Kilmarnock
35:58as Falkirk struggled
35:59to get the ball away
36:00the visiting manager
36:02will be slightly happier
36:03with his team up
36:03the other end of the pitch
36:07Kilty's delivery
36:08the free header
36:08and Falkirk survive
36:12Tom Lowry
36:13doesn't know how
36:14Kilty's corner
36:16was good
36:17it looked like
36:18Tyrese John jewels
36:19with the diving header
36:21the storm
36:22has well and truly
36:23arrived at the Falkirk
36:24stadium
36:25goodness me
36:27there could be a card
36:28here
36:29is the referee going
36:31to his pocket
36:31I thought he was
36:32yes
36:32Jamie Brandon
36:33penalised
36:36not particularly
36:38happy about it
36:40blind strains
36:41me at the heart
36:41of most set pieces
36:43so far
36:43that one's pretty good
36:44as well
36:44and a third
36:46does come
36:46for Falkirk
36:49and the home
36:50fans can celebrate
36:51three well-earned
36:53points
36:54Dennis Melnix
36:55gets the
36:56congratulations
36:57from his
36:58teammates
37:00it's another
37:01own goal
37:01actually
37:02it's danger
37:03this time
37:04Melnix
37:05is taking
37:05the credit
37:06for being
37:06involved in
37:07amongst it
37:07but that's
37:09a second
37:09own goal
37:10of the game
37:10and surely
37:11now
37:12Falkirk
37:13have the game
37:14signed
37:15sealed
37:15and delivered
37:15all three
37:16points
37:16the visiting
37:17fans have
37:18seen enough
37:18no wonder
37:19they're heading
37:19for the
37:20exits
37:24they're heading
37:25fancy
37:25a fourth
37:25here
37:26potentially
37:28and Eames
37:29tries from
37:29distance
37:30wonderful save
37:31from Callum
37:33Ferry
37:33did really well
37:34to keep out
37:35Eames
37:35difficult conditions
37:37excellent save
37:42Falkirk
37:42struggling to
37:43clear
37:46overhead clearance
37:47from Liam
37:48Henderson
37:48might fall
37:49nicely for
37:50Owen Eames
37:51who've done
37:51really well
37:52here
37:52still the
37:53youngster
37:54is going
37:55brilliant play
37:56from Owen
37:56Eames
37:57chance here
37:58for Barbrook
37:59another great
38:00save from
38:00the goalie
38:03Morrell's
38:03ball
38:04looking for
38:04McCann
38:05well Callum
38:06Ferry's
38:07doing really
38:08well for his
38:09side
38:09the game's
38:09gone
38:10they're three
38:10down
38:10but for him
38:11it could have
38:12been four
38:12to five
38:17thoroughly
38:17miserable
38:18looking
38:18Neil McCann
38:23oh and Eames
38:24is away
38:25here
38:25for Falkirk
38:27waiting for
38:28the cavalry
38:30there's Morrell
38:31chance for
38:32four
38:33once again
38:34a super
38:35stop
38:35from Callum
38:36Ferry
38:38stops
38:38Falkirk
38:39running
38:40riot
38:44oh to be
38:45a cameraman
38:45in this
38:47weather
38:49that's
38:49what
38:50both teams
38:51have been up
38:51against
38:52and the
38:52official
38:52today
38:53they've
38:54thoroughly
38:54enjoyed
38:54their
38:55afternoon
38:55the home
38:56supporters
38:58Ryan
38:59Strain
39:01still some
39:02defending to be
39:02done
39:03by Kilmarnock
39:04they just
39:04about
39:06get the ball
39:06away
39:10and the
39:11trouble here
39:12potentially for
39:12Scott Bain
39:13he's come
39:13flying out
39:13of his
39:14goal
39:15Kilmarnock
39:15could have
39:16one back
39:17here but
39:17they don't
39:18the open
39:18goal is
39:19missed
39:20a wry smile
39:21on Scott
39:23Bain's face
39:23there
39:23shot with
39:24the pass
39:25back
39:26Yain Owen
39:27unable to
39:28find an
39:29empty net
39:30the conditions
39:31were horrendous
39:31the forecast was
39:33not good
39:33coming out of
39:34the game
39:35I think
39:35we all
39:35knew it
39:36was going
39:37to be
39:37that type
39:38of game
39:39the wind
39:39got stronger
39:40as the
39:40game got
39:41on
39:41the last
39:41ten minutes
39:42when it
39:43was like
39:43hailstones
39:44it was
39:45incredible
39:47so fair play
39:47to the players
39:48and a big
39:49massive thank you
39:50to the fans
39:50that have come
39:51along here today
39:52obviously the
39:52home fans
39:53from my point
39:53of view
39:53but fair play
39:54to the
39:54Kilmarnock
39:55fans that have
39:55came along
39:56here today
39:56and they knew
39:57the conditions
39:57were going to
39:58be terrible
39:58and they've
39:59come along
39:59and they've
40:00paid their
40:00money
40:00and supported
40:01their team
40:01so well done
40:02to you guys
40:03the players
40:04we played
40:04the conditions
40:05we played
40:05the conditions
40:07and maybe
40:08we played
40:09the conditions
40:10maybe a little
40:10bit better
40:11than Kilmarnock
40:12conditions were
40:13shocking to try
40:14and play in
40:14the surface
40:15obviously doesn't
40:16make that any
40:17easier but
40:17Fokker just did
40:18the basics right
40:19today
40:19they did them
40:20better than us
40:20and that's why
40:21they're really
40:23happy with
40:23I'd imagine
40:24the three points
40:25when you look
40:26at it as a
40:28sort of
40:28objective way
40:30you know
40:30yeah it wasn't
40:31great in many
40:32respects but
40:34football isn't
40:34pretty all the
40:35time and
40:37we had to do
40:38the ugly
40:38things right
40:38today and
40:39unfortunately
40:40we didn't
40:41a day to
40:42forget for
40:43Kelly as
40:43Falkirk
40:44continue to
40:45impress
40:45James
40:47I suppose
40:47what sums
40:48it up for
40:48Kelly is that
40:49two of the
40:49goals that
40:50they conceded
40:51were own
40:52goals today
40:52and that
40:53kind of
40:53illustrates
40:54their day
40:55at the office
40:55really
40:55yeah well
40:56I think that
40:56we can all
40:57see how bad
40:58the conditions
40:59are
41:00both managers
41:01speaking about
41:01it and
41:03Falkirk
41:03without doubt
41:04dealt with
41:05them better
41:07I really feel
41:08for them
41:08in this one
41:09because I
41:09think
41:09Murrow's
41:10trying to
41:11head that
41:11back across
41:12goal towards
41:13his teammate
41:14in the middle
41:14and it goes
41:16towards goal
41:18McCarthy
41:18sticks a leg
41:19out and
41:19it goes
41:20beyond the
41:20goalkeeper
41:21this one
41:21is just
41:22such an
41:23outstanding
41:23finish
41:25he doesn't
41:26want praise
41:26for it
41:27but that's
41:28unstoppable
41:28and again
41:29it's just
41:30dealing with
41:30the conditions
41:31how do you
41:32get your
41:32starting position
41:33when the
41:33ball's
41:34given in
41:34the air
41:34if it's
41:35swirling
41:35and you
41:35don't really
41:36know how
41:36to judge
41:36it
41:37and then
41:37you're in
41:37and it
41:38drops
41:38and it's
41:38behind you
41:40stick something
41:41out to try
41:41and defend
41:42it
41:42he's unfortunate
41:45but Falkirk
41:46definitely dealt
41:47with the
41:47conditions
41:47much better
41:48than
41:48come on
41:48Jake
41:49Murrow
41:49on the
41:50score sheet
41:50again
41:50that's
41:50four in
41:50his last
41:51three games
41:51he's been
41:52impressive
41:52when they
41:53lost
41:53Barney Stewart
41:54a lot
41:54of chat
41:55how do you
41:55replace him
41:55but he's
41:56certainly
41:56going a
41:56long way
41:56to doing
41:57that
41:57yeah he's
41:58found another
41:58one
41:58John McGlynn
41:59I think that
42:00you look at
42:00his impact
42:01for the first
42:02goal
42:02this is a
42:03tremendous
42:03header
42:03great run
42:04great header
42:05real power
42:06in it
42:06it's a
42:07Stevie Thompson
42:07special that one
42:09but he has
42:09he's
42:13he's found
42:14another one
42:14John McGlynn
42:15his team was
42:15ripped apart
42:16in the summer
42:16Barney Stewart
42:17how do you
42:18replace him
42:19it's difficult
42:20but he certainly
42:21seems to have
42:21found someone
42:22that's going to
42:22lead the line
42:23and score
42:23goals
42:23Kelly missed
42:24some massive
42:25chances
42:26one of them
42:26is unbelievable
42:27actually
42:27and again
42:28that just
42:29typified that
42:29it really
42:30wasn't happening
42:30for them
42:31yeah
42:31it's danger here
42:32that gets caught
42:33under it
42:33again it's trying
42:35to read it
42:36and deal with the
42:37conditions
42:39so it's not
42:39so it's not a criticism
42:41it's just that
42:41they either go in
42:42a bit too early
42:43and caught under it
42:44they hit the bar
42:45and the one
42:46stage of misses
42:47is at 1-0
42:48as well
42:49which could then
42:49change the whole
42:50momentum of the game
42:51this one's at 3-0
42:53so I think Daniels
42:55can actually get on
42:55the end of that
42:56there
42:56and that is
42:59probably sums up
43:00Kelly's day
43:00you've got an
43:01open goal
43:02I think you should
43:03be scoring here
43:03that's what I know
43:04and he doesn't
43:07and it's going
43:08actually wider
43:08than the six yard
43:09box there
43:10so it's probably
43:11just some
43:11Comarnock up today
43:12that it wasn't
43:13going to be their day
43:14and you know
43:14after Kelly's win
43:15last weekend
43:15I think everyone
43:16well I certainly
43:17thought that
43:17that might be
43:18the catalyst
43:19they'll kick on
43:19they'll find a bit
43:20of confidence
43:20find some momentum
43:22but you know
43:23it's kind of back
43:24to the drawing board
43:24again
43:25how are they going
43:26to find that momentum
43:26when they start
43:27climbing the league
43:28yeah well it's tough
43:29because it's the same
43:29for Falkirk
43:30they've been in games
43:31where they've been
43:32leading
43:32they've conceded
43:33the last minute goals
43:34they're getting draws
43:35or defeats
43:36they've had to
43:37you know
43:38use that as well
43:39they've managed to do it
43:40I think it's
43:42as much as the fans
43:43probably don't want
43:43to hear it
43:44you can write it off
43:44due to the conditions
43:45and I know
43:46you'll say both teams
43:47play in it
43:47but that's not the way
43:48that Comarnock want to play
43:49it's not the way
43:50Falkirk want to play
43:51and they dealt with it better
43:52I think it's just
43:53you try and put that away
43:54as quick as you can
43:55and move forward
43:55and put it down
43:57to not being able
43:58to deal with the conditions
43:58as opposed to being
43:59a really poor performance
44:01yeah okay
44:02to Paisley
44:03where St Mirren
44:04badly needed a win
44:05standing in their way
44:06for Dundee
44:08this is such an important
44:10game in Paisley
44:11as St Mirren
44:11host Dundee
44:12the buddies looking
44:13to end a run of five
44:15without a win
44:16Dundee are unbeaten
44:18in three
44:23St Mirren make one change
44:24from defeating
44:25Aberdeen
44:25Paul Encio is out
44:27Henry Fieldson
44:28comes in to the side
44:32Dundee's out
44:33an unchanged team
44:34from an impressive draw
44:35with Rangers
44:36the goal scorers
44:37in that one
44:38were Jones and Fink
44:46Dundee look to get
44:47the ball forward
44:49Sektner didn't have it
44:51sliding pass through
44:53Kabyat
44:53and drills it right at
44:55Owen Goodman
44:59St Mirren have settled
45:00well with the conditions
45:02this afternoon
45:05long ball from Chapman
45:07finds Sula
45:08Calvin Ramsey is pointing
45:10and shoots
45:11and Ramsey scores
45:14his first St Mirren goal
45:19and that's one that will
45:21settle the nerves
45:22in Paisley
45:24Craig McLeish stressing
45:25the team are still confident
45:27and believe in what
45:28they are doing
45:29it was excellent movement
45:33good vision from the
45:35goalkeeper
45:36Sula held
45:37Ramsey
45:38exploited the space
45:39in the Dundee defence
45:40the goalkeeper gets a touch
45:41but it trickles in
45:43so much space there
45:45for St Mirren
45:46and the Buddies are ahead
45:48and the Buddies are ahead
45:48and the Buddies are ahead
46:00right intercepts
46:01but John does well
46:02to pounce
46:04Kabyat
46:05Hamilton takes over
46:07but the referee
46:08Stephen McLean
46:08will blow the whistle
46:09for a St Mirren free kick
46:12Callum Jones is frustrated
46:13with that decision
46:16Kaby has looked dangerous
46:17and threatening
46:18every time he's picked up
46:19the ball in this first half
46:22Thomas stands over
46:23the free kick
46:29whipped in
46:30St Mirren race in front
46:32as Ramsey
46:32has spilled
46:34and Dundee managed
46:35to get it clear
46:37oh Calvin Ramsey
46:38so close
46:40so close
46:40to adding
46:42to his first
46:42St Mirren goal
46:43already scored
46:44in this match
46:46so close
46:47to a double
46:54Fraser with the pass
46:55and receives again
46:59threatening cross
47:00to the back
47:02Sula leaves it
47:04for John
47:06goodman makes the save
47:07that looked a difficult one
47:11there's a vicious strike
47:12from Declan John
47:13when the ball arrived
47:15goodman almost lands
47:16on top of it
47:18well that'll take some
47:19time to dry
47:26St Mirren patient
47:29this is Killian Phillips
47:30clips the ball over
47:32it's Sula
47:34and it's 2-0
47:35St Mirren
47:38Deciosa
47:38Sula
47:39who's had to step up
47:41after injury
47:42struck the St Mirren team
47:46has scored
47:47a vital goal
47:50it gives St Mirren fans
47:52a bit more comfort
47:53it's an excellent cross
47:54from Phillips
47:55and Sula knows
47:56he doesn't have to do
47:57too much
47:58it's all about being light
48:00and directing the header
48:03St Mirren 2
48:04Dundee now
48:05and they've deserved
48:07this lead
48:11Dundee look to hit back
48:15it's a St Mirren head
48:16Forest will look to the tree
48:17for Dundee
48:19clips it over
48:20he's there
48:21and he has got to score
48:25it's point blank range
48:27a lovely clip ball in
48:29from Alan Forest
48:30and the Dundee supporters
48:32behind that goal
48:32were expecting the net
48:33to bulge
48:38Ramsey
48:40St Mirren fancy
48:41a third
48:42it's through for John
48:43the cutback for Sula
48:44it's a bit of a slide
48:46and scramble
48:46Ramsey
48:47strikes
48:49over the crossbar
48:51but the Liverpool low knee
48:53has had
48:53a few decent opportunities
48:56in this game
48:57another one falls to him
48:59here
49:00good work from Sula
49:01to keep it alive
49:06Dundee running out of time
49:08the ball threaded through
49:10it's Fink
49:11stopped
49:11Fink has it again
49:13and Fink scores that time
49:16back to back goals
49:18for Bradley Fink
49:19and is he sparking
49:21a Dundee comeback
49:24Stephen Presley
49:25applauds
49:26as the supporters
49:26celebrate
49:30now they've turned
49:31the pressure up
49:31in this second half
49:32it's a slip
49:33from Gogic
49:35could the goalkeeper
49:36be doing better
49:36with the first
49:37to try and keep a hold
49:39of it
49:39Fink doesn't care
49:40he's on the score sheet
49:42and Dundee have life
49:52intense pacing
49:53in the technical areas
49:59right
50:00is hoping to see this
50:01back to his goalkeeper
50:02on the St. Mirren
50:04fans claim
50:05did Goodman use hands
50:07Ramsey went down
50:08too
50:10plenty of questions
50:11being asked of the
50:12officials
50:12let's have another look
50:15the home crowd
50:17are unhappy
50:21Goodman under pressure
50:23gives it away
50:24it's the substitute
50:25Young
50:26and he scoops it
50:28high and not so
50:28handsome
50:30what an opportunity
50:31for St. Mirren
50:32to extend
50:33their advantage
50:35Young just gets
50:36a little too excited
50:40into Aderon time
50:43slip through
50:44Hamilton
50:45twists away
50:46it's Hamilton
50:47oh rattles
50:48the crossbar
50:50an inch away
50:52from levelling
50:54the score
50:54as Ethan Hamilton
50:55looks to the heavens
50:59what venom
51:00in the strike
51:01but the woodwork
51:03comes to
51:04St. Mirren's rescue
51:06and that's it
51:07full time
51:09a huge three points
51:11for Craig McLeish
51:12and St. Mirren
51:13it's disappointment
51:14for Dundee
51:15and it's all kicking off
51:17after the full time
51:18whistle
51:18as Chapman and Fink
51:20come together
51:21the Dundee striker
51:23is very unhappy
51:24with something
51:25that's been said
51:26down there
51:28and now all the
51:29substitutes get involved
51:30too
51:32there's some overtime
51:33for referee
51:34Stephen McLean
51:35here
51:35after the whistle
51:38Craig McLeish
51:39applauds
51:40the home support
51:42the yellow card
51:43shown
51:43one to Halliday
51:45the Dundee
51:46substitute
51:49there might be
51:50a few more
51:51here
51:51I expect
51:52one for Fink
51:54and Stephen McLean
51:55is scanning
51:56for someone else
51:57Chapman moves
51:58away
51:59Gogich gets
52:00the yellow card
52:02but amongst it all
52:03St. Mirren
52:03end a run
52:04of five games
52:04without a win
52:05and stop Dundee's
52:06unbeaten run
52:07in the process
52:08St. Mirren
52:08two
52:09Dundee one
52:10it's massive
52:11for us
52:11just to
52:12get out of the run
52:13that we've been on
52:15through the full thing
52:17we just try to
52:17shut out the noise
52:18from the outside
52:19and focus on
52:21what we're trying to do
52:22we deserve that
52:23today
52:24the boys deserve that
52:25we probably needed
52:26something like that
52:26where it's a
52:27really good performance
52:29in all aspects
52:30of our game
52:30we didn't give up
52:32too many chances
52:34they obviously
52:35have the shot
52:36right at the end
52:36and I think
52:37if that one goes in
52:38I was probably
52:38walking home tonight
52:40second half
52:40much much better
52:42far more
52:44opportunities
52:45in the final third
52:46and better decision making
52:47as I've said
52:48in terms of
52:49playing behind
52:50and building correctly
52:52so I was pleased
52:53with aspects
52:54of the second half
52:56although I was
52:57pleased with aspects
52:58I was pleased with
52:59our bravery
52:59in the first half
53:00in terms of
53:01the conditions
53:01and the build
53:02we just didn't ask
53:03them defensively
53:05enough questions
53:07the weather in Paisley
53:08absolutely brutal
53:09but such a big
53:11and important win
53:11for St Mirren
53:12and for Craig McLeish
53:13in particular
53:14James
53:14obviously coming in
53:15for some flag
53:15after five
53:16straight defeats
53:17but tonight
53:18after ten games
53:19St Mirren are in the top six
53:20now that is never
53:22ever to be complained about
53:23as a St Mirren supporter
53:24having been one
53:26and having played
53:27for St Mirren
53:28you're sitting in the top six
53:29you're doing something right
53:29yeah especially
53:30given that
53:31before today
53:33he'd lost five in a row
53:33he's still in the top six
53:35but that's why
53:35the pressure mounts
53:36because
53:37even throughout that run
53:38there was some good football
53:39in there
53:40really good performances
53:42at times
53:42maybe a bit
53:43naive as a team
53:44too open
53:45and easy to play against
53:46easy to score against
53:48that would have been
53:49a challenge for him today
53:50coming up against
53:51a Dundee side
53:51who have had plenty of applaudits
53:53and rightfully so
53:54can you match them
53:55for their football
53:56can you match them
53:56for their aggression
53:58can you stand up to them
53:59putting pressure
54:00on you
54:00in terms of
54:01being aggressive
54:02in their press
54:03playing some good football
54:04in really tough conditions
54:06and they did that
54:07and they managed to
54:09see it out at the end
54:10as well
54:10where when it's not
54:11your day
54:12normally
54:13those tend to find
54:14the back of the net
54:15but they managed to get it done
54:16fantastic performance
54:17takes the pressure off
54:19a little bit
54:19until the next game
54:21there's always pressure
54:22Kevin Ramsey
54:22he got the first
54:23what was he doing
54:23at centre forward
54:24I've no idea
54:25but I love it
54:26because
54:28Dundee
54:29when you see it
54:30from this angle
54:30you're looking and saying
54:31why is he there
54:32and I'm still thinking
54:33why is he there
54:34Suley does brilliant
54:35it's a great run
54:36from Ramsey
54:37cool finish
54:38and
54:39you can see
54:40the space
54:41that he's in
54:41here
54:42and you're wondering
54:43how
54:43how and why
54:45is he in that
54:46position
54:47Dundee as I said
54:48are really aggressive
54:49in the press
54:49they go man for man
54:51you've got Bevan
54:52that will step
54:52from centre back
54:53into the midfield
54:54and go wherever he has to go
54:55which is what you have to do
54:56Forrest is on Ramsey
54:58and you see him there
54:59turning round to
55:00Arslan saying
55:01you have to take him
55:02but you can't
55:03because they're man for man
55:03Suley's peeled in the wide area
55:05Alan Forrest has to stay
55:07with Calvin Ramsey
55:08he doesn't
55:09Ramsey continues his run
55:10spots his space
55:12is it something
55:12that none of them have worked on
55:13I would have to say
55:14they've identified it
55:15because of how aggressive
55:16Dundee are
55:16and when you've got
55:17a man for man press
55:19if you're up against it
55:21run
55:21run away
55:22if there's space
55:23run into it
55:24and when you don't have the ball
55:26when you're on the ball
55:27if you make that run
55:28it's on your defender
55:29to go and match you
55:30Forrest switches off
55:31tries to pass him off
55:32which he can't
55:32because you're man for man
55:33and St Mern take advantage
55:34I'd have to say
55:35it's been identified
55:36by the coach
55:36or Ramsey
55:37in that moment
55:39to say there's space here
55:40I'm going to run into it
55:41Suley got the second goal
55:42it's his second goal
55:43in two games
55:44and again
55:46his confidence
55:46will be sky high
55:47just now
55:47because he needed that
55:48and that's exactly
55:49what you want
55:50for your striker
55:50he's got an assist
55:51in this game
55:53and he's got a goal
55:54exactly where you want
55:55your striker to be
55:56I think he's shown
55:56at times
55:57he is raw
55:58of course
56:00but the more that he plays
56:02the better he's going to become
56:03and that is
56:03St Mern
56:04as a team
56:05they've got a young team
56:06they've got a coach
56:07that wants to develop players
56:08and give them opportunity
56:09and to do that
56:11you have to stick with players
56:12you need to give them
56:12that confidence
56:13Suley after a good cross
56:15from Kelly and Phillips
56:15in the right position
56:17to not home
56:17Dundee came into the game
56:18in really good form
56:20I think a lot of people
56:21probably expected them
56:22to beat St Mern
56:23today with the form
56:23that St Mern were in
56:26why didn't they show
56:27today
56:28was it the conditions again
56:30or
56:30Stephen Presley
56:31said he was happy
56:32with aspects of the game
56:33but it wasn't as strong
56:34a performance
56:35as we've seen from him
56:36over the last couple
56:37of weeks anyway
56:37No I think
56:38St Mern going to the
56:393-4-3
56:40means that
56:40even though they're
56:41going to be aggressive
56:42in the press
56:42you see with the goal
56:44the first goal
56:45they don't get that right
56:46then it's trying to
56:47set and guess
56:48or make sure you get it right
56:49I think you just need
56:50to credit St Mern
56:51they did really well
56:52deserve to win the game
56:54and Dundee
56:55they're going to be
56:55like everybody else
56:56sometimes they're going
56:57to be up
56:57sometimes they're going
56:58to be down
56:59but I think that
56:59St Mern deserved
57:00a victory overall
57:01OK
57:01let's have a wee look
57:03at the table
57:06Celtic top
57:06they play Hibs tomorrow
