Refinery29 had senior beauty editor Megan McIntyre donate her mane to the cause of Conair Infiniti Pro Curl, a weird little gadget which is supposed to automatically curl your hair. Watch on to see if it's a yay or nay.

00:08Hey guys, it's Megan from Refinery29. I'm here in the beauty test lab today trying out
00:12Con Air's Infinity Pro Curl Secret. This little gadget is something you may have seen on TV.
00:17It's supposed to replace a curling iron. You simply put your hair in it and it automatically
00:21wraps it around and creates a curl. You can do loose waves or a tighter curl. Let's go ahead
00:26and give it a try. So you put it in where you want the curl to start and then clamp
00:30down and then
00:31you hold it until it beeps and then you let it out and it won't take my hair oh my
00:36god you guys
00:36get it out get it out get it out. So I'm gonna do just the bottom of my hair and
00:44then you press down
00:46until it beeps and then you let go and it curls it. I have it on the loose wave setting
00:52so you
00:53can go to a higher setting it's a higher temperature and that'll give you a tighter more defined curl.
00:59I'm gonna go ahead and do another section and we'll put it on 10 this time. So I'm just gonna
01:03go ahead and do a couple little more pieces because I don't want to bore you by doing my whole
01:06head.
01:07So let's take a look and see how it goes. The idea of putting my hair into a moving gadget
01:13scares the
01:14crap out of me so I think that's why I'm a little cautious with this. I think it's great for
01:20the ends
01:20of your hair like I've done here. I've just added a little bit of movement a little bit of body
01:23towards the end but I wouldn't put it all the way up at the top of my head and curl
01:27my whole head.
01:29I would prefer my curling iron for that. So it definitely works and it's a nifty product but use with
01:36caution.
