00:26I do use primers every day. I have very, very, very oily skin and acne-prone skin, so I always
00:33tend to use a mattifying primer.
00:35It makes me think it's helping, and so I just keep using it, but I don't know if it actually
00:39works.
00:40I do use primers every day, usually for moisturizing, because my skin is really dry. I like to flake off.
00:45It's like the Sahara Desert on my face. I just know you're supposed to put it on, so I put
00:49it on.
00:49It makes me feel better.
00:50I have been on the search for the perfect primer to help keep my skin matte for, like, my entire
00:56life.
00:56Alright, so let's check what these primers have to offer.
00:58This one, I already know it's gonna be for you, because it is the ELF Aqua Beauty Aqua Primer Mist.
01:05And since you're all about the moisturizing, I'm gonna hand this one off to you.

01:11We have this AOA Studio Wonderskin Mattifying Primer.
01:16I already know that this is going to be the one I will be using, because I need it.
01:21Here we have a ELF Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer.
01:25So maybe this is gonna help the eyeshadow stay on longer, or maybe it'll help it have, like, a better
01:31pop.
01:32This one is the In Your Prime Ultimate Eye Primer.

01:37Yeah, Flower. It's her makeup brand.
01:40The next one we have is actually a lip primer, which I'm super excited to try out.
01:44Ever eat a burrito with makeup? Like, it's not fun.
01:47And then here's another ELF lip primer.
01:50This one is just a regular liquid lip primer in the clear color.
01:54Now that we know what all the primers are supposed to do, I think it's time that we put them
01:58to the test.

02:06In order to test this, we are going to only do it on half of our faces, and we'll be
02:10putting on our everyday makeup with a little bit of a pop,
02:13just so that we can really try everything out.
02:15This is the ELF Aqua Primer Mist.

02:23I'm gonna start with the AOA Studio Wonder Skin Mattifying Primer.

02:43This primer is definitely a bang for your buck, because you only need, like, the smallest microscopic amount.

02:59Both sides right now just feel the same, I'm not gonna lie.
03:03This side, where I put the primer, I feel like is having a little bit more hold on it.
03:13So, I'm moving on to my eyes, actually.
03:16So, I will be starting out with the ELF Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer.
03:20This is the Flower In Your Prime Eye Primer, which I am so excited to try.

03:39I feel like when I do this, it kind of pulls my eye a little bit.

03:50So, I'm gonna go ahead and put on my lip primer.
03:53And, mine is the liquid lip primer from ELF.
03:57And, once again, I will only be putting it on this side of my lip.

04:11I hate to be the one to tell you this, but we only have to do it on this side

04:30It feels super smooth and I really like it.

04:37I'm gonna give it a shot and try this red lipstick, because I'm sure it'll be great.
04:42My lips are tacky now on my right side, and I'm going to do a liquid lip.

04:53To be honest, though, it doesn't look awful.
04:56It's not anything that I would ever try again, but we'll see how it also ends up looking at the

05:05We have this side of our face primed and this side with no primer.
05:08So, we're gonna see how it lasts throughout the day.
05:10She's gonna go take some tequila shots.
05:13I'm gonna go clean my apartment.
05:15We're gonna put the primers to the test, and the next time you'll see us is going to be at
05:18the very end of the day.
05:22It is almost midnight, so I really went all out for this.
05:27I'm actually really surprised, and now I'm kind of considering whether or not I should even pay money for primer,
05:33because I don't really see a difference.
05:35I honestly thought that the left side of my face was just gonna melt off in a little bit, but
05:41it didn't.
05:42The one bad thing is, oh my god, I have probably spent so much money on primer in my life,
05:47and now it's like, do I even need it?
05:49I just got home, and this is what my makeup looks like currently.
05:53Honestly, I'm like pleasantly surprised a little bit for how good it's looking for,
05:58I ate something, you know, I had a couple drinks with some friends, was talking a lot,
06:02moving my mouth, and the lipstick stayed on pretty good,
06:05which I'm a little shit by because that lip primer really scared me.
06:11For the face primer, I thought it was nice.
06:13I might use it again, but I tend to usually go for something a little bit more moisturizing.
06:18My mascara is flaking off less on this side, which is the side that I used the flower primer with.
06:23Overall, I'd have to say I appreciate primers a little bit more after this experience.
06:29This test was a fail in a way, because this side also stayed the same,
06:34so you know what, let's just say it's a win-win all around,
06:38because there's no losers in Test Lab.
